starting fellow Arena in the hands of

Hoy Martinez looking for his second

double win in the last three seasons

here in Lemon. And do not discount Joan

Zark. He might need some rain. Will the

rain fall at some point in this Grand

Prix of France. Round five about to get

underway. Lights out and we're racing

here in Lemon. It's a great start from

composition by Pekco Bangari as he goes

through the gearbox. The front wheel

comes down. The smoke though from Bangi.

Great start by Marco Betski. Hoy

Martinez coming through. He goes in

between the gel Antonio and Banga. Drops

back though now does he behind Fabio

Quatroy. Betseeki it is the leads. A

Costa's up into second place and Quataro

third. Well boxed in that time before

him. Martine tried to pull the same

trick but the door slam shut in his

face. A Costa straight up the inside of

Quataro. Then it's D Antonio and the

pulls it to Banya. Back to fifth. Oh,

look at this. Through into second place

goes into Lashipel goes Quataro on a

Costa into turn six. The French fans are

on their feet. They are already going

wild as Quatro has made the perfect

start here over P2.

>> This is though the perfect situation too

for the world championship leader Marco.

A Costa attacking again. Is he up the

inside ofQuataro, but he is so so good

on the brakes just as Tranmir from

yesterday. Quotaro is not easy to pass.

>> Yeah, there's Martin trying to chop it

out through garage there with Alex

Marquez. It has not been he got the

initial jump off the line in Martin, but

as Lewis said, he got a bit boxed in in

that first chicane. He's back through on

Alex. Here comes Dan Mir a long long way

back into the Shaman birth essence as

well. He's not able to find a way

through but as it stands Martin down in

seventh

>> exactly where he started in this bridge.

Here comes Ayura attacking on the inside

of Joan Zarka which won't earn him any

frames here with the French fans but

Zarko fighting straight back again.

>> Yeah and Luke really comes out the worst

of that because a little bit like the

Banga Vinyas incident a couple of years

ago. Agur and Marie fighting for the

same piece of time. Oh Zarko's been done

dirty there. Big S landing by Ralph

Fernandez. He got picked up by Fernando

a couple of quarter after he got lifted

by Ayura. This time around it's Ralph

Hernandez and Zarko has been dumped down

to 15th

>> and Banya now attacking Fabio Jan

Antonio trying to make up from another

fourstar. Not as poor a start for Diga

this time around. He's running fifth

again as Baya takes in. It is Agora the

leading track as V. I think it was twice

with Ralph Fernandez but we had problems

there for John Zaro. Someone's down in

the first game. I think it's Alex

Marquez who's tumbling down our order.

Alex Marquez crashed twice here in the

Grand Prix last year and he looks like

he's in a bit of pain down at Dunlop.

>> It's turning into a wretched weekend for

the Marquez siblings, isn't it?

Nightmare for both Mark and Alex.

Alexent looks like he might just been

pinned underneath that Dicati GP26.

>> He's under the right hand side of the

bike and he was through a lefthander. So

clearly a little bit of a strange crash

there for Alex Marquez

>> where he's so so good and he's getting

on with business here. Michael Bki, he's

just at the fat lap of this race.

Bangaya on the inside of Quataro on that

long run through the first corner.

Quatar trying to fire back immediately.

Banga goes really defensive there on the

brakes into turn three with Beti getting

on with it. A 131.380 from the Italian.

Fastest lap so far. He's lean now over

half a second clear of the cost.

>> Yeah, crucial move because if you want

to win this corn three, you can't spend

too much time. With all due respect, up

behind Fabio Quataro's Yamaha that we're

not expecting to have the pace to stick

around at the front for the entire 27

laps. particularly if all of those laps

take place in dry conditions given he

has that soft front tire on. Here's

Martine running in sixth place. He's

just under two seconds at the moment

behind his race leading and championship

contending teammate.

The curb cam on the inside of garage

there picks up the lead group then now

charging towards Pedro Costa. Just

having a little bit of a trouble with a

tear off it looked like as he went down

to the Shiman birth on the Dicati. They

go through the gearbox up to about 310

km an hour. Through this scary first

corner now through turn two we go. And

here comes Beco on the inside. Surely a

Costa into turn three. That is lovely.

That was set up on what three or four

corners before that move was made. A

little bit wide though on the exit of

four. A Costa trying to strike straight

back.

