today we celebrate the most awesome
women's matches in WWE history.

WWE's women's division has seen
tremendous growth over the past few

Gone are the days of turkey bowls and
catfights, and in are Hell in a Cell,

Royal Rumbles, and WrestleMania main
events.

It's been a long journey, and the
success the division enjoys today is

the strong foundation of great women's
matches from the past to the present. An

evolution that shows no signs of slowing
down.

The women's division was never really a
big focus.

There was a lot of bathroom breaks that
happened during our matches.

We weren't given much time initially.
There was a lot of hair pulling. There

catfights, etc.

But I remember thinking, we can do more.

Time to work.

It's amazing how far women have come and
have really taken over the business.

A Hall of Famer and a trailblazer in the
women's evolution.

My God, what an effort by both women.

I'm getting goosebumps thinking about
matches with the women.

Little girls could be at the arena and
look on and say, oh my God, that was

incredible.

Bianca from the top row, 450.

What a match.

Four horsewomen.

Becky, Charlotte, Bayley, Sasha, those
four women made a huge difference in

women's wrestling.

The Four Horsewomen have completely
changed the game.

Sasha, Bayley, the Ironman match they
had.

That's how you make a statement, like a
boss.

That thing had me, like, glued to the
screen.

Bayley to Bayley!

Bayley's the women's champion!

Man, winning the Raw Women's title on
Raw.

As a performer, that is just a bucket
list thing, a dream come true.

Charlotte and Sasha step it up inside
the Hell in a Bell, the most dangerous

match in the WWE.

Fly it through the air and right into
the cell.

So WrestleMania 32 comes along, and dare
I say we have the match of the night

and steal the show.

We've worked.

So the Jumping Bomb Angels were a team I
remember

for sure.

Survivor Series 2003 against Lita was
probably one of my favorite matches.

We were getting up on the top rope and I
saw my peripheral, everybody standing

up behind us.

And I knew it was special.

Everybody's on the top.

That was the women's division in NXT.

I got my moment.

And it's definitely going to be a memory
of mine for the rest of my life.

WrestleMania 37, I had the opportunity
to main event with Sasha Banks.

For the first time ever, two black women
have a title match in the main event at

WrestleMania.

To this day, it's still probably one of
my proudest calls.

Just that image was so powerful, the
representation that it showed for women

women of color.

When you feel like you have the fans in
the palm of your hand, you wouldn't want

to trade it for anything else.

There's a certain feeling when you go
all out and you have this match, you

this amazing moment, you put everything
into it.

It's indescribable.

Like I felt the energy from the crowd.

We've got them.

The whole crowd started chanting back.

It was amazing.

To be able to have this front row seat
to all this history is pretty freaking

amazing.

Pretty freaking amazing is right.
There's no denying the strides women

in WWE, perhaps none of which would have
been possible without the ones who

first sparked the revolution in 1994.

Alundra Blaze, also known as Medusa, and
Japanese legend Bull Nakano. The two

made history by having the first ever
women's title match in SummerSlam

a bout that would ignite a new and
higher standard for women in WWE.

The first women who really stood out to
me as a fan were Bull Nakano and Alundra

Blaze. Look at the size of Bull Nakano.
She is a major superstar in the land of

the rising sun.

She was just different. She came out
with, you know, the hair up and the

makeup, and she was just strong and
tough.

This is a very powerful athlete.

It's a Blaze for sure.

When you see the Blaze, you're going to
feel the heat.

Alundra Blaze is such an impressive
competitor.

that she captured so much attention that
the title became credible again.

Some of my favorite wrestling matches
involved these two

women. Under the guidance of the devious
Luna Vachon, Nakano would set her

sights on the women's championship held
by Alundra Blake.

And it would all come to a head at
SummerSlam 1994.

And come to Chicago to make history.

She's dominating

Alundra Blaze.

They were beating the holy hell out of
each other. Everything was brutal on a

level that most of the men weren't
doing.

The greatest threat that Alundra Blaze
had ever faced.

Just when you thought you could count
her out of this matchup, she's right

in it.

