The blaze has claimed 1,500 homes.

- BRODY: Oh my god!

- KATILYNN: Holy crap!

- That footage that I showed you was me leaving this.

I mean, this was all on fire, all this, really.

I've been through many, many fires in Malibu.

But this one is definitely the most terrifying.

- BRODY: Look at that. Oh my god.

Pretty much surrounding me.

- BRODY: Pretty much all of Malibu burned.

There were propane tanks blowing up everywhere.

It felt like you were in a freaking warzone.

This was like a ghost town when I was here.

- KAITLYNN: Yeah. - Like, not a single car,

besides a cop car or a fire truck.

It's absolutely heartbreaking.

- KAITLYNN: Oh my god, the whole hillside.

Even though I had an idea

of what I was gonna be driving into,

I really wasn't expecting it to be as dramatic

and as eerie as it is.

Oh my god.

It looks like a horror movie.

Crazy stuff.

- Oh man, this air is still so bad from the fires.

- AUDRINA: I know.

You can actually kind of smell it.

I was having this kind of guilty feeling

going to Vegas without Brody and Kaitlynn.

If we could've told the future, I would've stayed home for sure.

- MISCHA: Oh, definitely.

Why would we have gone to be abused by--

- That was honestly the worst trip to Vegas I've ever had

in my entire life.

Stephanie was on a roll in Vegas.

I think she attacked every single one of us

at that dinner table.

- Thank you so much for driving me.

I really appreciate it. - Yeah, no problem.

- MISCHA: I'm a little more nervous going into it, maybe,

because it's been a minute.

I've done a lot to prepare for this audition.

Let's read through it.

"I'm tired." - "Well, obviously."

- "Sometimes it just feels like you do everything you can,

but people miss the mark."

- Let's do it this time with, like, no exclamation points.

- "Whatcha doin' here?"

- "I want to put my money in a safe place."

The "Whatcha doin' here" is kind of stopping me in my tracks.

- It can be nice to see that little beat of, like, thought.

- Mm-hmm.

- I personally find that interesting.

You'll see what Fern thinks.

- MISCHA: I find auditioning to be, like,

really nerve-wracking sometimes, because I went straight into

doing "The OC" out of high school, and then really,

truly became, like, a working actor.

And so I didn't go on auditions.

- Okay, so what character are you reading for?

- So the character is Ruth.

She works at a brothel.

- Oh, a brothel. - MISCHA: A brothel.

It's, like, set in the '60s.

It's a lot of dialogue. And it's in an accent.

You wanna hear it? - I want to hear one line.

- "I'm finished with this one,

"if you want it. Mostly about Liz Taylor

and her affair with that Welshman."

- It's that Georgia peach girl.

- Hi! - Hi, how are you?

- How are you? - I'm so good.

How are you? - You look gorgeous.

- Thank you.

I definitely think auditioning

is one of the worst parts of acting

because the stakes are so high.

I mean, if all the cards were right and fell into place,

this could be, like, a total comeback.

- So what we'll do is, why don't-- you know something?

Let's get one down. - Okay.

- Let me start this up. - Okay.

- And... action, please.

- "The paper says that you're offering

toasters to new depositors?"

- WOMAN: "The bank doesn't take your kind of money."

- "My money is green, just like everybody else's.

And I earned it the hard way."

Okay, well that was a warm-up.

Word spreads really fast,

if people are impressed and if they're not impressed.

I know if I mess up right out of the gate,

then comeback will be over before it even started.

- FERN: Okay, we're gonna take it one more time.

And I'm gonna tell you what I think.

- Yes, please.

- FERN: I think with Lots, the delivery with him,

it still has to be a bit subservient.

We're in the '60s, okay?

- MISCHA: Right. - You gotta be careful.

But you still get the point across.

And...

"My money is green,

"just like everyone else's.

"And I earned it. The hard way.

Who knows it better than you?"

Was that better? - Much. Much.

- Yeah. - Absolutely. Absolutely.

- MISCHA: This is a good opportunity to start again.

It's exactly the kind of work that I would love to be doing.

"You put whoever you got up there

"down this instant, Dwayne C. Graves.

Do you hear me?"

I definitely put a lot of pressure on myself

over auditioning.

I just really want this.

Hey. - Hi.

How did it go? - It went really well.

I think it was good.

- Oh my gosh. It was pretty long.

- Yeah, yeah, she worked with me on it,

so I think that's really good.

- Oh, I hope you get it. - MISCHA: I know.

- Whoa.

Let's go walk around and see the actual damage.

- BRODY: Okay. Let's do it.

