professional sports figures, or highly

acclaimed musicians, there is one thing
they all agree on. There is no more

thrilling experience than stepping on to
the WWE stage.

Favorite celebrity moment.

Because there's been a bunch. There's
been so many that are so cool.

something that's happened since the

Absolutely great. Lawrence Taylor and
Bam Bam Bigelow. LT has done the

impossible. It's actually turned into
one of my favorite things that we do.

Machine gun Kelly, not at the stage.

It shows you we transcend sports
entertainment.

Having a celebrity involved with WWE, it
brings eyes to the product.

I can't believe it.

There's people that don't watch WWE.

but they could be a fan of this one
celebrity, and if they come to WWE,

go, oh, WWE, like, what is that? I want
to see that.

Jon Stewart!

What the hell did he do that for?

We not only get all these global eyes
that wouldn't normally be watching our

show, they're putting a lot of work into
what we do.

Buddy Fly!

Oh, my God,

are you kidding me?

You see it on TV enough times and you
think you know it, but then when you're

backstage and you're seeing everybody
around and you're like, wow, it's a

different world. I was very excited to
be asked to be part of that world, even

if it was just for a night.

Bro, you got your driver's license on
you?

I didn't know nobody was checking.

You really can't overstate what it's
like walking out into a WWE arena.

When my music hit and I walked out, I
was so nervous that I forgot to get in

ring. For the very first time, Stephen
Amell stepping foot in a match.

I don't never get nervous, but tonight I
must say my heart was beating very

fast. It was a great feeling to be able
to be a part of it and to hold my belt

up high at the end of the night.

It's so much fun.

It's a different type of live.

They're like alive.

Beth Phoenix and I getting to wrestle.

There'll be nothing better in life for
me.

You know, sometimes I just pinch myself
and ask if I'm dreaming, and I still

think I'm dreaming. I mean, I'm
WrestleMania with Pat McAfee.

What else could I want to do tonight?

It was amazing to watch it all these
years and then get to appear with the

current superstars. It is unbelievable
how this happened in my real life.

Going down that ramp, hearing that
crowd, going inside the ring.

You've got to be kidding me! It is
really one of the greats.

Kind of thrilled, honestly.

I highly recommend it.

And who is going to disagree with
Wolverine? Now, what do you say about

it all the way back to perhaps the
earliest and most iconic sports

celebrity crossover ever?

One that created a nationwide buzz
fueled by a commitment to character that

yet to be matched to this day.

Ladies and gentlemen, the legendary Andy
Kaufman.

40 years ago, I brought the first
celebrity into the wrestling world in

Kaufman. I come from Hollywood,
California, where I make movies and TV

am a national television star.

Andy Kaufman at the time was considered
a comedian, but he was more known as a

star of the number one sitcom, Taxi. He
goes into Memphis.

He's just, you know, wrestling women.

He's the intergender wrestling champion.

When it comes to things like cooking and
cleaning, washing the potatoes,

scrubbing the carrots, raising the
babies, mopping the floors, they have it

over men. I believe that. He's a real
nerd, a real jerk.

It's very different from climbing in the
ring with women when you're going to be

climbing in the ring with me.

Kaufman did a hell of a job.

I mean, a hell of a job. He had more
heat than probably anybody in that

building.

Andy Kaufman was not afraid

of being hated.

So I put my food on the table by
wrestling. I don't like anybody like you

thinking that they can do it. Just come
walking in off the street. The time for

talk was over. And Kaufman and Waller
collided at the Mid -South Coliseum in

front of over 11 ,000 fans.

Here it is. Come and get me in the
headlock. I'm going to let you have this

shot.

He slammed Kaufman.

Poor Andy went to the hospital, stayed
in traction three days, and that got a

lot of attention. Suddenly, we get
called by the David Letterman Show. It

Andy and I famous, and it made celebrity
involvement in wrestling famous.

Tonight, for the first time on network
television, they meet face -to -face.

Here are Andy Kaufman and Jerry Lawler.
I had to spend three days in the

hospital in traction, and I was given
this neck brace in the hospital. It was

very real neck brace. I could have been
killed, and I could have had my neck

broken. Did you get the butt?

that they got for that moment.

Speak to Andy Kaufman Jr.

I could have figured for everything
you're worth.

I'm not that kind of a guy.

When they come back, Andy Kaufman comes
out and starts this

I've wrestled every wrestler you can
think of, but my best match, my greatest

match, was not with a wrestler. It was
with a 150 -pound comedian named Andy

Kaufman. Andy's life and legacy were
honored when he took his rightful place

the WWE Hall of Fame.

