We got battery operated cameras, motion activated, and night vision enabled.

Putting her teammate under the microscope is a waste of time.

I'd have spotted Warren.

Outs dude's getting to me, man.

Seals, they don't have the best reputation, so it could open Casey up to be painted as a rogue warrior.

Congestion box is open, Kyle.

College football, Marines, MMA.

Get ready for some climbing.

On that mountain.

DOJ investigation is going to find other Dutton skeletons that can hurt this team.

Didn't come a marshal to snoop on my teammates.

My friend said Clegg had a local attorney file the complaint, Andrew Schroeder.

Haven't found Carson's.

And we need to look into his Navy service, his life in Montana, find out who our teammate really is.

And the people you expect to have your back trying to punish you.

Mm.

Marshals, and we're here to help you, okay?

Nice.

Take Helen down too.

Buds.

I'd rather face off with that bear and see Gifford.

They found trail cams from a grad student in Missoula studying gray-crowned rosy finches.

I'm buying drinks for the people who saved the job of the man who saved his life.

Well, I've been through worse than a bullet on my doormat.

Bollage chaos.

I'm not waiting around to learn my fate.

So I called a friend at DOJ from law school.

This investigation is a great way for Gifford to destroy any trust that we've built with Casey.

Marshall should be more concerned about the actual criminal carrying their badge.

Was it extrajudicial?

We're gonna need an immediate cash back.

And he resigned a few weeks after.

It was a weak motive.

Part of coming out here was to escape it.

I'm not all out.

Them when I go home.

Any idea if Ernie has a relationship with Casey Dutton?

Well, Ernie and Monica Dutton worked together.

We don't know if Casey knew any of their history.

Windshield, rest of us are bugs.

They didn't have eyes on us yet.

OPR has clear the way for you to fire Dutton before they finish their review.

The Clegs were piggybacking off of it for hunting.

I get it.

Some of the elders think being a marshal makes me a traitor.

Says the guy has gotten a shot ever since he showed up?

From Get Me Out of Montana to Rodeo Bunny in the blink of an eye.

Yeah, it's a brutal group of steep peaks.

Even unmanned, leaves us with over a thousand square miles to cover on foot and a shortage of search and rescue qualified rangers.

Sorry to interrupt.

Are you telling me to manufacture evidence to support Kleck's claim?

Huh.

I'm just glad he's coming after my badge.

Bought a big chunk of land and thinks that makes him king of the valley.

Flying around in these conditions knowing the storms coming in, these ranchers get obsessed with their brands, start treating their people like livestock.

Oh, why?

In these conditions, extreme winds were not any weather report.

If we rebalanced the way it would help the chopper get under control when the winds kicked out, she saved your life, even though you valued your ranch more than hers.

Well, it's a he said, he said about whether or not Carson Clegg was armed when Casey shot him.

I'm not a human LinkedIn for the res, you know.

Other than defending his own life?

Steady.

Please are responsible for a hired bodycott today.

Now, I'm informing the Office of Professional Responsibility of the connection.

You can file that order if you want a job done right.

Took fire from two positions.

Well, I had your back just like you had mine.

Come on, does that not look like the eyes that the guy shot at us?

Claims you violated his son's civil rights when you killed him.

Reminding me of a good thing mine once did.

It's some U-turn you just pulled on that transplant.

I'm sure he doesn't think our pack protected him today.

Beginner's luck.

I'm on a date.

Okay, it's not like Casey is some dirty V-cop.

Not the first time I've been punished for doing what I thought was right.

Okay, so you can prove that Carson was unarmed when Casey killed him.

Highs in the crash side.

Circumstances surrounding his son's kidnapping recovery are sketchy.

Ernie's down in PT for his leg.

Look, I'm sorry, Cal, but looks like Dutton's goose is cooked.

Oh your head!

Turning your back on the res is kind of your thing.

How in the hell do we have mayo that's expired before this team's even stood up?

Rather intimate personal history?

A few years back, the militia kidnapped his son.

If we knock out this seat, we could probably pull him free, but we might break his leg in the process.

I got to Montana too late to meet him.

You had to learn the hard way with him.

To try and build something of my own.

Lost track of how many times you saved me today.

