hope to make that distinction?

I don't know. I thought we were
helping her and J.B. to better themselves.

Now, all of a sudden, that phrase
becomes very inappropriate, even offensive.

But she may be right.

Maybe I was making her
decisions, planning her life all along,

without meaning to,
without even being aware of it.