I think because our brother was such a
legendary performer, I think a lot of

people may think that he got into
wrestling for the gag, for the comedy of

He got into wrestling because he was a
lifelong fan.

And he saw the beauty in this world.

And that's why he ignored all the people
who told him it was bad for his career.

He did it anyway.

Because he loved it. Just like all of
you love us.

long overdue recognition for Andy and
his lasting contributions to sports

entertainment. Thank you, Andy, for
everything.

Andy was a trailblazer who no doubt
paved the way for Vince McMahon to

the ultimate event. One that would marry
all forms of entertainment. A star

studded spectacle called WrestleMania
from the world's most famous arena,

Madison Square Garden.

And who better to help launch this epic
new venture?

Everything was on the line that night at
WrestleMania, and I knew we'd better

put on the best show we could and tear
the roof off the garden.

Mr. T giving a welcome here to the

Hulk was rolled around for the first,
and the crowd started hollering, T .T.

Then he tagged me in. Ah, now I got him,
you know.

Ah, slap across the face. And a return
slap by Mr. T.

WrestleMania wouldn't have been
WrestleMania without Mr. Timbaugh.

He got him! He got him!

I will never forget it. It was
something.

With all of his pomp and circumstances
and his hit factor, I think Mr.

T would just... as important as anybody
else in that match.

It's so cool that he did so much for
wrestling, and now he's in the Hall of

Fame.

Now, on to another celebrity who by this
point in 1998 was considered the

most controversial, notorious, and
dangerous athlete in all of sports. The

baddest man on the planet.

Talking about Iron Mike Tyson, the real
-life final boss from Punch -Out!, Mike

Tyson entered WWE in the midst of the
Attitude Era and would further fuel

explosive surge in popularity.

Ladies and gentlemen, Iron Mike Tyson!

My personal favorite celebrity
interaction, it's got to be Mike Tyson.

Mike Tyson's the baddest man on the
planet.

One of the greatest of all time.

One of the most controversial athletes
of the 20th century, Iron Mike Tyson was

the youngest and one of the most
dominant heavyweight champions in boxing

history. Mike Tyson's a brawler. He's
strong, and he just turns his whole body

into these punches, and when they land,
people go out, they go out quick.

He's wild, he's a maniac, he's crazy,
and he's got the most lethal hand in the

world.

We're in the money, not war.

We were getting beat by WPW for so long.

Vince gets a big idea to bring in Mike
Tyson into the picture. I'm a big Mike

Tyson fan.

And I said, God dang, I said, that's
badass.

WWE had some characters on a roll. They
just needed something to get those

eyeballs on.

Tyson appeared at the 1998 Royal Rumble
and on Raw the next night, where the

road to WrestleMania 14 took an
unexpected turn.

Mike Tyson is standing in Stone Cold's

Mike Tyson, he was the baddest man on
the planet.

Who's the baddest man in WWE?

Stone Cold Steve Austin.

When you step in this ring, you're

parts of the combat sports world.

I don't know him.

How good your hearing is.

But if you don't understand what I'm
saying, I always got a little bit of

loose!

Complete chaos, Mrs. Young. You ruined

I'm addicted to chaos back then, and
that's what this was, chaos, and it was

popping.

The media attention surrounding it was
absurd.

Iron Mike Tyson is back in the fight,
this time on a wrestling mat.

Every news station. It was everywhere.

Everywhere. Mike Tyson is the newest
member of D -Generation X, it appears.

That's pretty crazy to say. You know,
Mike Tyson is now part of D -Generation

In the hell can Tyson be the enforcer at
WrestleMania if he's a member of DX?

But at the same time, I feel like,
especially in Stone Cold Steve Austin's

shoes, things definitely aren't looking
good for him.

WrestleMania 14, Stone Cold Steve
Austin, Shawn Michaels, Mike Tyson, the

enforcer. That was the match that made
me want to become a wrestler.

Here's Mike Tyson in the center, but
here's our badass Stone Cold Steve

that people relate to. And here's
freaking Shawn Michaels.

We're going to hook you with everything,
but Tyson is the centerpiece.

And as it turned out, Mike Tyson's role
as the enforcer allowed for a clean

fight and a stunning conclusion.

Austin, he got it! The center!

Mike Tyson is!

Austin is the champion!

The Austin era has begun!

And a twist Shawn Michaels himself
didn't see coming.

Tyson, a right hand!

Down goes Michaels!

When he hits Shawn Michaels, we're
wondering if we're going to have to go

funeral in the next few days.

Because it looked like it killed him.

Some say that was the turning point
moment in the Monday Night Wars.

We had this plan from the beginning.

