immortal Wrestlemania. It is the biggest

event in all of sports entertainment,
featuring the biggest stars, and it only

happens once a year. With Wrestlemania
going Hollywood this year, it's the

perfect time to look back at 38 years
worth of amazing moments and matches and

all the grandeur and pageantry that
surround it.

WrestleMania is the biggest event that
WWE has.

Welcome to the most breathtaking live
event in entertainment!

The dream is to compete at WrestleMania.

The boyhood dream has come true for
Shawn Michaels!

It's like the Super Bowls, like the NBA
Finals. The FIFA World Cup, Grammys,

Oscars, Golden Globes. The World Series,
Stanley Cup.

Glit. Glamour. You name it, it is it.

The energy, the environment.

I'm getting goosebumps from it right now
just talking about it.

You don't even have to be there in
person. You can just see on TV the

that it is.

It's the biggest moment.

Career -defining wins and losses.

That is the grandest stage of them all.

My life is complete.

When I think back to WrestleMania, I was
here when it all started.

Vince had put everything that he had
into this one event called WrestleMania.

And if it bombed, the company would go
under.

It was sort of like, is this the end or
is this the beginning?

And it turned out it was the beginning
of everything.

Over the years, it just gets bigger and
bigger and bigger.

For 39 years now, stories have
culminated at WrestleMania.

It evolved into like an overall
entertainment spectacle.

This is your WrestleMania moment, Bad
Bunny.

When you say WrestleMania, everybody
knows that. Not just in this country,

over the world.

We're from Gold Island.

We travel 22 hours just to be here at
WrestleMania.

It don't get no better than that,
player.

Yeah, go, Teddy!

Sometimes in WWE, you're so laser
-focused on the mission in front of you

you lose sight of how special this thing
that you're a part of actually is.

WrestleMania forces you to stop and snap
out of it and look at the totality of

this all and look at each other and go,
man, can you believe we're doing this?

I still to this day cannot believe I
main evented WrestleMania.

I'm still walking out thinking this is
beyond belief.

I felt like I was invincible. I felt
like I was alive. I felt like I could

over the ring if I wanted to.

The bumps, the bruises, the injuries, it
all pays off when you have that

WrestleMania moment.

The goddess and the immortal.

I almost looked like I was in a trance
and a daze. And it's because I truly

couldn't believe I was standing where I
was standing.

The prodigal son has returned!

Making it onto WrestleMania is pretty
much cementing your legacy.

And that's why everyone fights so hard
for that spot.

Legacies are indeed born at
WrestleMania. It is called the grandest

reason. The biggest icons in all of
sports entertainment finally face off

settle their scores.

And in 1987, there was no more hotly
anticipated main event than the immortal

Hulk Hogan versus the undefeated eighth
wonder of the world, Andre the Giant.

Featuring a record -setting crowd of 93
,000 strong in the Pontiac Silver Dome

at WrestleMania III, it was, as the
late, great Gorilla Monsoon would say,

to be a happening.

As a kid, everybody's hero was Hulk
Hogan. You had Superman, and then you

Hulk Hogan.

You've got to think about the time
period and who these superstars were and

these characters were. The whole
community was running wild, selling out

buildings left and right.

Hogan at that point was on top of the
world, and Andre was just a spectacle.

Andre the Giant, one of the reasons why
there is another capacity crowd.

Andre the Giant is just one of the
coolest mysteries of pro wrestling.

It's like he's a myth, but he's real.

I was there live as a youngster at the
Superstars taping. Andre turned on Halt.

This is the man for 15 years that is
undefeated. Did you ever once, once in

life, offer him a championship match?
You left behind his back. No, Andre,

listen, it's not happening. Tell me it's
not so, man. Can't believe it? Maybe

you'll believe this, Hogan.

Rip this crucifix off his...

Justin. And that was huge for everyone.

What are you doing, man?

You can't leave like this, man. What are
you doing, Andre?

When Andre ripped the cross off, he had
tore the skin and Hogan was bleeding.

You're bleeding.

It's not how... Andre, come back, man.
You don't have to leave like this.

Everybody went, holy cow.

Are you...

Yeah! Leading up to the face -off
between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant,

match meant so much to people's
childhoods and lives. There hasn't been

of this magnitude ever.

He needed a match as big as possible,
and nothing was going to be bigger than

Hogan and Andre at the time.

