If you two are on guard, you're doing the wrong way.

He'll shoot you in the back.

We were just watching.

There will be a lot to do tomorrow watching and doing, Runa. Now sleep.

Shall we see Uncle Skuld tomorrow? - In a few days.

Tell me about his camp.

It's much bigger than this one.

It's more than a camp.

It's more like a city.

Uncle must be known here.

Our name is known.

I left my uncle here to remember.

Until I come.

Maybe you carry my name,

but you have to make money to become Jarl.

Do you think you're capable of it? - I can fight. - And I.

Runa. You can not not even a sword to hold.

Anyone can learn, young man.

Being a good fighter does not make you a good leader.

I'll show you.

I'll be the Jarl of all countries here.

Then I'll be Jarl somewhere else.

Maybe you will. Runa!

People here are soft. The land is fertile.

It is ripe for occupation.

Everything is possible here.

How do we find this city?

Well ...

What happened?

Vitara! Runa! Run! - Quick, take the kids!

Run! Run!

Shit!

Take Runa aboard!

I can help ... - Do as he says! - Get off Vitara!

Watch her! - But I can fight! Mother! - Go!

There's Daddy!

Odina Alfater, watch me.

Give me courage and safe passage.

Give me your son Tor's strength.

Live another day.

Drinks?

What do you want us to do?

I want to find a guy. And kill him.

We all feel sorry for your son, but he died honorably.

He was honored to have him stone-skull smashed?

It's far from us.

He was lost, and wounded.

They'll see we're coming. Can't you see the reason?

I can't let him escape. Do you understand that ?!

He is not part of the plan. He's just a boy.

And my son was just a boy!

If you want to follow this idiot, go ahead!

I need four men yes I catch a pagan who killed my son.

Runa! Runa! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!

It's too late. Vitara!

You have been entrusted with her life. And you let her down.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Find your uncle. Find Skuld.

Kill the man who did this. Revenge us!

Come on!

Come on!

Come on!

What have you done?

What have you done?

I asked you to keep an eye on her. You let me down!

You're a failure!

Failure!

Wyman!

Watch where you tread.

What is this? - Although.

He's looking for something.

Burn everything. Watch out for the pitfalls.

What about him?

It will not survive.

Release him from the torment.

Wait ... Wyman ...

Please...

Wait!

This is a holy place. Weapons are not allowed here.

If you want my advice ...

We're looking for a boy. Norwegian. He passed this way?

Why are you looking for him?

Did he pass this way?

It is. It's inside.

Are you late!

He died tonight. He was bleeding.

Please.

This is a holy land.

Why is He a mockery to me?

He took my wife first. And then a son.

And He is not allowing me revenge now.

I'm sorry for your loss, but it is not up to us to take holiness.

You have to leave it to our Lord.

These Norwegians, they don't believe in those things.

Why would I?

They are pagans. They believe in lies and heresy.

Have you met many of them?

Who are we to say to be wrong?

I raised my son yes believes in your Christ,

and his head is shattered.

You doubt it now, but he's in a better place.

He rotting there in the sandstone. - I'll pray for him.

Don't bother, priest.

They are said to be Nordic gods believed revenge was the right thing to do.

I wonder

to have faith in them, do would you listen to me?

Burn your body. It's their custom.

Thank you.

Parsnip.

Panas.

Panas.

Cabbage.

Cabbage?

Cabbage.

Cabbage. Cabbage.

Fire.

The fire. - Fire

Fire.

Bowl.

Find your uncle. Kill the one who did this.

Revenge us! - Mother!

They're dead.

I'm looking for a city.

My uncle lives in it.

But I can't find it.

City? - Yes, the city.

How far is it?

How far is it?

Where did you find this? Where's my uncle ?!

Don't move!

Where did you get this?

Do you know Skuld? Where is he? Where can I find it?

Shop.

No. No. Skuld. Skuld is my uncle. Where is he?

Skuld is my uncle, it's me his nephew. Where is he?

I'm Vitar.

Vitar. - Vitar?

Yes.

Nara.

Thank you. Nara.

Nara. Nara.Wait.

I have to find my uncle.

I'm not even sure to whom I am addressing,

nor who is God real at all.

But if it's mine family with you, guard them.

And give me strength yes I avenge their death.

Vitar!

We don't have to do this.

Are you a Danish?

What will he do with us?

Are you from Denmark?

From Hedebi. And you? - I'm from Ribe.

Pisces ... I was there.

Really? - Many years ago.

My father was Asbjorn Thorson. Master of Ribe.

He is a great man.

He was.

He was killed as soon as we got here.

I'm sorry.

His arrival in Valhalla will be filled with celebration.

If Asbjorn Thorson was your father then i know your uncle too.

Skulda? - He is the master of a large settlement.

Some call him king. - The King?

How did you find this place?

If we get out of here, I'll take you to him.

What do they want with us?

Fighting.

Fight or death.

Since when have you been here? - I don't remember anymore.

Then it has to be you are fighting well.

And you?

I saw my part. - You'll see more.

Will we have to to fight each other?

Probably.

I'm Herja.

Vitar.

If this is my last night

then it is an honor to spend it with the king's nephew, the son of Asbjorn.

So this is it.

Any advice?

He grunts.

Keeps distance and aim his leg.

Show a good show until they load their weapons.