You guys are home.

- KAITLYNN: I mean, we just got freakishly lucky.

- BRODY: Yeah, pretty much.

I was lucky enough. My house was saved.

Thank god. Um, but I did probably have

at least two dozen friends lost everything.

It's a mix of emotions.

But being here with Kaitlynn and the dogs,

I definitely feel extremely grateful.

- BRODY: There was a fleet of fire trucks

that just went right by my house.

For this particular fire,

they told the fire department to just save lives.

- Whoa! This is really burnt.

Let's go down there.

- The shed, which was just 50 feet away from the house,

is completely, completely burned.

Like, not one bit of it left.

Wow.

- Dude, that must've had so much heat coming off it.

Jesus.

- It's kind of mind-blowing that it wasn't worse.

- Those were the back car seats from my old Escalade.

Um... - KAITLYNN: Oh my god.

This is what our whole house could've looked like.

- I had the fire hose.

I just kept spraying the house down, spraying the house down.

It wouldn't quite reach this far,

so I didn't really get to... hose the shed down.

- KAITLYNN: I think that it's probably likely

he saved our house by hosing the house down all day.

- The fire was on that side of the hill, that side of the hill.

And it was just coming down.

You could see it just creeping through, like this.

It all burned.

- KAITLYNN: So many of the powerlines

burned down in Malibu. And the cell towers are out.

We probably had 18 hours of not knowing if he was okay.

That was terrifying.

If something had happened to him,

so many people would be devastated.

His whole family and me.

- I mean, this is nothing

compared to what other people have lost.

- I definitely have a deeper appreciation

for what actually matters in my life.

And it's not all the material things.

As long as we're together, we can make it through.

- I got really lucky.

is finally getting better.

I have had to keep Gunner inside, like, for a week.

- HEIDI: Wow, that's so scary.

- SPENCER: That's just, like, a old post.

- So obviously he didn't go to Vegas?

- Yeah, but I don't think it mattered.

I think there was still plenty of drama.

Frankie messaged me and was like,

"Everyone's talking about, uh, Justin and Stephanie.

And Audrina was freaking out."

I was like, "I could care less."

Stephanie and I were able to get along at the crystal party.

- WHITNEY: I feel like the odd man out lately.

I haven't really kept in touch with anybody because I have work

that needs to get done right now.

We're launching in these big retailers.

They're all with Bundle.

Um, they're on the creative team.

And so they're here from Colorado,

helping with the photoshoot today.

- Awesome.

The past two weeks have been really overwhelming.

Brody and I are still trying to get the ash and smoke cleaned up

out of the house. I feel like I could use a minute

to just hang out and be normal.

Whitney and I know each other through work.

I work in fashion,

and she also was involved in fashion for a long time.

So our paths crossed a lot over the years.

I would always go to her for advice because she does have

such a good head on her shoulders.

- Bye. Okay, let's sit down.

- How are you? - I feel so much better now.

- You do? - Yeah.

Last week was so crazy with the fires.

I've just started to get back to normal.

- Yeah. - How are things?

- It's a lot of pressure.

I haven't been a part of something so big

or something that I've been so close to

since I had my clothing line.

I started my clothing line, Whitney Eve, with my dad,

my brother, and my younger sister.

My father passed away in 2013.

And I just decided not to do the clothing line anymore.

It was just too much responsibility for me

without him and too sad every day.

Right now, I'm working as a creative director

and brand strategist for a company called Bundle Organics.

We make snacks and nutrient powders.

It's for the mom.

So it starts with, like, a stage of fertility products.

- Oh, you gotta give me some.

- Yeah. Is that happening?

- Well, I mean, we're sort of at the point

where if it happens, it happens.

- We didn't, like, plan Sonny.

That's why, like, when I actually found out

I was pregnant, I was really scared.

Being a mom has had its ups and downs.

Right now, it's definitely more up than down.

But I think it's really important

to be open and honest about that.

- KAITLYNN: It helps knowing that you've been able

to continue doing this business.

I think part of my concern has been

even seeing Heidi or other moms

who've kind of become so overwhelmed with motherhood

that they've given up a lot of their life

that they had before.

- If I didn't have a job and something that I could--

something I could feel proud of myself, like,

I just wouldn't be a good wife or a mom.

I understand her feeling nervous, feeling scared,

feeling doubtful.

I really wanna be there to support her.

You'll find your balance.

on becoming a mother?

- I always wanted to be a mom.

But it honestly wasn't until Sonny was about a year old

when I finally was like, okay,

like, I feel comfortable with my identity as a mom.

