Miss.

Take it away.

What's going on?

You may leave.

Yes.

On such a joyous day,

how could you be upset?

It's such a pity

that Father, Mother, and Yiren can't see this.

But

it doesn't matter.

After the ceremony,

we can visit their graves to pay our respects.

Right?

And while we're at it,

we can also give Qiushui a surprise.

I said long ago

that my husband must be

a hero who commands awe in the martial world.

This is the Hero Command Token that commands awe in the martial world.

I'm giving it to you today.

From now on, we can rule the martial world together.

Kaiyan,

I was once an orphan,

fortunate to be raised by the Xiao family

and have even learned medicine

to help others.

I aspired

to help as many as I could,

not to marry a man

and spend my life

raising children.

But all that's behind me now.

I've thought it through.

One must look forward

and get over those useless obsessions.

Cheers.

I'm glad you've changed your mind.

In the future, whether you want to practice medicine

or travel the martial world,

Daxi isn't the only place where you can shine.

You poisoned me.

One must look forward.

Yes.

I only want to do one thing now,

and that's to kill you.

Why has all my family turned against me?

If that's the case,

it seems only your death will make you stay.

I'll make you all see

who is the true glory of the Xiao family!

Took you long enough.

You finally showed.

Come on.

Sit.

Have a seat.

Xiao Kaiyan.

Where is Xueyu?

Don't rush.

Today is Xueyu's and my wedding day.

It's been a while since we drank together.

Come on.

Let's…

have a drink.

What?

You're afraid it's poisoned?

Don't worry.

I won't kill you yet.

All this time…

we couldn't find Xueyu.

Turns out you locked her up here

and forced her to marry you.

I'm not drinking this.

You don't deserve it.

Look at you.

You've become such a mess.

Did you forget?

Since you were little,

Xueyu has been the one who cared for you the most.

Did I…

did I mishear?

She cared for me the most?

You mean

you guys cared for me the most?

If that's the case,

let's get things straight.

All my life…

all my life…

you've been put on a pedestal like a main character since you were born!

Someone disposable like me

would never amount to much!

So Mother taught me

to keep my head down

and live a quiet life.

You and Yiren were much valued!

But what was Xiao Yiren like?

Stubborn and self-willed—

nothing like a young sect leader!

And you, a troublemaker,

how are you better than me in any way?

Let me tell you, today,

the martial world

and even the whole country

belong to me!

Whatever I want,

I will get it!

Xueyu.

Xueyu.

Why can't even my wedding day

go the way I want?

Xueyu.

Xueyu.

It's me, Qiushui.

Don't scare me, Xueyu.

Xiao Xueyu.

My great ambition is not yet fulfilled.

How could you have died?

Xiao Qiushui,

you want me dead now, don't you?

On our wedding day,

all she could think about was killing me.

Why do I have to try so hard

and give up everything, every single time,

just to get what I want?

Xueyu.

Let me take you home.

I only wanted to give her a chance,

but she still chose to betray me.

I'll destroy everything

you care about!

Your sister is dead.

What are you still holding back for?

Kill me.

Kill me now!

Kill me,

and you'll never find General Wu.

Xiao Qiushui,

you're a coward.

He's a coward.

I won't kill you.

If I did,

who'd watch me rule the world?

Keeping you alive is far more fun

than killing you.

You're pathetic.

When it comes to lightness skills,

you three are top-tier.

I hear that too often.

But since you said it,

I won't be modest.

But unfortunately,

compared with those in the Daxi martial world

where there are all kinds of masters,

your inner energy and sword skills

still come up short.

All kinds of masters?

If you ask me, it's all kinds of scum.

If not for the traitors within Daxi,

how could Xiao Kaiyan have captured Wu Jie?

General Wu is indeed here.

It's fine to tell him.

Wu Jie's failure to report to the capital

has already caused suspicion and discontent at court.

Even if we release him now,

it won't stop the Northern Wastelanders' grand plan.

You three

claim to be esteemed elders of the martial world,

but in my eyes,

you're just chasing wealth and status.

Why else would you take orders from Xiao Kaiyan?

Very well, Crazy Yan,

people say you're unparalleled in the Daxi martial world.

Then, today,

we'd like to learn a thing or two from you.

To learn from me?

How?

With just the likes of you,

you think you can shake Daxi's rule?

Today, I, Crazy Yan, will show you

the real martial arts of Daxi.

Mr. Yan,

it seems I underestimated you.

I originally planned to spare your life

for Xueyu's sake,

but now there's no need for that.

Where is General Wu?

General Wu doesn't matter anymore.

Mr. Yan,

I'll gladly claim

all of your martial skills.

So this is the internal energy of the greatest master of martial arts?

Great!

Mr. Yan.

Thank you for your gift!

You're nothing but a thieving rat,

trying to throw Daxi into chaos.

You won't succeed.

Tell me,

what's the purpose of living?

To live with joy,

die without regret,

and do what's right.

Live life to the fullest!

Live life to the fullest!

Live life to the fullest.

