Welcome back to Almonte in southwest Spain.
Race 2, EMX 250, up next, 25 minutes plus

2 laps. We're live on MXGP TV as always with
me, Paul Maylin, Lisa Leyland, and the rest

of the crew. Of course, there is the aerial
view of the racetrack. And the sun is out

and it's yet and it's going to be staying out
here today as well. We had a great atmosphere

in the stands yesterday because your winner
in race one, Francesco Garcia, local lad, came

away with the win, took the lead on lap two,
held it till the checkered flag at the end

of lap 15. His Van Anbud racing Kawasaki teammate,
Jack Cannon, crossed the line second. Billy

Askew was third on his dirt store triumph. And
then Mads Gredso, Jakub Kubilin, dreaded out

the top five. from Alexi Fueri, Guion Dunsen,
Francesco Ballet, Malo 4 and Tom Brunet. Rider

of the race though was Nikolai Skodbjörg of
Denmark on the Husqvarna. He was down and

out at the end of the first lap, down in 13th-ninth
place and he came through. And he was a long

way down as well because he stayed there for
the first three laps and then all of a sudden

he put on a charge back to 13th. Which, if
he gets a good start, the Gingininja, he will

be on it and I'm sure he'll be challenging.

Leon Rudolph, Filippo Mantovani, Andrea Moner,
Sebastian Leop, Tom Brunet, Ryan Tolstma,

Max Ernaker, Aaron Katona and the rest. 40 riders
lining up today. There is your winner from

Race 1, Francesco Garcia. Can he come away?
At least with the top step of the podium at

home. Won three rounds last year. won both
races at the final round in Turkey comes in

to 2026 with the win so three race wins on the
bounce Jake Cannon his Vannenberg racing Kawasaki

teammate A visit to the podium round nine last
year at Mattsli Basin where he was third overall.

He's putting himself in a good position for
another podium here at the opening round. Billy

Askew, dirt store triumph. Likewise for him,
got a third equaling his best result from Trentino

last year in a race. Can he put two races together
and come away with a podium? What about Matts

Fredsoe? He was fourth in race one. The Dane
here riding 5.15. on the Katmoto Bowerschmidt

KTM and Jakub Skubalin's JK Yamaha, two-struck
rider here this weekend.

Decent race for him, fifth in race one. Pretty
much started just inside the top ten and that

was it. Liam Owens started round about seventh,
dropped down to eighth or ninth, picked himself

back up and then ended up down in twelfth place.
So just started to fall off the radar second

half of the race. 2.75 making his way to the
line there. Eric Racow of Germany with everybody

in place. We've got a green flag at the back
here, green flag down the front, the fly racing

15 second board will go up. And we're getting
ready to go racing again, 25 minutes plus two.

EMX 250 race two here. In our one take.

Garcia, gate number one over on our right, his
left ASCUE alongside him. Then Skofberg, then

Bredsoe on the 5.15, five second boarders turn.

reaction for the Kawasaki rider but he somehow
eclipses Askew. Askew's fluffed his lines,

he's right in the back, he's maybe going to
try and hold a tight line through the inside.

He does just about do that. But it's Kubilin
who leads.

As we swing through turn three, the two-stroke
J.K. Yamaha leads the way. Jean-Gregoire

there in second on the 28. Third is Mano Four.
He pretty much grabbed the whole shot yesterday

in race one. Fourth place is Jano Vervo. It's
a better start for the rider in red. Then,

Manzavani just sweeping through. And then it
looked like Tibercio, the Brazilian, alongside

him. Oh, I'll tell you what. Alexi Fueri
just getting punted there, the 7.17.

down in 27th place. Gregoire coming towards
us in second, there's Mano Four in third. He

fell on this part of the racetrack yesterday
and a couple of laps later in the next turn

on the exit Garcia in ninth just behind his
teammate. So the two Vennumbug racing Kawasaki's

line of stern at the moment, they were, 8th
and 9th, Wary 10, Dooms and Brooks, Mancini,

Rudolph, Frisp, Skoghberg, another bad start
but better than 39th from race one.

