when I got a DM from a girl saying she had hooked up with Grant.

This is after a month of you guys deciding to be exclusive?

Alexa, tell me about you guys. Where did you meet?

He was my gym crush. I would stare at him from across the room.

I was bench pressing in front of her, a bit more than I normally would,

and I dropped the barbell straight onto my chest.

Two-hundred and seventy-five pounds.

-[Lino] I tore my rib cartilage. -Of course.

Went off in the ambulance, everything.

-Stretcher. -Took six weeks to come back.

The first day I got back, I introduced myself,

and I told her that I was distracted that day by her,

and that's why I dropped it on myself.

I love the meet-cute. It's about as good as it gets.

What do you hope to get out of this, Alexa?

So we're kinda hitting that point in our relationship

where it's almost, like, plateauing.

We've been together for three and a half years

and we've lived in three cities in three and a half years.

-He's come with me every single time. -Wow.

We pack up in my little Camry and our cat, and we go on the road.

My understanding is you're a labor and delivery nurse,

and you're a travel nurse.

Do you have career aspirations that this is in the way of a little bit?

Yeah, you know, uprooting your life every year or even less than a year

and moving to a whole new zip code, it's difficult.

You know, me interviewing, looking for new positions,

trying to further myself, um,

Alexa working hard on a daily basis.

It's a lot. It takes a toll.

Things just, you know, start to boil up, and we're going through a difficult patch,

fighting a lot, and looking for what's next.

Okay. I get that.

I know I'm ready to take the next step of engagement,

and I really wanna be married to Lino.

I've been married before.

-You have? -[Alexa] I was 21.

-And I was only married for a year. -[Mark] I see.

[Alexa] I was with that person since I was 15.

-It was your first love. Very young. -[Alexa] My first love.

And now I'm Lino's first love.

When it comes to marriages, not everybody wants marriage.

-Is that something you want, Lino? -It is something I want.

I do see a future with her, but obviously I'm nervous.

The beginning of our relationship was rocky.

Alexa said that we were exclusive.

She was "exclusive" with two guys at the time,

and I still have some of that resentment,

and I feel sometimes that I'm the second choice

whether it be from the previous marriage or in that situation.

He's not the second choice in my mind,

but I think he has trouble believing it in his heart.

We had a mutual friend at church

who said, you know, Shante was looking for some financial advice,

so I was like, "Great. That's my job."

Uh, somehow she ended up in my bedroom that night.

I'm good, you know, from the finance to the, you know…

He was just so easy to talk to. Just laughing, joking, so he made it easy.

-So what's the problem? -[introspective music plays]

Uh, I'm a little bit of a flirt.

Yeah, and I think I'm at the point now

where I wanna show her that I can stop being so flirtatious.

I think I'm just ready to take our relationship serious,

and that's why we're here, to test that.

At the beginning, were you not taking the relationship so seriously?

[Brion] There was a time at the beginning of our relationship

where I chose another woman over her.

-Um, and then-- -So you broke up this?

[Brion] Mm-hmm.

And then I realized the grass isn't greener on the other side.

Shante, were you thinking you may have met the one?

Yeah, my next relationship, I knew I wanted my person to be my best friend.

-[Mark] Yeah. -And I found that in him.

And then when he kinda took that step, I was like, "Oh."

You guys were able to get past that.

Um, what are the issues today?

Um, so, for me, it's kinda the final test.

Um, showing her that I'm ready to stop being the little…

I've had multiple women in my life before. I've had threesomes. I've done it all.

-I enjoy that side. I've lived a very-- -Slow your roll a second.

Multiple women in your life and apparently at the same time.

and I think that, at first, was a struggle for him

just because he is a really sexual person.

I have a lot of respect for a lot of the girlfriends that he has.

And I think this'll be a really big test to see

how are you really gaining those friendships.

What line and boundary are you setting for yourself?

You take your relationship and level up. What does that look like to you, Brion?