Belongs to the Quinns?

Yeah, that comes at a hell of a price.

I took this posting to move closer to her, but it's becoming clear that she'd rather have me out of her life than in her bar.

Or if my past has proved anything, whoever it is, they'll come for me.

Nothing but trouble.

No gun makes clearing case even more complicated.

This is my colleague, Andrea Cruz.

Making noise to the media will influence the DOJ's review of the complaint against Casey.

She's gone.

Well, Kyle's mentioned that he and other special operators struggled to turn off the switch when they got out.

So Clug may have a point.

There's no chance.

Cost him everything, so you aren't as bad so bad to yourself.

Figured a rancher needs his hat.

You had my back today, Casey.

She's just grateful we saved her, dad.

Team comes first above everything else.

Been dutton dragging this team down.

Andrew?

Well, given our relationship, I wanted to share that the Klagues are facing investigations on the local, state, and federal level.

Working for him made me rich, but I was never too fond of his shadow.

That all?

Do tell more high distracts are getting close.

Makes Montana less scary.

Well, the fact that we can keep a family's world from falling apart is justified.

Definitely more comfortable driving cattle than being jammed in like one.

This camera's working now.

You want to get out of this ditch that your old team threw you in.

Well, vertical climb means travel light, travel fast, so central gear only.

Everybody, meet the man who saved my life, Casey Dutton.

What do you say?

I guess being close to me comes at a cost.

You make a living suplexing cows?

That I keep delivering, making my bosses happy, will send me back to civilization soon enough.

And making threats?

Justified and right.

We had the sheriff search the scene again, looking for ways the Cleggs might have had eyes on Casey and Miles while engaged in a gunfight.

Let me lend you some hands.

Let me go remind him that his new client is an outlaw.

Because he'd spread the word at the country club?

This will do double duty.

Hmm.

Dare to be killed by a bear.

Well, this is no good for the pilot.

I cut my teeth on my grandparents' ranch in Wyoming as a kid.

Enjoy your family, sir.

Don't be a stranger, Miles.

Okay, so Miles said he didn't see anything because he was engaged with West Cleck, and there are no red flags in Casey's incident report.

Well, DOJ finding against Casey would set up Clegg to sue him.

That badge, the hell are Feds doing up here?

Yeah.

Glad you cleared this up.

You from around here?

Andro business can't be so bad that you have to advocate for actual criminals.

Just because I won't go to the bar with them doesn't mean I wouldn't jump into the fire for him.

Hey, look at me.

My pilot, Helen, she's a vet, too.

How?

Thank you.

Don't ever play me like that again.

I was just trying to figure out how much I gotta watch one of my guys' backs.

Sheriff's office finished processing the site.

Hey, you doing living all the way up here, huh?

Still got 300 pairs.

Nothing more personal?

Hey.

You saved my life and my pocketbook today.

Hey, look, I have questions about how you two arrived here together, but I'm just happy to have you here at all.

A cowboy, a seal, and a U.

I feel more like a hazer than a bulldogger as of late.

Please, I'm a damn mountain goat.

I'm not sure Tom Weaver deserves us risking our lives for him.

We upset a lot of people at the standoff.

Are there any updates on my father?

The man fell down a damn ravine.

She seemed so scared not knowing if her dad was dead or alive.

Cow, give it time.

Yeah, no more, no fun, I'm done walking the line.

You smell that?

I think it's gonna be safer if you tanny with Weaver.

He left a trail of bodies after his buddy Chairman Rainwater was almost killed, didn't he?

We all pursued the Cleggs to their hunting grounds.

Rescue mission takes priority.

How you doing?

Family name doesn't carry water anymore, so you gotta hide behind a federal badge.

You ready to bring your boy home?

Dismount and eat dirt.

We're gonna feed an immediate cash back.

Well, maybe he thought Carson had something to do with his father's death or his brother's disappearance.

How was your field trip?

He's looking.

I don't know if it's the same thing.

Thank you.

Bird went down upstream.

Belle.

What's your excuse?

No, you're not.

You want to deal with them?

All right, look.

I'm calmest in the chaos.

All Casey's deployments, no court martials, no captain's masks.

