[The Journey of Legend]

[Episode 14]

Bad news! Bad news!

Bad news!

Zuoqiu and Yuhan are fighting.

We can't stop them.

Yiren, please go check it out!

This way!

Wait.

Yiren!

W-What's happening?

Go find Zuoqiu and Yuhan.

Miss Tang.

Xiao Qiushui.

You dare play such tricks right under my nose?

At this critical moment,

do you still want to fight for the Young Leadership?

Yiren, that's not what I meant.

Please don't misunderstand.

Misunderstand what?

You think just because you have the token,

the disciples of Huanhua Sect will obey you?

Let me tell you,

the Tiger Guards have always been under my command.

They've been through thick and thin with me.

You think a mere Sect Leader's Token

will make them respect you?

Yiren,

I'm well aware of your authority in the Xiao family.

I don't care

about the Young Leadership position.

But when it comes to saving Sword Manor,

you must listen to me.

Give me the Sect Leader's Token right now.

After I save our parents,

I'll return it to you immediately.

Even if it's just for a day,

or half a day, please!

-Qiushui. -What?

I shouldn't be scolding you

nor do I have the right to.

But Yiren has been

working tirelessly for your sake.

He finally cleaned up your mess

to persuade Mr. Qu to help the Sword Manor.

At this time,

why are you fighting for the Young Leadership?

Can you face your parents

and the Xiao family?

What?

Qu Hanshan wants to save Sword Manor?

Yiren,

he's from the Power Gang.

Don't be fooled by him.

Enough.

Right now, we need his help.

Don't make things worse.

I've been in the martial world for years.

If he had any suspicious behavior,

I would have noticed.

If he's really guilty,

we can confront him face to face that day.

No way.

No way!

Move.

Hey...

Qu Hanshan wants nothing more than to silence Xiao Qiushui.

How can we send him into the tiger's den?

That's right.

Yiren, let me ask you.

Since he's already exposed,

why is he putting on this show?

He clearly wants to kill me!

Don't worry. I'll protect you that day.

Besides, other sects

will be there as witnesses.

With so many people present,

why fear him?

If he really has something to hide,

we can seize the opportunity when it comes.

In short, this matter is settled.

Everything is set and ready.

Don't cause any more trouble.

Yiren,

it doesn't matter

if you don't believe me or the others.

But let me ask you.

You should believe

Mr. Du Yueshan,

the Mengxiang Sect Leader, right?

Qu Hanshan imprisoned Mr. Du for years.

We just rescued him from the dungeon.

If Du Yueshan can testify against Qu Hanshan,

then you should at least listen, shouldn't you?

What? Mr. Qu imprisoned Mr. Du?

What kind of rumor is this?

Qiushui.

You said the Free-Spirited Sage was killed,

yet they appeared at Bishan Sect.

Now you're changing your story to Mr. Du.

Qiushui, please stop messing around.

I'm really not messing around.

Why don't any of you believe what I say?

Wait here.

I'll bring Mr. Du.

We'll go too.

Yiren!

Let's see what troubles you can stir up.

Qiushui.

Yiren.

Yiren!

Keep an eye on him for me.

Yes.

Yiren!

Yiren!

Yiren!

[Top Fairness Forest]

Here, please have some tea.

Please.

Come, please.

Mr. Qu.

Chief Sikong.

[Master Xiao of Yanzi Sect] [Sikong Xue, Chief of Tiancan Gang]

Master Xiao.

Master Ge.

Miss Weng.

[Master Ge of Divine Blade Hall] [Weng Yueying of Bishan Sect]

These people behind you are...

These five are the Five Tigers of Guangling.

The other friends from the martial world

are also renowned masters

from the Guangling region.

Since today,

all fellow martial artists have gathered here,

I, Xiao, will speak frankly.

Today, I've come,

first, to bring my younger brother

to apologize to Mr. Qu.

We hope to resolve our previous misunderstanding.

Second, I hope everyone

can come to the aid of the Huanhua Sect.

As they say, all righteous sects

are branches of the same tree.

For your generous assistance,

the Xiao family will surely repay you in the future.

Qiushui.

Hurry and apologize to Mr. Qu.

Wait.

It's not that I can't help the Xiao family.

But some matters must be settled first.