Me and him knew what we were going to
do. We were going to take this title.

You've got a guy like Iron Mike Tyson.

This is so overwhelming.

Well, I knew I'd be a Hall of Famer, but
never in wrestling. I never thought I'd

I have made a career out of disregarding
my common sense.

Johnny Knoxville is the leader, I
suppose, of Jackass?

He does crazy stunts with his friends.

Johnny Knoxville, to me, is an American
icon.

I love coming on WWE.

It's just so much fun. I feel like a
little kid backstage.

I came out and showed the great Khali
what I'm all about.

No! He's going to crush Knoxville's
noggin!

He's running jackass forever, and all of
a sudden he's talking trash with Sami

Zayn. Look at this!

Johnny Knoxville! Hi, Sammy.

Johnny Knoxville is trying to get into
the Royal Rumble, which pissed Sammy

off. You're not qualified to do this.

Just stay out of everybody's way, okay?

I thought it was a little ridiculous.

I thought he was entering into, you
know, my world. I'll admit I took that a

little personally.

And things just kind of escalated from
there.

I showed up at the premiere of his
movie.

Then somehow I got his phone number and
just let him, you know, know that he

needed to tread carefully.

Sammy Zane got my personal phone number
and was texting and stalking me all day.

So today, I am flying his phone number
over Los Angeles.

I remember his phone blowing up.

62 ,826 texts. I'm at a restaurant. Can
I just order my food?

Stop ringing!

It's kind of a traumatic little period
in my life, actually.

Knoxville is going to pay.

And they finally get to WrestleMania.

Up next, Sami Zayn in an Anything Goes
match versus Johnny Knoxville. I wanted

to know who was going to come out on
top. Was Sami Zayn going to embarrass

Johnny Knoxville? Is Johnny Knoxville
going to finally embarrass Sami Zayn?

And, of course, look who's here at
ringside. Part of the Jackass Returns

over at ringside looking on.

I knew it wasn't going to be just a
regular wrestling match.

There was going to be shenanigans and
people were going to get hurt.

And now Sammy with an exploder through
the table.

We even got to see some of the jackass
crew get involved.

How can anyone forget we man body
slamming Sammy thing?

I mean, that is whole thing moment right
there. It's like, Hey, we want to take

the jackass film.

We'll put it in a pro wrestling ring.
And we got 15 minutes to show everybody

exactly what it is.

Johnny Knoxville in control.

Johnny Knoxville held his own every step
of the way. That is a gigantic

mousetrap.

Zane is down and out. You don't want to
be there, Sam. Oh, my God.

Knoxville with the win.

I think Johnny Knoxville versus Sami
Zayn is one of the greatest WrestleMania

matches of all time. I'm not even
joking.

I loved it.

Johnny Knoxville delivered.

And Sami Zayn, the poor guy, is still
trapped.

Although highly amusing, let's hope that
Sammy has moved on from trying to out

-jackass Mr. Jackass himself.

Speaking of not knowing when to fold
him, one celebrity who has spent his

WWE at -bat trying to take out the Big
Red Monster Kane is none other than

baseball legend Pete Rose.

For reasons never quite explained, I
have an unhealthy obsession with

Pete Rose.

You gotta love Pete Rose, man.

This is one of the greatest baseball
players of all time.

Pete should be in the Hall of Fame.

Pete has 4 ,000 hits.

But you know what I know Pete Rose from?

The guy who wore the chicken suit and
got tombstoned by Kane.

I remember his first one because he's in
a town where, you know, he was a rival.

He gets on the mic and completely caught
everybody off guard.

Last time I was here, we kicked your
ass.

The city of losers.

How about it? We beat y 'all here. We
beat the Red Sox here. For this right

Oh, my God, it was so great. When he

cool to see.

For the first time ever, an undefeated

into the ring with a WWE superstar.

That's exactly what it was. That's the
best way I can describe that.

Hollywood Hogan and the bad boys of

professional wrestling.

Can you describe your reputation in the
NBA and in pop culture and why that drew

so much attention to WCW?

Dennis Rodman.

Wow, boy. I'm sure you've heard.

Dennis Rodman was a member of the
Chicago Bulls.

An entity of his own in the very best
way. He looks how he wants. He dresses

he wants.

He is the ultimate rebel.

If you look at him, you're not thinking
any other sports than WWE.

The newest member of the NWO.

You've definitely earned your colors, my
friend.

It wasn't my passion to wrestle. I think
it's more like one of those things

where just, hey, you know.

I try it. Why not? It's the perfect fit.

Rodman was complete outlaw.

Exactly what the NWO was.

I mean, they fit in perfectly like a
hand and a glove together.