It's going to be that much harder for you to get reassigned to DC.

You gotta sit rip.

Shotgun we left on the horse would have helped.

It does.

Really?

No, hold on.

So, how do you know this fancy lawyer?

Given a power as close as a confession is Gutton's capable of, I mean, could this be more frontier justice?

This broke in down, Calboy.

Well, you up for some man versus nature Safer than what I'm facing here

I'm a kid.

Nice to you.

Hey, you know those claims don't have legs.

His dad was a livestock commissioner.

Did Casey have a connection to the broken rock man the Clegg shot?

But good luck.

They grew so close that he and his wife used to have Monica and her son over for dinner when Casey was deployed.

Clegg just needs to whisper that to the press, and they will have a field day exploiting the Dutton name.

Yeah, I get it.

I wish I knew a local that could give me a crash course and all things big sky.

You know, for what it's worth, I hated turning your world upside down.

You're actually rolling out with me because the Forest Service needs bodies to help with the search and rescue up at Bridger Range, and I'm betting you know the area.

No, no, no.

False summit, so I'm a bitch.

You good?

You let Casey know he's in the clear, right?

Mm-hmm.

Yeah, my old man was a hard ass, too.

I never met him, but his wife taught at Ernie's school.

Well, upside is pretty sure we got Gifford off your ass.

Yeah, see, I've come to learn Montanas don't do theatrics.

Going chills up for your friend is as admirable as it is unhelpful.

And in my sport, you don't use a rope.

He tells you something.

Leave my family something more than a stock portfolio.

Yes.

It may be a case of frontier justice.

Well, I don't think I'll remind you of him as a rancher.

About your gifts.

I'm gonna give it a little more time.

So, why have you decided he's guilty?

Carson's funeral and talking to the press.

Recovery team will get her later, okay?

Plenty of time for that.

Oh, I can't accept that.

I'll drink to that.

Upset Dolly robbed you of a chance to buy another round from your favorite bartender?

You know.

I was always sharing you on from afar.

I violated a lot of things.

Just try and keep up, Brian.

You're a lawyer?

Your teammates believe in you've got.

Bear bugged out for now.

Maybe it was detonated remotely.

I'll tell OPR to shove it.

Montana's not scary.

It's fair fight.

Barking up the wrong tree, hoss.

The gun's probably floating downriver.

S.

With the stories, it seems like he could have taught me a thing or two about ranching.

Serial bomber on the lamb for three years, Rudy Carpenter.

Feels especially wrong digging into a guy who keeps pulling our asses out of the fire.

Please help her.

We get it off this thing, our guts stay with it.

Don't focus on me.

You know, I get a sense that he's used to others failing to stand up for him.

Always has, right?

Come here.

You can zip time to a tree and just pick them up on the way down?

Marshal.

I was enlightening.

Oh, this thing is filthy, and this room is sterile.

Oh, I know what grateful looks like, and that is not how she's eyeing you.

Go you think you'll surrender?

Sorry to disturb you.

Maddie been out of her life over 20 years.

Could be anybody.

Here with my teammates.

That's it.

Look at me.

Well, since we're already taking the seat out, we can use that to stabilize his leg while we belay down.

It's only right I say thank you.

If you dropped it, I'd have seen it.

Is this what you being hard at work on the investigation looks like?

I'm saying that even if there's no smoke behind this Kleg fire

Bullets fired from Clegg's positions came from two weapons.

Gifford's way out of line backing up a bogus claim, man.

I see.

Sorry, sorry.

You are feeding Casey to the wolves based off a theory.

Look who it is.

Hey everybody, this is Dolly Weaver.

That's even less believable than you having a friend.

I haven't seen you since your birdie on 18 cleaned me out.

But what?

But I got no worries.

Hmm?

Aviation fuel.

Picked the wrong wagon train to ambush.

It's true I'd rather be back in DC than here.

Hell yeah.

And we're one for fitting in.

Best we find them ourselves or get buried when someone else does.

Trying to escape my dad's shadow just led me into more darkness.

Fine.

When was that?

You're going to head down to the ranger station and you're going to turn yourself in.

Sweet Andrea.

Negative.

First, we got separated by the IED.

He's also a member of the first family of Montana Ranchers.

