and I think he sounds really cool in his upper register, too.

I think that, for me, you never want to be copying, right?

But at the same time, you have to be reverent to the record,

too, because it's such a special record

that, like, holds a place in so many people's hearts.

The power of this song is in the simplicity,

so all of that emotion and power

is there without trying to do too much.

This is a big choice. It's exciting,

but it's also maybe a little bit nerve-racking.

You want to keep the respect on it, yeah.

and it's such an all-time great song.

I feel like it's gonna stand out

if you can tap into where that song in your soul sits

and what it means to you.

Drew: To win this battle, I need to completely let go

and relate to that feeling of that vulnerability

and that rawness that comes with falling in love with someone.

My husband and I got married in 2022,

and we are very opposite in a lot of ways.

Sometimes I'm leather, sometimes I'm lace.

Ben as a father is amazing.

He is crazy supportive of me, especially my musicianship.

I can take the space and the time that I need

to pursue what's important to me.

And as a mom and a wife or just a partner in general,

that's not something that a lot of people get,

and I'm really grateful for that.

This is obviously an epic love song,

and I love Jared, but we're not in love.

So, like, where do you go to really sell that story?

I don't see it like you're playing a part

'cause then it can be fake.

It's the love of music. Like I said,

I've sung this song with all the people,

and our love of the song... Connects you.

...is kind of the romantic part of it, right?

It's not targeted at each other.

Like, if Benji and I were singing it,

it would definitely be a love song for each other.

You both do make each other feel even more special,

you know, singing together

because your voices are so different.

center around my life as a musician.

Every weekend, I'm in a different town,

so being gone a lot, it's very difficult,

but she's here to back me all the way.

She's the one that pushed me to sign up,

so if it wasn't for her, I would not be here.

My upbringing is in church. I'm from a small town.

Kelly: This has been the hardest Battles for me

because I wasn't able to be there at rehearsals.

she threw her shoe in y'all's rehearsal.

-She doesn't do that for everyone.

That's how you know you did it right!

She just said it was such a great pairing,

and so I knew that you could both handle this song.

Like, Tia, once again, you did some really interesting stuff

I think that's what's special about you,

is where your brain takes you melodically,

I think is very interesting and not many singers do.

Man, I've been at home with my babies, my kids.

But, you know, it's been kind of hard trying to balance school

more than the world to me to bring home that degree

and that trophy for my baby girl and her little brother.

KJ: When I'm at home and I'm in my downtime,

we're doing shows and we giggin' and making it happen.

I love it.

I try to sing every day, all day.

I gig as much as I can. I'm real structured.

I'm really just adamant about taking this opportunity

Making my parents proud is the thing that I live for.

They've sacrificed so much. My dad was in the military.

It was a choice made to provide for a family.

My dad's background taught me a strong work ethic.

I've been the kid, you know,

who was super creative but didn't like school.

Now that I've found something that I'm focused on,

I'm really harnessing it to let it push me to work more.

John: Well, I'm so excited to hear y'all sing "Let Me Love You"

written by the great Ne-Yo, performed by the great Mario.

This is one of the great classic R&B songs

truly of this last 25 years.

Both of you all are really good R&B singers,

but with really different tones.

I felt like this song would be a great song

for both of you to sing, so I'm excited to hear you.

Mike has all this air around his voice.

His tone is so distinctive.

A lot of guys with that kind of tone

don't have the range that Mike has,

so the combination of his tone and the range

he has is really exceptional.

Yeah, no, he can belt a little bit, which is good.