>> Yeah, he had to make that move because

Beti started to stretch clear at the

front of the race. 8/10 his advantage at

the start of the lap. While that was

happening, De Jan Antonio took Quataro

into Dunlock 2. So he's now up into

fourth place. Cottoaro's now got Horge

Martin up behind him. He's now got H

Martine up the inside of him. More

places lost for Quotaro. Back to six.

Dig Dati was twitch. He was nervous

there as he grabbed the handle of break

going into turn seven. Yeah, Quataro's

tactic here was quite clear, wasn't it?

Stick in the soft front, soft rear.

Let's just go gung-ho. All guns blazing

at the start of this Grand Prix and hang

in there for as long as we can. But the

slide has started for Quataro. He is now

back in sixth place. Maybe a bit of a

gamble too, hoping that some rain would

come so that he could get rid of those

tires and move over to his wet short

bike. No imminent sign at the moment of

that happening. So what does Pekka Baya

have now? He didn't have the pace to

challenge the Ailia up ahead of him

yesterday. Him Martine very much had him

covered in the sprint, but Bayanya

getting that move done on a Costa. Still

plenty of time to go. We're not even at

one/3 distance yet. It's just under a

second the advantage between Betseeki

and the rider who we expect to be his

teammate at Arillia next year.

4-year contract to join Marco Veti on an

RSGP. A new 850 cc powered RSGP of

course next year as now Agura is really

starting to hunt down Fabio Quattaro.

Quoteraro 6 that might be P7 very very

quickly. In fact, it is right now

Quattroaro gets lifted by Aguru who goes

in a little bit hot and now Aguru would

have lost places to Quataro and to Joan

Mia. He think he'd have been better off

keeping an eye on what was going on up

ahead of him because most people have

been passing quataro into the Dunlop

chicane. Agora wasn't prepared to wait

for that and we know how good he is

through that first sector. So I think a

little bit of impatience there from

Agora. We've got Martine and Jan Antonio

getting stuck into each other now into

the Dunlop chicane to Jan Antonio not

letting that one go easily. The problem

is they are letting the top three go

while they have this particular little

melee. Janton is a little bit offline

going through Lashell is going to cut to

a late apex. On the inside he goes and

says thank you very much back through a

Martin. This particular battle though is

playing in the hands of beti banya and a

costa. Now Martin tends on the inside of

diga into turn seven.

>> Baya is really closing in. He took 410

on the last lap out of Marco betseki and

he's dragging Pedro Aosta along with

him. This top three starting to close up

now.

>> Said on Friday you could just see Banga

his body language on the bike. The way

he was throwing and wrestling and

musting the dicati GP26 around this

lemon circuit. It just looked like

vintage old PCO B. We've said so often,

haven't we, over the last 18 months?

Well, is this the weekend where BO is

back? This is how Marco Bseeki likes to

operate. He's right in his comfort zone

here. Get to the front early on and then

just keep clicking the laps. This is

another dibble for Agura on Quadro. This

time around, he hasn't made it work.

Previous time it was a Bort and he lost

a place to Dan as well. So worth to

start a new season in Moto GP with four

podiums in a row since Spart did it back

in 2016. Yellow flags are out in sector

two.

Diego Morera unfortunately well having

taken his first sprint finish for points

finish yesterday. Diego Morera just

worked his way up into points going

places in this French Grand Prix but

he's out on the LCR Honda as it stands

right now. out. Lucho Czechinello, Joan

Zarko, Elsia Honda and 100,000 French

fans need the heavens to open here if

there's going to be a repeat of Zarko's

success one year ago because at the

moment Zarko still stuck down in 13th

place around 6 and 1/2 seconds he is

back at Betski last time around.

>> Well, the Costa is known as the shark

and the Jaws music right now is being

fired up for the 37 because Jorge Martin

IS FLYING FLY. OH, HAS GONE DOWN. PCO

BAYA. WELL, his Sunday disasters

continue. What a weekend to forget it

has been for the Factory Daty team. It's

now going to be 10 successive Grand Prix

that the Factory Dicati team is going to

be podiumless. This is all pressure.

This is pressure trying to run the pace

of Betski at the front. The pressure

trying to resist Pedro Aosta behind him.

And it is yet another Sunday DNF for

Pekka Vangaya. his third in the opening

five Grand Prix to kickoff 2026. Of

course, he ended last year with five

successive DNFS. Banga dumps out of

second place. Martin on the podium.