I warned you hiring him was a mistake.

Yeah, all right.

Harry, did we know that you were coming?

His rights wasn't one of them.

Word on the Res was Casey took a bunch of ranch hands, let an assault get him back.

The only guy who never puked in the Hindu Kush can't handle Montana.

Is this Ernie Ko's room?

You take them from a fugitive again?

Andrew, we hear you filed a civil rights complaint against our teammate.

So what, you find losing the badge then?

Everyone knows the white man who used to break horses on the res.

Okay, you were on KC6 during the incident, so walk us through it again from the start.

Casey and I broke off from the team to outflank them, pushed up the hill.

Well, baby, packed her stuff up, she didn't even say goodbye.

How much exactly?

You don't like him because he's doing a bad impression of your dad, huh?

Your husband has dentists.

Let's go.

Close the lie.

Some way, somehow.

Yeah, I might have pegged him wrong.

They went bust overgrazing them pastures.

It's not about guilt.

All sites are grounded, but weather conditions are worsening.

So you'd rather hang out where you were threatened than with us?

Casey was his deputy.

Go ahead.

Oh, so you can prove that Clegg was unarmed then, huh?

Randall Clegg accosted you before you killed his son.

What will it be, Henry?

Messing with you too.

Good luck with your investigation.

You're a bad man for doing your job?

It's got nothing to do with you, okay?

He comes out of the chute when I do, and then another cowboy called a hazer keeps him on a path so I can get my angle.

Can you prove he wasn't?

Can you grab her wedding ring?

Mm-hmm.

Ambitions and achievements are two different things.

We should also sniff out if he's got any evidence he's holding back.

I learned that Dunton killed a man who had tried to kill someone important to his late wife.

All the skills my dad says you have?

All right.

Hey, you shoot one of us, man.

I'm on the clock for some land over in Spring Hill.

Wish we could have saved everyone, sir.

Get the fuzzy end of a lollipop at work for now.

We tried.

See you, Father.

I'm my own security system.

You missed the action, Bill.

Nothing brings me back to Afghanistan faster.

It's in your best interest to be very thorough in this investigation.

Look at that shine, Terry.

I'll get things started.

They know that property better than anyone.

Going around takes time we don't have only options straight up.

It didn't help though.

Hey, storm's getting close, so let's build this and boogie.

Begged me to come out just so I can watch y'all crying your beers.

I didn't realize that you knew him.

Well, she's lucky to have that kind of relationship with him.

You can ignore this threat.

Helicopter carrying Tom Weaver and his pilot called in an SOS after the wind kicked up.

I just need whatever supplies you have.

I am befriending my co-workers because I don't have one foot out the door.

Didn't work.

I need you out there protecting Montanans without having to worry about your ranch.

Just have to get to know it.

I left him a message, but haven't heard back.

I'm a bulldogger.

No.

Unless we can prove that Carson Clegg was armed when he was killed.

Everyone in Montana will cheer when a Dutton finally learns a badge isn't a shield for their sins.

Let you and I take a drive.

Sorry about your father.

Only on Wall Street.

Yes, thank you.

Heard your marshal now.

Don't need any with Gifford propping them up

Hey, you haven't uh seen a crashed helo around here, have you?

Pistols are just gonna piss it off.

Randall Clark was a pain in the ass for John Dutton when he was LifeSaw Commissioner.

You're gonna be good on that front.

Weapon firmly in hand.

When my father makes you an offer, you don't have a choice.

All right.

Because I might have kicked the hornet's nest there.

Clugg's fronting for sure, but Gifford's right about one thing: the complaint will impact the rest of the team.

Oh, they're investigating me.

Sensing you'll enjoy it.

Thumbs up cheering.

Well, Clegg claims that Carson dropped his weapon before you fired.

Yeah!

If he's here with his own personal agenda, how effective can this team be?

Casey is a chip off the John Dutton block, thinking he can play outside the lines.

In my experience, a wife knows more about her husband's business than he does.

Well, your teammates seem nice.

Those paint neat mats.

His wife, Queen of the PTA, you do couples' Pilates together.

It's a hard living.

Doubt that's the last time I'll deal with him or the Cleggs.

