i never dreamed that this could happen

but it did

i can still remember that fateful day in

september

when sheriff barkley called me at the

university

he sounded urgent and wanted me to

cancel my scheduled classes

i then gathered my equipment and started

testing the local waterways

for possible contamination i did what he

asked

and performed various water quality

tests

at several ponds lakes and streams in

the area

but something was strange about the

water and my results didn't make sense

fish were dying and i couldn't explain

as acid rain now this is bad

because it can damage property hurt

kill fish i learned about acids reading

how dangerous is sulfuric acid

high concentrations of sulfuric acid can

burn you up right where you stand

dissolve the skin