Can I wait towards the end of this unofficial
opening lap? Kooblin's leads the way, Mano

for second, Gregoire third on the 28th, fourth
is still, the elbow's out, up on the pegs,

big Belgian, Jana Berwurtz, behind him.
is the 1.37 of Bernardo Taburtho. uh Stays

lower than the Belgian and he's going to run
up the inside. Make the move, make the pass.

had an issue yesterday that left him out
of the points but he was running up there

somewhere in the points before he made that
mistake over on the liquid molly jump. bike

was facing sideways where it shouldn't have
been. Started in around well, he got himself

up to sixth place mid-race even higher fifth
race with a couple of laps ago So to Bercio,

Fancy's chances this time around the two Kawasaki
teammates here three and 29 Jake Cannon of

Australia and the Spaniard Your winner from
race one those there's still plenty of time

here at the pace yesterday But as it stands
right now is seven seconds off the lead of

the Jacobs Cumberlands Two Kawasaki side by
side there as they hit that offset. Goes around

the outside. Cannon's not going to fight him
there. Goes after Fredsoe.

Garcia now seventh. Might be sixth by the time
we get out of this left hander. If you get

the power down, he doesn't, nor two. Fredsoe,
both riders messing up in quick succession

coming out of that turn. Fredsoe can't leave
the door open here and he doesn't, he goes

defensive. Forces Garcia to the outside on the
29 in the red and yellow. Askew already up

into 17th has pretty much made 10 positions
on this opening lap.

First official lap complete though, Mano four
was quickest, not by a lot. 1.2 seconds behind,

Jakobs Kuvelins there already heading down
the next straight towards turn three, top of

your screen. the crowd once more as Francisco
Garcia gets closer to Mats Redso in that battle

for six just ahead of him Bernardo Tabusea
and Bernabas said Garcia goes through finds

his way past the Dane oh

of a sudden Garcia now put in sixth place.

Garcia may get out of this turn early or he
may go the long way round. see. Decides for

the latter. Knows he's got good pace down this
straight here. Can he launch the triple?

No, he decides not to. Verrilliès looks across,
realises he's helpless. Oh, how did Garcia

stay up there? He went about 20 feet over five
holes on the front wheel, almost ejected

himself out the front door. Big moment, big
save for Garcia. Who now finds himself in

fit. Frenso going with him as he finds his
way past the Belgian.

fantastic atmosphere here for EMX 250. Kublin
to Mellow 4, separated by not a lot, the 252-stroke

Yamaha and the 250F four-stroke machine. J.K.
Yamaha. Leading the way still from the VHR

Yamaha official team of Mano 4 who led on the
opening lap. I see it came by the Frenchman

Mano 4 stayed there for a couple of laps then
down to third as Askew came through. Then he

had that first of two crashes that eventually
dumped him down to 15. Got a bit of a gift

in this corner here when three riders fell.
Michael and Belay were two of those riders.

Owens might have been the other one. Eventually
Mano Four came home in ninth place but he's

gunning for the lead. Probably learnt a lot
in that first race. Maybe don't go hard too

early.

And here is alongside the Latvian.

Four was quickest last time around. Once again,
two laps in succession.

pretty much even lap times for these two this
time around. They've got about five and a half

seconds. 4.6 now. There's Bernardo, Tabercio
and Garcia go by Deet-Gregor. That's them in

the background. Third and fourth. Mano four
trying to lean on the Latvian as he fights

for the lead. Can he make the move here? He's
going to have to go double if he can, but Kublinz

closes him off in turn four.

to Bercio. Gregoire is losing ground. Fredsoe

and Berverutz. Fredsoe has found his way past
Berverutz obviously. That's for six. Berverutz

seven. Cannon, Ake Dunson and Joe Brooks. Rounding
out the top ten.

he leads on lap four.

Just pops the triple. Seeing the difference,
a couple of bike lengths, gets good drive then

on the exit, on the landing. And that's all
he needed, and it's already 1.3 seconds clear

of Kubilin's. See you.

37 with the Spaniard behind him. Francisco
Garcia carrying a lot of speed. Is he going

to double in here? Well, he just jumps long
and he's going to find his way up the inside.

Taburcio had to yield in the end. The roar
of the crowd every step of the way with Garcia,

who now moves third.

now. Can he do it with the 1.1? Will it be

a 1.3 or a 1.2? Looks across to see where Kubilin's
is and that's a 3.7 second gap to the JK

Yamaha rider in second but this is a very measured
performance from Garcia at the moment. He's

big, he's strong.

Right, this is the story of Garcia's race so
far. Found his way past his teammate Jake

Cannon. And then went after the guy in the pink
ahead of him, Matt Scredsock. Found his way

past the day. Mike's this part of the race
track, inside or outside, seems to work for

him. This move on Jan Eberwurtz almost went
wrong when he came into land here. That was

for fifth.

And then Gregoire, who ran wide, threw turn
11. this move on Tibercio a moment ago to

move into third place. Been a busy race for
the Spaniard. They'll be getting some exercise

up there in the stands, up and down on the
squats. He's got the gap down to two and a

half seconds. No! Easy Tiger dancing around
on that back end. He probably didn't feel

it, but the fans would have seen it. They would
have had a twitch as well.

