(Most Wanted Suspects)

(Cho Myung Geun, dead)

- I told you. It's not me. - Hey. Don't fool around.

- Take her over there. - I'm serious. It's not me.

- Come on. - Quiet down.

- It wasn't me. - Don't hit the desk.

What's the commotion about? What is it?

Can't you tell? It's a pickpocket.

- I'm not a pickpocket. - I saw it with my own eyes.

- I'm telling you. I didn't do it. - Don't hit this.

Is this what she stole?

I didn't steal it. It's my uncle's.

Fine. Just tell me the contacts of your guardians.

I don't have any.

You just said this is your uncle's.

What do you mean you don't have a guardian?

Actually, I found it in a taxi.

Are you trying to fool me?

- Cho Myung Geun? - Stop lying.

Stop it, okay?

Hey.

Why do you have a dead person's wallet?

What? A dead person?

What are you talking about? I didn't kill anyone.

- Hey. - I didn't kill him.

- Wait. - I didn't kill him.

What are you talking about?

This wallet...

belonged to Cho Myung Geun.

That's true.

I think we were right. Cho Myung Geun is still alive.

What should we do?

We should reinvestigate since we found evidence.

What about her?

I think she's a petty criminal. Put her behind bars for a few days.

The important thing is...

catching Cho Myung Geun.

Do you have a plan?

We should find...

a new person who will sneak into...

Cho Myung Geun's gang.

(Case 10, The Evil Chain)

Welcome.

- Can I have your CCTV image? - What?

Oh, this way.

Why are you making gimbap?

Are you going on a picnic?

If you're with someone you love,

anything would be fun as picnics and parties.

Are you talking about Se Ra?

Hey.

Stop eating.

Make your own.

Gosh.

How devoted!

- Take care of my brother's case! - Hey.

I'm always thinking about it.

As I put each of the ingredients like this, I think of you.

For each ingredient, I think of you.

I'm always thinking about what I should do with you.

I can see you're only thinking about girls.

Do you expect me to believe you?

I always tell you this.

Among faith, hope and love,

have faith at least.

Have faith in me.

You're talking nonsense again.

Where is San?

I haven't seen him today.

He wakes up really early these days.

Goodness.

Gosh, you little...

How is it?

It's amazing.

It's as if each of the ingredients are alive in my mouth.

Even your words are beautiful.

Do you really feel the ingredients?

Among the ingredients,

my love towards you is the most expensive ingredient.

As you chew, you'll taste it.

As I chew, it's not salty enough.

Also, the rice is too watery.

- Really? - Yes.

Then don't chew. Just swallow it.

He's dead inside.

That's why I hate scientists.

You say it's not good, but you almost finished it.

It looks like it will take a while.

Do it as fast as you can.

I'm in a hurry.

Did something happen to Goo Hyung?

Maybe Se Ra rejected him.

He was in a good mood in the morning and now, he's not.

It's not that.

What's up with him?

It's Jung Yu Jin, isn't it?

What on earth is happening?

I'll go...

and ask Yu Jin myself.

This is so confusing.

On that day,

when I first saw you...

What if...

I refused to be on the mission?

I thought about it over and over after I lost Yu Jin.

If I could go back in time...

Yoon San, Kang Tae Woo and Jung Yu Jin.

The dean is calling you.

- You're nervous, right? - What?

You're fiddling with your pendant again.

It's my habit that I do when I'm nervous.

Why is he calling us? It's making me nervous.

I think I know why.

The three of you will...

infiltrate into a criminal organisation...

that we're secretly investigating.

I want your help on the mission.

Can you do this?

Can you do this?

- Yes, we can. - Yes, we can.

Are you worried?

- I am. Aren't you worried? - Me?

I don't know.

I'm kind of excited since they said it'd be dangerous.

Goodness. You have a lot of guts.

- You fool. - Your guts wouldn't be so helpful.

- What do you mean? - Don't be overconfident.

Your overconfidence...

makes people around you nervous.

This is not overconfidence. It's conviction.