Where I grew up, that was the first time
we could get WrestleMania on pay -per

-view at home.

When they first came on the air, and
they had this wide shot of the Pontiac

Silverdome full, like 90 -some thousand
people in there, and it was just

incredible to see that many people at
wrestling.

You're looking at the greatest
professional athlete in the world today,

world's heavyweight champion. Any other
situation, Hulk Hogan is always the

Goliath. But in this match, Hulk Hogan
is the David, Andre is the Goliath.

So to see them face to face and just
kind of the anticipation of what exactly

are we going to watch, can Hogan beat
him?

Gorilla Monsoon says it. The
irresistible force leading the immovable

It's just the perfect way to sum up what
you're looking at.

Look at the size of the giant.

I mean, Hogan is 6 '8". Not only as a
fan are you wondering, can Hogan hang in

there? Like, can he get him up? Can he
slam him in front of the entire world?

Hulk picked Andre up for the slam and
fell on top of him.

It almost looked like Andre got a three
count on him.

Was that two or was that three?

Two count only.

Ooh, that was close, gorilla.

Hogan would get beat down in the match,
and he was just the guy that you could

believe in because he was always going
to find a way to win. One more time. If

that arm drops, it's over.

Oh, look at that.

It's up there.

Listen to these pants.

The fans realized no matter what the
odds were, he was never counted out of a

fight. Look at the look on the face of
the champion.

He's hulking up.

When he got Andre up with all of his
might and got him turned over and gave

that slam.

He slammed it!

That was the slam heard around the
world. I don't believe it! Oh, dropping

leg!

Over for the cover!

It's over!

I knew that night the whole world was
watching.

WrestleMania III just launched the WWE
to a whole other level from that point

on. What can I say?

I never thought it could be done. That's
the first time in 15 years Andre the

Giant had ever been defeated.

Hulk Hogan slamming Andre, he's said it
a million times, but there's a reason

it's one of the most iconic moments and
visuals in WWE history. That's why it's

in the signature of WWE. When we start
that show, we let everyone know this

moment in time set the track for this
company right now.

History is made here in the Silverdome,
and that guy right there has made

history all over the world.

Hulkamania is running wild, brother. A
history -making main event with the

Hulkster slam of Andre the Giant
becoming a Mount Rushmore moment for

mean, how many times have we all seen
that clip? It is iconic.

But speaking of iconic Mount Rushmore
moment, let's move ahead a decade to

when a brawling blue -collar wrestler
with a gift for gab named Stone Cold

Austin would meet the excellence of
execution, Bret the Hitman Hart, at

WrestleMania 13.

It was a grueling submission match with
an iconic moment itself that changed the

landscape of sports entertainment
forever.

Let me make myself clear.

If you put the letter S in front of
Hitman, you've had my exact opinion of

Hart.

The rivalry between Bret Hart and Steve
Austin, that is WrestleMania.

Guys like Bret Hart and Stone Cold, they
do emotion.

And that's what really draws people in.
People remember emotion.

I've been screwed by Stone Cold, Steve
Austin.

Bret Hart eliminated Stone Cold and
neither referee saw it.

You look at both of them. Prototype good
guy in Bret the Hitman Hart.

Prototype bad guy in Stone Cold Steve
Austin.

But you felt like something was
changing.

Frustrated into the damn word for it.

This is bull.

The heated rivalry between Hart and
Austin would culminate at WrestleMania

In a submission match.

A submission match is not my kind of
match.

Do I know a whole lot of wrestling
holds? Hell no, I don't. But I'll beat

hell out of you till you do say I quit.

The WrestleMania 13 submission match may
be one of the greatest wrestling

matches of all time.

I think a lot of it has to do with the
audience and the part that they were

playing. Stone Cold Steve Austin getting
quite a positive response from this

capacity crowd.

It was an interesting reaction because
there was a lot of cheers, there were

some boos.

Brett Hart, a mixed reaction.

Brett was one of these great champions,
but he represented the old guard.

The very first thing that happened,
it's... Over Stone Cold's shoulder,

walking towards him because Brett ain't
going to back down from anybody.

Look out, here we go!

And Austin just tackles him, and they
just start throwing punches. And that's

how the match started.

And all hell is breaking loose here
between Austin and the Hitman.

This is a war in WrestleMania 11!

But no, that match was nuts.

It was just like those two, whatever
they did was magic.