Today, I've invited fellow martial artists to Top Fairness Forest

in hopes that everyone can be witnesses.

I am someone

who never dwells on personal gains or losses.

But if certain people

commit acts against the martial world's principles,

I will not let them off easily.

So, what I'm about to say

is nothing personal against Young Master Xiao.

Do you all believe me?

Mr. Qu is a master of both skill and virtue,

always fair and upright,

renowned throughout the land.

We certainly believe you.

-Please speak freely, Mr. Qu. -Please speak freely, Mr. Qu.

Xiao Qiushui, tell me.

Why did you collude with Northern Wasteland spies,

betraying the martial world of Daxi?

Mr. Qu, what makes you say this?

You should ask him.

He not only broke into my residence and slandered me,

but also conspired with accomplices

to rescue a Northern Wasteland spy from the dungeon.

Qu Hanshan.

All the way here, I've been wondering

what you'd do to me if I exposed your identity

as a Power Gang lackey.

Turns out

you want to frame me with the false accusation

of colluding with the Northern Wasteland.

Your so-called fairness

truly turns lies into facts.

Everyone,

in the secret dungeon of Qu's residence,

I witnessed with my own eyes

that Qu Hanshan

had imprisoned and tortured Mr. Du Yueshan.

He failed to get the Mengxiang Sword Technique,

and now, he falsely accuses Mr. Du of being a Northern Wasteland spy.

You really should give Mr. Du

and the martial world a fair explanation!

Xiao Qiushui, don't spread baseless rumors.

Everyone knows

Mr. Qu and Du Yueshan are close friends.

He would never do such a thing.

Because his true identity

is the Sword King of the Power Gang!

Mr. Gu Junshan

was killed by you in your courtyard.

So today, I must expose your true nature.

Qiushui, stop talking nonsense.

I've told you

Mr. Gu is alive and well.

Gu didn't visit today,

and I would never imprison Du.

Only one person has been imprisoned in the Qu Residence dungeon.

That person was a subordinate of the Northern Wasteland King Helian Yan,

Yuchi Qing.

I, along with Miss Weng from Bishan Sect

and the Master of Divine Blade Hall captured him together.

We tried to extract

information about the Northern Wasteland traitor's plans.

But unexpectedly, you freed him.

You're lying!

Mr. Du Yueshan...

Mr. Du Yueshan was tortured terribly!

Before he escaped,

he taught me the Mengxiang Sword Technique.

If you just wait,

my friends

will bring Mr. Du Yueshan here

to confront him!

Mr. Qu and I

did indeed capture Yuchi Qing together.

But to say Xiao Qiushui set him free,

there's no real evidence.

Mr. Qu, there must be a misunderstanding.

Qiushui's temperament is indeed somewhat mischievous,

but he would never release a Northern Wasteland spy.

Seeing you speak with such conviction,

even I almost believe you.

However, unfortunately,

facts speak louder than words.

At the place where Yuchi Qing escaped,

I clearly saw the mark

of the Eight-Directions Thunder Slash technique.

Xiao Qiushui, I'd like to ask you.

Did you really learn the Mengxiang Sword Technique

or was it Yuchi Qing's signature move,

the Thirteen Blood-Drinking Saber?

You're truly despicable.

Master Ge.

The Divine Blade Hall has also received guidance from Mr. Du.

Let me see for myself

your so-called Mengxiang Sword Technique.

Qiushui, prove it to me then.

I recognize Master Ge's technique.

It's Mr. Du's Mengxiang Sword Technique.

He's just adapted the sword skill for the saber.

Brilliant!

But what Young Master Xiao is using

is not the Mengxiang Sword Technique.

Xiao Qiushui's technique feels more like saber skills

than sword skills.

Qiushui is clearly using saber skills,

not sword skills.

Master Ge.

Master Ge, are you alright?

Qiushui is so powerful.

What an impressive Eight-Directions Thunder Slash!

Xiao Qiushui,

what you used wasn't Mengxiang Sword Technique at all.

It was clearly Yuchi Qing's Thirteen Blood-Drinking Saber!

That's right. I recognized it too.

His final move

was the killing technique of the Thirteen Blood-Drinking Saber,

the Eight-Directions Thunder Slash.