Well...

You wouldn't know how it feels.

What?

Why are you two bickering again?

Fine.

- Are we at the right place? - Yes.

The address says so.

We should just go in and find out.

Have a seat.

Your house looks great.

I guess they pay you well these days.

I don't think it's his house.

Why do you think so?

Well... You were looking for the cups.

You didn't know where they were.

I thought you were not familiar with this house.

Also,

this sweater...

looks too big for you.

That's why.

Well, if that's the case,

it may be that I don't get many guests...

and so forgot where the cups for the guests were.

Also, I may just like big clothes. Don't you think?

It's possible,

but you don't normally hang another man's picture in your house.

There are many of them.

As I heard,

you're sharp-sighted.

You're right. This house is going to be...

your safety house for a while.

For how long?

Until you dive into the enemy's position and complete your mission.

What is the mission?

His name is Cho Myung Geun.

He's known as the president of CMK Networks, a distribution company.

The real identity of this company is pyramid scheme.

The pyramid scheme?

As you know,

he committed a multi-million dollar fraud and disappeared.

The damage was 3 billion dollars, and there were 50,000 victims.

It turned out Cho Myung Geun died while fleeing.

But a few days ago,

We found the evidence that he is still alive.

Did you say Cho Myung Geun is still alive?

We're not sure yet. I'm saying it's possible.

Right now, CMK Networks is...

continuing their operations after changing the name...

to Challenger.

Are you saying that Cho Myung Geun forged his identity...

and is running the Challenger?

Nothing is for certain.

I believe that the truth...

behind his life or death must be inside Challenger,

and that's why you'll be sneaking in.

Many detectives tried to infiltrate it,

but no one has succeeded so far.

All of them are...

currently missing.

Do you think it could be someone internal from the police?

That's why I went to school myself.

I needed someone...

who's not on the police database...

with an unexposed identity.

Also, they mostly target university students for multi-level marketing.

Not having field experience is a crucial weakness, though.

That's why you will be staying here for a while...

to get trained for infiltration and adaptation.

Cho Myung Geun died, but we continue to see victims.

It means there's a bigger power behind him.

Your job is to find out the truth about Cho Myung Geun and Challenger.

This is the consent form for you to participate in this mission.

If something goes wrong,

there won't be any compensation nor any explanations.

It could be much more dangerous than you think.

You're free to leave now if you're unsure.

(Mission Participation Consent Form)

I'm in.

(Kang Tae Woo)

(Yoon San)

(Jung Yu Jin)

There's something you must keep in mind before going in.

Understand your opponent...

before making a move.

This is an organisation chart of a pyramid scheme.

How do people first get involved?

A single phone call.

Are you saying the fraud happens because of a call?

You receive a call from a close friend.

She says you can make 10,000 dollars a month easily.

Would you be interested or not?

It's tempting.

Everyone would think that it's strange, but they'd be tempted.

These people become the company's source of revenue.

They are easily persuaded.

They end up getting loans...

in order to reach their way to the top.

This is when the chain of evil begins.

In order to pay back their debt,

they bring in others. The chain of evil.

All right. Are you following so far?

Yes, but I can't really imagine it.

It sounds so foreign to me.

You have a long way to go.

Let me explain it to you in more detail.

He should be here by now.

Whose birthday is it? Why did you make me get chicken?

You're here.

Are you guys the ones Goo Hyung talked about?

You can introduce yourselves later. Do you want to earn money or not?

- Of course I want to. - Does it cost for you to sit?

- No. - Then sit down.

Okay.

I'll teach you how to earn money.

Let's make an assumption.

Let's say you raise chicks into chickens...

and you earn 5,000 dollars a month from it.

As for me, I don't need to work. I just have to bring people over,

and I can make 5,000 dollars as well.

Are you talking nonsense again? I'm leaving.

Is she pretty or not?

- She's pretty. - If she begs you to stay,

- do you still want to leave? - No.

Tell him to sit down.

- Please, sit down. - Okay.