Is this going to be a magical day for him?
Watch here, these square edges every now and

again just bite back.

This is for second, Jakub Skubulinc. And the
29, Francesco Garcia looks across to see where

the leader is. That gap, 6.4 seconds, Mano 4.
Reeled him in yesterday. You're probably thinking,

well, if I get to second, there's no reason
why I can't challenge with clear track ahead

of me. He's got to be patient at the same time.
Still has 12 and a half minutes plus two laps

to go. Looking to make the move here. Spooks
Kubilin, who holds firm though in the line.

atmosphere here. absolutely packed this place
out solid. big screen on the infield, goes

around the outside of the lap and moves in the
second at the end of lap six.

See what the gap is between Mano Four and
Francesco Garcia. Just over six seconds. And

even though he was sat behind the Latvian, he
was a tenth of a second slower than the race

leader. Bernardo Tibercio is lurking in the
background in fourth as well, getting ready

to take a position away from Kubilin's if he
can. Tibercio on the Amaha.

And he is getting closer to the rider in blue.
We may see a change for third before the end

of the lap. Meanwhile, the gap, 6.3 seconds
between first and second. Mano four was a

little bit more efficient in sector one by
about three tenths.

Again, just takes a quick look up, got the gap
back to 6.1. Not an easy racetrack though,

is it? Very physical.

We'll get another split out of the next left-hander

in front of the big grandstand, 100 meters from
now.

went through in a 32.6, Garcia goes through
in a 31.2, the gap down to 4.7. All of a sudden

this race coming alive for Francesco Garcia.

Doesn't look like he's pushing hard, does it?
But he is, he's absolutely ringing every ounce

out of that 250 Kawasaki. Doubles his way into
the penultimate corner, urged on by the fans

here. Mano 4, 153.5, Garcia 152.2, 4.7, the
gap now as we reach the halfway stage pretty

much. 15 lap race yesterday, we've had seven
laps now. That'll take us to 14. But the circuit

conditions, a little rougher than they were
yesterday. Fastest lap in race one. Words by

Garcia, 149.233, Mano 4, uh a 151.057 is the
fastest so far. So a couple of seconds, a

lap, and we're already dropping below that.
So it could be a 14 lap at this time around.

doing a good job keeping that gap stable though.
As he becomes more accustomed to that YZ250F

in race trim. 125 rider last year, of course,
second in the championship. Six overall wins

and a second. Garcia looks like he's getting
that gap down ever so slightly, although the

last split was still 4.5 seconds.

the top step. Kubalin's on the podium on 34
points if he stays where he is. Then we've

got Mads Bredso and Jake Cannon tied on 32,
fourth and fifth respectively. Cannon in 11th

place, one second behind August Frisk.

Garcia. He will know. Mano 4 didn't have the
best race yesterday. He'll also know that second

will be good enough to take the overall. Is
he in that frame of mind yet? 4.3, still trying.

Breathe. Garcia, four seconds. That's the message
for Mano 4.

option, but you've got to get out of there.

It's a slower exit speed, faster down to the
straight speed, but then slower through the

turn. And I thought looking good here, though.

the moment between first and second. Tiberio
is third, Kuberlin's fourth, Gregoire fifth.

Jake Cannon in 11th? Ron Tolstma is 12th. Alexey
Fueri, Tom Brunet, Andrea Mond, Max Ernika,

Lionel Reichel, Simone Mancini, Sebastian Leoc
and the 300 of uh Perez. Jake Cannon. battling

here with August Frisk. This will only be
one point gain. That'll get him one step closer

to the podium. Still six minutes plus two to
go.

from Switzerland last year, Agnes Friss, who
then went out with a knee injury, missed the

rest of the season.

Still working with former world number two,
world number three, Stephen Frosart. Chris

though takes a nervous look over the shoulder,
goes middle of the road. Cannon tries to

nip Danny inside. He will utilize this smooth
circuit down here to make that pass. And

he does on the back wheel. Goes past the Swede.
And Cannon up into night.

Dunson about 2.4 seconds, no slouch in the

sand. Dunson last time around, 1.55.9, Cannon
1.55.2. So he has pace on the young Dutchman.

Can he capitalize on that with a clear track
ahead of him? Closing in now, Mano 4. And

Garcia. Garcia all over the back of the Frenchman.

4.3 it was a lap ago, all of a sudden we're
down to a second, 0.6 of a second. The crowd

were already on their feet, they've burst back
into life now.

split here. 1.1. Fastest in sector two and

three for the race for the Spaniard. Mano Four
put his best time in sector two. 2.10 slower.