Alundra Blaze all day. I wish that I
could have seen more.

Alundra and Bull feeling the show. Here
we are decades later, and people still

go back and watch those matches.

A moment that has undoubtedly stood the
test of time. A flashpoint of sorts

where two trailblazers provided a
glimpse of what female athletes are

when given the opportunity to shine.
Now, another eye -opening moment would

in 2002 when Trish Stratus... and
Victoria clashed at Survivor Series in a

brutal, hardcore match from a sold -out
Madison Square Garden.

The action was hard -hitting and was a
true display of both competitors'

toughness and grit.

Personal stories will always make the
best rivalries. Always.

You talk about animosity.

Trish Stratus and Victoria had some time
before WWE as fitness models.

And in 2002, Victoria...

wasn't at the height of Trish Stratus.

Victoria had accused Trish of holding
her back.

There's something personal here.

To get some revenge, some beatings had
to take place.

Women's wrestling in this era, it was
never really violent.

Trish and Victoria went out to show the
world that they were on the same level

as anyone else.

They took that into Survivor Series 2002
in a hardcore match.

No disqualifications, and Trish's
women's title on the line.

Seeing women in hardcore matches wasn't
something that we necessarily got a lot

at all at the time.

It's been over three years since the WWE
sanctioned a hardcore rules women's

title match.

It came from such a past where you're
like, surely this match isn't going to

like super, you know, hardcore.

And it was.

Oh, no! Oh,

gosh! This is about as undiva -esque as
any match that I've seen.

Seeing them beat on each other with
kendo sticks.

Here we go!

Oh, my gosh!

With trash can legs.

Oh, God almighty!

Bring in a fire extinguisher.

Oh, man! This is an amazing testament to
the will to win by both these women.

Snap suplex, the hook of the leg.

Did she get it? She got it! You've got
to be kidding me!

Watching her and Trish go at it, it was
just something that was really, really

fun to me.

Victoria is the new women's champion.

Bloody nose and all.

This was one of those moments in women's
wrestling where we're like, yes!

They are letting us have these
opportunities and these moments to

women can do.

Damn right!

In an era where female superstars rarely
had the opportunity to showcase their

intensity, these two women held the
crowd captive, letting to rest any

women could compete on such a rigorous
level.

Now, for Trish, this was the first in a
trifecta of matches that would continue

to drive female superstars to new
heights.

Four years later, at WrestleMania 22,
the women's champ would meet an obsessed

and dangerous Mickie James in a match
that would be remembered.

Forever.

I'm Mickie James. Mickie James.

This woman is a psychopath. She may be
the most dangerous, dangerous diva we've

ever seen. Mickie James.

Psychopath. I'm Raw's newest diva.

Do you love me now, Trish Stratus?

It was Kathy Bates in Misery Vibes right
away from Mickie James.

I'm like your biggest fan. I mean, I've
written you like a gazillion times.

As the weeks went on, we started to see
that Mickie James wasn't just a

supporter of Trish Stratus. Mickie James
was obsessed with Trish Stratus. I love

you.

It got wacky. Like, there was some crazy
stuff that we were doing, and the fans

were like, what the heck is going on
here?

I remember watching with Mom, there was
this one scene where Trish was, like, in

the shower, and Mickie came up with a
towel.

Wow, Trish.

My mom was not happy about it.

Mickie is getting crazier and crazier
and crazier.

You and I, we just need some time apart,
all right? Until finally, Mickie James

couldn't take it anymore and just kicks
her in the face.

Oh! Mickie James just tick -ticked Trish
Stratus' head off!

You got me now!

Each week was something different, and
it built up to our big WrestleMania

match.

The following contest is for the WWE
Women's... It was one of the main

attractions of that WrestleMania, and
with good reason.

That's the only reason I bought that
Mania that year.

Trish has been in the ring with the
greatest female competitors in the WWE,

no one as unpredictable as Mickie James.

A lot of these fans are actually
identifying with Mickie James.

It was real emotion. People really felt
one way or the other, to the point where

some people weren't hearing me, which
was, what is happening here?

