[The Best Thing]

[Episode 28: Honeysuckle Flowers] [Sweet in taste and cold in nature] [Nourishes the lung, heart, and stomach; reduces heat and detoxifies the body.]

What's wrong?

Don't you want to come back?

You're not enjoying it too much to come back, are you?

I'm not enjoying it too much to come back.

I still miss you a lot.

It's just...

Shen Xifan,

we have a seven-hour time difference.

If you don't tell me, no one will.

Don't worry.

Here's the thing.

As you know,

my global internship ends next week.

But I got a new opportunity.

A two-month internship at a six-star hotel.

There are only five spots available.

I think it's a rare opportunity,

so I applied.

Already?

No, just now.

It was just this noon.

He Suye, are you angry?

Don't be mad.

I didn't mean to not discuss it with you.

I just thought it was a rare opportunity,

so I wanted to apply and give it a try.

I might not even be able to go, really.

It seems you don't want to come back

or see me at all.

No, I miss you very much.

I want to go back and see you right away.

It's just two months, right?

Alright then.

After all, I was the one who encouraged you to study abroad.

But let me tell you,

you'll have to tell Mr. and Mrs. Shen yourself.

I'm not going to say anything.

Don't worry.

I'll definitely tell them.

What about the visa? Has it come through?

I've been looking into third-country visas these days.

There shouldn't be any problems.

It should be approved.

Alright.

Which hotel are you going to?

Do you have any information?

Of course I do.

Wait a moment, I'll go find it for you.

Okay.

[International-Hong Kong-Macau-Taiwan]

He Suye!

I've missed you so much.

Miss,

you must have mistaken me for someone else.

I'm waiting for my girlfriend here.

What are you trying to do?

He Suye, what are you talking about?

Have you lost your mind?

I haven't seen my girlfriend for seven months.

I've almost forgotten what she looks like.

Then take a closer look.

Does your girlfriend look like me?

It's hard to say.

Just you wait.

I didn't even pick up my girlfriend.

And it's starting to rain.

♫Never know what to do♫

♫In the times, I'm with you♫

♫Never know what to say♫

♫In the hours, I'm with you♫

Don't do this.

♫All I know, that it's true♫

My girlfriend will misunderstand.

Still at it?

♫That it's true♫

♫That I find myself♫

It's fine.

The two of us

♫Drawn to you♫

are in the car now.

Your girlfriend

can't see us.

♫In the window shades♫

♫Look at the colors we made♫

That makes sense.

I know it's true

♫It's always been true♫

♫That I find myself♫

♫Drawn to you♫

♫In the window shades♫

♫Look at the colors we made♫

♫I am not afraid♫

♫We're gonna find a way♫

I'm back!

You're back!

How was it?

Was the journey tiring?

It was okay.

I slept through most of it.

Hurry home and take a shower.

Change your clothes.

Your dad has prepared all your favorite dishes.

I'm telling you,

He has worked really hard.

He went to pick you up early in the morning.

It's my duty.

But Mr. and Mrs. Shen, I have outpatient duties this afternoon,

so I have to leave now.

Why don't you eat before you go?

Yeah.

Just stay for a meal.

I can't. I have to go to work.

I also need to pick up my girlfriend from the airport.

What's wrong with you?

Remember to eat lunch.

Okay, I'll be going then.

Mr. and Mrs. Shen, I'll be leaving now.

Alright, alright.

Come visit again when you're free.

Yes, yes, yes.

Let me, let me.

I'll do it, I'll do it.

Bye-bye, bye-bye.

Goodbye, goodbye.

Thank you for your hard work.

Oh, your mother and I have missed you so much.

How much?

We couldn't sleep at night.

We almost forgot your name.

What's there to eat?

Everything! We have all your favorites.

I want to eat rice cake with spare ribs.

Look how thin she's become.

She's like a stick now.

Does this bracelet still stay on?

The food outside isn't good.