Weapon?

They'll throw him in when the principal says.

He'll go after the ax.

It's heavy so it's going to be slow.

I went for the spear.

I'm going to get a spear.

Good luck.

You were right.

I needed to get a spear.

He has an injured leg, but good momentum.

Thank you.

You're welcome.

We knew this day was coming.

Any advice?

You have no chance.

Your opponent has much better skills.

Really? I know his every trick.

You only know what he does wants you to know.

Not to be attached to this rock, where would you be?

I would find my uncle.

He would help you too to avenge your family?

And then he would your pain gone?

Maybe.

Look around.

Killing does not no better.

Killing only incites madness.

I can't remember nothing else.

What did you want before did that man kill your family?

What are your dreams? What did you want for the future?

I wanted to conquer the world.

To prove to the Gods that I am worthy of being on their side.

Now I don't know what I want

Why?

Vitara?

There was a time when I did i was in the woods ...

... where I didn't for the first time felt a burden on his shoulders

I was thinking about everything except the moment I'm in.

It used to be dangerous and lonely. But ...

... It made sense.

I felt I belonged.

But humanity is full of hate.

Scared and confused.

Quarrels with the Gods who they will never answer their prayers.

Not everyone is like that.

Where would you be, Herja?

With my husband, and a little girl.

You didn't mention having a family.

I didn't want to remind you to all that you have lost.

How old is your little girl?

She must be 5 by now.

The most beautiful girl you've ever seen.

Then there's a reason why I'm not giving up.

Why this place it hasn’t killed yet.

Hold on to that.

It is better to fight for the living than for the dead.

See you at the other side, mate.

What are you waiting?

If you don't start, it will kill us both.

Come on. Hit me!

I told you yes you go for the spear.

Vitara!

What are you doing?

Take the horse and return to family.

Go away!

Wake up, Vitara

Runa?

I'm sorry I let you down.

Don't worry, I forgive you.

When you're ready, we will be there for you.

Vitara.

Uncle?

Are you okay?

By God's will, you are still alive!

I do not understand you.

Help my nephew. He is very weak.

Get him some water!

You're back!

Right on time, it seems.

Thank you, Herja.

It's the least I could do.

For the king's nephew.

I hardly recognize you, Vitara.

You totally lost weight! - It's been a long time, Uncle.

You were 13 when i saw you last time.

You played with a wooden sword, and dreamed of adventure.

You're human now, with a steel sword,

and a story to tell.

You look good, Uncle.

All these people ...

Are they following you?

They are not just our people.

They come from different parts.

Do they call you King?

Some.

I was hoping that yours would my father and I could be together.

We were hooked as soon as we came.

Mother, father ...

Runa ... - I know.

You know?

I trade with many clans.

I heard about it very quickly.

If I knew you were still alive

I would not stop looking for you. Know it.

We're here now.

We are.

We got a second chance.

We can rule together.

We can build an empire o that you could only dream of.

And the man who killed him?

I know his name.

Tell me.

They call him Wyman.

You know him?

When you do what am i ...

trading, communicating. Try it to do something better,

you create allies and enemies.

Wyman is a dangerous man, war commander.

He believes that peace can be gain only by violence.

He was choking me a lot.

Why did he want to kill his father?

Maybe an accident. - I don't believe that.

Maybe he was afraid of him.

Your father was a fighter.

A threat to someone who is in his position.

As I.

I was told Wyman it's not far from here.

We will stay here until you are not recovering.

Then we'll find him.

We will have our revenge.

Now rest.

You remind me of him.

Get people ready, go to the tent. - Master.

Why are you holding that boy in his life?

You have been wanting recently him and his family dead.

He killed my son with a stone.

He humbled me before my people.

He mocked me, refused my revenge.

And all that

because you failed to perform the task given to you.

Then give me a second chance and for free I'll kill him.

Right away.

Why don't you kill him?

Because he is a son of my brother.

Your brother was a war helicopter, you said it yourself.

Why do you think his son won't go after you for your part?

I believe he is God spared for a reason.

To give me a chance to I atone for sins.

You just adopted this God.

I'll tell you something about him, he doesn't care what we do.

He doesn't love us.

God may be you left, Wyman

and your son.

But I feel Him everywhere around me, He guides me.

He talks to me.

Tells me when to build,

and when to destroy.

I didn't follow you this far

because of someone the supreme right to rule.

I followed you because you did proved as a leader of the people.

If you spare it, think of everyone you will sacrifice.

I already did.

See the reason.

Our partnership offers you much more than he will ever be able to.

Let me avenge my son

then we can get going to the next task.

I'm sorry.

Your blade is maybe pure,

but the blood is on with your hands.

Wait! Wait! Wyman!

Don't ask me for forgiveness.

Pray to your God.

Come on, boy!

Come and join to your uncle in hell!

Wyman!

Wyman!

You're not dead this time?

So you speak our language.

Thank your uncle for that. He taught me.

Do you know it is betrayed your father?

He was a smart man.

He had a good plan.

My father would just stand on his path to becoming king.

A lot of things in common we have, don't we?

But not everything.

Still.

I told you yes you watch her!

What did you do?

What did you do?

It's too late. Vitara.

You failed her.

You let me down!

You're a failure!

The failure!

Vitara!

Stay.

Go home, my friend.
