Original subtitles

All right, out with it.

I know you didn't call me in here on a freezing day just to beat your workout,

bud.

I want the job.

Rems 1, team leader.

Eleanor's been holding it down since Jamal injured out.

Temporarily. She doesn't want it full time.

You don't think it should be me?

You're the one who pushed me. I know, I pushed you into Rems in the first place,

but upping you to Rems 1? Come on, Bodhi.

You've been on an engine crew for, what, a little over a year now?

Sacramento's not going to want someone so green to head this thing up.

Plus, you know, they only see what's on paper, right?

42, the Edwater training program.

The time you did, man. Three rock.

Three rock.

Yeah. Is this about me being green or that I've been an orange?

Honestly, probably both.

I can't change my record.

I was made for this.

Rems is doing whatever we can for whatever we got.

I mean, I said to the team. I know that. Yes, you are.

But come on, Rems leader?

Out in the field with no eyes on you?

The brass is never going to trust you enough to just hand this thing over to

you. Can't you do something?

It's not about arguing for you, man. It doesn't matter what I say. It's about

them getting to know you.

That takes time.

Ow, she's cute.

Is that your girlfriend?

Is that any of your business?

And who's that kid?

Oh, you, Mom.

Nope. Not what I had my hands for with you guys.

Yeah, you cheated. No, no.

Give me my money back. I didn't cheat. You cheated. No, I didn't. Two aces on a

river. Why'd you go all in? What are you, stupid?

So y 'all gambling?

What's that? Give it to me.

Contraband.

Right. I'm writing you both up. Cap, please don't do that. It's Gunner's

Not cool, dude. Gunner?

I'm bored, Cap.

I haven't caught a fire in weeks. Okay, well, y 'all are supposed to be using

all of this time for developmental work.

Like, Gunner, did you apply to the level three electrician course you're

supposed to? Uh, no, not yet.

He's afraid he's gonna blow himself up. Well, since you like throwing stuff, let

me throw something at you.

GED study guide.

Tech, did you apply to the course?

What are you laughing at?

Gave up.

Don't want to flunk out of high school a second time. At least I don't flunk out

of every fitness drill, you weak ass. Spell fitness drill, dumbass.

Enough.

We're going to go on a work hike.

Mount Silas.

Need help clearing the trails out there.

One, two, three. We're going to do a full gear up.

Let's get out of here. It's freezing out there, Kat. Okay, well, don't worry,

baby, because we will keep a pace that will keep you warm. I promise.

Get up.

While I'm still young.

Hey, I have Manny's Americano, Sharon's drip. I have Jake's caramel

latte. You forgot the whipped cream?

I'm so sorry that I messed up Jake's little whipped cream on his little

order. Did he want sprinkles, too? Does he know they had to brave the cold?

My cheeks are still numb.

I meant thank you.

Thank you? Yeah. That's better. Thank you. This is for you.

I'll take this instead.

Here.

Oh, and I need to give this back to you.

No, keep it.

Bodie, I'm still going to be at your place.

Like a lot, especially because the heater in my new apartment is hot.

Well, I've got perfectly good heat at my place. You don't need to move out.

I do, I do. I need normal again. I need to have my own place and my old job.

It's important.

I'm going to miss you.

Good. You're supposed to miss me.

Like we get to enjoy the early fun stages of being a couple.

Good.

You know, you can give this back to me when it feels right, okay?

How'd it go with Luke?

What? He said no?

Why? He knows how talented you are. I mean, he's seen it.

Yeah, Sacramento hasn't.

All they see are the darker parts of my record.

I'm not sure if they'll trust me as Rem's leader unless they can see what I

really do, and that takes time.

So let them see you.

How many hours of Alone have we watched?

Just go get a GoPro or something.

I like it.

Body cam might be better.

Look at us, teamwork.

If they see the Bodhi that I see, then they'll be all in on you too.

Close your eyes.

Picture our home.

A place where we can grow our family.

And our careers.

Now open your eyes.

Violet, I love this life with you.

Will you marry me?

Oh yeah.

I say yes to that. Right?

That's also from Hot Air Balloon.

Flying over 42, where we first met, where we had our first date, where I met

Malcolm, which she pushed me to do. Maybe a little more.

But more than a hot air balloon?

Talk about right here, man.

Add some grit. All right. Actually,

is that really what women want these days?

You know, big old grand jesters, hot air balloons.

So, for media content?

Well, I mean, I hope so.

A date sets the tone for the relationship, right?