Impossible.

Have you all conspired together?

Words can lie,

but martial arts cannot.

I once fought with Yuchi Qing

and I would recognize his style no matter what.

This is the mark

that the Eight-Directions Thunder Slash left on my body.

Xiao Yiren.

Weren't you there with your father, Xiao Xilou,

when I was seriously injured by Yuchi Qing?

Don't you recognize it?

Yiren?

That's right.

It was indeed the Thirteen Blood-Drinking Saber.

How could this be?

Xiao Qiushui.

Your brother has no reason to lie to you.

What else do you have to say?

You falsely accused Mr. Qu of being from the Power Gang,

when you're the real traitor!

Qu Hanshan had set this trap

for me long ago.

Everyone,

if someone

in your sect learned

unorthodox martial arts,

how would you deal with them?

Naturally, we would sever their tendons

and forbid them from practicing martial arts for life.

No!

Even if he learned such techniques by mistake,

it wasn't intentional.

How can we punish him so severely?

Qu Hanshan.

You are truly cunning.

Even if I know this saber skill,

I've done nothing wrong,

and I've never harmed anyone.

If you want to destroy my martial arts,

why go to such lengths?

Enough. Don't speak now.

Everyone,

Qiushui must have been deceived by villains

and led astray.

Even if he just used Northern Wasteland techniques,

he should be punished,

but I guarantee

he didn't do it intentionally.

Since your brother arrived,

not a single truthful word has come from his mouth,

yet you still defend him.

Xiao Yiren, are you too involved to see the truth,

deceived by your brother?

Or is it that your Xiao family

has always had unclear ties with the Northern Wasteland?

Master Xiao,

don't speak nonsense.

Stop slandering my family!

Mr. Du is here!

Mr. Du,

quickly tell everyone

how this villain Qu Hanshan

imprisoned and forced you.

Yuchi Qing.

What did you say?

Please don't kill me.

Don't kill me.

Please don't kill me.

I didn't mean to escape.

It was him!

[Yuchi Qing or the Northern Wasteland]

He used the Hero Command Token to get the Thirteen Blood-Drinking Saber.

After escaping the dungeon, he tried to silence me too.

Fortunately, I ran fast enough.

You're talking nonsense.

You clearly claimed to be Du Yueshan yourself.

In order to escape through the waterway,

you personally taught Xiao Qiushui martial arts.

How could you sling mud at him?

I'm telling nothing but the truth!

He does have the Hero Command Token!

I saw it myself.

Qiushui has the Hero Command Token?

He has to hand it over.

Right. We must make him hand it over.

You're overly ambitious at such a young age.

How dare you think of seizing the Hero Command Token for yourself.

Hand it over now!

I didn't take the token.

He and Qu Hanshan are in collusion.

Now, he's simply framing me.

Take away this spy for the Northern Wasteland.

I-I...

-Move! -Let go of me!

Let go of me!

Xiao Qiushui,

you just won't confess until the chips are down.

Liu Qianbian.

The Hero Command Token truly exists.

Everyone,

here is the Hero Command Token.

It really was on him.

Such a token does exist!

-That's the one. -Yeah, right.

It's the Hero Command Token.

"Behold the divine token of mystery."

“All heroes shall bow immediately.”

This is exactly the Hero Command Token.

Your two brothers are obviously shocked.

I bet they didn't know you secretly kept the token for yourself.

What a shame.

Who would've known a black sheep

such as yourself is part of the renowned Xiao family in Jinzhong?

The Hero Command Token was never on me.

It was taken

by you, the Power Gang, long ago!

To add to that, you staged this ridiculous show to frame me.

Enough!

Big Brother!

Your arrogance is no news to me.

But I didn't expect

such perfidious behavior from you!

The Xiao family has preserved its good reputation for a century.

Your unscrupulous acts are not to tolerated!

Yiren...

Everyone, my younger brother is young and ignorant.

I implore you to spare him this time.

Today, I will

cut off an arm of mine

to atone for his mistake!

-Yiren! -Yiren!

One must bear the consequences of one's own doing.

The one we plan to punish is Xiao Qiushui,

not someone else.

That's right.

Yes. He has to be punished!

This traitor must be punished!

He must be punished!

Don't let him get away!

