This is Khun Aiwarin.

If what Khun Mae wants to discuss with Ann is business,

then Khun Ai should be in the loop too.

Does it feel good,

having the upper hand over me?

I wonder if Khun Mae has forgiven Khun Ai yet.

If not, that’s alright.

As long as Khun Mae takes Khun Ai’s hand

and goes with her, that’s enough.

Then the two of us will win together.

So how should we do it?

(Khun Maevika is here to see Khun Rachen)

Yam knows very well

that Khun Ai feels so much for Khun Mae.

But it’s clear we can’t trust her.

Mm.

To be honest,

it’d be better if Khun Ai stepped back from her.

This relationship is nothing but a risk.

And if anyone were to find out,

it’d be even more dangerous.

I’m sorry for meddling in your personal life, Khun Ai.

- But this is… - I know.

Don’t worry about me.

I’m not the kind to do anything without a plan.

I’ve drawn my own line,

how far this thing between us can go.

If the day really comes

where I have to choose between Orienna and her,

I’ll still have to choose Orienna.

How’s the Andromeda deal going?

All settled.

We’re the only one they’ll shake hands with, right?

Out of courtesy, yes.

But Ai never asked them to do that.

Why not?

Hmph.

Just one word from you and they’d agree.

But if we don’t say anything first

and they change their mind,

we’ll take the hit.

Forget it.

Andromeda…

isn’t the only deal in our bidding plan.

But it is an important one,

because it’s the Thai brand the world is watching.

I think you should talk to them yourself.

And the progress on the other matters?

Everything’s moving along smoothly.

That’s it?

Is that all the heir of Orienna can say?

Truly disappointing.

Put more of yourself into this, Aiwarin.

Anything that doesn’t affect the work,

let it go.

Don’t think

that just because you’re my child I’ll let you do as you please.

I put you in this position.

I can send you back to where you came from just as easily.

I understand, Father.

Being your daughter,

it’s not as glamorous as everyone thinks.

Or as you try to make everyone believe.

I’ll try my best.

That’s all.

If you’ll excuse me now.

Khun Yollada, you’re not in a hurry to leave, are you?

Saying it like that,

it sounds like Sir got something in mind.

Do you have anything to tell me about your boss?

I feel that right now Aiwarin

isn’t very focused on the bidding.

You’re her closest aide.

You should know what’s going on with her.

Lately Khun Ai has seemed stressed.

So she might have lost focus at times.

But Khun Ai is very dedicated to her work.

It just might not take shape as quickly

as you’d like, sir.

Is that so?

Yes.

Since you started working at Orienna,

have you gone back to see your family?

- Mom… - Come here. I told you to come here.

Go.

- Hand over the money. - I don’t have any.

- No, Mom, - I said let go!

- Mom! - I said let go!

- Mom! - You brat.

Yam.

I told you to get me money.

Hah? If you can’t bring me money,

don’t bother being my daughter.

And don’t call me your mother.

And if you can’t get money,

then be a whore, sell yourself.

Stop it, Dad!

- Dad! - Let me go!

- Dad! - Where’s the money?!

- I don’t have any. - Where’s my money?!

- Dad, I’m begging you, - Give me the money!

Dad!

Hand over the money, damn it!

No answer means you haven’t.

By now, they must miss you so much.

They must wonder how you’re living.

How happy you really are.

Or should I send word to them myself?

Sir…

Today I’ll turn a blind eye.

I’ll take your word for now,

for the sake of your loyalty to Aiwarin.

But from here on, when I ask,

think carefully.

Will you keep hiding the truth

to protect Aiwarin,

or will you speak the truth

to protect yourself?

Are you alright?

Come on, let’s get you to a hospital.

No money.

Don’t worry about the medical bills.

I’ll take care of everything.

No, that’s not it.

I just thought, if I go to the hospital,

they’ll definitely come and find me.

I’ve decided to run.

So I have to run far away,

where no one can reach me.

Don’t, not yet.

Then why don’t you come to Bangkok with me?

There, I can look after you.

I won’t let anyone hurt you again.

Sir…

Then allow me to get off here.

Thank you.

So?

Done with work yet?

If you don’t have plans after this,

come have a drink with me.

Where at?