This is brutal. A vicious fire match.

WrestleMania 13 with Steve Austin, going
to get the chair, it's going to blow

the roof and blow the minds of all the
wrestling fans.

Bret Hart now is like an animal, out of
control.

He's like a shark, he smells that blood,
he's going right, look at that.

That night was Bret not stopping. It
charged all kinds of feelings in me.

Shark Teeter, he's got it on!

Just such a huge moment of determination
not to give up that we love Stone Cold

for.

Stone Cold is passing out in a pool of
his own blood. The drama and the

investment of emotion in watching Stone
Cold just hanging on there.

Austin will not surrender.

He will not submit.

Just the impact of the blood dripping on
the mat, Steve trying to push his way

out of it. The visual of that, I knew
that it was going to be special.

Ken Shamrock stopping it, stopping it
right now.

Austin never gave up, but he passed out
with a pain.

That single moment shifted everything.

Maybe for Tim and Art, maybe he's not
that good of a guy.

The match at WrestleMania 13, it kind of
was the birth of what Stone Cold Steve

Austin would turn into.

The fans' eyes opened. This guy kind of
just earned my respect.

He's going to walk out of here on his
own.

That match was such an important...

Yvette, in my career, and I was just
thinking, man, listening to the crowd

what was going on, it was one of the
greatest moments of my life.

Beaten but not defeated.

That unforgettable image of Steve Austin
with the crimson mask personified the

rattlesnake's no -quit attitude. Want
him to love and respect of the crowd and

stole the show.

The power of a show -stealing match at
WrestleMania. A match that immortalizes

you in the eyes of the WWE Universe.

And at WrestleMania 17, Edge and
Christian, the Hardys, and the Dudleys

match called TLC2 with one goal in mind.

Steal the show.

And boy, did they deliver.

TLC2, we got Dudley boys, we got them.

Hardy Boys, and we have Edge and
Christian.

You've seen what they do, you know, on a
day -to -day basis, let alone it being

at WrestleMania.

You know what you're going to get.

The six guys have the same goal, which
is to have the match that everyone's

talking about on what might be the most
stacked WrestleMania of all time.

When the main event, by the way, is
Stone Cold Steve Austin versus The Rock.

And we all felt like we could top it.

Three tag teams embroiled in arguably
the greatest rivalry in tag team

Table ladders and chairs in SummerSlam.
It's coming back. It's TLC2. Tag team

titles on the line at WrestleMania.

Unbelievable. TLC number two.

The Dudleys defend the tag team titles
against the Hardy Boys and Edge and

Christian. This match is as dangerous.

As you will ever, ever see.

When those guys went out there, they
changed records.

And here we go.

Those boys put their bodies through
hell.

The Hardys off the ladders.

They're great.

That's the best way of explaining it.

Wait a minute. What's Jeff Hardy going
to do here?

He's not to be even tried. What is Jeff
Hardy thinking?

I strive to do something that's going to
blow people's mind and actually put my

own body on the line.

I remember having a conversation with
Jeff once.

I just looked at him straight in the eye
and said, you're not afraid to die, are

you, Jeff?

He went, no, why?

Matt Hardy and Bubba Ray Dudley.

It's Rhino! It's Rhino!

And Bubba Ray and Jeff Luthor are evil!

I thought both of them were done. I
thought they were broken into pieces.

There's just a cartoonish amount of
violence that was happening where just

nothing was off limits.

Only one way to win, and that's to
retrieve the tag team title belt.

How much more can any of these three
teams handle? How much can they take?

And Jeff now losing his balance, hanging
from the top, trying to get back under

that ladder with Bubba Ray Dudley.

I remember during the match kind of
thinking,

I don't know if the crowd was there. And
then in watching it back, realizing,

no, the crowd was actually going pretty
bananas.

Couldn't raise the bar anymore. They did
it.

Our goal was to steal the show, and we
thought we had all the chess pieces to

able to do it.

Devon Dudley, close to the top of the
ladder.

They got him! They got him!

That's over!

We knew that was it. We can never top
this. And I'll tell you, we stole the

show. We were proud of it.

That match really set up the idea.

what tag team wrestling could really be
when the spotlight was focused on it.

Having so many more minds, so many more
bodies, so many more characters in the

ring at one time gives you the chance to
create such a more intricate story.

And that's exactly the kind of carnage
that we saw in TLC, too.