Quite frankly, there is a sizable
portion of the male population in this

who, how do I say it, dig crazy shit.

Oh! Oh!

Oh, my God!

Her eyes, I felt like we could see stuff
happening in her head. And now Nikki.

Nikki James, maybe the new champ.

Will it be enough?

Yes, it is. She's got a new champion.

For Nikki James to walk away with the
win, I think it's just a perfect little

bookend to a story.

The match just kind of opened my eyes
about what two talented performers can

I mean, I don't want to brag, but I
think we blew the roof off the team.

For me to win the Women's Championship
at my first ever WrestleMania was a

come true.

Mickey's dream to annihilate the
champion was certainly Trish's nightmare

realized. It wasn't just a great
culmination of their road to

an astonishing show of in -ring ability
that rivaled any of the men's matches

that night and deserves its place in
history.

Now. I don't know what it is about
Trish, besides being one of the ghosts,

just five months later in her hometown,
she would find herself in another epic

battle, this time with long -standing
arch -rival Lita. Now, these two had

fair share of all -out grudge matches,
and with the women's title on the line

and Trish set to retire, they would push
each other to the limit one last time.

Frick. And Lita raised the stakes to
take a women's feud to new heights. Both

are fan favorites, but they've got a
real competitive rivalry.

So the thing about Trish Stratus and the
Lita characters is they're so

different. There was Trish fans and
there were Lita fans.

You had Trish who had like the look. She
was like the poster girl. And then Lita

was the perfect alternative.

Two people perceived at the top of their
era.

Going against each other, we always
brought out the best from each other

day one.

We're pretty much at the highest point
we've been ever in women's wrestling.

my mom got sick, so I made a decision to
retire.

Yes, it's true that Trish is indeed
going to retire from WWE.

Thank you for coming on this.

Amazing, awesome ride.

We had such a long, long history
culminating in Trisha's last match.

One last time, one last match, Trisha
and Lita, for the Women's Championship.

What do you say?

Okay, so Unforgiven in your hometown.

It's on.

We welcome you, ladies and gentlemen,

To Toronto, Canada, for the ninth annual
extravaganza known as Unforgiven.

Toronto freaking loves Trish, as they
should.

What an amazing ovation. A standing
ovation from over 16 ,000 fans

for Trish Stratus' last match.

Having Trish's last match in Toronto was
very...

sad. I remember crying a little bit
because these two women inspired me as

Going out there every week and just
getting better and better and better and

better. It was like you didn't want that
to end because you didn't really know

what was next.

Trish can break the record and become
the first ever seven time champion.

That would be a Hollywood type ending.
That would be something that movies are

made of. That night we get to go out
there and remind ourselves why we do

And those are the moments that I just
sit back and really have to, like, let

soak in.

These two women have had a love -hate
relationship since they first crossed

paths in 2000.

Amazing match between Trish Stratus and
Lita, back and forth.

They were taking some risks, and they
were, like, doing things that it was

crazy to see.

Hammering each other. Wow.

You're in a real precarious position.

Oh, my God.

This is a slugfest. Oh, this is great.

What a match this is.

And then, next thing you know, Trish
Stratus being Trish Stratus, finding a

to put on a sharpshooter. Wait a minute,
J .R., look at this. You've got to be,

wait a minute here.

J .R., sharpshooter, sharpshooter.

The crowd's on their feet.

The crowd's going crazy.

The sharpshooter.

Trish has got the sharpshooter of the
champion.

Lena's desperately trying to get to the
rope to save herself.

Trish hasn't locked in. That hole is as
Canadian as Canadian can get. It's over.

It's over.

And Trish wins.

Here is your winner by submission and
the new WWE Women's Champion,

Trish Stratus.

I'll never forget the emotion of that
moment and holding my title up and just,

you know, it's bittersweet. It was my
retirement match, so I was leaving,

was not a great thing.

But it ended up being one of my most
prized moments in the ring.

What an ovation!

And rightfully so in her last match!