Hey.

Are you alright?

I’m here.

That’s enough, you’re drunk already.

No. Not nearly enough.

What, are you trying to drink yourself to death?

If drinking could really kill me,

that’d be perfect.

Hey.

Get up properly.

Time to go. Get up.

Come on.

Hey.

Let’s get you to your room.

Hey.

Hey.

Let me wipe you down a bit.

Hey.

How are you feeling?

Want me to wipe you down?

No, it’s fine.

Thank you.

For looking after me.

No need to thank me.

You’ve taken care of me too.

You know,

ever since I was born,

besides Khun Ai,

you’re the only one

who’s ever done this for me.

Khun Ai,

she’s such a good boss, isn’t she?

Not just a good boss…

But Khun Ai is like…

the light in my life.

Without her,

by now,

I wouldn’t have survived to be here.

If I had to die

to protect her,

I’d be ready to do it.

Let me wipe you down a bit.

Didn’t you say you’d wipe me down?

Uh…

- Hey, - We’re both women.

It’s no big deal.

Still not asleep?

Why aren’t you answering your phone?

Put more of yourself into this, Aiwarin.

Anything that doesn’t help the work,

just let it go.

Honestly,

it’d be better if you stepped back from her.

This relationship is nothing but a risk.

And if anyone were to find out,

it’d be even more dangerous.

Shit…

Where are you going?

I’m going to shower and get dressed.

It’s time for work.

Can’t you take a day off?

No, I can’t.

Khun Ai has a lot on her mind right now.

I should be by her side and support her.

Same goes for you.

Khun Maevika probably needs you too.

Hey.

What is it you’re really trying to say?

You do know,

that our bosses

are in a relationship?

I know.

And no matter what happens between them,

in the end,

their relationship won’t last anyway.

And then…

it’ll be just like us.

You shouldn’t get involved with me again.

You…

What the hell is wrong with you?

Last night you acted like you wanted me.

You’re the one who called me over.

And now you’re telling me to stay away?

What kind of person are you really?

You just…

don’t hold on to it too tightly.

What happened between us,

it was just a moment of weakness.

If you decide to forget it,

you’ll forget eventually.

(Are you asleep, Khun Ai?)

Sorry…

I just had a lot on my mind.

(Khun Ai)

What are you thinking about?

About you.

Will you meet me tonight at Anthea Bar?

The meeting is ready, Khun Ai.

Alright.

Then I’ll see you tonight.

Okay.

Our presentation plan is now

over 80 percent complete.

As for the partners we’ve lined up,

most of them have agreed.

The only thing left is…

the profit numbers we need to consider carefully.

Do you already have something in mind, Khun Mae?

Which numbers will we use as the base?

I’ve got it.

I’ll use the winning bid figures

from the airport duty-free concession seven years ago.

But we’ll add today’s inflation rate on top.

Then we should set the numbers

at double that benchmark.

Wouldn’t that be too high?

Exactly.

It could be too risky for us.

Why are you so confident, Khun Mae?

Because off-airport duty-free

customers aren’t limited by time like they are inside airports.

So…

they’ll have a greater chance to spend.

And besides, this project

will get full government support.

Because it’s a government initiative.

If the private sector comes in and fails,

that means…

the government’s stability will be shaken too.

And lastly…

I believe

our competitors are thinking the same way.

And they’ll give it everything they’ve got too.

In that case,

if everyone agrees with me,

let me wrap it up then.

I’ll use Roy’s numbers

as our reference point.

And we’ll add on top of that,

following the formula I proposed.

That makes it twenty-four billion.

Back then, Roy’s bid twelve billion and won.

After factoring in multiple points,

this is the most reasonable figure.

And the other competitors,

are they also using Roy’s numbers as their base?

Most likely, yes.

Because that’s the most tangible figure to work with.

Then that means nothing guarantees

that twenty-four billion will be the highest bid.

That’s to be expected.

In the end, it all comes down to the floor.

Then we’ll need another approach.

What approach?

Go figure it out.

There isn’t really any other way,

unless someone gets the inside scoop from a rival

about what their bid will be.

Then we just bid higher than them.

Fine.

I told you, I don’t care about the method.

There’s only one thing I care about,

we have to win.