Carnage is right.

The Hardys, the Dudleys, and Edging
Christian revolutionized tag team

that night with a match so wild that it
still hasn't been topped after all these

years. Now, from pure adrenaline to pure
spectacle, Hulk Hogan

and The Rock are no stranger to iconic
main event matches at WrestleMania,

competing with the biggest names in the
history of sports entertainment, and in

the process, becoming the respective...
faces of their eras. Now, fans for years

fantasized what would happen if Hulk
Hogan went one -on -one with The Rock at

WrestleMania. It was a dream match, one
that would turn into reality in 2002 at

WrestleMania 18.

Well, Hulk Hogan, The Rock says, how do
you feel about headlining one more

WrestleMania with The Rock?

Oh, my God!

Yeah.

The Rock taking on Hulk Hogan. It was
very much a definition of a dream match,

and the people knew it.

You've got the future of the business,
The Rock, the past Hulk Hogan, icon

versus icon.

Wrestling's past, wrestling's future.

Hogan and The Rock, it was just the top
guys going at it in different eras and

different ages.

A match for the ages, The Rock and Hogan
at WrestleMania.

We knew it was going to be a big match,
but I don't think anybody realized it

was going to be one of the WrestleMania
classic matches that there would ever

be.

This is WrestleMania, baby!

The following contest is scheduled for
one fall.

A match that the world thought would
never, ever happen.

There's few times in our industry where
it feels bigger than a prize, like

bigger than Ali Frazier. It had that
kind of a feel to it.

And look at the flashball.

This is a WrestleMania moment.

A lot of people had the impression that
Rock was going to get cheered.

And Hogan booed, and it did not go like
that.

Look at the power! The power of those
pythons!

You could feel the audio. The
electricity from the crowd made it above

beyond what anyone could have expected.

Certainly a nostalgic feel here for
Hogan.

A bunch of Hulkamaniacs screaming.

We had the people behind the rock.

Every move, every time either of the two
superstars move a muscle, the

crowd reacts to it.

He is poised. He is coiled.

There's a rock bottom. Rock hits a
freaking vicious rock bottom.

The hook of the leg. Is this the hook of
the tip top?

Huge kick out, Rock going like this, you
can't believe it. And then Pogos starts

bringing the energy up.

Is he going to hulk up, JR?

He is!

Rock cannot believe it. The roar from
that crowd as he got up and started

hulking out, that was one of the
loudest, most sustained roars that I've

seen. What you gonna do, Rock?

In a match like that, the fans made
that, you couldn't fail.

Here are the fans on their feet.

Here's Skydoll.

It's a magical match.

Team up to let your band move.

People down low.

On Hulk Hogan.

That was a match for the ages.

It was the passing of the torch. It
ended up being, in my opinion, the best

match of the night.

Emotional ride!

What an epic match!

With that reaction, I've never, ever
been in the ring with anybody better.

It was a cool moment The Rock had with
Hulk.

Even though The Rock won, it was still
cool. They ended up, like, respecting

each other after.

Never quite experienced anything like
that before or since.

That's one of those rare moments in
history where something was so big that

everybody remembers where they were.

When it happens.

So true, Sammy. I was 18, sitting on the
Antler House couch at Mizzou, totally

transfixed by this storyline.

It was an instant classic, and it was
exactly what all of us wanted in an icon

versus icon match.

It is in the conversation for the
greatest WrestleMania match of all time.

But then...

The Undertaker comes in and says, hold
my beer.

In 2009, the Deadman, The Undertaker,
would meet the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn

Michaels, in a match for the first time
in over 12 years.

Now, in that time, each had become a
legend in their own right, making this

meeting extra special.

Now, the Phenom 16 -0 WrestleMania
winning streak was on the line, and the

Heartbreak Kid was determined to end it.

WrestleMania 25.

Mr. WrestleMania, Shawn Michaels, The
Undertaker. The story was built in for

their entire careers.

Back and forth, always at the top of
their game. And now they got to go head

head, toe to toe, one on one, at the
biggest stage of them all.

Shawn Michaels descending from the
heavens all dressed in heavenly white

had Undertaker rising from the depths
dressed in black.

It was just like good versus evil.

Two unique parallels that will come
together in this very ring in front of

The Undertaker began the 16 -0 winning
streak at WrestleMania VII.

I don't know how he does it, but Shawn
Michaels doesn't appear to be

at all.