>> So much to be positive about this

weekend for Pekco Baya pole position and

another sprint silver, but once again no

Sunday points.

>> Might think that it's a Costa versus

Bangai, but we know that Banya has

crashed out of contention. Well, this is

a move that Hoy Martine will be making

very, very quickly. We know how good the

Arillia is down force through high speed

corners, which is what you need through

turns one and two here in the M. It's

such an agile bike. The corner speed the

Arillia has. He's Martin going to be

close enough to strike on A Costa into

the first chicane. You bet he is. Seizes

the inside line. Beautiful move that by

Martin. He'll just drop across the nose

now of A Costa. Blocking the exit speed

of Aosta. Just about to chop the

throttle there. Broke the Costa momentum

as well. Brilliant work that tactically

superb by Martin. He's second and the

win looming.

>> Pedro Aosta was trying to go for the

undercut to go back underneath Martin

out of Dunlop, but Martine just parked

his Ailia on the apex, the second apex

of Dun and was able to fend that move

off. So 1.6 seconds is the advantage

that Marcoi has over Horge Martine. This

looks set now to be the battle for

victory in this French Grand Prix in the

final 10 laps. And in the context of

this season, the battle for the world

championship too is in terms of lap

times between the two factory as they

match each other on the last lap. Here's

Dan Mia looking to pass Fabio Quarter,

which he spent most of this weekend

trying to do. And much like Hoy Martine

on a Costa a lap ago, he finally got

that one figured out. That's for sixth

place. Come what May was going through

there, wasn't he? Into turn three and

four. Martine's taken 410 out of Marco

Beteki in just the first sector of this

current lap. Marco beti must be well

aware by now that it's Martin that's

chasing him of course having passed the

cost and Martin has his eyes set on

another lemon double

>> what kind of opportunity they've got

here when he started this lap Martine

second behind Betski of course that was

a second that he lost in that one lap of

battling with Fabio de Jan Antonio's

crashed out then fighting for a double

top six here in Lamont Mia confirmation

on your screens it's Another DNF in the

column for the 2020 world champion.

Heret was his first Grand Prix finish of

the year. Now Agura, he's been

threatening this. He has been

threatening this for quite a long time.

They might really in a Costa here.

>> Yeah, there could be a lockout yet.

>> Yeah, A Costa then. We know that Ayura

how good he is with his late race pace.

I mean, come and make a case for even

Ayura getting himself into the victory

battle here, let alone the podium.

>> Well, he matched Betski's pace last time

around. He's 2.8 off the lead. It will

take something very special for Ayagura,

but we know he's a special rider. That's

Drama trudging away from the scene of

his accident. Fortunately, that

continues a rather unfamiliar one and

likely pattern for him. Certainly won't

be happy with another Sunday DNF even if

he did pick up points in the sprint

yesterday. Mia out of what would have

been sixth place. This then the battle

for the lead. You can see the top five

virtually in one camera shot. Doesn't

include Brad Binder who's made a

complete mess of his factory KTM. Yeah,

that's put it in the back of the truck

and rebuild it on Wednesday in Barcelona

next weekend. That's a rapid get off

there as well on the entry for Binda

into turn seven.

So at the moment down to 15th place Jack

Miller that will be the first point

scoring finish of Miller's campaign.

Frankie Madelli's just being told to

drop one position further down that he

maybe make a pass on the yellow flags.

Paul or Joan Mir that takes the sprint

and GP DNFS up to 53 as a factory Honda

rider. The message is loud and clear now

to Marco Bseeki on the pit board plus

0.8

he's being told as the gap between him

and Hoy Martin which is pretty much

where it sits at just under that 8/10 of

a second. Still six laps remaining here

for Marco Betski to hold off this

relentless pressure from Martin. And

talking about pressure and it being

relentless, what about a Costa Agura in

the battle of the final place on the

podium?

>> Midelli's position drop by the way was

for causing contact. We haven't se what

that contact was, but he has now given

that position up to Alex Rin. He now

runs 14th. There's some of Brad Binder's

KTM debris still in the gravel track.

Martin just took a 10th out of the last

lap. We've got six laps to go this

French Grand Prix and it's going to take

it's going to take more than that. It's

going to take more than the odd tenth of

a second from Martin. is Bzeki just

squeezing enough pace out of his Arillia

to hold off his teammate.