All right. Well, proposal, well, that sets the tone for marriage.

And, baby, I want to go big, Papa.

Damn.

Now you got me rethinking taking Camilda Smoky tonight for our date.

I got it.

Tool it.

I mean, it's not a hot air balloon, but I'll bring some tulips. Those are cool,

right?

Uh, it's, uh, gesture.

Okay, uh, all right. Look, double up on gloves 42. It's gonna be a cold one.

Wow,

that high school degree.

Sure is coming in handy, isn't it?

It's called a diploma, dumbass.

If he's a dumbass, then you're a cheater. We were playing poker.

It's a skill.

You cleaned the house four hands in a row. Yeah. And you took everything I

That's cheating.

Hey, I wrote you guys up for gambling.

And now you're out here talking about it. Clear the trail.

All right? The winds just did a 180. The temps have dropped.

10 degrees in 30 minutes.

Okay, so watch out 15.

It's when the winds increase and or change direction.

We're getting hit by a sudden frontal passage.

What's that?

It's a cold snap, which means that we need to get out of here before these

conditions change.

Okay, let's move.

Yes!

I'm freezing my nuts.

Hey, why don't you tuck those little baby nuts up into your nice warm purse?

What did you just say?

Let's go, high school diploma.

You got it right this time.

All right, let's drain and winterize the pumps.

Hey, man, now I got you all in my head.

I think flowers and smokies, that's a little too casual. Hey, Tenepin's on me.

Listen, you splurge on the seafood tower and you split the porterhouse.

And with the butter cake.

Hey. Hey, you're taking Camille to Tenepin's? You must like her.

I gotta try and make a reservation.

Yup, yup.

So, I have an idea.

And it might just be the cold making me crazy, but are you ready for crazy?

Lay it on me. Okay.

I found a loophole to my job's conflict of interest policy.

We get married.

And then we can both keep our jobs and stay together. I mean, I don't know why

didn't think of it earlier.

Did you just ask me to marry you?

Well, no.

Yes. I guess I did.

Getting married.

It's not like married married.

It's just a piece of paper.

You fill out a form with the county clerk and it's really easy.

It's like renewing your driver's license.

I'm sorry, but I mean, did you just compare getting married to taking a

trip to the DMV?

It's not really getting married, Jake. But it is. Filing taxes together,

finances, life choices.

Okay, but don't you want those things? Because we're about to move in together.

Yes, I want those things and more. Then why are we fighting? Because I didn't

want it like this.

I was just trying to solve this for us, baby.

Hey, gather up, 42.

Nice to see you.

So the county just issued an emergency alert for severe cold snaps.

Ice accumulation on power lines caused a widespread outage in East Edgewater.

That means that our residents are dealing with this cold with no

Chief. And the last time we had temperatures this low, do you remember

just had nonstop house calls?

So I'm thinking this time, why don't we just open up the station for a warming

center? We can do COTS. and a charging terminal, hot food. Yeah, yeah, yeah,

it's great. I love it. Okay, let's get to it. All right, you heard her. Let's

it.

It's colder than cold out here, Kat.

Keep up, Z.

Well, I don't want to have to carry your ass down this trail.

Tex, enough.

He's holding us back, Kat.

Zane! Hey, you alright?

I'm not holding anyone back.

Hold back, Ron!

Everybody stop! Stop!

What the hell is this?

Ross? Like a landslide, but with ice underneath it.

Everybody, go uphill.

Okay.

Stay still.

I'm fine, Kat. Scrapes and bruises.

You hit your head hard.

I'm doing all right.

Gunner!

I'm hurting, Kat.

I landed in the creek.

Guys, get that jacket off of him.

Copy. Hypothermia needs temps with this moisture. It's very serious.

Kill me.

Kill me.

I'm coming.

He fell on your back. Try not to move, okay?

Stay nice and still.

My chest. I can't breathe.

You might have broken some ribs and punctured your lungs.

Okay, green crest.

Three rocks. Crew one.

Mount Silas.

The five of us fell into the ravine on the east side of the four -mile marker.

Multiple traumas.

Kathy, turn to blue.

Okay, we'll just keep them as dry as you can with anything we got, all right?

Requesting evac immediately.

I got you.

We got a multi -patient evac on Mount Silas. I got

more intel if you're ready to roll.

I'm ready to lead.

Bodie. You said Sacramento can't trust me. Yeah.

So put eyes on me.

Body cams?

Make me Rams 1 today.