I remember the match being about as
perfect a match as I've ever seen in my

life. Remember, The Undertaker has never
defeated Shawn Michaels in a one -on

-one contest.

On that night, as deep into their career
as they both were, Shawn Michaels and

The Undertaker put on a masterclass.

That match literally made me a fan
again. And when you can take someone

wrestling and make them a fan again,
that's when you know you're doing

special.

The chemistry he and I had, it was just
magic being in there with him. Just

so many moments in that match when The
Undertaker dove over the top rope.

I,

like many others, thought, oh, that's
it. The match is over. And it wasn't

halfway done at that point.

A count of nine.

And Undertaker made it back. The
streak's alive.

The story was so good and intermeshed.
Tune up the band, perhaps.

Undertaker. Oh, no.

Show him with authority.

Feel the electricity.

He felt it. I felt it. Everybody in the
building felt it.

Oh, my God.

Look at this. Michael's caught.

Try to hang on.

Sona's caught.

Two stone.

Two stone.

And a kick out. I am not believing this.

I just had an out -of -body experience.

I remember saying, I'm having an out -of
-body experience.

Because I thought I was.

You believed that Sean could do it.

I think he's going to try to go up top.

You were just captivated. They really
had you with every single second of it.

Michael's elbow hip.

Sweet tip music!

We thought we had seen the best of Shawn
Michaels, and we thought we had seen

the best of The Undertaker.

And on that night, those two men proved
us wrong.

Then tell me!

Michael's in midair! Michael's caught!

Michael's caught!

Tombstone!

He did it!

17 -0!

17 -0!

It was a beautiful work of art. One of
the greatest matches of all time.

Storytelling is what we do, but it's
storytelling at its finest.

The dead man refused to lose at
WrestleMania and tombstoned his way to

17 and all.

I knew that we had just finished
something that was going to be so

would last through the annals of time in
our industry.

As a wrestling fan, how could you ask
for anything more?

You really can't ask for anything more.
It was arguably the greatest match in

WWE history, made even better by a
totally hyped crowd who knew they were

witnessing something special that night
in Houston, Texas.

Now, a couple of years later in the lead
-up to WrestleMania 28, another pair of

larger -than -life legends were set to
face off on the grandest stage of them

all. Echoing the phenomenal Rock -Hogan
match just 10 years prior, a dream match

once thought not possible was about to
become once in a lifetime.

The Rock says we make the biggest
matchup of all time!

WrestleMania 28, John Cena versus The
Rock.

Never before has the main event at
WrestleMania been set one year out.

You think of John Cena, you think of The
Rock. That's, like, larger than life.

It is the match the world wanted.

A once -in -a -lifetime matchup. The two
most complete wrestlers from different

generations. It was definitely crazy to
see The Rock come back for one more

match, especially against John Cena.

Every single week you were tuning in
just to see what these two men would say

each other, and it got feisty.

The Rock is going to take his size 15
boot and stick it right up Cena's lady

part. Oh, John Cena may not like this.

He's toasting him on the mic, but you
can never count out John, man. John came

back and hit him with a couple good
lines himself.

I don't have balls, but I got something
in their place.

I'm going to beat your ass at
WrestleMania and put my nuts dead in

The war of words between Cena and The
Rock would spill onto social media,

creating one of the most talked about
rivalries in WWE history.

It definitely blurred the line between
what we thought we knew and what we

didn't know. The Rock just doesn't like
you.

When the millions see John Cena versus
The Rock, John Cena is going to be

up Dwayne Johnson.

And I don't like Dwayne Johnson.

In six days, The Rock is going to give
you the ass kicking of a lifetime.

I'll be the guy with my hand raised
high, standing over your carcass, and

headline reads, what I predicted, John
Cena whips The Rock's ass at

WrestleMania.

Welcome to entertainment's greatest live
event.

Welcome to the emotion.

To the passion, to the pageantry, to the
history that is

WrestleMania.

Two faces of their generations, two
icons in their prime.

You weren't quite sure which one you
wanted to win. You were rooting for The

Rock, you were rooting for John Cena.

You really didn't know.

The Rock did it! The Rock did it! The
Rock did it! Cena kicked out!

It was just pure entertainment.

These two titans go at it on that
granite stage in the mall.

It doesn't get any bigger.

Rock body! John Cena with an
unbelievable show of strength!