He's a mole!

We, the Five Tigers of Guangling,

will have this traitor punished!

He has to be eliminated!

Exterminate Xiao Qiushui!

You can't deny learning the Northern Wasteland's

martial skills without permission

and secretly keeping the Hero Command Token for yourself.

Today, you must give the martial world an explanation.

An explanation for what?

Don't believe him, guys!

Tang Fang!

That Northern Wastelander admitted he was Du Yueshan

and that he tricked Xiao Qiushui into learning martial skills from him.

Those people cooked up the entire scheme

exactly because we revealed his true identity.

You're distorting the truth with that smart mouth of yours.

Then I'll teach you a lesson too,

Xiao Qiushui's accomplice.

Hold on!

Please refrain from further acts, Mr. Qu.

I am Tang Song.

The old madam sent me here

to take Tang Fang back for punishment.

Please do me a favor, Mr. Qu.

Tang Sect and Xiao Qiushui are not connected in any way.

Tang Fang's misinterpreted your actions

because she has been deceived by Xiao Qiushui.

Now that Miss Tang is also a victim,

it'd be best for her to be disciplined by Tang Sect.

Tang Fang,

come back to Tang Sect with us right away.

I'm not leaving.

Sorry for all the trouble, everyone. Goodbye.

It's better for Tang Fang to be taken away

by Tang Sect than be captured by Qu Hanshan.

I must find a way to get out of this.

Xiao Qiushui, it's time we dealt with you.

I won't admit to the offense

that I didn't commit.

I will prove

I'm innocent

of what I've been accused of today.

-Big Brother! -Big Brother!

I should've been stricter with you,

or you wouldn't have made such a serious mistake today!

Mr. Xiao, Big Brother has really been wronged.

I beg you to believe him.

Shinian,

take down the third young master!

Yes!

This matter only concerns me.

You two stay away.

Big Brother!

Big Brother...

Stand back!

Yiren, let me go.

I swear I'll prove my innocence to you.

Shut up!

Mr. Qu, Xiao Qiushui from Huanhua Sect

is now under control.

I guarantee he won't stir up trouble again.

Please allow me to take him back to the Xiao Residence,

so we can decide what to do with him.

For all of Xiao Qiushui's wrongdoing,

there is irrefutable evidence.

Are you still trying to cover for him?

Do you want the Xiao family's reputation to be ruined or what?

With such a black sheep in your family,

you choose not to take a clear stance.

What kind of message are you sending?

Will anyone opt to help the Xiao family again?

Mr. Xiao, you heard what he said.

Xiao Qiushui has to be punished

and banished today,

or I'm afraid nobody in the martial world

will agree to extend aid to the Xiao family.

I thought you knew what was at stake.

You plotted against me step by step

just to silence me.

Shut up!

At this point,

won't you stop being stubborn

and making more mistakes?

Are you really going to disregard the reputations

of Huanhua Sect and the Xiao family?

Yiren,

you'd rather believe others' lies

than your own brother's words?

Big Brother!

Think about the greater good!

I will remove your disguise someday

and let everyone see who you really are.

Big Brother!

-Big Brother! -Big Brother!

Big Brother,

You both believe him.

I'm warning you,

you might just end up like me.

Let's take Qiushui home.

Mr. Qu,

about today's incident...

Xiao Qiushui has received due punishment.

I believe all the sect leaders will offer help to the Xiao family.

Then the Hero Command Token...

Mr. Qu will keep it safe

and return it to Wudang Sect later.

Any objections, guys?

It's a good idea.

If that's the case,

I shall humbly accept this task.

I already framed Xiao Qiushui

as you told me.

Please, Deputy Chief Liu,

help me get rid of the Misery Pill.

Xiao Qiushui's matter has been settled.

But there is still a bone to pick

for Baicao Valley.

What did you say?

How astounding that you've completely forgotten it.

Here's a little reminder for you.

Maybe it'll jog your memory.

You...

Mother.

You're the young valley master.

I'm not only alive,

but have also become what you fear most.

You, hateful scoundrel,

spread rumors,

ruined Baicao Valley's reputation,

and destroyed my whole family.

You're finally in the palm of my hand now.

I have nothing to do with Baicao Valley's misfortune.

Fine.