Let me show Sacramento who I am, not who I was.

Show them what I can do.

Bodie, it's Eve and Three Rock out there. They fell 30 feet.

Are you sure this is the one you want on record?

Even more so now.

All right, then.

Show them what you got, kid.

Technical rescue involving a fire camp crew.

I connected with Captain Edwards.

Our first extrication is going to be the CO.

What's your condition?

He's red priority one, barely responsive.

Get him on a vacuum spine board?

Yep.

We'll stabilize them, strap them in, reel them up, then we'll identify the

extrication until we get everybody out of there.

Copy you. Rems one.

Body cams?

We on probation?

I am.

So make me look good.

We're already maxed out, and we're about to run out of blankets.

Call Gil ASAP. Copy, Chief.

Chief.

Hi. I guess you're the one I thank for setting up this warming center, so

thanks.

And is there somewhere I can charge my mom's oxygen concentrator?

Yeah, come with me. Thanks.

You're popular.

Oh, it's not a good thing. It just means that a lot of people are struggling.

Well, I'm getting help because of you.

It's right here.

Great, thanks. And how long can we use the power?

Oh, as long as you want. Don't worry about it. You're the taxpayer. You pay

electric bill.

Well, thanks again.

And what was your name?

Chief Leone. Sharon.

Sure. Well, that has a nice ring to it.

I'm Craig.

Okay. Thanks. Thank you.

That guy wanted more than a power outlet.

He was totally hitting on you.

He's not hitting on me. I wear a wedding ring.

Yeah, well, some people find that irresistible.

Not good people.

I didn't say good people.

I'm watching you.

We have hot food over here. There's a power supply right over here. And

just one blanket per family, all right?

Hey, Camille, what a pleasant surprise.

But, uh... You're working.

Yeah. Yeah, dinner's off the table.

But I just, I finished a brutal shift at the hospital, and we had a supply

overflow. Thought you guys could maybe use some of this stuff. There's non

-rebreather masks.

Got hand warmers, blankets.

Like you read my mind.

Well, it's selfish, really, right?

Better to deal with the issues here before they make it to the hospital. To

hospital. Yeah.

Let it become my problem before it'll become your problem.

Exactly.

Hey, listen, are you sure you're not upset about dinner being off?

No, there's a cold snap.

Who would be upset about that?

I don't know, you know.

Only every woman I ever dated.

Well, you know what? Same.

Same. Every man I've ever dated.

But hey look at us now a couple first responders just on the same page I'm

go get these two people. All right. Okay. Oh, hey, hold on Brew cup says we

couldn't have dinner for dinner

Locker 105, ramp 1 on the ground.

Hey, Bodie.

He impacted his spine.

Might have broken some ribs.

And no loss of motor control.

Shortness of breath for how long? 30 minutes.

I think. I'm not sure. I hit my head on the wall. Bodie, coming up.

Eleanor. Captain Edwards needs a neuro check.

No, Bodie. Wait on me.

Check on Gunner. He's wet and hypothermic.

Yeah, go ahead.

Power blankets keep you warm in no time.

Bring over the basket.

Heck, Zane, hands. We're about to get our blankets first, Captain.

The captain just gave you an order.

Hands, now.

I swear these guys haven't looked at me in all day.

Here we go. Go. All right. Three, two, one, lift.

All right, we'll leave back the rest in order of medical need.

Gunner first.

Oh, hallelujah.

Eve, then you two.

Ramp one, I'm clipped in, ready to race.

Copy that.

Copter 1 -0 -5.

Leave for the basket or online. Can we hoist?

Copy, Rem Swan. It's hoisting.

Be advised, we've got ice filled up on the speed edge of the rotors. We can't

sit in the air much longer.

If those rotors fail, that helicopter's coming down.

The doctor's already unstable.

What? They can't leave us here.

Rem Swan, how should we proceed? Can't they send us another chopper? No, not in

this weather.

You're called, Leonie.

Not worth a rip.

We've got to toughen up.

Delta 1 -0 -5, return to base.

Delta 1, return to base.

Copy that.

Now what, Booty?

Chief Leone?

Rems 1, what's the ETA on it being safe enough for aircraft to spin up again?

I'd love to give it to you, Rems 1, but a no -fly order has just gone into

effect. I'm looking at the forecast now. It could be hours. It could be days.

Do a risk assessment.

Decide if you want to wait it out or if you're going to try to hike out. The

choice is yours.

I'm guessing it's bad news.