He's had to up his intensity. Just over two
and a half minutes plus two laps to go. Been

a very classy ride this from Mano Four. but
he's got his hands tied and his hands full.

The pressure building once again from behind,
that man there, the 29! And the mistake comes!

The fans on their feet, it's like Spain have
scored the winning goal in the World Cup. The

noise absolutely electric as Garcia takes over
the lead.

Coming back though.

believes he can still win this race. Does the
French rider, dancing around over the rough

to be a gift for Cannon and Fred Soren. Dunson

down to 15th.

hard it has been to find his way onto the

rear wheel of the French rider and make that
pass. Knows he can't afford to switch off

either but he's put some distance in the last
couple of corners it's not 1.2 anymore as

it was at the top of the hill

three laps to go. Gets distance there doesn't
he? Makes that double into the penultimate

corner. Manot 4 not able to. A 1.2 second advantage
all of a sudden what two or three seconds.

Actually, been a good couple of corners there
for 4. It's only 1.3. Long look at the pit

board. Francisco Garcia got a double race with
last year at Matili Basin and again in the

final round in Turkey. So rounds 9 and 13.
Can he do it again here this weekend?

Garcia looks over his shoulder again. As
it stands right now, Francesco Garcia and Jake

Cannon are 1 and 2 overall in the standings.
And here's why. found his way past Guion Duneson

before he fell actually. This was the moment
we saw the change for the lead Garcia on Mano

4.

The Jet Cannon has a two point advantage over
Man O'Four in the overall classification. Four

needs to find his way back in front.

So even more breathing room then for Jake Cannon.
This is going to be the absolute dream start

for Vennanbud Racing, it? One and two in the
race yesterday. It stays like this. They're

going to be one and two on the podium. But
if it stays like this, testing the limits

of the circuit once again, Francesco Garcia
over that crest, almost off the side of the

track once more. Doesn't need to push this
hard with just over a lap to go. But he only

knows one way. That's on. And he's definitely
on fire here this weekend. He needs a pit

board now to save the gap. It's going to be
around about five seconds. Not so that he

can relax, but just so he doesn't rush. Yeah,
there's the look over the shoulder. Into

the final lap for Francesco Garcia. who is
eyeing up his third career double race victory

in the MX250. But this one here, on home
soil in Spain, will be the sweetest of them

all. If he can keep it on two wheels, of course.
The gap nearly six seconds to Mano 4. The

Spaniard has broken the Frenchman, who just
wants to bring it home and on the podium as

well for Yamaha.

standings. But Francesco Garcia, the first

one, once he got to second on lap two, there
was never any doubt. He opened up that lead,

controlled the race. and went on to win comfortably
by nearly 12 seconds. Race two, he didn't

make the good start. He had to be methodical.
He had to be patient. That's exactly what

he was. There was that one moment here when
he passed Berbaut where it almost went a little

bit piton. But he saved it, stayed in the
race, stayed in the fight. Francesco Garcia

is going to round out the final turn. He will
go 1-1 at home in Spain at the opening round.

What a day for him. And Vennambud Racing Kawasaki
surely is going to go and celebrate in front

of the fans at the first turn. I hope so.
There you go. That's what it means to him.

Absolutely hero of the hour. Garcia, take
a bow. We wait for Tibercioda to come through

in third place. But the Venambud racing Kawasaki
is the new king of Spain. Here's Jake Cannon.

And it's going to be a Venambud racing 1-2
overall at this opening round. I'm not sure

if he knows it yet. Maybe he does. But Jake
Cannon crosses the line in fifth. That's going

to be good enough for second overall. What
a day it has been for the French base team.

They will tell him in a moment. um He's going
to the podium. Timur right there and so is

Garcia. Let the celebrations begin when he
left the track yesterday and rode around outside

the trucks on that back road where the road
is where the trucks are based. The crowd,

they created a corridor like you see when they
do the mountain stages in the Tour de France.

Everybody shouting and banging and slapping
him on the back all the way to the truck yesterday.

It was incredible. when they play the national
anthem of Spain at the moment, it is going

to go off. Hopefully they sing their hearts
out.

A double race win victory on home soil for

the first round. It doesn't get much better
than that. Oh, yes. Amazing. Yeah. It's amazing

win, but in their home it's better. A lot of
fun here, I'm so happy. The riding was good.

The start was not the best. A little bit of
a hard pump in the moto, but I tried to push

myself. I take myself in the moto and I win
the moto and yeah, good. Also the red play.