He sat down. See?

When you confuse a person of the opposite sex,

you call it a psychological warfare.

It's a really good tool for committing crimes.

Give me everything you have on you.

I used all my money on this.

- Give me your wallet. - I don't have anything.

- You don't? - No.

Don't worry. I'll help you lend money.

Hello? Hello?

- Yes. - I have a friend...

who has great credit.

Can you lend him some money?

Here.

- Did you get money? - Yes.

Show me. Let me see.

I'll take this money,

and you can have all of these.

I don't need 3. I only need 1.

Why only one?

Are you going to eat alone? All by yourself?

Think carefully. I'm sure you have someone you want to eat with.

You have to damage it so that they can't return it.

- You can eat it all. - You...

You ripped it all,

so I should eat it.

Did you see that? He was going to leave, but he's eating chicken now.

Once you take a bite, you'll have to keep on eating.

You made him use money, so he's eating it.

After he's done, he'll be calling everyone that he knows...

in order to replenish the money he used earlier.

Once you force him to take a bite, he can't spit it back out.

Since he can't eat all three chickens,

he'll end up bringing in random people.

Give me your phone.

Why do you need it?

It won't cost you, so just give it to me.

Let's see who's in here.

Why do you not have anyone we can bring in?

What kind of life did you live?

I can't understand.

Why do you have to borrow money,

and why you have to bring people in?

It doesn't make sense to lose so much.

You're right.

If you look closely, none of it makes sense.

However, a human's greed is...

a lot more dangerous than you think.

You know you shouldn't have, but you started the gig.

If you see a loss,

you want to pass it on to someone else instead.

That's human nature. Okay?

If one of you gets into Challenger,

that person will lure in another one of you after settling in...

to infiltrate the company.

You're in the same age group,

and you're all students. Your identity is unexposed.

I'm sure you'll be much safer than our previous agents.

Or we could disappear after lasting a few hours longer.

That's another possibility.

Is that scaring you?

No, that's not what I meant.

Good.

I'll now tell you who will be sent in first.

I'll go first.

No, I'll go first.

I'll go. Don't let pride get to you.

I think you're the one who can't let go of his pride.

Since this is an important mission,

why don't we choose according to our grades?

But... This is real.

I'm not stupid enough to hear that from you.

Stop it, you guys.

Tae Woo and Yu Jin. You two will try to sneak in first.

Since you two are dating,

your personal emotions might get in the way of the mission.

San and I will be the backup.

It's all good.

His name is Im Hyun Tak.

He's our secret contact.

His position is currently a diamond.

We found him while he was in private loans.

We talked him into helping us since I thought he'd be useful.

This is my friend.

- Please welcome him. - Welcome.

Shall we get started?

Today, I'm going to talk about Korea's...

network marketing business.

Challenger is the leading marketing company in Korea.

Take a look.

Network marketing isn't simply about selling goods.

It is about individual businesses maintaining members,

nurturing the organisation, educating, publishing...

and broadcasting.

The network in the 21st century is...

based on social networking.

These days, people live to 100,

but the retirement age is gradually decreasing.

Did you find our training helpful?

- Yes. - So...

would you like to join our company?

Frankly speaking, I didn't think it made any sense in the beginning.

But the more I hear about it, it sounds all right.

I'll join you.

That's great. You're decisive just as I heard.

Well... By the way, I have a question.

According to the training,

I can start from the silver level if I have enough money.

Is that right?

Yes. That's right.

Then I have no reason to start from the silver level.

- Pardon? - I should start from the sapphire.

He's more tenacious than I expected.

I like how you think.

I'm not saying it's not possible,

but that will cost a lot of money.

I do have some money saved up.

Are you sure that all I need is money?

Of course.

I see.

Go ahead and check.

I'm sure it's the right amount.

I didn't know you'd bring cash.

I look forward to working with you.

Likewise.

Let me introduce a new sapphire member.

Please welcome, Kim Sang Woo.

Thank you.

This is not a pyramid scheme.

