I've got clients that fly
in from around the world

to attend this masquerade.

It's an incredibly
important event to me.

But we're now a day away,

and I find out that the event

of strings attached.

two to find locations.

Things have fallen through.

was something that I'd

always wanted to do,
but it's a tough market.

And so I waited
until we really had

established ourselves in L.A.

It's not luxury.

It's like, when I come in
here, I'll be like, really?

I mean, I would be very
disappointed, to be honest.

Imagine if we
did the Sanctum party here.

Imagine if people
walked into this,

and this is what they saw.

I mean, it'd be over.

- I would be disappointed.

- Clearly, we could
never do an event here,

but it's interesting to
see a space like this,

and even whoever like
recommended that we take a look

at this, probably assumes
that this is like on the level

of what we would,
you know, accept.

And uh,

it's fucking terrible.

- It is.

- People are very
interested and intrigued

by whatever this
is conceptually.

They're looking for
like a new experience

and something fun and
something exciting.

But a lotta times
what people don't see

behind the scenes is
us scrambling to try
to make it right.

Okay, this is the
main penthouse.

- I mean, this would
be the main one.

- As far as what's
going on up here,

we've got 500
square feet, maybe.

We've got 500 square feet.

We've got a bar.

- I would do two bars.

- Okay, so we could
do bottle service

and performance in this area.

We could do a stage
probably there, right?

We obviously don't need this.

You know, it's not easy,

but it's definitely
worthwhile, knowing that I'm

fulfilling someone
else's needs and desires

and making them feel
happy and good also.

I get off on that.

- And then we'd have

My first Snctm party was

an absolutely
incredible experience.

And the journey to get
to that first party

seemed almost impossible.

So I find this venue, and
when I met with the owners,

you know, I said,
I'm gonna cordon off

a part of your club, and I'm
gonna have only my members

go in, and I said I'm
gonna do this private show.

And he said, well,
what's the show?

And I said, well, I'm gonna
have this couple invited.

And he said, you're
not gonna have,

there's no sex, right?

- I said no, of
course there's no sex.

And I knew of course that
there was gonna be sex.

So I convinced them to
let me do the event,

and the party is beautiful
and everyone looked good.

And then this sex show begins.

And the owner of
the club walks in.

And he looks at the performers
that are having sex,

and then he looks at me.

And I thought I was
gonna get maybe killed,

or I didn't know if I
was gonna get arrested,

I didn't know what was gonna
happen, but I had to do it.

So, whatever was gonna
happen was gonna happen.

And then he looks
back at the show,

and he doesn't say a word, and
he just watches the sex show.

Because, you couldn't stop it.

It was so beautiful.

There was something
about the moment.

It was like, like
if you can imagine

maybe Nirvana playing like
Smells Like Teen Spirit

for the first time.

Like something that has
never happened before.

There's like moments in time

when you're like, something
magical is happening

and we're a part of it.

That was that moment, in that
member lounge, at this club,

and I knew in that moment
that I had something

To be like still
entertaining but like,

still focused and
know what he's doing.

- I don't get annoyed by Damon's
partying before an event.

That's not true, I do
get a little bit annoyed,

because it kinda takes
away from my day.

But it does bring
us a fair amount of

new guests and new clients.

So when he does it in a way that

it's fruitful to the business,

But as the years have gone on,

more like my best role

I met Damon while I
was running a bar.

There was like something
about him, like a persona,

and he said, oh
yeah, I run a club.

And he was just being
very vague about it.

Which was kind of
intriguing, I guess.

And slowly he told
me what he was doing.

And I still remember.

And I remember thinking,
what sex parties,

like what are you talking about?

He's like, yeah,
it's very secret,

it's very hard to get into.

And I remember being a bit,

I don't know if
frightened's the right word,

but I think I was
a bit frightened.

For them, it was natural

and yeah I think I remember

You've been doing
it now five years.

it's like getting started.

- There's something so
wrong about it, for me.

- It's really important to
me that my family members

somehow respect and
appreciate what Snctm is.

I mean, I understand the
part that they don't like,

but a lotta times
they don't talk about

the parts that are good.

I don't see anything
like intrinsically wrong

with what I'm doing.

There's many people
who like really

flourish in it.

And like, they
have a great time,

and they're married,
and their marriage

is hotter because of it.

It's great for some people.

- I just think that
you have to change it

for your own well-being.

I mean, I understand
that now people

are gonna wanna do it
all over the place.

But that means one
party after the other.

And you're just gonna be
partying and partying.

- Snctm is a whole picture.

It's not just a piece.

And if you just focus
on a little piece of it,

then you're missing
everything else.

And I think that
sometimes people

just focus on the bad part.

But I do believe there's a
lotta good that is Snctm,

and I wouldn't be doing it
if I didn't feel that way.

Snctm gave me the ability
to take care of my family.

Five years ago, I was sleeping
in Melissa's mom's kitchen.

Right, I remember.

- I had fucking $10 to my name.

I was fucked.

And Melissa's dad was helping
us out so we could eat.

I mean, I felt so
fucking emasculated.

I just felt like the biggest
loser, I wanted to kill myself.

- And so now, as this thing
continues to like expand

and do what it is doing,

I don't think
Snctm will survive

if I don't do what I'm
doing the way I am.

The first time I met
Damon was at a club

where he was doing I think,

I believe it was
his second event.

And I was working in one
of the Hollywood venues,

and it was very like soft.

it's a cool concept.

It's interesting,
but I feel like