Rodman was wild card.

But when the red light came on, he was
gold.

Dennis Rodman has made his case as being
a megaforce with the NWO. Bad boys

of wrestling with a bad boy of the NBA.

What a match made in heaven.

I think

fact that he blew off a practice ticket.

Tonight's show was pretty significant.

There are some things worth missing
practice for, brother.

Rodman had everything it took. I mean,
he could have been a great wrestler if

ever would have made that choice.

He was the real deal.

You can't go anywhere these days without
seeing Pat McAfee, an NFL All -Pro

punter. host of an ultra -popular
podcast, ESPN College Game Day standout,

of course, WWE announcer.

McAfee has shown he can do it all. But
it's his awe -inspiring athleticism in

the squared circle, combined with his
larger -than -life personality, that the

WWE universe just can't get enough of.

Pat McAfee.

Love Pat McAfee. First of all, he is one
of the nicest guys I've met. He's

always so lovely to me backstage.

Just a very bubbly and charismatic
person.

He just has the best vibe and he's
always bringing the energy.

He's one of the best punters in the
world.

He had the boomstick leg, had a career
that spanned nearly a decade.

with the Indianapolis Colts, and then he
went into the media and created an

empire all for himself.

He came into our world as an announcer.

So excited to be here, Charlie. Sam, the
eyebrows, bro, look immaculate as

always. Starting off in NXT and having a
couple matches there.

He became a head broadcaster on
SmackDown. Hey,

Very funny guy. He knows his stuff.

heart and it's real.

Yeah, I got nothing but admiration for
all those who came before me in the

wrestling world, for those that are in
now. And yeah,

I think it's a beautiful thing.

Pat McAfee brings the fun wherever he
goes, and we can't wait to see what's

for him.

Now, speaking of fun, our next celebrity
was one girl who just wanted to have

some. She entertained the WWE universe
time after time and always brought her

true colors. You guessed it, Miss Cyndi
Lauper. A pop star icon of the 80s,

Cyndi was one of the figureheads of the
rock and wrestling movement and...

her high -profile involvement would play
a huge, huge role in the success of the

very first WrestleMania.

The female entertainer of the year, Miss
Cyndi Lauper herself.

I think what Cyndi Lauper brought WWE
was this amazing crossover, rock and

wrestling. WWF champ and MTV guest VJ
Hulk Hogan.

I'm the incredible Hulk Hogan, the main
man in your rock wrestling connection

around MTV.

Cindy Lauper was the

Ariana Grande of her day.

I love her style. I love her hair. I
love her music.

Captain Lou Albano was in one of her
videos.

I met Lou on a plane.

The director said, oh, we'll use
gorgeous George. I said, no, no, no, no,

use Captain Lou Albano.

Woo, so fun!

Woo, woo, woo, don't get too excited.
Remember, it makes your medulla swell.

And that's when I kind of felt like, oh,
we could do something fun.

This is a badass woman who has
influenced the business that I love.

But it's also just been a cultural
phenomenon.

A lot of people said to me, Cindy, what
about acting? And I said, no.

She just always has shown her
appreciation for WWE.

Actually, when she won Best New Artist,
Hulk Hogan was right next to her.

When you add in Roddy Roddy Piper, the
unthinkable happens.

Look, and Roddy Piper's just gone
bananas!

for Hulk Hogan to take care of.

Cindy was focused on managing Wendy
Richter at WrestleMania I.

It brought in a whole wider audience and
put WWE at the forefront of pop

culture with this icon.

We taught them the bad principles.

Play her in Young Rock as we're kind of
reliving the early days of WWE and the

early days of the rock career.

Her voice, the look, she literally
embodied Cyndi Lauper.

of Hollywood.

Arnold, in recognition of your status as
the undisputed heavyweight box

office champion of the world, it is my
pleasure on behalf of WWF fans all over

the world.

to present to you this World Wrestling
Federation championship belt.

Wow! What an honor!

What a perfect collaborator to have him
come, put SmackDown on the map, have

extra eyes on a show that people were
already talking about, but he was one of

the biggest movie stars in the entire
world.

What a great welcome!

It was already surreal enough that
Arnold Schwarzenegger was on WWE

and then when he backhanded Triple H...
What are you gonna do?

He gave one of the most beautiful
spinning backfists I've ever seen anyone

throw. Shows up, like the crap out of
Hunter, and then gets a little bit of

ground -and -pound action. One of my
favorite things. I just remember almost

tears laughing so hard when he gave him
that backhand.

Triple H wasn't ready for that. Sorry,
Hunter, but you were not ready for that

beating that Arnold gave you.

It looked phenomenal.