Our network business is totally legal.

We're not a multi-level marketing company.

- If you're uncomfortable with it, - Yes.

You can start from a lower level.

Just looking at it makes my stomach churn.

- Can we use them? - No.

We used public funds, so we have to submit it for evidence.

Anyway, this is the real game.

Sure. It's time for the second batter.

That's amazing. You already brought a friend.

It's because it's a good business.

I want her to be successful.

That's right. The goal of our business is...

to be successful together.

You've made a great decision.

Thank you. I don't know much about the business, but I trust my friend.

Don't worry. We'll help you out.

Now, could you fill out this form?

(Sponsor's name: Kim Sang Woo)

(Sponsor's name: Kim Sang Woo, Phone number: 010 982 9837)

(Relationship with the new member: Girlfriend)

He's deeply immersed in the situation.

I didn't know she was your girlfriend.

You two make a good couple.

How did you two meet?

- We had the same part-time job. - On a blind date.

What is that?

Did you meet on a blind date or at a part-time job?

Some part-timers went on a blind date and that's where we met.

So we're both right.

I see.

Please continue filling out the form.

That was close.

I know. I was really nervous.

Thank goodness.

Why did you go overboard? You could've said she's your friend.

Don't say that. I didn't realise what I was writing.

No, I think it could work to our advantage.

That company is against dating at work.

But you have to stay close to each other. So it's better this way.

Right.

We may face situations like today.

I think you two should be fully prepared.

What do you mean?

You two should really date.

That's until you complete the mission.

What I mean is that Tae Woo and Yu Jin need time...

to get to know each other better just like a real couple.

Since you are disguised as a couple,

you can't make any mistakes.

What do you think?

Yes. You're right.

I think it's safer for them to do as you say.

Okay.

Are you okay with this, or are you pretending to be okay?

What do you mean?

It's a simple question.

I accidentally told them Yu Jin is my girlfriend.

I was wondering if you're really okay with that.

This is work.

Why are you so relaxed?

What are you talking about?

No matter what I do, you don't seem to care.

I got a bigger role than you for this mission.

Have you ever been jealous of me?

Do I have to be? We're friends.

Right.

Hey.

Protect Yu Jin in the field.

I will.

Hello.

I'm sorry it took so long.

How did it go?

I got the plate number for the taxi.

(Seoul 37 BA 5719)

(Seoul 37 BA 5719)

Yu Jin, you know what?

When you're reading a book...

or focusing on something, you're really pretty.

- You know what? - What?

You said the same thing when you asked me out for the first time.

- Did I? - Yes. Who else did you say that to?

You. I said it to you.

Who else would I say it to? I'm just a little embarrassed.

Tae Woo will...

protect you in the field. Don't worry.

San, what happened earlier was...

What did I say when I gave you this?

I said that we should trust and protect each other.

No matter what happens,

we should trust and protect each other, okay?

Wear it at all times.

Thank you.

Where are we?

We're almost there.

Well...

I'm not sure if I can tell you this.

I used to know my way around the streets back in my days.

I got chills on my back.

Is she...

someone important to you?

Yes.

I'm jealous that you have someone so precious to you.

I'm not sure what stories you have,

but be careful.

- What are you thinking about? - What?

I'm just wondering why you're grinning so much.

Are you that happy to go on a date with me?

I'd be honoured, but I'm sure that's not it.

You're right.

I'm so happy to go on a date with you.

Yu Jin, you're such a bad liar.

How are you going to succeed our mission?

That's why I'm out here to practise.

Why are you whining? Are you trying to be cute?

All right. Then...

let's really make it look real.

- Make it look real? - Yes.

Here.

Now, this looks more like it.

Let's go watch the movie.

What is this? Are we watching on beds?

Yes.

I've only heard of these. They look comfy, don't they?

Let's lie down.

Here.

Hey, it's like a swamp.

Lie down.

Hey.

You're blocking the people behind you.

Isn't it amazing?

You'll sink right in.

This tastes great.

Have some.