Yeah, it would explain why he was gunning for us.

They were shaking the damn thing.

Better get your hands dirty.

Nothing my dad despised more than internal affairs.

You two will be handling section D4.

Okay, I said I went to law school.

The other one's gonna kill you.

Go!

Now you can correct that.

I don't mean to crash the party, but my father insisted.

Thank you.

I know Schroeder.

Pretty much since birth.

Hey.

The sheriff missed the trail cams in the initial processing?

These bullets are meant for us.

Sorry, I was just wondering if you might know the collect family.

Miles?

Be nice to get Dolly Weaver some answers about her dad.

You should really put that gun down before you're getting yourself into some real trouble.

It feels wrong letting that guy go.

How's that for Thurau?

I'm in your debt.

Well, you can count on them to deliver.

Like I dunk on your ambitions beyond broken rock.

You got any proof?

Yeah, let's get back, man, because I want to dig into that guy who almost muts up to us.

Previously on Marshals.

Yeah, I know.

She's taking out some old beef with my dad on me.

All right, let's find a spot to cut it from the tree and once we're moving with her.

He was quite fond of her.

You have that mouth down cold.

Okay, so both men were armed, case closed.

That's precisely why I tasked you with finding Casey's skeletons.

Sorry, I swear I'm great at this.

I need an impartial review.

Sketchy.

I'm keeping this team away from his blast radius.

Hey, a decorated Navy SEAL missed a tripwire.

Okay, beginner's luck, huh?

Perhaps Carson Clegg dropped his weapon and you missed it.

Elevation's over 8,500 feet up there.

Wait.

Yeah.

Man, that cracked system allows somebody to walk up undetected and drop a shell casing on your porch.

What's with the face?

Well, some news is best delivered in person.

Seems like a good time to remind you that Captain Clegg was justified.

Got laid off.

He's basically a model sailor with a silver star to prove it.

I'm gonna stabilize Helen, okay?

Yeah, well, extraction strap is not going to work with a broken femur.

Guy has a track record of filing civil suits against law enforcement.

Damn straight.

Miles, what's going on?

Well, I sent Tate to his grandpa's and it took you three days to find this stuff.

How's it going?

It's like a yogo sapphire.

Maybe they did it through their office.

But not so much that it turns me into a rat.

Cheers.

Saddle up, cowboy.

Oh, whatnot?

Good foods in the good kitchen.

I'm gonna find some branches, stabilize his leg.

Wes and Carson were behind cover.

Okay.

Or a good one.

Did Casey have a reason to kill Clegg?

All justified.

Our collar just used their shotgun against us and beat me into the woods.

Seems like life of the party is not one of them.

Man, you could bet the field, my money's on them.

Maybe they got to it before law enforcement could.

And we don't get to pick our fathers.

Hearing a crackerjack like you quit the cattle gang getting me paws, though.

It's going to take at least two seasons before it's fit for cattle again.

So how are you?

Kyle's mentioned, huh?

Anything we have to cut her off is with the horses.

Helen's dead.

All right, man, let's get off this mountain before it throws anything else at us.

It's a law nature, right?

Well, not exactly, but this office needs to project a proactive stance against abuse of the badge.

Movie night with my kid took priority.

Love him.

I'm going back, I'm going back to getting out of my mind, yeah.

Let's be ready.

Just trying to keep you out of the line of fire.

So, what has my crack team learned?

Prefer her husband gets it from me than a stranger.

John Dutton was livestock commissioner.

Think anyone in this unit will have a career after that?

There's only one person who ever believed me to be a good man.

I know they have to, but.

Ernie Kenno?

Yeah, after digging into his past, it seems trouble's been hunting Casey his whole life.

I got my word.

The abuse of the badge looks pretty damn heroic to me, Harry.

Sabrina.

I didn't say I finished.

That uh land on Spring Hill, you were saying.

Oh.

You gotta be all in to have a hope of success.

Shooters are the Clyde brothers, Carson and West.

Deputy Cruz, you're in charge.

He's a transplant.

You got it?

One of us tandems, the other one uses the horse to handle any extra weight.

You're a Dutton?

You can't just ignore this, right?

Well, maybe the badge is a path to penance.