So, to sum up,

we should try other ways first.

And if we truly have no choice,

then we’ll use this way.

That concludes today’s meeting.

Thank you, everyone.

Khun Ai, Khun Ai,

I never knew

that you smoked.

Not often.

Only sometimes.

It’s just…

waiting for you leaves my mouth idle.

Idle, huh?

Well, it’s not idle anymore.

A special cocktail,

for Khun Mae.

Such a pretty color.

What’s it called?

Try it and see.

It tastes sweet,

but there’s bitterness too.

It’s called "Beautiful Trap."

Or rather…

a trap that’s beautiful.

At first glance it seems sweet,

but deep down it’s bitter.

It’s another drink

that Khun Ai likes.

You like it even though it’s bitter?

Even with its bitterness,

its beauty

makes us captivated,

to the point where…

we forgive any bitterness it carries.

Khun Ai,

you manage to surprise me every time we meet.

I can’t wait to see

what you’ll surprise me with next.

Then don’t wait.

Last time,

you took me to explore the real world.

This time…

you want me to live in a dream instead?

It really does feel like a dream.

And it’s such a beautiful dream,

so good I don’t want to wake up.

Exactly.

If we could just stop time here,

that’d be perfect.

How far along is Superior with their bidding plan?

Do they already have their numbers?

Yes, they do.

And what about Orienna?

They’ve got theirs too.

For Superior,

apart from Orienna,

is there any other bidder we should be concerned about?

Great & Co.

We already know that’s one we need to watch closely.

You seem to know Great & Co. quite well, Khun Mae.

Well…

didn’t you once warn me about Rachen?

Other than that…

there’s no company worth worrying about.

Chamelo is a newcomer,

just entering the field to test the waters.

They don’t have any real strengths to win.

As for Siam Ariana,

even though they’ve won major concessions before,

but their management system is outdated.

That could be used as a weak point to attack.

And that "someone" you mean…

surely you don’t mean you, Khun Ai?

Can’t say for sure.

Just don’t do that to me, alright?

What do you mean?

Well…

spreading damaging rumors about Superior

to cut down a rival.

Do you really think, Khun Mae,

that people who are together

would hurt each other just because…

they want to win in business?

No one ever knows.

Even now,

I still believe

Orienna is the most dangerous rival of all.

Always toying with my heart.

How so?

By…

doing special things for me,

things no one else has ever done.

And now,

I’m already hooked on you.

In that case,

Superior is the scariest rival for you, Ai.

Because its leader

drives you crazy,

to the point you keep thinking,

if you could be together again,

what you could do to impress her next.

What are you doing?

It helps us see the stars clearer.

Oh.

Wow, where’d you learn that?

From my own school.

Father.

Father.

Father!

Maid!

Someone, call an ambulance!

Quickly!

Father, Father!

Father! Maid!

Did you call yet?

Quickly maid.

Khun Maevika,

the doctor would like to see you.

How are you feeling, Dad?

I’m fine now, my dear.

Gave you quite a scare, didn’t I?

At first, yes, I was terrified.

But when the doctor said you woke up,

I felt so much better.

Doctor,

so what exactly happened to my father?

Khun Nuttakorn has arrhythmia,

a condition where the heart beats irregularly.

This can be triggered by many causes,

and it often happens without warning.

Some people may even collapse from shock,

just like what happened to Khun Nuttakorn.

So…

is it very dangerous?

If untreated, yes, very dangerous.

But please don’t worry.

We’ll make sure Khun Nuttakorn gets the best care.

What do I need to do from now on?

Just avoid triggers that could bring on the symptoms,

like stress or anxiety.

Now, if you’ll excuse me.

Mae.

Why are you crying, dear?

Didn’t the doctor just say there’s a way to treat it?

But I’m still scared, Dad.

I’m scared something might happen to you.

But I don’t see it that way.

When it’s time to die, we all must die.

But I want to hold on a little longer,

long enough to see

you win the bidding.

You do know, Mae,

that I made you lead Superior in this auction

not just because I want the concession.

I believe it’s the shortcut

that will make everyone in the company

accept you.

You must become the leader of Superior

when I’m no longer here in this world.

Mae,

promise me, dear.

Promise me you’ll do it.