I'll eat it myself.

We're dating right now.

It's good, right?

- What is it? - What?

Nothing.

It's bothering you, isn't it?

What is?

You know what I'm talking about.

- You're bothered. - I don't know what you mean.

I'm not bothered at all.

It's okay. Don't act like you're fine.

You're bothered, right?

I don't feel so good today.

I'll eat this later.

He's bothered.

I think it was...

quite good... Gosh.

What's wrong with him?

- It was a good movie, right? - Yes.

You slept, didn't you?

No, I watched.

- You didn't sleep? - No.

Should we sit here for a bit?

Sure.

Hey.

The weather's so nice.

It's perfect for a date.

You're right.

I should come with San next time.

The three of us can come together next time.

It'll be fun.

Okay. Let's do that.

Hey. You and San...

look uncomfortable with each other sometimes.

People with different personalities and tastes don't get into trouble.

But San and I...

both hate losing,

and we have similar tastes.

Especially in choosing a woman.

I'm just kidding.

Yu Jin.

Do you have anything curious about me?

You?

It's still...

our first date.

Are you back?

- Why are you up? - I was just working.

At this hour?

Of course. I have to work hard.

You were waiting for me, weren't you?

I was waiting for so long.

I waited for you.

Our sales this month dropped from last year's sales.

What happened?

You need to focus, okay?

- We're first in the field. - Okay.

Don't lose focus, and do your best.

- Okay? - Yes.

Let's do a cheer.

- Challenger! Challenger! Let's go! - Challenger! Challenger! Let's go!

- I know. - Right?

- Are you back? - Yes.

Did you eat?

Everyone.

These two just got promoted from sapphires to rubies.

Please give them a round of applause.

- Congratulations. - Congratulations.

Thank you.

This chart outlines the individuals with the most sales this month.

Kim Sang Woo is in first place and Lee Yu Jung is in second.

They had excellent performance.

Please give them a round of applause.

Thank you.

I'll work even harder. Let's go, Challenger!

Let's finish off our meeting with our slogan.

Challenger! Challenger! Let's go!

- Let's succeed. - Let's succeed.

Let's succeed.

- Let's do our best. - Yes.

Thanks to all of you,

Challenger is on the fast track to success.

Let's press on even harder...

to create an amazing company.

Challenger!

- Let's succeed. - Let's succeed.

Let's succeed.

You should give her a bite instead of eating by yourself.

- Okay. - That's right.

Enjoy.

- You're so conceited. - Here.

- Yes. - My goodness.

- It's always like that. - I know.

All right. Two more.

Let's have the last round of drinks.

- Mix it for us. - For Challenger!

- For Challenger. - For Challenger.

- Drink up. - Let's die while drinking.

You have to drink all of it. No leftovers are allowed.

- Thank you for the food. - Thank you.

- That was good. - Yes.

Bye, everyone.

- Make sure to come to work. - Bye.

- Take care. - Bye.

Hey.

Yu Jin.

You're so drunk.

Be careful.

What's this? What happened?

Hold on.

Tae Woo. Can you hear me?

Am I not good enough for you?

What do you think you're doing?

What were you thinking? Why did you turn off the radio?

Let's talk tomorrow.

This is not a children's game. What were you thinking?

Goo Hyung. Please.

Goodness.

Have you ever been jealous of me?

Do I have to be? We're friends.

Protect Yu Jin.

Do you like San that much?

Tae Woo. Tae Woo.

- Can you hear me? - Yes.

Are you with Yu Jin?

Her phone is off, and I can't locate her.

She went with Bang Su Jin.

She may be out of reach because of the training.

I'll go and look for her.

What happened?

Why is Bang Su Jin alone?

Where is Yu Jin?

What do you think you're doing?

We don't know the situation yet. Don't act hastily.

I don't take orders from you.

I'm the one on the field. I'll decide what to do.

Tae Woo. Tae Woo!

Goodness!

I didn't realise a rat has sneaked in.

What is this thing?

Well...

I think I entered the wrong room.

