Somebody's wounded soul is

burning in the lonely sky.

And eyes that have never known love...

...seek the reason hidden in the dark.

Tekkaman Blade

Just hold me close, and tell me how you feel.

As tears fall from your eyes for no reason

Love is endless violence... and this entire world...

...will be embraced by its last brilliance.

Ah... Who needs yesterday...

In the year 192 according to the Allied Earth Calendar...

...mankind is on the brink of extinction.

The Orbital Ring was built to realize mankind's...

...dream of venturing to other planets, but it has been occupied...

...by mysterious alien life-forms called the Radam.

Trapped on the ground, mankind has...

...no way of avoiding the attacks from the Orbital Ring.

The land has been gutted, and cities have been destroyed.

Earth is steadily heading toward ruin.

THE RED MENACE, TEKKAMAN EVIL

We'll be targeting these four generators that are...

...crucial to the Orbital Ring's energy supply line.

If all four are destroyed, the energy supply to the Orbital Ring will be...

...completely cut off.

This will deliver a decisive blow to the Radam.

That's what we'll try to achieve during this mission.

The operation will be divided into two stages.

The first stage is a diversionary tactic. Here is the so-called Radam nest...

...code name "Cobweb", the first squadron will pulverize this area.

King Squadron from the ground and Queen Squadron from space...

...will attack simultaneously.

Lured by these squads, the Radam should gather around the Cobweb.

Then the second group will carry out an attack to destroy the generators.

It may be a diversion, but the first stage will require a large-scale attack.

The second part will be carried out by the Space Squadron "Four Card".

How are your preparations going?

I believe we'll be ready.

Each ship in the Four Card Squadron will be manned by the following...

...1 pilot, 1 co-pilot, 5 infantrymen, and 3 Special Operations soldiers.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to inflict...

...critical damage on the Radam with conventional weapons.

Therefore, the first-stage attacks by "King" and "Queen"...

...as well as the Four Card Squadron's second-stage attack...

...must be swift and accurately timed, otherwise this plan will fail.

If the mission succeeds, Radam supplies will be cut off completely.

For the Radam young, it will be like depriving newborns of milk.

Operation Sunset... after we've successfully completed this mission...

...there will be no more Radam falling to Earth.

Freeman, we've made our decision.

I want your squad to execute the diversionary attack on the "Cobweb".

Are you telling me to use my people as bait?

Unfortunately, Tekkaman's the only one who can fight...

...the Radam on equal terms.

And if that's true...

We must think of survival chances.

Listen, there's just one thing you've got to keep in mind here.

The emergency escape route. Take a look at the board now.

He's pretty good as an instructor.

That's because he's from the military academy, but he didn't like how...

...rigid it was there, so he decided to join this organization with the Chief.

So, the problem is the terrestrial gravitation area.

When the axis rotates in reverse...

I haven't been in space for 20 years!

Hey, you! You need to pay attention!

You fall to Earth because of the loss of centrifugal force, right?

Uh, yeah.

They didn't summon me from the Reserve Corps for nothing!

Ha! I thought I spotted an old rookie, but it turned out to be a real geezer.

I may be a geezer, but I'm a pilot.

Listen up, you fledglings!

What's the most important thing for a space pilot to have?

Huh? Yes, sir!

I believe it's the will to show the Radam what we humans are made of!

What's so funny? I'm going to help Tekkaman and...

...succeed in the mission!

Well, we're counting on you, kid!

Old man, that Watts kid is young, but he's our No. 1 pilot in the simulator.

Well, listen, this time around it's a real space battle... little boy.

Excuse me, I'm not a child! I'm a co-pilot in Four Cards!

Good, I like your attitude!

Yes, sir!

Listen up, the most important thing to have is a strong will!

To be able to make clear-headed decisions and...

...to see your mission through no matter what!

Hey, kids, speak up! Are you ready?

Yes, sir!

We'll eliminate the Radam with our own power, and take back space!

Yes, sir!

The military wants you to take part in the diversionary attack.

Needless to say, it'll be dangerous beyond compare.

I don't have a problem with that.

The success of the operation depends on the diversion, right?

I'd rather focus on fighting the Radam than be part of a cheap trick.

Easy for you to say.

Don't forget about us... we're the ones who have to back you up!

How does it feel to be awake, Tekkaman Evil?

Come on, let's go look at the sunset.

Okay, roger!