- AUDRINA: It's so nice by the fire.

- MISCHA: I know. I love this.

I mean, I think.

It's my first time without my mom.

My mom was my manager until three or four years ago.

I feel like lines got blurred there.

We have just a real difference of opinion in life and business.

I'll be very honest with you, Audrina.

It's, like, tough when you involve family in something

that's so personal to you and is your heart.

- It's hard.

- It's been a really rocky year.

So with my mom, it's sadly kind of come to a place

where we're just not talking for right now.

I feel like it's time to let me be my own actress/actor

and, like, live my own life, and live my own truth,

and stop having to, like, support other people

or take care of them.

- Mischa, I think you're gonna cry!

- I feel like you've been through so much.

And you've got this. Like, you know what you want.

- It's just such a colossally hard feeling to think

that you might never get along with your family again.

You will, but it's gonna take time.

- I definitely have this nagging fear that I'm gonna make

the wrong decisions.

Like, I know that it's not gonna be easy.

And so the family thing is tough, you know?

I mean, I talk to my sisters and stuff,

but it's not the same as being here on my own and...

- Maybe in time, like, you and your mom will grow close again.

But not right now.

I feel like this is you getting on your own feet.

- MISCHA: I really love my friendship with Audrina.

There's something I feel towards her

that's a little bit more sisterly.

I know it happens.

It's just, like, we were such a tight family unit.

- AUDRINA: Mischa is very reserved.

So the fact she's opening up to me says a lot.

She's hurt.

And she's been through a rough, rough journey.

I feel like it makes me sad because I can't imagine

not having your family there for you.

You're doing so well. You've moved back to LA.

The hard part's done,

and it's only going up from here, you know?

After the whole Vegas thing, I just need a break from Justin.

- Before, I did pop music, and that was really fun.

Then the first song I, like, wrote was called "Higher,"

and it actually went viral. I was number four in Tokyo.

But I feel like now where I'm at is just more of, like,

a heartfelt Christian vibe.

I have had a lot of time in the past few years to reflect.

And one of the biggest things in my life

is being, you know, a Christian.

So I really want to put out a great faith-based,

positive song.

- So when you write, like, do you go, like--

do you write a verse, and then be like--

to say everything to my face

that you've been saying behind my back.

- I actually wasn't speaking behind your back.

I was speaking very openly in front of everybody.

- I stand by it. Joey is a bitch.

The only person that likes Joey is Audrina.

Joey's done a good job of putting thoughts in her mind

of me hooking up with Justin.

- I just wanna say, Joey's not the one starting these rumors.

Yeah, I did see behavior.

Like, you guys are very comfortable with each other.

And everything people have been saying--

We've become really good friends.

At this point, I think that Justin and Stephanie

do have something going on.

I mean, they say they're not together.

But then they go sneaking off together.

They left the club together in Vegas.

- I did not ever hook up with him.

Like, honestly, I'm so far beyond that.

It's actually really hurtful to me

that I've said it to your face numerous times

and you've said back to me, "I know you didn't."

And then you get around Joey.

My friendship with Justin

is definitely the most important relationship in my life.

All of my friends in LA, they're all married with kids.

So the older I get, it's just lonelier and harder.

And Justin has been a rock.

I have not done anything wrong.

And you're so desperate for me to have done something wrong

that now it's frightening.

- Oh god.

- We have a lot of common. We're both single.

We don't have children.

He also helped me through a really tough time

with my brother that no one else did.

- JOEY: I would love for you to be, like,

a little more sensitive. Like, I'm pretty sure

that Audrina was in love with Justin

at some point in her life, right?

Imagine if you were in love with somebody

at some point in your life, and Audrina was like,

"Oh, I'm so sorry,

"but we have a special, cute relationship

and he was there for me when nobody else was."

- It is a little hurtful.

- STEPHANIE: Joey, I've been being sensitive

to what Audrina has been telling me.

I don't have all the time in the world to talk to Audrina

and then go home and be like, so what did she really mean?

- Because you don't really care.

It's like, that's what good friends do.

- I go home and I go to bed. I don't think about you

all night like you think about Justin and I.

- Steph had to get, like, another stab to the heart.

She just had to, like, twist that knife.

what's been going on.

But I don't think that Frankie's is the right place for that.

- I mean, I don't blame you.

I feel so bad for Audrina all the time.

If Stephanie and Justin would just be honest,

I think Audrina could handle it.

It's just that she feels like she's not being told the truth.

I'm bummed you're not coming, but I have to do my makeup,

my hair, and I want to go whiten my teeth.