That was the way it had to end, with
Trish Stratus putting Lita in the

sharpshooter to win the title and walk
away to never be heard from again.

Just kidding. She is definitively back.

Back in, dare I say, better than ever.
For over 20 years, Trish has been the

face of the women's division and one of
the most vocal advocates for female

superstars. I think I speak for the
entire WWE universe when I say, thank

Trish. Now, on to a match widely
regarded as a watershed moment in

wrestling. Sasha Banks vs. Bayley at NXT
TakeOver in 2015. It was a masterclass

of storytelling and a spectacular
showcase of athleticism that tore the

a sold -out Barclays center.

To say it was a game -changer would be
putting it lightly.

Take a look.

NXT TakeOver in Brooklyn.

We all knew something special was going
to happen that night.

We didn't know it was going to be
arguably the greatest women's match of

time. Bayley and Sasha are both part of
WWE's original four horsewomen. Sasha,

Becky, Bayley, and Charlotte.

We knew how bad each of us wanted it,
but it was like, but I want it more.

Sasha, Charlotte, and Becky at that time
were the chosen three.

I feel like Bayley gets left out of this
equation, but the...

Spotlight plays out funny in life.

Bailey was telling a story of somebody
who had been left behind, of somebody

had to prove herself, even to the people
that she came up with.

Bailey reverses, shoulders down, and
that's it.

And Sasha was telling the story of
somebody who was sitting in the throat

unwilling to give up that seat.

Nearly 16 ,000 rabid NXT fans have
packed the Barclays Center in Brooklyn,

York.

Now it is all about the NXT Women's
Championship.

Sasha Banks doing it the only way she
knows how. Like a boss.

It wasn't just two friends trying to see
who was better. It was personal, and it

was war.

Bailey's still with that hand brace on.
She broke her hand, was out of action

for two months.

Oh, no!

That match was brutal.

The things those two women put their
bodies through to kind of say, hey, we

good, and we're as good as anyone else.

Oh!

Springboard elbow drop!

The official keeping Sasha Banks. Oh,
wait a minute. What a plunge over the

rope. Watch this again. Oh, my God.

The physicality was just on another
level.

Oh. So many risks were taken. Both of
those ladies really brought it. Oh, my

goodness. Look at the leg. Sasha gets a
retain.

Kick out by Bayley.

I just remember watching Sasha stomp the
hand of Bayley while she's trying to

lock in her finisher.

No, no. She rolled.

Wait, wait, wait.

Reversal. Reversal. How did she do that?

Bailey reversed it. She reversed. Oh,
no.

It's a scary spot for both these ladies.

What does Bailey have in mind?

There was an eruption in Brooklyn when
Bayley finally beat Sasha Banks.

Bayley's your new NXT Women's Champion.

To see somebody who in unison, everybody
watching goes, man, did they

earn that.

It was just so emotional, and I think
that happens when you take two best

friends and you put them in the ring
together and have a long, extended feud.

Magic happens.

They kicked the door down to the main
roster and said, this is the new

Keep up or get left behind.

They wanted to change the game in their
own way, and they went out there and hit

an absolute grand slam.

Harold did.

As the greatest women's match up until
that point, it arguably still holds that

honor today. And I'd even say it was one
of the very best overall matches in WWE

history. Truly groundbreaking.

Just like our next headliner, the first
ever women's Royal Rumble match.

For years, the men, and only a handful
of women, Chyna, Santina, to name a

couple, got to enjoy competing in WWE's
most fun and exciting match.

But in 2018, the women's division would
no longer be denied and finally got in

on the action.

The result was a wild rumble that was
plenty worth the wait.

Three years ago, a revolution started in
the WWE.

What do you say, ladies?

You make history once again.

We will have, for the very first time in
all women's Royal Rumble match.

2018 was the first ever all -women's
Royal Rumble.

I remember hearing about that thinking,
oh my gosh, that's huge.

The Royal Rumble is a pay -per -view
that fans wait for all year round.

And to find out we were going to have an
all -women's one was sick.

I was excited for that.

This is the moment that, as a woman,
we've been waiting for.