All helos are now grounded until this weather passes.

Isn't it good it stayed?

Like two extra minutes, at least for Gunner.

If it was Cal Fire that was stuck out here, they'd sure as hell find a way

Hey, Three Rock is a part of Cal Fire.

Right? Bodhi used to be one of you guys. He knows better than anyone here. Seems

like he forgot where he came from.

I promise you, I haven't. Then why'd you let that copter leave? If I didn't, it

would've crashed, taken everyone's side along with it.

If I waited to debate it, same outcome.

We could start hiking down, put gun on his dead.

Too far.

This temperature in that distance doesn't end well.

What's the call, Pod?

Take what nature's given us.

Shelter in place right here by the tree. Ride it out.

You want to stay here?

Are you for real? Come on, man. It's getting dark. If that's the move, let me

look into your body cam and say goodbye to my loved ones.

Listen, our options are limited and risky. I picked the safest one.

There's a million things out here that can kill us.

This isn't a Q &A.

I'm giving an order.

We got to move fast. Rocco, stay here with Gunner.

Zane, Tex, go find some rocks and some kindling.

Eve, Eleanor, check the packs for anything we can use. Go.

I gotta say, I'm glad I'm not Rem's one with this peanut gallery.

Ooh, crack.

You scared me. Sorry.

Not my desired effect.

There's a spill.

It's a safety hazard.

I'm happy to take care of it if you could just...

Point me towards your paper towels.

Oh, yeah. They should be right here.

One ply.

You all deserve better than that.

Oh, what we deserve and what we get here are two totally different things.

Oh, look. Here they are. Here, let me.

Anything else?

Well, if I still smoked a cigarette.

No, I need a break from my mom.

Can't listen to a recap or latest church drama again.

I'm a terrible son.

Oh, no, please. I blew off my mother for like the last ten years. I just don't

smoke because, you know, my lungs take a beating here as it is.

Oh, my God.

Come on, Zane.

It looks like you've made no progress at all, man. What is this?

Thanks for your help, buddy.

Yeah, too heavy for your noodle arm?

Your noodle brain just dropped those logs on my foot!

Hey! It's already dark. Gunner needs warmth.

Stop fighting, get to work.

Cap, you alright?

Okay, that's enough work for you.

Eleanor? Yeah, I got her.

London.

Graveyard.

Turtle. Baby.

Repeat that back to me.

London Graveyard Turtle.

Look, I really need to go check on my guys. Hey.

Look, I'm not going to exert myself. I'm just going to sideline coach and I'll

just make sure that they're not acting up.

It's okay.

Buddy is all over it.

Yeah,

that's a gnarly knot.

You still never finished that lift.

I'd rather not.

You know I need you to keep talking to me to make sure your concussion's not

getting worse.

Look, it's fine.

I just don't like talking about babies, that's all.

My ex moved on with one.

Is that the concussion talking?

No. No, it's just I don't... It's a lot to explain.

I got time.

Listening to you right now is my job.

Well, that sucks, right?

Give me errands. Make the story good.

Yeah. Hey, Isaiah.

Ruth, how you guys doing?

Make it you lost power, too, huh?

Sure did.

I was out running errands when Ruth called. Our poor little space heater

cutting it, so we thought it best to pop in here. Well, you came to the right

place. Yeah.

It's so cold.

What's the errand?

Did you finish the errands, Isaiah?

Oh, we still need to get birdseed honeypot. When the roads are safe.

Hey, Ruthie.

Is she okay?

Yeah, more than.

My girl ran the Eel River 5K like two days ago.

My shoes.

That's his door.

Honeypot, are you okay?

You said space heater, right?

I thought you guys lost power, too.

Well, it's a small space heater, kerosene.

Hey, Ruth, you want to talk to me about that 5K you ran?

You know, I heard you were top of your age bracket.

What's wrong here?

Carbon monoxide poison.

Hypo -02 in a non -rebreather. Yep, yep, I'm on it.

Greencrest Battalion, 1508. Station 42, we need an ambulance here. Emerge.

Copy that, 1508.

There we go.

Left every life.

You're basically sitting on my foot.

I can't feel anything.

Hey, I'm not going to tell you again.

Move or I'll clean your clock.

Hey, guys, knock it off.

You knuckle -dragging moron.

Can't understand the concept of body warmth?

Closer is better.

Call me stupid again.

I dare you! Get off!

What are you guys doing?

Stop acting all high and mighty.

You let that chopper abandon us.