First-stage Squadron "King", operation start!

Right!

Hey rookie, aren't you too young to go into space?

No, it's fine, sir. One of my classmates is in Strategic Command.

Is that right? Very impressive!

Yes, he's an operator!

Then you'd better work just as hard as him!

I'm counting on you, co-pilot!

Yes, sir!

Operation Sunset start!

King and Queen have started their maneuvers according to schedule.

Don't move back!

Squadron One, King, engaging the Radam in battle ahead of schedule!

What about Squadron Two, Queen?

They're crossing the Radam sky border.

Good, send in Four Cards!

Diamond Leader, please start!

Oh, it's Luis!

Are you ready, Second Lieutenant?

Yes, Colonel Carter!

Yes, let's go!

Good luck, Diamond Leader!

Diamond, Club, Spade, Heart...

...the Four Cards Squadron has launched on schedule.

Good luck, Watts!

Queen has crossed the Radam sky border.

The Air Force squadron has launched its border attack.

King is now in battle with the Radam. They're having trouble advancing.

This is Queen Leader. We've arrived at our target.

This scenery always makes me sick.

This is Queen Leader, we're going to launch Joker now!

Tek-setter!

Roger!

Tekkaman Blade!

Let's go!

Joker has launched!

This is King, we're unable to advance!

Dammit, what are they doing up there?

This is Queen Leader, we are now in battle with the Radam.

Joker is about to enter the Cobweb.

This is King Leader!

Send King a backup unit!

Yes, sir!

Fire, Pegas!

Pegas!

Good, we've touched down!

For a first-timer, you did a hell of a job, Watts.

The operator was a classmate of mine, so that relaxed me.

Report to Strategic Command now, Second Lieutenant!

Huh?

Right now!

Yes, sir!

Club is on point.

This is Diamond Leader! Diamond Leader has completed its maneuver.

Are you okay?

Yeah, although I was a little nervous. How about you?

I've been nervous the whole time!

Operator, what's going on with your report?

Okay, see you at Mirao's.

The same time as usual, right?

Space, Diamond, Club, Heart...

All four cards in the squadron have entered the Ring on schedule!

All right!

This is King Leader! Requesting permission to retreat!

Stand fast! The backup squad will be there soon!

Pegas!

Club to Strategic Command! Our work will be done in 10 minutes.

Good, hurry!

Club has completed its maneuver! Spade and Heart have also finished!

What about Diamond?

This is King! We can't take this anymore!

This is Queen. Joker's time limit is approaching.

Please advise me of the current situation!

Strategic Command! Give me the order to retreat!

Captain King, retreat! Queen, stay where you are!

This is Diamond Leader. Our diversionary squad is fighting Radam!

What!

Damn, can't we summon Diamond's diversionary squadron?

I've been trying to contact them but no luck so far!

We're only receiving broken messages as well!

Please advise me of the current situation!

Send Queen to Diamond Point!

That's too far!

I just told them the time limit's almost up!

Dammit, what's going on with the operation?

We've got to get D-Boy back!

Hurry, D-Boy!

This is Diamond. The maneuver's complete! We're pulling out now!

Good, hurry!

Here they come!

All right, let's go! Huh?

Did the operation fail?

They did it!

Yeah!

Operation Sunset, huh?

I see now.

Watts! Watts, you did it!

Piece of cake! I'll be back right after I get a picture of this!

This is Club! The enemy is coming.

Something's...

Spade, Club, Heart... all of the channels have been disconnected!

But why?

Watts! Diamond, this is an emergency!

Run, get out of there, all of you!

Watts, you've got to get out of there!

Get out of there! You've got to get out of there now!

Something just passed us!

What was it?

We can't get out of the way! Sorry, Watts...

Colonel Carter!

But that's... No way!

It's a Tekkaman!

Watts!

But why? Who the hell...

What the hell's going on, D-Boy?

It's the enemy's new Tekkaman... he's here now.

New Tekkaman?

Who is it this time?

Blade, this is what you're going to become!

Cold as ice... my motherland...

Tell me the reason for your sorrow.

Will there never be an end to this battle?

I don't need any sweet dreams right now.

Ah... I'm going to rip out the pages of

my memory until yesterday...

Ah... And search for the path beyond these tears.

In the city, Aki runs into someone who looks like D-Boy.

The two D-Boys are drawn towards each other for a fateful reunion.
