Everything I've witnessed today has
convinced me

that Waterloo Road needs to be much
closer to the community it serves.

We have a bereaved pupil, Darren

whose mother who was a drug addict.

They were living in poverty, seemingly
with very little support.

It's not the main problem, I know, but
if this school had been available as a
haven,

as an educational resource, even just
as a place to be,

then perhaps Mrs Hughes might have
felt less alone.