The food at home is still the best.

Right?

Dad.

Move in a bit.

I want to eat steamed fish tonight.

I bought it early this morning.

We're just waiting for you to come back and eat it.

Great.

I want half of the fish.

The entire fish is yours.

Okay.

Be gentle with her.

I am being gentle.

It's making me itch just doing it.

Don't move while I'm cleaning your ears.

I just wanted to ask...

Has the area where you had surgery gotten better?

Does it still hurt?

Of course it's better.

Look at how energetic I am. Does it look like I haven't recovered?

Since I had that surgery,

He has been making me drink Chinese medicine every day.

Your dad prepares the medicine.

I also have to go for a check-up every three months.

I'm incredibly healthy now.

Alright.

Then,

I'll have to nicely coax him later.

Why do you need to do that?

In our family, your dad is the one who coaxes me.

Then you...

It's time to cook the fish!

Let's see.

I eat dinner because I'm overweight.

If you're overweight, shouldn't you eat less dinner

to lose weight?

As a doctor, you know...

High basal metabolism.

Food is the most important thing for the people.

If you don't eat, you...

♫When I see you♫

♫Flowers bloom♫

♫When I see you♫

Isn't she your precious girlfriend?

She's back in the country, huh?

Yes, she just got back a couple of days ago.

♫Flowers bloom♫

It's really true that absence makes the heart grow fonder.

You have to meet up even just for lunch.

It really is.

What do you know?

♫And I don't even know where else to go♫

I know.

Disappear immediately.

Let's go.

It's not that I don't know.

He disappears, I haven't eaten.

I'll treat you.

You disappear on your own, what does that have to do with me?

♫And I don't even know where else to go♫

♫When I see you♫

♫Flowers bloom♫

♫Nothing in this world can take me away from you♫

♫When I'm with you♫

♫When I'm with you♫

This... This is the hospital.

It's not good if people see us.

Look, there are people over there.

Alright.

Tell me why you're here.

To have a meal with you, of course.

Can't you wait until I'm off work to eat?

No.

That's not right.

What exactly do you want to do?

Me?

I just want to take advantage of when your girlfriend isn't around

to swoop in

and invade your life.

L-Lower your voice.

What nonsense are you talking about?

There are so many people here.

It'll be bad if people hear it.

How would it be bad?

I didn't register for your appointment

or go to your clinic.

I'm not affecting your work at all.

What do you think? Am I a good girl?

Fine.

You win.

Welcome.

Come.

Thank you.

You're welcome.

Eat the cherries.

Rose.

New products have arrived.

-It’s not sold yet. -It’s beautiful.

It’s so fancy.

Boss Xu is personally serving us.

This is my supplier after all.

Of course, I have to treat you well.

Indeed, they look good.

Look how nice this photo is.

Please, don't send it out.

Don't affect my new product launch, okay?

It seems Boss Xu wants to

raise the supply prices, huh?

No, no, no.

Don't do this.

My small shop hasn't broken even yet.

Please be merciful.

No, it depends on Boss Xu's attitude.

Please, please, please.

Alright, alright.

Today, I've called everyone here

because there's something I want to announce.

Xiangya and I have decided to run this business together.

That's so sudden.

It's not sudden. We've been considering it for a long time.

So you're not going back to the hotel?

No.

During my study abroad,

I also studied many business cases.

I have

always wanted to create

a brand with its own unique characteristics.

Xiangya's business happens to have it.

That is, traditional Chinese medicine.

But it lacks systematic management.

So I plan to come and apply what I've learned.

The two of us hit it off immediately.

We specifically studied

the current online trends.

We already have a preliminary plan.

You two have been up to quite a lot behind my back.

Did you know about this?

I didn't know.

It's my first time hearing it too.

But we can indeed give it a try.

After all, it's not like studying hotel management

means you have to go back to a hotel.

Look.

This time,

hasn't my girlfriend changed a lot?

