Well, I'd been trying to ride
that horse for more than a week...

Lonny slipped and fell.

And I looked down and I saw
his arm lyin' all stretched out.

I wasn't even thinkin'.
I jumped on it.

I broke his arm.

He cried. I cried.

I was so scared that he wasn't ever
gonna be able to use that arm again.

That's all I had on my mind
for weeks.

Well, the doctor took off
the splint.

Said that the arm
was good as new.

Until today, that's, uh,

the most violent thing
I ever did.

be anything left to sell.

- Pa chased him off with his shotgun.

Things kept happenin'.
Kept gettin' worse and worse.

didn't have any choice.