I can't believe it! The AA!

He got him. Nina got him. Nina got him.
Oh, Rock kicked out again.

How did Rock kick out of that? Who
knows?

This is great. This is awesome.

He had the Rock kind of down and out. He
wanted to show go and get a little bit

cocky and it backfired.

Oh, boy.

What?

Oh, John.

And there's the Rock.

The Rock has beaten John Cena!

The Rock! From out of nowhere!

He does it! He solidifies himself as the
Great One!

Cena had him! John Cena had him! I
thought he had him.

It's really a special match because
things like that don't happen often, but

when they do, they happen at
WrestleMania.

Two men in their physical prime going
the distance in a match still talked

today. It was a highly anticipated dream
match, which happened to live up to and

ultimately surpass the hype.

Two years later, another WrestleMania
match would achieve the platinum trophy,

though this one was for being the most
shocking and heartbreaking, as The

Undertaker took his coveted 21 -0
WrestleMania undefeated streak into New

Orleans. To face the beast incarnate
himself, Brock Lesnar.

So when you think of WrestleMania, you
think of The Undertaker.

You are looking at the most incredible
performer in WrestleMania history.

WrestleMania is just, I mean, that's it.
I mean, that's the creme de la creme in

our industry.

And for me, it's big time. I mean, it
is.

Stop this guy.

The streak goes hand in hand with
WrestleMania.

He's never lost at WrestleMania.

To me, it was more important than any
title match that was on the show.

He's 10 -0.

Who would have thought that one man
could make so many WrestleManias to make

that happen?

He's walking out like he walked in
undefeated.

You never thought it was going to end?

That was his thing?

Year after year after year. And then
WrestleMania 30. Space and Brock Lesnar.

This match is simply about one thing,
the 21 -0 undefeated streak.

If there was one person on God's green
earth that could have ended the streak,

it would have been Brock Lesnar.

The baked incarnate.

Everyone knew how strong, how dangerous
Brock Lesnar is.

He's one of the greatest UFC champions
of all time, one of the greatest WWE

champions of all time, one of the
greatest combat sport athlete probably

time. But still, that's The Undertaker
at WrestleMania.

Oh, look at Undertaker!

Seeing these guys go at it, you don't
really know which way the match is going

to go.

Here we go again.

Undertaker's going to do it. He's going
to rally.

I've just got kicked in the gut.

I honestly thought I'd never see it.

The Undertaker's mortal.

I was just staring at the TV like, no,
they didn't reverse the call.

I mean, something that you never thought
would happen, happened.

The winner of this match, Brock Lesnar!

Really? I couldn't believe it. I
couldn't believe it. You know, I'm one

guys.

Then as soon as the one popped up, like,
on the screen, everybody gasped.

My eyes got about that big. I said,
holy,

the streak is done.

I'm afraid I've worn out my welcome in
this town.

Never gonna see you again.

I can't even begin to imagine what's
going through the mind of The Undertaker

right now.

When I look back at all the

Seven. And he tipped over a ring, if you
remember.

Anyways. In fact, the Beast was in the
midst of battling Roman Reigns for a

title just one year later at
WrestleMania 31, setting the table for a

one saw coming.

Lesnar, WWE title on the line, Battle of

the Behemoths.

So here we go. Wow.

Absolutely incredible.

Brock and Roman was out there paying
each other limb from limb.

The Roman is battered.

Brock Lesnar is beat.

Both men are down.

They are out.

They are struggling.

And then, of course, out of nowhere.

We hear Seth's music and he's just on a
full sprint with that briefcase.

This is brilliant.

I don't think I've ever ran so fast in
my life down that thing like Usain Bolt.

What the hell? Are you kidding me?

Seth Rollins, Mr.

Money in the Bank. Cash is in.

Ladies and gentlemen, Seth Rollins. is
catching in his money in the bank.

This Roman Reigns Brock Lesnar match now
becomes a triple threat.

What? What the hell?

Seth is going to finish him.

Lesnar picked him out of the air.

Reigns with a spear.

I think it's probably the greatest cash
-in of all time.

It certainly was the most shocking.

First time in WrestleMania history
someone's casting money in the bank and

walking out the WWE World Heavyweight
Champion!

The reaction was beyond anything I can
even describe with words. You could not

write a better moment.

Rollins with the heist of the century!

One of the best lines that I've ever
heard, one of his best WrestleMania

of all time.