What makes you say that?

What?

She's become prettier.

Prettier?

Pretty. Really pretty.

Pretty. Really pretty.

This tea is really good.

Try this.

Here.

Drink something hot.

Wow, chocolate!

He Suye,

it’s snowing.

Really?

It's so beautiful.

Last winter,

it didn't seem to snow.

That's because I wasn't here last winter.

Look, I'm back this year and it's snowing.

It's the first snow of the year.

Then let me ask you.

How is the snow in Hang City

different from the snow in Switzerland?

Of course it's different.

The snow in Switzerland doesn't have you in it,

so it's especially cold.

But in the snow of Hang City,

you're here with me.

♫Your face♫

♫Right before my eyes♫

♫Shining with radiant light♫

♫Revealing all my thoughts♫

♫So clearly♫

♫Between us♫

♫Each heartbeat becomes a prophecy♫

♫Foreseeing the beginning of love♫

♫I still miss it♫

♫I'm starting to fall in love♫

♫It's the light in your eyes♫

♫Illuminating my world♫

♫Warming my loneliness♫

♫The understanding we've gathered♫

♫Turns the pages of our future♫

♫Before we reach the end♫

♫A long, drifting line remains♫

♫Filled with thoughts of loving you♫

♫It's spreading♫

♫I hear again♫

♫My heartbeat♫

♫Pass through the crowds♫

♫To find the signal of your response♫

He Suye,

let's get married.

When spring comes next year,

let us

get married.

Wait.

During this year you've been studying abroad,

I've thought about so many things.

♫The moment I see you, all my worries turn transparent♫

Every day,

I want to wake up with you in the sunlight,

♫In the silence, the sound of my heartbeat grows clearer♫

fall asleep to the sound of rain,

run with you in the sunset,

and chat under the moonlight.

♫The entire world reflects in your eyes♫

♫Make a wish, can the snow fall slowly?♫

Just like this honeysuckle flower,

after this winter passes,

♫Even if we're destined to meet and miss each other♫

we will

be like two flowers on one stem,

♫Life is finally complete♫

with all my heart.

♫Watching the snow fall, flake by flake♫

Give me your life's time,

♫Slowly melting away my thoughts♫

and I'll give you

♫Smiling, I wave goodbye as you head home♫

my life's love.

♫But I never said those words♫

♫Watching the snow fall, flake by flake♫

♫When will love bloom into a flower?♫

Will you marry me?

♫You wander the world, forgetting to reply♫

I do.

♫When you turn around, I'll be right there♫

♫Flake by flake, the snow melts♫

♫When each other's thoughts are exchanged♫

♫The warm light takes away all the noise♫

♫Only the two of us remain in the world♫

♫Flake by flake, the snow melts♫

♫Love blooms quietly♫

♫Hold you close with a deep kiss♫

♫White lovers are answering♫

[Spring]

Let's take a photo.

It looks good.

Do you see how enthusiastically they were chatting?

Hello.

Xifan's uncle.

Actually, Dr. He and the bride

met while eating my spicy hot pot.

Really?

I'm not exaggerating.

So if I eat it, can I find a partner?

Don't worry. As long as you eat my spicy hot pot,

your love will come soon.

Really?

The weather is quite nice today.

Oh, indeed.

You've arrived early.

We'll have to change how we address each other now.

We're in-laws now.

In-law.

Mother-in-law.

You haven't met before, have you?

This is Wang.

Hello.

This is Wang's son, Chang.

Hello.

Call him Uncle.

Call him Uncle.

Hello, Uncle.

You should call her Aunt.

Hello, Aunt.

Hello.

Ze, slow down.

Thank you.

Li.

Zhao Ze?

You have hair!

I told you last time.

How have you been feeling lately?

I've recovered very well.

My mom said

I should be able to participate in the sports meet next semester.

You're even participating in sports meets?

What's wrong?

I'm very strong, you know.

It's so hot, but keep up the good work.