I'm sorry.

You're bold.

Your acting isn't that bad.

Rats are known to have high reproduction rate.

I was curious about the one he bred this time.

You seem a little different.

Then...

How would your mate be?

Who are you? What are you doing?

You...

have underestimated us.

Let Yu Jin go.

Of course I will.

But it's up to you.

What do you want from me?

Bring Cho Myung Geun to me.

Cho Myung Geun?

I thought he is dead.

Don't lie to me.

You and I both know that he's still alive.

I'll tell you where he is now.

Bring him to me within two hours.

If you fail to do so,

your girlfriend...

will die.

If you know where he is, you can find him yourself.

Are you going to stand there and keep talking?

You don't have much time.

Who are you?

I'm a policeman.

A policeman?

Cho Myung Geun.

Are you...

from Challenger?

You don't know anything, do you?

What is all this?

It's ultraviolet rays.

I guess you're a human.

A human?

Did she promise you that she would turn you into a vampire...

if you take me to her?

What are you talking about?

Do you really not know?

Challenger is not the ordinary multi-level marketing company.

They deal with something else.

What is that?

Human lives.

They approach people with a patient in the family.

First, they disguise it as if they're selling health supplements.

After studying the family, they reveal their true intention.

A shot for just 6,000 dollars.

With that, the patient regains their life.

That's how they become one of them.

A vampire.

Honey.

That's when Challenger's real business starts.

They provide them with blood...

while collecting the blood of the family members for distribution.

It's a circular system.

After that, the family is given new identification cards.

They then live as different people.

But there's a certain condition behind it.

The helper.

Any member joining in as a helper...

must not talk about the company's secrets,

and they are not allowed to get out.

The moment they violate these rules,

they will die.

Then...

are you one of the helpers?

My daughter...

I had to save my daughter.

That's why...

Where did all the detectives go...

that were sent before me?

They're probably...

dead already.

How can you call yourself a human?

Yo Na.

Did you meet her?

Even if you take me, she'll kill.

Kill who?

You.

And...

anyone that's involved with you.

What are you talking about?

Please, just kill me.

I'm so tired.

I want to end it all.

How did it go?

How did what go?

Oh, Cho Myung Geun?

What he said...

was true.

Are you surprised?

It's too early for that,

considering what...

you'll experience from now on.

I'll drink up...

every drop of your blood.

No.

You won't be able to.

Why are you so sure about that?

Because...

if you kill me,

you won't be able to see Cho Myung Geun again.

I hid him somewhere covert.

You'll never be able to find him.

You...

I thought you were a rat, but you're a snake.

Bite me.

What did you say?

Bite me...

and make me into one of you.

Do you even know...

what that means?

I...

need the power you have.

To have what I want,

I must...

I must have it.

That's true. You were different from the start.

I could see...

a strong desire in you.

The desire that keeps you standing.

Did you know...

that any being full of desires...

is dangerous?

Then let's end it here.

With this gun,

Cho Myung Geun, you...

and I...

will all lose.

Do you really think so?

Cho Myung Geun ran away from the company knowing all the secrets.

If you don't get rid of him,

the organisation will collapse.

I'm holding the key.

Don't you know that?

Do you have the nerve...

to pull that trigger?

Well...

We'll see.

Kang Tae Woo.

Kang Tae Woo.

Kang Tae Woo.

Especially in choosing a woman.

We're dating right now.

Protect Yu Jin.

It's...

too late to go back now.

(Vampire Detective)

I'm sorry.

She's still alive.

I need to find out what happened to Yu Jin.

Yu Jin is mine now.

We don't know where to start.

Bring that list to me.

Then I'll help you meet Yu Jin.

Who's the girl that just walked out?

Now, I'm going to perform a test.

What is this?

The tiger is losing his patience.

Let me kill San.

What are you doing?

Don't you get it? It's the USB that San took.

Do you realise how important this is to me?

San died anyway.

Get down!

I'm by your side.

Do you think I can find the answer to my question?