Moving in together. Saying, "Hey, Shante, I'm taking you serious."

I'm ready to build on this. I'm ready to do this together.

How does that feel hearing that, Shante?

-It feels great, yeah. -[Mark] That feels great?

Just knowing that he's, like, taking it seriously,

I just think it'll be a really exciting moment

to just really, like, take that step.

As you're sitting together, I could see you got emotional.

-Yeah. -Can you tell me what you're feeling?

I think it's more of an excitement, like, "Ooh, that really could happen,"

so it's kinda like a shock,

and that's a lot to take, you know, just a big step to take,

especially in this experience, just really putting that test forward is…

It's a little scary, but I'm hopeful for what's to come.

This is an inexact process,

and you're already doing so much better than I even anticipated.

I bartended in Downtown Nashville.

My best friend was friends with him at the time and his ex-wife now,

um, and they came in to visit me on a Saturday night.

First time you saw Tayler, she was behind the bar

and you were with your now ex-wife?

Correct. Yes.

How much time before you and Tayler started to date?

It took about four months after my separation

before we started getting physical,

and I was still married, uh, legally at the time.

Not a lot of grass grew between the two relationships.

-No. Yeah, zero grass. -Zero.

-It was dirt. [chuckles] -[Tayler laughing] Zero grass.

Sounds like you guys have undeniable chemistry.

-[Tyler] Yeah. -Fire is good.

But what brought you here?

So, once I got my master's, I bought my house.

He decided to walk away from his job and live an adventurous lifestyle.

At that time, I was living in a high-rise apartment,

and I had a sports car.

I had a nice medical sales job,

but now I have had job opportunities

where I have been able to make a lot of money with modeling,

and so I think makes her a little bit uncomfortable

that I'm getting these jobs,

these one-off jobs that are allowing me to push off

you know, "real work," I guess you could say, longer and longer,

but I feel like I'm finding myself in this new… this new season,

and it's just not giving her the comfort she's looking for.

I don't feel safe anymore. I don't feel secure anymore.

And he also has some infidelity in there as well.

Who wants to fill me in on that one?

So, um, about a month into us being exclusive

and officially dating, um,

we were arguing quite a bit.

I… I'd say I was a little bit more emotionally needy at the time,

just getting out of my life situation,

and someone approached me, and I've seen them before at the gym,

and we started to hit it off, um,

and, you know, I did end up falling into temptation

and ended up kissing her.

-How did it make you feel, Tayler? -[Tayler] Terrible.

I thought he was the one person in my life that would never do me wrong.

Every single relationship I've had previously has gone that way,

and I've seen that trait in them.

They're very flirtatious or, you know, I could just pick it up.

I've bartended for seven years. I can spot it out before it even happens.

So I felt like I'd never ever have to experience that with him

because that's how safe he made me feel.

And he made me feel like

I'm never gonna find anybody that'll do right by me

because I thought he was the one person.

What are you hoping happens here?

Right after my separation,

I got a lot of advice from my family and friends

to take some time for myself

but also to date

because they believed, obviously, that marriage was not right for me

and that person wasn't right for me.

We did get married young.

Um, I was 18, and she was 19 at the time.

But I really didn't realize I had a lot of stuff in the harbor,

a lot of grieving that I didn't go through

because I didn't have that grass, you know,

that time for the grass to grow. [chuckles]

So, um, I'm here to figure out a little bit of myself

but also to get the privilege to date,

and I'm lucky to have this experience

for her to loosen the reins and let me adventure a little bit.

I realize the toll it's taking on her and, you know, do I need to stand up and say,

"Okay, you know, for the betterment of… of both of us,

do we need to walk away or keep fighting?"

I think you've got a lot to work on, and it's… and you're on the right track,

and I appreciate you sharing it.

I always ask the question about rules. I'm gonna ask you guys the same thing.

But… Did you make some boundaries and rules here, you guys?