>> Arillia should have already had their

first ever podium lockout in a Mon GP

race that should have been in Austin,

Texas when Ayagura was charging through

the pack before he had the heartache the

engine failure of Prios Masimo really

before he congratulated Michaeli on his

win in Austin. His first words were to

console trackillia and Aagura trying to

make sure that there's no drama this

time around is Agura. He will know Agura

has proven so often throughout 2026 on

worn tires on worn Michelin rubber. He's

one of the fastest riders in the world

and that Pedro cost has got some pain

coming here in Lemon because Zura

picking up some slip street behind him.

Nothing wrong with the top speed of the

KTM or the Ailia but we know this is

where Agura has been strong. How

defensive will it cost to go? Can I cost

him do anything? No, he can't. We're

going to have an ARIA one, two, three

here in Lemon.

>> And Ayakura,

he's been waiting so long, hasn't he,

for a Moto GP podium. Even if this is

his second season, he's been knocking on

the door on a few occasions. He's really

about to walk through it. Look at the

gap though, top left of your screens.

It's down to just 3/10 of a second. Now

it was a quarter of a second on the last

lap from Martin that he took out of and

the battle is firmly on now between the

two factory of Trillers. This battle is

for much more than bragging rights, much

more than 25 points. This is potentially

for world championship supremacy in

2026.

>> Oh, hey Martin's last double win was

right here in the French Grand Prix in

2024. Aprilia have only ever had two

double wins. Elacia Sparrow in front of

his home crowd at Cataloonia 3 years

ago. Maverick Finan at Austin in 2024.

That is where Hy Martin could be heading

right now as he starts powering on

towards Michael Veki's rear tire. Bet

Seki is in trouble here because Hoy

Martin quite clearly has got a far

better pace late on. Four and a few a

little bit of laps remaining here in

Lemon and Ailia one two three Beckens.

What a day this could be for the Nwali

factory.

>> Yeah, the fascination now is which order

will these three the three Arillas

finishing. Agura's doing 314s. He's the

fastest rider on the track at the

moment. So he's not too far away from

closing this pair. If we get a big

battle here between Beti and Martine

that might bring Ayura into play. Thing

is Beti is not slow. He's doing 314s,

but Martin has just got the superior

pace. Unreal this speed by Martin.

Absolutely unreal. Where will he think

is going to be the optimal moment to try

and attack Marco beti Aura 20 years as

in 2006 the last time a Japanese rider

was on a drive Maj race podium? That was

Shini Nano of course. 2012 was the last

time we had a Japanese rider on a Moto

GP podium. Katsuyuki Nagasuga Valencia

in a wet race in 2012. Japan have been

waiting for one. The next generation

talent, the next generation star. They

have it coming down there with Ayura.

Here comes Martin though. This is

massive. Not just for this French Grand

Prix, but in terms of the psychological

warfare raging inside that Arillia

garage. When will Martin pounce? When

will he feel like it's his time to

strike? Well, it might look calm there,

Massimaru, but I can assure you there

will be butterflies in his stomach. His

stomach will be churning, watching his

two factory teammates go head to head.

Martin, of course, did all of his work

on the first lap yesterday. Is he

leading it late on Sunday?

>> It's been very, very rare. This does not

happen very often, does it? Where Marco

beti gets chased down and passed when

he's led so much of a motor GP race. So,

here comes Martin. Not close enough to

attack into recorded one. Surely though,

he's just going to try and pick up the

drive, pick up a bit of clear air behind

Marco Base's RSGP. Now, can he get close

enough to make a move into this first UK

on board with Martin sixth gear, just

over 300 km an hour? Great corner speed

this time. Martin, he comes from a long,

LONG WAY BACK. AND OY MARTIN on the

inside of Baseki into turn three. Three

laps to go and it's a turn three that

Martin makes his move. Beti, what have

you got?

>> Surprised. BKI didn't see that one

coming. Cen quite a long way back and he

just might bet have to dry really on the

outside of turn three. So beti had no

opportunity to fight back into turn

four. Does he have anything by way of a

counterattack here? It looks already as

if the answer might be no cuz look at

already Martin as he tries to squeeze

the power out of museum corner turn

seven. He's already stretching out an

advantage. It's already a third of a

second.