Win a gold medal for me, okay?

Okay.

Let me see.

Boss.

Give me another one of those...

Boss.

Get me a spicy hot pot with instant noodles.

Extra spicy and numbing, thank you.

Hey.

Don't you know it's first come, first...

You,

quickly make a bowl of spicy hot pot for this young lady.

Extra spicy and numbing.

Okay.

Wow, 188.

Hello.

My name is Song Feng.

Today's groom is my junior.

Miss.

Do you

dare to

add me on WeChat?

Sure.

Thank you.

Am I handsome?

You take after me.

The bride is coming.

The bride is coming.

The bride is coming.

The bride is coming.

The bride is coming.

Groom,

Mr. He Suye,

please calm down.

We know you're anxious,

but don't be anxious.

I want to ask you something.

Do you want to see how beautiful

your bride is?

I do.

Alright,

then let me take a look for you first.

She's truly beautiful.

Absolutely stunning.

I know you must be feeling overwhelmed.

You must have a lot to say to her.

Then...

Let me give you one more piece of advice.

If

what you say isn't satisfactory enough,

not sincere enough,

not genuine enough,

she'll just stand there,

or

take a taxi home.

So,

are you ready?

The microphone is yours.

I have...

Dreamed countless times

of you in a wedding dress,

holding a bouquet,

walking towards me step by step.

And today,

my dream

has finally come true.

In our days together,

we've walked many, many streets together.

Together,

we've passed through rainy forests

and we've also seen

the sea of flowers on the mountains.

You told me

that in the days to come,

we have to see

even more

beautiful sceneries together.

But in my heart,

you

are the most beautiful scenery

in this world.

Great!

Xifan,

falling in love with you

is the luckiest thing I've ever done.

Loving you

is the best thing

I've ever done.

He Suye,

me too.

Great!

♫It became brighter because of you♫

♫The world suddenly became so cute♫

♫Maybe I'm too slow to understand♫

♫I can't confess my passionate love to you♫

♫Love is an admiration for beauty♫

♫I've decided to only love you♫

♫My foolishness♫

♫My sincerity♫

♫Only for one person♫

Kiss!

♫Because of you, even my smile brightens up♫

Great!

♫The moment I see you, all my worries turn transparent♫

♫In the silence, the sound of my heartbeat grows clearer♫

♫The entire world reflects in your eyes♫

♫Make a wish, can the snow fall slowly?♫

We met at a not-so-good time.

At that time,

I never even thought

♫Even if we're destined to meet and miss each other♫

that every day with you would be so interesting.

♫Life is finally complete♫

You made my gray life

suddenly be full of color.

♫Watching the snow fall, flake by flake♫

♫Slowly melting away my thoughts♫

♫Smiling, I wave goodbye as you head home♫

♫But I never said those words♫

♫Watching the snow fall, flake by flake♫

♫When will love bloom into a flower?♫

♫You wander the world, forgetting to reply♫

Back then,

I was lost and helpless,

letting myself slowly fall into an abyss.

♫When you turn around, I'll be right there♫

It was you who grabbed my hand

and never let go,

letting me struggle back to the surface

and be able to breathe again.

It was like waking up from a nightmare

♫If missing someone is the stars hanging by the horizon♫

and seeing

that golden sunlight of redemption in the sky.

♫I'll remember the scenery with you every time the stars dazzle♫

♫Keep flying along our memories♫

♫When the snow stops, time will prove everything♫

From now on,

let me love you as I love myself,

and love myself as I love you.

♫Even if we're destined to meet and miss each other♫

♫Life is finally complete♫

Loving you

is the best thing

I've ever done.

[Hope everyone with a good heart can find a long-lasting love in the gaps of life.]

[it's okay. Learn to love yourself first, more than anyone else in the world.]

[If you can't find that person yet, or you've lost the courage to search,]

[And someone will appear in the light shining through the crack.]

[The End]
