No matter what happens later,

don't come out.

I got a new safety amulet for you.

Do you like it?

Yeah, I do.

I'll even sleep with it on.

I, Qin Shiyue, swear to heaven,

(Mingmen Shipping Company) I will clear my father's name.

I will take down the ones who hurt you

and avenge every wrong done to you.

Who are you? How dare you barge in here?

I came to...

M-Madam.

Let her in.

Are you insane?

She is Young Marshal's new wife.

Yesterday, Madam Xue

slapped her twice

and got shot by Young Marshal.

You'd better stand still.

(The Dai family Dad mentioned)

(should be this family.)

(The only one who dealt with my family)

(is Dai Shiyao.)

(Mingmen Shipping Company)

(Mingmen Shipping Company)

Why are you here?

I saw your door was open,

so I thought I'd come in for a look.

A look?

For what?

I've already looked around.

Nice style.

I'll get going then.

Since you're here already,

why not stay a bit?

You heard Grandma's decision.

For some things,

timing doesn't really matter.

Wait a sec.

Wait for what?

Your beard feels a bit prickly.

Prickly?

Yeah.

How about this,

I'll shave it for you.

I often shave my father's at home.

Alright.

Let's see your skills.

Not bad at all.

Pretty spot-on.

My dad taught me.

Your father taught you well.

But what's the point of that?

In times like these,

he might as well teach me to shoot,

teach me how to take a life.

That's the only way to protect family.

Who told you that?

You think that is the only way?

Isn't it true?

What can truly protect this world

is not taking lives,

but sparing them.

So you need to live well.

I'll keep the Dai family safe,

the people in Nancheng,

and most of all, you.

Go protect my sister instead.

She's the one you're engaged to.

Don't pretend you don't remember.

I saw the letters you wrote my sis.

(Mingmen Shipping Company) (The same.)

(What does this prove?)

(Is my father's false charge)

(linked to Mingmen Shipping Company)

(and to Dai Shiyao?)

(Thinking the worst,)

(could they be in on it?)

(He wrote to my sister,)

(full of tender words,)

(and now treats me like this.)

(He's clearly two-faced.)

(Even if I took him out,)

(how could that clear the Qins' name?)

(The next day)

First time here?

All around us

are people drunk off their feet.

It's not that safe for a pretty lady

like you.

May I know your name?

Qin.

Miss Qin.

Have a drink?.

I don't drink.

This wine

is smooth and mellow. Have a taste.

Just do it for me.

Go on, try it.

Sheng.

What is it?

This girl...

I'm interested in her.

Sheng,

that's crossing the line.

Let me remind you.

You're here today with gold

to make peace with me.

I'll say this one last time.

I've got my eye on this girl.

Got it now?

Let's go.

That's hilarious.

My brother told me not to mess with you.

You told me the same thing.

I let that slide.

But today you came to me yourself.

Good thing you let it slide.

Didn't you see the drink was spiked?

I'm here today to find you.

I want to discuss a deal with you.

What kind of deal?

Help me track down

who framed the Qin family.

What makes you so sure

your family was framed?

My father, Qin Huai, isn't like that.

Your father is a big name in business.

Business elites are all liars,

disguised self‑serving types.

You can't possibly not get this.

My dad's a businessman with principles.

A principled man lending in Nancheng?

Fine.

We can talk business.

How many crates of gold can you bring?

Or is it that…

you'd already decided when you walked in

that you'd use yourself as leverage

to cut this deal with me?

What makes you think you stripping down

is any different from those women

doing the same downstairs?

A deal with me?

It's not impossible.

This drink's been spiked.

I promise I won't harm you.

Drink it,

and we've got a deal to talk.

Dare to drink it?