Yes, Dad.

What should I tell Khun Maevika, Khun Nuttakorn?

Just tell her it’s something serious.

Make it sound worse than it is.

But…

Doctor,

if you cooperate with me,

the new hospital building that’s being planned,

I’ll give it my full support.

Are you sure about this?

Yes.

I’m sure.

May I ask…

what makes you so certain?

Because I asked myself,

if one day,

something happened that kept us apart,

what would I do?

And I already know the answer:

I’d do this.

The one thing we both want the most.

And I’d give it my all,

as if it were the last day.

Do you like it?

Do I really have to say it?

Of course, I want to hear it.

If I say I do?

Then I’ll do it again.

And if I say I don’t?

Then I’ll keep doing it

until you like it.

So which answer is it?

You always seem to have the upper hand over me, Khun Ai.

Not at all.

If anything, I’m the one at a disadvantage.

Especially after today,

you’ve made me feel even more for you, Mae.

If one day…

that day really comes,

the day you spoke of,

the day we can’t see each other again…

you wouldn’t want that, would you?

Who would?

It takes so long to find someone

who makes you truly happy,

who gives your life meaning.

That’s never easy.

But…

no one really knows

what tomorrow will bring.

Shall we make a pact?

That whatever happens from here on out,

it’ll only be…

because we no longer feel the same for each other,

not because of the bidding results.

No matter how the results turn out,

we won’t let them decide

what happens between us.

Just us two, okay?

Alright?

I promise, Mae.

Hello, Khun Rachen.

Shall we meet tomorrow?

I’d like to know how far you’ve gotten with your homework.

Honestly, it’s nothing too difficult.

That whole Greater plan,

it’s just a front they’ve put up.

I’ve got a few inside connections.

So I’ve learned the only thing that really matters… is the number.

And if you can dig up Orienna’s number,

winning this bid will be easy.

But there are so many companies in this bid.

Why focus only on Orienna?

Is there some secret deal

between Superior and Orienna?

This auction…

just got a lot more interesting.

Because Orienna is the company that matters most to me.

I’ve gotten intel on the others.

Nothing too threatening there.

The only real player left… is Orienna.

So if you can uncover their number…

then we just put in a number higher than theirs.

Winning this auction won’t be hard at all.

And do you actually have a way to dig up Orienna’s figures?

No.

But I think you do.

Why would you think that?

Because you’re both women,

it should be easier for you to get close.

And besides,

Aiwarin has a special interest in you.

Everyone can see it.

So let’s agree on this,

you handle digging up Orienna’s numbers,

and I…

I’ll take care of the other companies.

Once we know Orienna’s figures,

we’ll adjust ours to top them.

And I’ll even step back for you,

so you can win the bid.

As for compensation,

I don’t want much.

Just bring me in to help manage the parts you’re not good at.

That way, we’ll be partners.

And how can I be sure

you won’t stab me in the back later?

I don’t know.

But at the very least,

I’m honest enough

to tell you straight out what I want.

While some people

might come to you with hidden motives,

acting far kinder to you than any rival should.

Father, did you come to see me for something?

Last night,

I went to the hotel to see you.

I was about to go up to your room.

But do you know

why I didn’t?

Because I happened to see…

that you had a very important guest.

What exactly is going on between you and Superior’s heir?

I asked, what is going on between you two?

Are you free the next couple of days, Khun Mae?

What thrilling plan are you dragging me into now?

(A secret deal between two billion-dollar heiresses)

I think by entangling yourself with that woman,

you’re taking on a risk that’s not worth it.

But I truly have feelings for her, Father.

Feelings? What feelings?

I’m assigning you to assist Aiwarin.

Dig out Superior’s bidding numbers.

But Mae would never hurt Ai, ever.

(That was close…)

- Cut! - Cut.

Belle, you leaned in way too heavy. (Don’t blame her!)

You really put your full weight into it.

I nearly toppled over. (That’s called commitment!)

(A sudden flutter in the heart…)

Breaking into a sweat, hot and steamy.

And I already run hot.

So the sweat just poured out. (Is your heart racing too?)

Felt like an onsen. (This one’s hopeless…)

(Actually fell asleep!)

(Didn’t want to get up at all…)