These women have been working.

for this kind of recognition, for this
moment, for this opportunity.

I mean, just to give them a chance.

In my mind, I was like, anything could
happen.

Up next is history.

For the first time ever, 30 women will
compete in a Royal Rumble match.

I remember specifically being so nervous
for that Royal Rumble match. I feel

like my hands were cutting out.

Imagine the nerves, the butterflies.

I think everyone was just so excited to
see what it would produce.

No eliminations yet as we await entry
number five.

The best part of the Royal Rumble is
always seeing the return.

That's the amazing women that we have
now mixed it up with the greats of the

past. To see everyone who was involved
in that match, it was so fun.

It's like a reunion.

Michelle McCool. And Michelle McCool!

Beth Phoenix.

Beth Phoenix with the eye off on her
shoulders!

Tori Wilson knocked my throat out of my

Perhaps the greatest of all time.

Women of the past, present, and
everybody that has dreamed about this,

were all getting to be a part of it.

That was wonderful.

When it came down to...

who was actually going to win the match,
everyone was on the edge of their seat.

Asuka is a history maker.

Asuka deserves all the praise.

She's one of the best performers that
I've ever seen in person, male or

So I couldn't think of someone more
fitting to win the first moment.

What an incredible night. What an
incredible match.

They made a statement that, like, this
isn't just a one -shot deal. This is

here. This is how women are going to be
featured.

Indeed, Asuka and the 29 other
superstars put the world on notice that

Women could and would continue to
headline major WWE events.

And soon enough...

They would host Evolution, WWE's first
all -women pay -per -view, with Becky

Lynch and Charlotte Flair squaring off
in the first -ever last -woman standing

match. It was a battle befitting the
occasion, brutal and intense from the

opening bell, with the man and the queen
pushing their bodies to the brink in an

unforgettable showdown.

It's incredible news.

Becky Lynch defends her title in the
first ever last -woman standing match

against Charlotte Flair. We knew how
close Charlotte and Becky were, their

friendship, their story. And then to see
them just turn heads on each other.

Oh, Becky!

I thought that's your best friend!

Was the best friend.

It felt real, I think, to everyone.

These two former best friends intend on
destroying one another.

Our relationship is a little frayed now
because, you know, there has been

personal things that I want to be the
top dog.

She wants to be the top dog.

But we have that friction there.

Those two coming together to have a last
woman standing match. I mean, I know

I'm going to do the cliche of that.
That's awesome.

The following contest is a last woman
standing match for the

SmackDown Women's Championship.

A matchup of former best friends turned
bitter enemies.

I just remember we both had so much
pressure on ourselves.

There are no pitfalls. There are no
submissions.

There are no countouts. There's
qualifications.

You win this match when your opponent
cannot get up for a count of ten.

Becky and Charlotte, who have amazing in
-ring chemistry with each other,

probably like one of their best matches.

Charlotte's going to... Oh, my God!

Are you kidding me?

They had a last woman standing match. So
here's weapons and they're beating the

snot out of each other. They gave it
everything, putting their bodies through

hell to show that women belong on a
stage like this.

Becky Lynch is going up top.

Somebody stop Becky Lynch.

Leg drop off the ladder. Bruce Charlotte
through the table.

Becky is so hardcore. The way she's just
so willing to sacrifice herself, it's

inspiring, but it's also insane. She's
crazy a little bit.

Becky back to her feet.

Charlotte Flair's in trouble.

Becky Lynch.

Oh, Bob!

Through the table!

I'll always find a way to win, and if
it's one thing that I can do, it's

survive.

Charlotte back to her knees.

It's over.

Becky Lynch.

Becky Lynch retains the title.

Standing ovation for the WWE fans here
tonight for these two women who made

history. When I think of the women's
evolution, two names that come to mind

Becky and Charlotte.

What an incredible match.

The first ever last woman standing match
in WWE.

Becky and Charlotte just stepped up to
the plate. They beat the crap out of

other. It was personal. And if you were
a casual fan watching this, Had it

bought into women's wrestling at that
point, I think after that match, you

sold.