Well, you trusted Dutton's word at your own peril.

There's a sheen on the water.

Whatever happens, happens.

Last time I ended a teammate's career.

Progress a bad word around here.

You here looking for a gift for Jared?

I need to assess the rock covering.

I jump off a horse and wrestle a 400-pound steer.

Hey, look, we gotta cut her loose.

Check this out.

What in my worst nightmare, thanks to you two.

Wife left, lost my house.

Weak pause.

Bartender's my kid.

Traded badges to finally police for my people, but.

The point is.

Don't have much use for rules the rest of us follow.

Were there two of us at a cowboy bar?

We're all good.

We've worked up quite an appetite already.

One gun was recovered from Wes.

Schroeder is going to focus on Casey's character, make him out to look like a cowboy who ignores the rules.

Easy.

Wait, you were born and raised here.

Hey, check this out.

She needs your bulldogger for inspiration.

It's by the laws of nature now.

So's the Kwiaman act because you're taking in the scenery or you've plotted your revenge against Clegg.

Yeah.

We all are.

We both were.

All right, you get him down the hill.

So Dutton's in a timeout, and the rest of you get ahead of whatever the DOJ investigation will find.

The weather's only gonna get worse, so shove off.

We?

That's called frontier justice.

Excuse me, Auntie.

Glad you all are out here keeping people safe.

They're under-resourced and looking for a missing gun.

Saved my ass with the cleggs.

DOJ got a complaint from Randall Clegg.

You've heard of privilege.

.

Well, you do love reflective surfaces.

Yeah, bite down on this.

You just tend to his wounds, all right?

Wow.

We're still trying to locate it.

All right.

Deputy Cruz, what's in his closet?

Wasn't much for teaching.

So it sounds like the hazer does all the work, and then you get the glory.

So's Clegg.

I don't embarrass me in front of him.

I think we let one of America's most wanted go, specifically Rudy Carpenter.

Be a death sentence if the storm gets him before we do.

Yes, sir.

Meaning what exactly?

No way Henry was giving you a hard time, even though you probably deserve one.

He took on a militia with his cowboy buddies?

You can't pull a badge over dots that may not connect.

How would the club feel about you being associated with such lowlives?

It's kind of hard for your teammates to get close to you, man, if you always keep them at arm's length.

It's barely breathing.

Okay, yeah, rotary saw or Broco torch, it would be nice.

I mean, the woods are shadows.

No, but you wanted to tell her husband yourself.

Most one, two, three!

It's been a while.

I'll be back in 10 mics.

Marshal Gifford here would like to speak with Ernie.

But day for you, you kept your badge and you made a new friend.

Clear the road!

Service base, we have the downed Hilo, and we got two survivors in section D4.

And I can't bust jump anymore without playing down this mountain.

Woo!

I live off the land, or I don't live at all.

I wouldn't.

Hey.

I'm gonna pursue that recluse.

She's your daughter?

It took me a minute to special order the right gear for vengeful Klecks.

Bulldogger.

Survive or die.

I had no idea.

Dad, you get a good look at it from the back seat.

Wasn't gonna hurt anyone.

Move and you're dead.

I'm looking out for you.

Good luck to Clegg trying to paint a war hero in a bad light.

Just standoff between res and truckers trying to get to that new mile.

You mean since you ghosted me at our reunion?

You don't have eyes from above?

You don't say, ma'am.

I can't talk about my clients.

Okay?

Horse-assisted tandem belay.

City Slicker and Barris here at your own sport.

I'm gonna pursue!

We're armed, but thank you.

And he's still standing.

Sensing you boys were military.

I'll solo down, prep the horse.

Kind of envy the lack of gray area out here.

Hey, you Tom Weaver?

There was a note on one of the cams.

One, two, three.

Life's become more dangerous for me since becoming your brother.

Cow, over here.

One is done, right?

These are my neighbors.

Leave two men behind this time.

The wind up there is a no-go for air assets.

Your standard issue can't handle what's.

Okay.

Why'd you make her fall?

Mission's not over.

I have to be able to figure out.

Well, we are U.

Maybe.

Hill and thought.

Missed that damn.

Hey, it's a good one.

Yeah.

S.