Let's see how long you can keep denying it.

I didn't do it!

I didn't spread those rumors!

Stop this, I beg you!

Stop...

You're still in denial as you're about to die.

I swear...

my task back then was only to steal the formula.

What happened afterward was irrelevant to me.

I was not engaged in it at all.

What exactly happened back then?

Tell me!

Back then...

Our army learned that Baicao Valley in Jinzhong

had developed a pill

with remarkable effects for addressing hunger and healing wounds.

So, they planned to make Marching Pills based on it as military provisions.

Please leave.

I won't sell the formula to you.

Miss...

Goodbye.

Let's go.

King Helian assigned me to steal the formula from the valley.

But since the master there guarded the formula with great caution,

I had no choice but to observe the process of pill making in secret.

Unexpectedly,

I was spotted,

and my identity exposed.

I was then expelled from Baicao Valley.

After that, those in the valley became more vigilant.

Outsiders could barely make their way in.

Therefore, King Helian paid a man in the Daxi martial world

to be his informant

and had this man look for the formula.

It came as a shock that he started spreading rumors in the martial world,

claiming that Baicao Valley was making Marching Pills exclusively for our army.

The words reached far.

Baicao Valley was then destroyed by the Daxi martial world overnight.

It was the Daxi martial world that flattened Baicao Valley.

It truly had nothing to do with me!

Who was that martial practitioner in collusion with

you Northern Wastelanders?

His identity is a military secret.

It is known to no one but King Helian.

How am I supposed to know

if you're telling a lie

to exonerate yourself?

Every word I've said is true.

I dare not lie.

Oh, right. I recall it.

It was Diancang Sect that transported the Marching Pills

to the Northern Wasteland.

You can ask them about it.

Diancang Sect...

Good.

Write down everything

you just said.

Okay. I will.

[Xiao Residence]

Qu Hanshan...

Qu Hanshan...

Qu Hanshan!

Qiushui.

Qiushui!

Qiushui.

I've sealed your acupoints

to ease the pain.

I've also applied some Healing Salve to your wounds.

The pain will somewhat subside.

Yiren,

Kaiyan,

Xueyu,

do not let Qu Hanshan go to Sword Manor.

Please stop being so stubborn.

Look at the state you're in now.

Take it down a notch, will you?

Kaiyan,

Qu Hanshan is the Sword King of the Power Gang.

He got the Hero Command Token long ago.

He made up that story today

only to slander me.

Enough.

The Xiao family's century-old reputation

was almost ruined today because of you.

Fortunately, Mr. Qu was kind and chivalrous enough

to still choose to

help our family despite what happened.

Yiren,

he agreed to help

merely because the Sword Manor can only be opened from inside.

I've heard

that Liu Suifeng from the Power Gang

has a grudge against our family.

Xueyu,

if the Power Gang gets into the Sword Manor,

they'll bring nothing

but harm to Father and Mother.

How absurd.

Our family has never had ties

with the Power Gang.

How is Liu Suifeng possibly holding a grudge against us?

I don't have time for your nonsense.

We'll settle this matter later.

Yiren,

why do you believe that outsider Qu Hanshan

instead of your brother Qiushui?

Qiushui needs to rest now.

Let's not disturb him.

Attend to his wounds.

Get him caregivers.

Yiren!

Yiren!

Yiren!

Tang Fang?

No!

Was that dream a plot of the novel?

The Sword Manor is supposed to be impenetrable.

Father and Mother said the water could last them for 20 days.

Do I remember it wrong?

Or has something gone wrong?

It's the key to Sword Manor.

Such hot weather.

Mother, mind the steps.

Stop following me.

I don't have the key.

Your father has it.

Mother, how do you know?

I gave birth to you.

Don't you think I know

what you're up to?

You want to open the Sword Manor with the key,

so you can get Changge Sword, right?

Mother, you know me so well.

Why not help me persuade Father

to lend me the key just once?

Lend you the key?

Dream on!

I wish I could help, Son.

But your father cares a lot about that key.

According to our ancestors' rules,

it must be with him till he dies.

The only exception

is that your father no longer manages the Xiao family.

Then, the key be passed down to you and your brothers.

The key must be with Father till he dies...

Why would Mother put something so important

in this pouch?