Oh, 100 % sold. And just fascinating to
witness the evolution, which started

slowly, but is now bulldozing its way
into the squared circle, led by female

powerhouses like Becky Lynch and
Charlotte Flair. The latter of which

follow up her performance at Evolution.

by competing in a dream matchup with the
baddest woman on the planet, Ronda

Rousey, at Survivor Series in Los
Angeles.

What ensued was a grueling, rage -filled
match that had every person in the

arena on the edge of their seat.

What a collision is in store at Survivor
Series.

Champion versus champion, Lynch versus
Rousey. Going into Survivor Series 2018,

Becky Lynch is riding a wave of momentum
like we maybe have never seen in the

WWE women's division on her way to the
biggest match of her career against

Rousey. But before she gets there, she
ends up with a broken nose.

Becky Lynch all busted up.

That one hit from Nia Jax altered the
fate of Survivor Series.

Unfortunately, the medical team will not
clear me to fight on Sunday.

Now I gotta pick my replacement for
Survivor Series.

Someone who I know can get the job done.

You.

Go beat Ronda the way I was gonna beat
Ronda.

Becky Lynch hand selects the queen.

And in comes Charlotte Flair, ready to
take the challenge to the baddest woman

on the planet.

We welcome you to WWE Survivor Series.

You know, we're talking about Ronda
Rousey, somebody who's got a crazy

accolades before she came into WWE.

And now she's in the ring against
Charlotte Flair, who is one of the best

women's wrestlers of all time.

Tonight it's about the elite facing the
elite to determine who truly is the

best. Despite what happened to Becky
Lynch, this in and of itself is a dream

match. The queen isn't afraid to throw
hands.

No kind of backstory or anything, and so
it really put the pressure on us to

create the story in the match itself.

And look at Ronda Rousey, going to wrap
up Charlotte in the top rope. The two of

them together is just blockbuster
greatness.

This is where she gets rowdy.

The chemistry between the two, there's
this sort of like mutual respect.

I know you're going to hit me, so I
expect that you're not going to complain

when I hit you.

Charlotte Flair from out of nowhere
almost had her two and a half.

A collision of two behemoths within
women's wrestling.

These are the two best in the world at
what they do.

The great thing about that match is you
got to see a different side of Charlotte

Flair because she's someone who's proved
that that can each made the right

decision by making her the replacement.

This may be the most physical match
Ronda's been involved in here.

This was a really brutal match,
particularly for Ronda Rousey, who got

than she bargained for.

And meanwhile, Ronda Rousey and
Charlotte with a kendo stick!

Why on...

Charlotte Flair's not done.

I don't get this. The match is over.
Charlotte Flair is disqualified.

She decided to beat her with everything
else she could possibly find.

Charlotte Flair with a steel chair in
hand now.

Oh, my God!

Green's defending her kingdom from the
baddest woman on the planet.

And Ronda Rousey is still helpless.
She's still defenseless. She's been

up by Charlotte.

Oh, wait, she's back.

She's back.

A natural selection right out of a steel
chair.

That's all we can ask for as wrestling
fans is just to be in situations where

we're just sitting there with that
excitement thinking something good is

to happen here, and it did.

The queen has snapped.

Yeah, remind me never to get on the
Queen's bad side. Ouch.

Their grit and fortitude gained both
women the respect of the entire WWE

Universe and was another step forward
for women.

Now, how about we take a leap forward?

Our next matchup did just that when
Natalya and Lacey Evans made history,

becoming the first female superstars to
compete in a match in the Kingdom of

Saudi Arabia.

It was a contest and a night filled with
hope and aspirations.

which could be seen on the face of every
person present.

There's a lot of talk of groundbreaking
and trailblazers when it comes to

women's wrestling.

Crown Jewel 2019.

It was Natalia, it was Lacey Evans, and
it was the first time we ever saw two

women have a match in Saudi Arabia.

When I heard it was Natty and Lacey, I
was like, this is going to be so epic.

Both of them being able to go over there
and represent.

the strength and independence that we
are as women in this company, I thought

was incredible.