Hey, sit down.

No. You chose to kill Bane over us. You know why?

Because you guys, you're all like the rest of the world now, thinking, yeah,

they're expendable. Well, we're not. We're not expendable. Hey, Zane, we're

with you. We're working together. That's what we're doing.

Try my hand somewhere else.

Zane, wait!

Come back!

Hey! Zane! Stop!

Zane! Zane! Stop!

Zane! Zane! Stop! Stop! Hey!

What the hell are you doing, man?

I can't be on this mountain anymore.

Where are you going?

Being away from Tex.

Telling me I suck?

I won't hold a team back?

He's wrong about that.

Hey, look, I don't want to freak everybody out earlier, but hiking out

this temperature is a death wish.

Talk about it.

I'm dead already.

Got me on camera going AWOL.

I turned it off.

Didn't want anybody seeing something they shouldn't. You turned your body cam

off? Can't you get in trouble?

I'm a chief or something.

Yeah, sure.

I know how these kinds of things can be used against you.

You know, people only get to see a little glimpse of the story, not the

story.

Look.

I told you.

I'll never forget where I came from.

I'm walking back.

You coming?

Okay, her vitals are good.

No, no, no, my love. Leave that on.

You rest.

I'm here.

It's a good thing she's waking up.

We haven't spent a night apart since I got back from Vietnam.

Wow. You guys have been together for a long time.

I got drafted, so we got married.

Spent my honeymoon at boot camp.

Hey, do you mind if I ask?

How did you propose?

Wasn't much.

Before I shipped out, I was losing hope.

The day before I left, I got my head out of my ass and realized I want to stay

alive for her.

So I asked her, nothing fancy.

I said, I love you.

Pretty simple.

Yeah.

Hey,

hey. You're sleeping, remember?

Plus, you're just getting to the good part.

Francine wanted a kid. You didn't.

Yes, and then I ended up getting 20 of them.

Firefighters. Doofuses.

I mean, not always. It's just, my God, they were working my last damn nerve. To

the point where you're jealous of a baby.

Yeah, and I don't want to be jealous of a baby.

So what do you want?

To be happy for Francine.

But I don't know how.

High school.

My friend Angie, our friend, she beat me up by, like, half a letter grade for

valedictorian. Oh, I was pissed.

And jealous, but it just, it felt gross having those feelings about my friend.

So what'd you do?

Complimented her graduation speech, helped her do her hair for the ceremony.

Okay, so you were happy for her. No, no, no, no, no, it was fake.

At first, but eventually it felt real.

Well, then it worked.

A little too well.

We ended up making out at the 4th of July bonfire that summer.

Be happy for her.

However you can.

Even if it hurts at first.

It won't forever.

Zane, get up.

Even after that idiot move, he gets chili and beans.

Shut up. Because y 'all need to put your beef to the side because we're in a

shelter on the side of a damn mountain. Beef started before the mountain kept.

Well, it ends here.

Right now.

You two need to stop putting each other down.

Trust me, the rest of the world's going to do that for you.

You want to be seen as firefighters?

Be a team.

Let's go. Let's air this out right now.

Come on, what's the issue?

You called me stupid.

And I'm not stupid.

Maybe he thinks a little bit faster than I do, but...

I shouldn't have called you that.

It's not true.

I'm sorry.

All right, y 'all.

So we're good?

We're done with all this?

Yeah.

Yeah.

Sorry, Cap.

We didn't mean nothing by it.

He must have some internal bleeding from the fall. I wasn't presenting because

he was hypothermic. Can you help him? No, not out here. Gunner needs surgery.

Our minor patient is now upgraded to red priority one, requesting an immediate

evac.

Negative. Conditions are still too dangerous.

Gunner has internal bleeding. He needs a hospital.

Uncle Luke, please.

Whatever it takes, we need out of here.

Okay, there is a window where winds will abate, but it's not enough for a ropes

rescue. Hang on.

All right, I'm seeing a clearing about a mile and a half due east of your

position. It's high risk, but if you can get there quick, I could send in a

helicopter for a landing.

A mile and a half.

Gunner, he's not going to survive that.

We need a closer LV.

Well, then you better find me one, Bodie, because I'm not seeing it.

Copy. I'll get back to you.

Tex, Zane, grab your pack. Come with me. Honor, are you in Rocco or are you

going to stay here and keep Gunner warm? Copy.

What are we looking for?

A clearing.

How big are we talking?

Ideally about 200 by 200 feet.