Seth Rollins is the WWE World
Heavyweight Champion!

I cannot believe my eyes!

Halfway up that ramp, swinging the title
above his head, as if to tell the

world, I've arrived, and I've done it in
the biggest way humanly possible.

waiting until Lesnar and Reigns were
utterly spent was ruthless, brilliant,

without a doubt, one of the most
thrilling conclusions to any

history. Now, the ending to this next
Mania moment could only be described as

storybook. After more than a decade of
overcoming every roadblock in his way,

Kofi Kingston's time had finally arrived
at WrestleMania 35.

ready to unleash Kofi Mania and make
very special history.

Eleven years, man.

You have never allowed me to compete or
contend for the WWE title.

Ever since I was a kid, I had always
pictured myself wrestling at

for the WWE Championship.

After all these years, we somehow have
forgotten who Kofi Kingston is, how good

he is.

Kofi participated in a gauntlet match on
SmackDown. Are we seeing the best Kofi

Kingston of his career?

Every fan left that show going, Kofi
needs to be in the

title match at WrestleMania.

I go on to Twitter, and my whole Twitter
page is blown up.

The support was legitimately
overwhelming.

Kofi Mania was a big thing, and it was
growing, growing fast.

There was nothing you could do to derail
that momentum.

Kofi Mania is running wild!

It felt like, at that time, literally
the whole world got behind him.

Kofi Kingston got to WrestleMania by the
will of the people.

Against all odds, Kofi Kingston earned a
one -on -one opportunity for the WWE

Championship.

It wasn't just me on this 11 -year
journey. It was everybody.

It was all about us coming together and
supporting Kofi.

It's one thing for Kofi to have this
opportunity at WrestleMania.

It's another thing for him to win the
match.

Gentlemen, the road has been long, but
we are finally here for Kofi Kingston,

the biggest night of his career.

It is something that we all wanted, but
is it really going to happen? Can he

really pull it off?

When I was watching it, I feel like Kofi
had to win.

There's the knee.

Good night, Kofi. Goodbye, WrestleMania.

Kofi's still got life.

Trouble in paradise.

Kofi did it! Kofi is champion!

11 long years!

Kofi Kingston!

He's done it, man!

Time honestly, like, stopped for a
second. And I just couldn't believe that

actually happened.

Finally see him kind of get that well
-deserved WWE title.

Those are the moments that you can't
really create. They just happen.

Everyone was so just simultaneously
happy for one person.

No matter where you come from, no matter
what you look like, if you believe, you

can make it happen.

Stu's the first African -born WWE
champion.

Let's go.

There's something to be said about
representation and knowing that someone

relatable to you. And I think that Kofi
winning that night changed the lives of

a lot of young people because now they
can see I can do this too.

What a proud moment for a proud man.

Like me winning a match, the fact that
that can invoke so much positive emotion

from people, it's just awesome.

The victory, emotional and overwhelming
as it was, was incredible.

But the aftermath was just as monumental
as Kofi's win provided hope and

inspiration for millions of people
around the globe. But it turned out that

WrestleMania 35 wasn't done making
special history, as women for the first

ever would grace the main event stage on
the biggest show of them all.

35 years in the making, the triple
threat of Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and

Charlotte Flair would forever shatter
wrestling glass ceiling.

For the first time ever, a woman's match
will main event WrestleMania.

I don't know that I could think of three
better women to main event WrestleMania

for the first time ever.

The work that was put into it was so
much so that it wasn't a token gesture.

There was no other option for the main
event for WrestleMania.

They picked the perfect people to do it.
An undefeated Ronda Rousey.

Charlotte, when it counts, she always
shows up. Becky is hitting on all

cylinders. Perfect combination.

These three women now look to beat the
hell out of each other. Everything that

led up to it, it was just so exciting,
so fresh, and so meaningful.

They earned that main event, you know
what I'm saying? Rhonda, Charlotte, and

Becky all, like, put in the work.

The grandeur and the spectacle of all.
Even in the entrances, we had Charlotte

Flair arriving by helicopter, Joan Jett,
a living legend playing out Rhonda.

And it just really gave the whole thing
the electricity that it deserved.

I started to get laser focus. But I
remember hearing the crowd. I could

definitely hear the crowd.

Three of the top superstars in all of
WWE with both championships on the line.

Look at how flippant the baddest woman
on the planet is.