I can't even imagine the amount of
butterflies that Lacey and Natalia

had to deal with before that match.

We were breaking barriers.

Ladies and gentlemen, you cannot
overstate the importance of this matchup

tonight. It is the first time there has
ever been a women's match in Saudi

Arabia.

I mean, I don't think people to this day
understand how important that moment

was. This was freaking incredible.

I was just very excited to see that
there was lots of little girls and women

were looking at those two in the ring
changing.

the way that people view women's

To see women competing in a WWE ring,
that opened up a whole new spectrum of

dreams for a lot of little girls who may
have never in a million years thought

it was possible, but seeing it happen
right there in front of them, I think

offered a lot of hope.

To know that there are little girls in
Saudi Arabia, just like my little

who get to experience that and get to
watch women look up to them, it means

world to me.

It really showed that the fans respect
and want what the women are doing, and

they want it to be a part of the fabric
of the show.

I'm so glad that people like me and like
my sisters who come from there or live

there can witness that in our lifetime.

It makes me very proud, and it makes me
very happy to see that kind of progress.

Talk about barrier -breaking, an
emotional match that truly transcended

world of sports entertainment.

Now, you might notice a common theme
here.

One of relentless perseverance and
determination by WWE's female

desire to give their all and be the
best.

Which brings us to the ESP. Bianca
Belair and big time Becky Lynch.

Two alphas whose journey to WrestleMania
38 told two stories. One of resolve and

one of redemption.

Becky Bianca at WrestleMania 38 was such
a cool pinnacle to a longer story.

Becky Lynch is taking care of business
with a manhandle slam cover on Belair.

Lynch wins the title.

A manhandle slam put Bianca Belair away
in 26 seconds, and Belair is stunned.

Unfortunately, my first fight with Becky
Lynch was at SummerSlam when she popped

up and took the SmackDown Lynch
Championship for me in 26 seconds.

Jaws are on the floor!

That moment really changed the whole
trajectory of my career.

People thought that was kind of the end
of Bianca Belair, but it wasn't. It was

really the beginning of Bianca Belair.
It became a redemption story.

Bianca Belair is going to WrestleMania!

Big time Becky Lynch versus a resurgent
Bianca Belair. She's looking to overcome

the humiliation of SummerSlam.

WrestleMania is the most important event
of the year.

There's not another feeling like it.

Becky coming out in the big white
Escalade was just oozing that big time

energy. Nobody enters in style quite
like Becky Lynch.

And then we've got Bianca coming out to
that marching band.

I think the ESPN is trying to show that
she can pull off the grandest entrance.

Right

now,

Becky Lynch looks unfazed.

Bianca Belair looks extremely confident.
Who wants it more is the question.

Right from the start.

Becky tried to do her slam just like she
did a few months prior where Bianca

lost in 26 seconds.

Oh, history will not repeat itself here
tonight.

Becky will scratch and claw, that is for
sure. That was a very aggressive match.

A series of brutal Beck's floater
suplexes.

It's an offensive blitz from the Raw
Women's Champion, Becky Lynch.

Oh!

They need so many different moves to try
to take me out.

Becky Lynch, she's done everything to
keep Bianca Belair out of this match,

not able to put her away. That has to be
a little bit frustrating.

The place is just losing its mind, and I
am losing my mind.

It's about the emotions of wanting to
win. That's what we're seeing.

Becky actually hit one of my Loki
favorite moves in wrestling, the Molly

round.

But in doing that,

ends up hitting Bianca Belair in the
face.

Worst Molly Garone I've ever seen.

Bianca Belair has her eye swollen shut.

I just remember thinking, if anybody can
finish a match with one eye,

Bianca was going to be the one to do it.

Belair back with a fury spinebuster.

Becky was able to pull something out of
me that a lot of people hadn't seen yet.

Belair's head.

Belair, high soft flip!

KOD!

Shoulders down, one, two, three, and we
have a new champion!

Bianca Belair earned that title that
night at WrestleMania 38.