I'm sure Triple H still feels it to this
day.

A lot of us were really marked out over
Arnold being a part of WWE stuff.

It was just really cool.

Arnold was backstage, had his kids
there, and he was asking so

do you mind if our kids get a picture
with you? You're freaking Arnold.

This is insane.

But Arnold didn't terminate his
relationship with the WWE Universe after

one visit. Well, let me tell you, it is
wonderful to be back again.

The former governor of California and
self -proclaimed fan has made several

memorable appearances over the years.

Everybody around the world knows Arnold.
Old, young, like, everybody's heard the

name, everybody knows him. It's time to
play the game.

I think it shows how big WWE actually
is, that a celebrity of that caliber

to be a part of this company and what
they do.

Arnold Schwarzenegger embodies
everything that is the celebrity wing of

Hall of Fame, whether it be his moments
with Vince McMahon or Hulk Hogan or that

time he came to SmackDown and punched me
in the face.

Or Hunter, you've just been terminated.

I think it's getting worse.

So another celebrity and entertainment
icon who proved he had legitimate

fighting chops was the host of the
legendary game show Price is Right, Mr.

Bob Barker. Who can forget when he
dropped Happy Gilmore at the Pepsi Pro

And as a guest host of Monday Night Raw
in 2009, Barker showed the world.

In Chris Jericho, that his gift of gab
was just as quick as his right jab.

On the boxers, the promoters, and the

closing my eyes, thinking to myself,

Floyd Mayweather breaks his nose and
then Big Show loses it and chases him

of the ring. If Big Show would have
caught him, I think he would have ate

It snapped Show to like a place of just
being red.

I'm going to have to document this.
Broke my nose.

And that was the start of it all leading
up to WrestleMania.

One of the most turbulent and
unbelievable roads to WrestleMania

Show and Floyd.

David versus Goliath.

The best of the best.

The Big Show outweighs Mayweather close
to 300 pounds.

Boy, it's this big. And Big Show is so
big, I mean, he's as tall as the

Big Show's had bigger lunches than
Mayweather.

He's a legitimate giant.

That big man with an 84 -inch reach.
Money, a 72 -inch reach.

Even just the visual of them standing in
the ring next to each other is a

spectacle in and of itself.

Not a better fighter in the world than
Floyd Money Mayweather.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. It's
always about pushing yourself to the

Mayweather holding on.

Despite his size, he definitely stands
his own and holds his own ground.

Have you seen how Big Show slammed me?

See, he's done.

The 441 -pounder just slamming the
greatest fighter in the world.

It was crazy, but the experience was
truly amazing.

Floyd Mayweather put some brass knuckles
on.

And whether it's a giant dude or a small
dude, if you hit them right and you're

a professional boxer that is undefeated
like Floyd Mayweather, it's going to be

a big show going down.

Floyd said, OK, bang. And I mean, it was
just it was awesome. That was just

such a cool moment for me to watch those
two worlds.

a hell of a mountain for Floyd to climb.

And he accomplished it.

I will always say this to the day I die.

world. I'm grateful.

Bad Bunny legitimately has one billion
fans.

You don't just casually like Bad Bunny.

You freaking love him.

First time WWE fans got to see Bad Bunny
was at the 2021 Royal Rumble.

There is a guy that is bringing in an
audience from all around the world. Bad

Bunny who has sold out tours already.
This is the hottest artist on planet

Earth. Not only to come in and be a
celebrity, but to actually be able to

with different stars, especially Bad
Bunny being in that situation with John

Morrison and The Miz.

And Bad Bunny definitely stood out.

And where the hell is he going?

He didn't just come in with a
microphone. He came in and was jumping

ropes and being part of this crazy world
that we live in.

I've heard of flying squirrels, but
flying bunnies?

People like to see stuff like that
because you don't see it every day.

And that's what led us to a huge tag
match at WrestleMania where we got to

Bad Bunny shock the world.

Bunny. Celebrities have a lot of
pressure on them coming in for this

all know this is a grind. And there's
just a lot of respect for what we do

because there's very few amount of
people that can do it.

Bad Bunny literally moved to Florida so
he could go to the WWE

Performance Center and train to properly
compete.

In his WrestleMania match.

That's the training right there kicking
in, guys.

When he came and he had his match, he
just like blew everyone's mind.

I couldn't say enough good things about
him.

Bad Bunny continues to hold his own in
this match. This is amazing.

He really loves this industry.

And Bunny with a bunny hop.

Oh, it's burial.

Wow. The maneuvers he pulled out with
confidence.

Oh, my God. Are you kidding me? The mids
are stunned.

I think he might have been our best