What a weekend it has been for Francesco Garcia,
the Venenbud Racing Kawasaki rider. Showed

off in the colours of the national flag, and
why wouldn't you? What a reception he has

received all around this racetrack. Fastest

get any better than that for Garcia. and then
headed straight to turn one to celebrate with

the fans. Boy, you just want that to be the
last race of the day, don't you? So they can

just charge the start straight and be there

Top three overall here this weekend in EMX250.
opening round, Francesco Garcia with the perfect

weekend. Jake Cannon second overall, Mano
four third. We will talk to the top three

in a moment, but let's check out the highlights
of race two, shall we? What a race it was.

you EMX 250 Race 2, over on the right hand side.
Billy Askew got left behind and then he would

make a mistake after finishing third in Race
1 yesterday. He would eventually be forced

to withdraw, his chance of a podium gone. Your
winner from Race 1 as well, Francesco Garcia,

was around about 10th place in the first few
corners. A couple of positions behind his team

mate, there's Jakub Kubilinz on the JK Yamaha,
took over the lead. Behind him, Dean Gregoire

on the 28th, Mano 4, there on the 295 in third
place. And then, Janna Berworts. Berworts

said... came under pressure from Bernardo Tabercio.
Tabercio finding his way past to move into

fourth. It a good ride for the Brazilian.
We then saw a change of lead as four went

past Koumelins. That was on lap four. Garcia
also on the charge past the Latvian. As he

moved into second on lap six, he had this
moment here, Mano four, that cost him the lead.

Garcia was there ready to pounce. took over
the lead at that moment, but he could never

really switch off and relax. Jake Cannon in
the second half of the race really started

to come into his own, found his way past Dean
Gregoire, eventually past Frisk and Kubilin

to come out in fifth position. Garcia would
win the race. It would be a 1-1 for the Vennenbud

Racing Kawasaki, finishing ahead of Mano for
Tabersio, Skofberg and Cannon. And for the

Kawasaki team, as Garcia celebrated in the
first turn. with his fans it would be a 1-2

as it was in the first race but leaving here
with the overall Garcia Cannon and Mano for

an absolute dream start for Bud Racing. That's
how it looks in the championship Garcia Cannon

and four, Koumelins and Fredsoe rounding out
the top five. An absolutely electrifying day

here in Armante. He arrived here in red, he
goes to round two with the red plate. Congratulations,

Francesco Garcia, Jake Cannon and Mano Faw.

Francesco Garcia, massive congratulations. A
double race win victory for you. You had a

lot of work to do in that second race, a few
close calls as well, but you got the job done

and you did it in front of your home fans.
I tell you, really good starting the beginning

of the straight. The movement and all was good,
the reaction, but in the corner, my teammate

I see starting in front of me, he touched me
a little bit. After in the beginning, sleep

a little bit, but also with the training and
the trainer. I was stale in the beginning,

was long race. But after I put my rhythm in
myself, was really good to spin the end of

the moto. A little bit a hard pump, but I think
I need also the first round, I need a lot of

work to do. Now it's really good to win with
the fans. Never happened to me that, but it's

amazing. Yeah, but let's keep working.

You've kind of tracked the way if you're pushing,
pushing, pushing, you really will make mistakes,

but you really did come in your own at the end
of that race. What sort of race was that for

you? It was kind of a weird one because I got
off to a good start. I kind of struggled at

the start um just to try to find some lines
that were working. I ended up going down on

the opening laps and then I just had to fight
the whole way to get back to P5. So it was

a good moto, good weekend for the team. And
yeah, thank you to my trainer and Deltons

Thanks, Jake. OK, third overall today we have

Mano for Mano. First race, I guess, was quite
a frustrating one. A much stronger second race.

Couldn't quite hold on to that lead, but you
got the job done and got a podium at the first

round. Yeah, I'm so very happy. I finished three
on this race, first race in 250. So yeah, I

know what I can do. yeah, now we will see next
week and I hope I'm riding better. OK, thank

Third overall on his EMX 250 debut, Man 04.
What a weekend it has been for the young French

rider. The VHR official Yamaha man. Could
have gone better, he knows it, but he's on

the podium. And that is a good start for the
young Frenchman. Jake Cannon, we didn't see

the mistake that he made, but we did know that
he went and lost a few positions. But he bounced

back well, claimed the fifth in race two, second
in race one, second overall to his Venenbud

racing Kawasaki teammate, Francesco Garcia.
who was just absolutely superb, sensational,

immaculate. I'm sure there are plenty of other
objectives there as well, but he was on fire

here at home in Almonte. The man from Almonte,
he say yeah.