In my opinion, that's the greatest
women's match in the history of

Humiliation at SummerSlam, redemption at
WrestleMania.

That moment was so powerful, the
representation that it showed for women.

know that generations are going to come
behind us and they're going to use that

match as inspiration.

I'm so honored to be a part of that
moment.

An inspirational and eye -popping moment
indeed.

Bianca Starr burned bright in Dallas
that night, but all props to Becky Lynch

too. Beginning to end, this was a match
that lived up to the hype. And one year

later, in Los Angeles, it was Charlotte
Flair and Rhea Ripley's turn to shine on

the WrestleMania stage.

One, a veteran champion looking to
surpass a bar she herself had set. And

other, a challenger.

Hungry to dethrone the queen, and with
drama, emotion, and daring feats at

turn, it was a fight truly fit for
Hollywood.

This is my brutality!

In wrestling, there's no one that can
touch Bia Ripley right now, just because

she's at the top of her game.

I came in here at number one and
outlasted 29 other women to win the

Royal Rumble match.

Who will Rhea Ripley be facing at
WrestleMania?

Charlotte Flair, I choose you.

So, WrestleMania 36 was an interesting
time.

The first time Rhea and Charlotte
wrestled at WrestleMania was during the

pandemic, so there was no fans, and she
really didn't get to fully enjoy that

moment, which was always frustrating.

And Rhea Ripley, no choice but to tap.

Three years ago, she put me in my place.

She was young, she was green, and she
wasn't ready.

She felt seemingly lost in the shuffle
for a majority of that time during those

three years.

Three years ago, Rhea Ripley couldn't go
through me, and today she can't go

through me.

You had this unbeatable queen in
Charlotte Flair, and you had the popular

-and -coming star in Rhea Ripley.

And Rhea was only going to make it to
the next level by getting through the

queen. I don't only want to be a star,
but I bloody need to be a star.

This was Rhea Ripley's redemption story.

Rhea Ripley needs this moment to become
a star.

You had women that were hungry with real
talent, legitimate female athletes that

could steal the show.

To see these two women who are pretty
similar in size and strength and

go at it, it was just like, yes, this is
what we need.

So hard to pick a favorite coming into
this.

That match was insane, intense, and they
beat the hell out of each other.

Rhea, thinking about Riptide!

Charlotte countered into a DDT.

What a move for the win.

Rhea kicks it too.

The crowd was so into the match,
everything about it. It was just such a

atmosphere.

Oh, my God.

When she threw Charlotte Flair on her
face, that was awesome.

Cover for the championship.

Charlotte's still in the match.

How the hell did Charlotte kick out?

I have no earthly idea, nor does Rhea
Ripley.

They had everybody in the stadium on
their feet, gasping at every kickoff.

You gotta be kidding me!

Look at the face of Charlotte! The look
of what do I need to do?

It's all right here. This is all the
story.

Just like that grittiness of neither one
of them wanted to give up and just

staring at each other with that face.

This is incredible.

Charlotte and Rhea at stage, he blows.

The intensity was just there. The
passion for wanting to be the best. She

to be the best. I want to be the best.

These two women leaving it all in the
ring for the right to be the women's

champion.

It was one of the greatest WrestleMania
matches I've ever seen.

Notice I didn't put the word women in
that title.

Charlotte Flair, what's she going to try
to do up there?

No! Charlotte, face first off the post.
She may be out, Corey.

26 years. That is one of the most
incredible championship matches I've

witnessed. To see my best friend achieve
something that she's been wanting for

so long in that scenario, WrestleMania
over Charlotte, couldn't have been

prouder. But even Charlotte Flair
pointed back to Rhea Ripley and said,

earned it tonight because it is the
eradicator's time.

It's not put on. It's not fake.

She pushes me and I hope I push her.

knocked off the queen.

For me.

The enduring image of that match is when
Charlotte points to Rhea. It's an

awesome show of respect and admiration
that truly pays homage to the path of

just these two superstars, but all the
women before them who have kicked down

doors and smashed glass ceilings,
proving there is no such thing as limits

that boundaries are meant to be pushed.