>> Unreal. Unreal. What a weekend this has

been for Martin. did say to me, can we

make a case two or three laps ago for

Ayura to maybe stick his nose in this

victory battle? Well, I think we can.

Pedro Aosta, well, he's dropped right

out of contention. He actually might

lose fourth place to Fabio the Gal

Antonio. The rate he's going. Quataro is

still in sixth place. Bastini is seven.

Back at the front though, Beteki has got

nothing. Marco Baseki has got nothing to

counter this onslaught from Hoy Martine.

And it has been an onslaught. Yeah, he

came, remember, from over 2 and 1/2

seconds back earlier on in the race. He

was seventh, wasn't he, for so much of

the early stages. He stayed patient.

He's made the moves when he could.

They've all been very clean. And in the

end, he's going to be rewarded if he can

hold this for two more laps with an

extraordinary Sunday victory. Of course,

we've seen MO Martin win sprints, but he

has yet to win a Sunday Grand Prix since

winning the World Championship late in

2024. He's got two more laps to end that

run. What's going through the minds

right now of Arillia their race

department has turned that RSGP into the

reference motorcycle in M GP right now

they have never had in their history a

one two three so so close to it weren't

they in Austin a few weeks ago

you know he might be he might be closing

in on mark this is not a given that bez

is going to hang on to second place here

and if

can get through on betseki Paul Martin

will leave them on leading the M GP

World Championship.

>> Yeah, of course. Led it for 24 hours

when he won the sprint in Austin earlier

on the season. Course lost a second on

that lap because of the move of him

Martine which really hung him out to dry

down at the Dunlop chicade. He started

to stabilize that a bit on this current

lap. It's around 7/10 of a second which

is what it started the lap as. There's

nothing stable about Pedro Costa's

advantage at the moment in that fourth

place. The Jan Antonio has got a lap and

a half to try and snatch those 13 points

away from the Spaniard. It's quite

amazing to think right now if you

believe the gossip columns for 2027 two

of the three ailers that are at the

front of this French Grand Prix will not

be on Ailia's next season. Hoy Marti and

Ayur are strongly linked to hooking up

together in the factory Yamaha squad

next season. Couple of big shoes to fill

there for Masimo Rea and Co. You can see

the league group then out of the final

corner. Hoy Martine's about to start the

last lap. He's on the last lap. Well, it

was a sensational victory in yesterday's

sprint. Well, this will match it. This

might even top it because Horge Martin

on course for his first Grand Prix

victory since Indonesia in 2024. He

leaves the last lap nearly 8/10 of a

second clear of Marco Betski. And what

will this do psychologically to Marco

Betseki for to have led for 24 of the 27

laps in this French Grand Prix? As we

said early on, generally when Marcoi

leads the first lap, he's never caught

again. Moy Martin from two and a half

seconds back in seventh place has caught

and beaten him today.

>> What must this feel like for Hoy Martin?

It's the first time he's led a Moto GP

race in Spang in 2024.

All of the heartache, all of the pain,

all the suffering he went through last

season. A nightmare start to his factory

a career. But at the moment, he is

living the dream, enjoying life. This is

going to be so so sweet. He's going to

lead over home a historic podium here of

Prillus 1, two, and three in this French

Grand Prix. Michael Bi might be thankful

this is only a 27 lap race anymore and

might be snatching that second place

away from him.

>> J Antonio looks like he's going to run

out of time to pass Petra Aosta, but

what a feeling this must be. He's not

won a Grand Prix since winning the world

championship. Ho Martin, your time has

come again.

>> It really has. He has been undoubtedly

quite phenomenal in France here this

weekend after a brilliant sprint win

from the third row. J Martin wins the

French Grand Prix here. For the second

time in three seasons, he completes a

dream double. Winner of the sprint,

winner of the Grand Prix, his first

Grand Prix success since Mand Liga in

2024.

What a victory. What a statement for a

Prillia. And what a day. What a weekend

for the Noali factory. Prillia for the

first time in their history have a one

two three

lock at the podium

they can't quite believe it can they out

of what what an RSGP they have put

underneath Himari Marco Baseki and

cozeki then does take second place. He's

defeated very rarely of late, having led

so much of the Grand Prix. Crucially

though, he does hang on to lead in the

World Championship. I agree

Moto GP podium. 20 long years are

finally over for Japanese fans. Cracking

ride that by Agura. The giant Antonio

did get a Costa for fourth on the very

last lap.