And Becky Wright. Oh, my God.

That was right where I belonged.

I didn't feel out of place.

If there was going to be a woman who was
going to meet him at WrestleMania, it

was going to be me.

You can hear both superstars breathing
heavily, exhaustion beginning to play a

factor. Oh, my God!

That's got to be it for the
championship!

Becky kicks it, too!

To see the fans on the edge of their
seats was very special, and it's just a

moment that we could all look back at.
Beck's floater!

They really went out there, and they
left.

Everything that they had in that ring.

Oh, Rousey just paid out Becky.

Down goes the man.

Rousey is about to take it all.

Piper's pit.

Becky. Shoulders down.

She did it. Becky Lynch.

Becky Lynch is the winner. Take all and
is both.

Raw.

SmackDown Women's Champion!

They should cherish that moment for the
rest of their life.

They really made history that night.

Becky Lynch is Raw and SmackDown Women's
Champion.

Seeing Becky lift those two belts was
just a culmination of all the hard work

that she put into things.

To be able to stand there, hold up them
championship.

The main history is the first women's
main event WrestleMania.

There's nothing with the feeling like
it.

Becky Lynch takes it all tonight.

That was such an important match and at
such a grand stage too.

These women are trailblazing. They're
paving the way, hopefully for the rest

us, to be able to have these
opportunities, have those moments.

And what a moment it was.

Gone are the days of gimmick matches for
the women's division, and here to stay

are the dominant performances of women
who have proven they belong atop the

marquee. So, to round out our most
awesome WrestleMania matches in history,

it's going to be a banger.

In the history of WrestleMania, there
has never been a match like this. The

biggest WrestleMania match of all time.
Winner take all.

Championship unification.

WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.

versus the record -setting universal
champion, Roman Reigns, something has to

give.

WrestleMania 38, Brock Lesnar versus
Roman Reigns, has been the biggest

WrestleMania of all time, and that's
truly what it was. We had these two

absolute goliaths fighting for those
titles, seeing who really was the king

the mountain, and it was just awesome.

This is the biggest WrestleMania match
of all time, and maybe the biggest match

in the history of WWE.

You label anything, the biggest
WrestleMania match of all time, it has

delivered. Those are two big dudes going
head -to -head, and you know chaos is

going to ensue.

This is what the business is all about.

A heavyweight class with the highest of
stakes.

The beast has been unleashed.

Seeing those gigantic dudes clashing,
and you feel the impact.

You know there's going to be barricades
breaking.

You know there's going to be a fight.

It's always a huge match feel because
it's the biggest show of

the year. And those are two of the most
dominant competitors that the company

has ever seen.

So to have them locking horns and going
at it in a match that's so important is

a really big deal.

God mode has been activated.

There was no way to predict who was
going to walk out the winner. The second

Superman punch.

I'm the greatest of all time.

Spear. And this could be it.

Oh, Kamara Lock. Rob's going to break
the Universal Champion's arm. The WWE

Universe on their feet witnessing the
spectacle that is winner take all.

I really hope.

That I could captivate a crowd like they
are in this match right now. Because it

was art.

It really was art.

Brock Lesnar lifts him up on the
shoulders. Roman Reigns from behind.

And Reigns with another spear.

It's survival mode. Cover for the win.

He got it.

Brock Lesnar was such a beast.

Roman Reigns was the end all be all. The
head of the table.

To be walking away from probably one of
the hardest -hitting matches that I've

ever watched as double champion, there's
no greater than that.

I remember Roman Reigns. His arm was
very severely damaged. Roman's arm is

He pulled Roman Reigns' shoulder out of
joint. And he fought through that,

obviously, to beat Brock Lesnar. And I
think that lasting image of him fighting

through the pain to finally raise both
titles and end WrestleMania as champion.

That is the perfect story of that match.

Roman Reigns is now the WWE Universal
Champion.

Undisputed. He really cemented his
legacy that night.

He showed everyone exactly who he is and
exactly what he is capable of.

If that doesn't cream head of the table,
then I don't know what does.

I acknowledge you, my tribal chief.

I acknowledge you.

With that win, Reigns unified the titles
and became the undisputed face of WWE.

He is truly a spectacle, and it remains
to be seen who, if anyone, can dethrone

him from the head of the table.

Will this year be an extension of that
unrivaled dominance, or will Reigns

succumb to the American nightmare?