All these trees might have an opinion about that.

We only need dispatching that copter. ETA is 20 minutes. We're going to need

coordinates for that landing zone. Copy on the copter.

Use our current GPS coordinates for the LV.

I don't see it clearing.

You're right.

We've got to have time to find the landing zone.

So what are we going to do, boss?

We do what three hawkers do as a team.

Fire up your saws.

We need a landing zone, we make one.

All right, we're almost there.

Get this chopper dinner plate to land on.

Hey, your saw, your saw barked. Click the choke one clip up.

Good.

Get all the stunts down as low as you can. Let's go.

Rems 1, Chief Leone, copter is on station.

Confirm landing zone is large enough.

Copy. LZ is roughly 90 by 90. That is a card table of a landing zone, Rems 1.

Best we got.

We need out of here.

Rems 1, copter 105.

Right in, of course. We'll see.

Gus, come on.

1 -0 -5, how's the view from up there?

Red 1, top to 1 -0 -5.

LZ's just big enough.

We'll thread that needle and bring it home.

Yeah!

Hey. Bodhi's on his way back. He did it. First runs one call under his belt.

Yes! That's right.

Yes! Oh!

Um, that guy's not waiting for me.

What guy?

Guy. Oh!

Yeah.

Hi.

I, uh...

Really enjoyed our conversation.

And I had a proposition.

I can't.

You're going to be the most perfect person for someone. You are so nice to

mom and other people and paper towels.

I'm not that person. I'm so sorry.

My proposition was that I undercut your vendor for paper goods in offices.

I'm a sales rep.

Oh.

I'm going to... Go ahead and move.

Thanks, Craig.

Oh, my God.

Oh, my God.

He wasn't trying to get with you. No, no.

He was trying to get my business. Why do I ever listen to you? You know what?

It's great because I didn't just say no because it was out of the question. I

said no because he wasn't my type. Well, look at you, Cher. It's a big step.

Hey, do we have batteries?

Double A's and a lot of them.

Do we have any?

I... Pay up, Zane. It's not it. It's it. Pay up, Zane.

Hey, hey.

What'd I say about gambling?

It's not gambling, Kat. It's candy.

I'm teaching him how to study.

Turns out our boy's motivated by sugar.

Okay.

How you doing? How's Gunner?

I'm on the mend, and Gunner, he just got out of surgery. He had a simple spleen

-neck artery repair, so he'll be back in a couple weeks.

And the spleen is the organ that filters blood.

Come on. I don't need money. Ah!

That's fine, that's fine, that's fine, that's fine. All right, all right. All

right, well, once y 'all get out of this whole biology thing, hit me up about

history. History? Okay, we got you.

History? Okay, okay, okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

All right, who's next? Who's next? All right, talk to me. Kinetic energy?

The energy of movement. Boom. Let me go. Bow.

Wow! I got one!

Perception, man, it is a hell of a thing.

Looking at that little piece of rock and steel, you might not expect too much

out of it, huh?

Kids with love.

That is the whole job.

Yeah, but it's not the whole picture.

You think it'll overshadow my record?

Well, maybe this is a real world.

The work out there today, it speaks for itself.

Technical rescue involving a fire camp crew.

We've got the networks. These are neurocheck. We'll leave back the rest in

of medical need.

Welcome to the spotlight, Booty Coyote.

The face of Ramsey.

Oh, but there's one thing you're going to have to explain shutting off your

cameras.

I didn't want Zane to come off the wrong way.

Perceptions and all.

Right.

Or maybe you accidentally bumped into the off switch on the camera.

It's a simple mistake.

There's no perception issue there, huh?

We'll see you around.

Jake, we got your message.

Power's still out.

What's happening?

Hi.

I'm Jake.

And I'm an idiot.

Yesterday you asked if...

I wanted to marry you on paper.

I don't.

I heard that.

Loud and clear.

I want to marry you.

I want to be your husband.

But in all aspects of the word. Not just on paper.

So I'm asking you.

Violet Mitchell.

Right here.

In the same spot God brought you into my life.

Marry me.

You're not an idiot.

I love you.

Yes.

Thanks for helping me get Rem's ball.

I didn't do anything.

I just saved where you are.

I'm wiped.

Oh, you're too tired for oysters.

I'm down for some oysters.

Yeah? I'm down for tenopins. Yeah?

I thought you hated oysters.

Um, you are... This is Roberta,

my ex.

Ex -wife.

mother of a child.

And who are you?