Qiushui,

the rest

is up to you.

Mr. Yan told Xueyu

about the Voidheart Codex.

Xueyu risked her life to write it down on her sleeve

just so I could see it.

Yiren,

Xueyu,

please watch over Father and Mother for me down there.

After I avenge you,

I'll come join you.

No!

Nobody in this world can

or has the right

to make you do what you are reluctant to.

That's what all your family,

who truly love you,

would wish for you.

Father.

I'm tired.

This qin piece is too difficult.

I just can't learn it.

Swordplay is hard too.

But I've never heard you complain

when you practice.

That's not the same.

Swordsmanship is in the Xiaos' blood.

No matter how much I practice, I never get tired.

Kaiyan, you try it.

Father,

what's even written here?

I can't understand any of it.

Look at you.

Your sword practice is sloppy,

and when it comes to the qin, you don't know a thing.

Very good! Very good!

Fortunately, the Xiao family has Qiushui.

He's got talent, taking after me.

This piece is called "Snow Across the Land."

Profound and ethereal.

It speaks to me.

Qiushui,

practice hard.

Unexpectedly,

to repay the debt, the Jiang brothers

not only carved the Voidheart Codex

into the walls of the Sword Manor

but also hid it within the notes of qin music.

The Voidheart Codex values inner state.

Moves arise with the music,

and infinity unfolds with the mind.

But my father told me

that people who want to make the world better

will always find each other.

That's why

it's righteousness that binds us together in the martial world.

To live with joy,

die without regret,

and do what's right.

Live life to the fullest!

I must avenge the dead.

They were all once real, living people!

The Voidheart Codex

contains 15 techniques.

Namely,

Heaven's Will,

Earth's Power,

Sovereign,

Kin's Thought,

Master's Teaching,

Cutting Gold,

Firm Wood,

Flowing Water,

Burning Fire,

Buried Earth,

Shining Sun,

Moon Reflection,

Drifting Wind,

Veiling Clouds,

and No Self.

Turns out

to not care…

is to care for all.

Your Majesty.

Leave us.

Chenzhou, come.

No need for formalities. Come here

and have a few drinks with me.

Chenzhou, please.

The Immortal Pass...

It's rare for us brothers to meet again.

Today, let's not talk about state affairs

and just enjoy the wine.

Chenzhou,

join me for this drink.

Chenzhou,

do you know this fine wine comes from the Northern Wasteland?

If we could use this chance to stop the war and negotiate for peace,

I believe delicacies and fine wines like this

will keep flowing in.

To stop the war

and negotiate for peace?

Your Majesty, you may not know.

The Northern Wastelanders are about to breach the Immortal Pass.

Once they do,

Daxi will be left wide open

with no defenses left.

Even the capital could be lost.

Your Majesty,

whose fault would that be?

Chenzhou, why did you say that?

Aren't we in peace negotiations right now?

Why worry about the pass falling?

Could it be that someone is

trying to use the chaos between Daxi and the Northern Wasteland

to slip in and scheme for power?

All these years,

I've been aware that people keep saying

I indulge in pleasure

and have no will to reclaim the Central Plains.

But do you know

that Daxi has been weak for so long,

and the more we fight, the weaker we become?

The people don't understand me.

But do you not understand me either, Chenzhou?

Everything I've done

is for the well-being of Daxi people!

For the well-being of the people?

Has Your Majesty truly considered

the people of Daxi?

If peace talks were possible,

how could things have come to this?

If war broke out again,

who'd benefit from it?

And that Wu Jie—

he still hasn't returned to the capital,

and his Wu Army on the front lines won't heed orders.

Is someone

working with the Wu Army

in secret,

giving them the nerve to be so defiant?

Countless soldiers died

on the battlefield.

The general was betrayed by villains,

his fate unknown.

Yet Your Majesty,

instead of fighting the enemy,

you're suspicious of me, a mere idle man.

If this continues,

how can Daxi

not fall?

Li Chenzhou, how dare you!

How dare you speak such treasonous words!

Emperor Taizu established the nation on horseback.

Emperor Taizong ruled with both civil wisdom and military might.

For ages, all nations bowed to us.

Clinging to old ways leads to a dead end.

How can compromise bring lasting peace?

Daxi has 100 years of legacy.

It all hangs on the court's will now.

You've truly spoiled my mood.

I had hoped to share more drinks with you,

but now I see you have no interest.

I'm busy with state affairs.

See yourself out.

I've had

enough of this wine.

Here is

to the soldiers on the front lines

and to all the fallen men and women of the martial world.

Think carefully.

The Northern Wastelanders pretend to negotiate peace

while secretly planning to invade the south.

Your Majesty, do you remember your ambition

to march north and reclaim our lost lands?

I will fulfill it in my own way.

Take care of yourself.

Li Chenzhou,

don't blame me for being cruel.

You chose the path to death yourself.

Chenzhou!

Shirong.

Why are you here?

I've come to take you home.

Chenzhou!

Chenzhou.

Chenzhou.

Wake up.
