I'm scared, but I want to win this so bad.

In the beginning, I didn't think I'd get far at all.

That probably comes a lot from, like, friends and family

just being like, "What are you doing? That's crazy."

But I think I'm kind of killing it.

I want to prove to myself

that I'm not the Kardashian of the family,

and I think people should really take me more seriously in life

and not judge a book by its cover.

I came here to win $200,000, and I want to give

some of that back to animal rights groups.

I would like to use this as, like, a point of awareness,

and, like, share my message with other people.

- That's awesome. - Every year for work,

we get to donate to, like, a charity of our choosing,

and I always do an animal rights group.

- That's really cool. - Mm-hmm.

And I kind of feel the same way.

Like, I always wanted to be somebody who's fearless,

and then I had my accident.

It just took me back so many levels.

Throughout this competition,

I've learned fear is just 99% mental,

and now I just got to live through it.

I want to get a motorcycle again. Don't tell mom and dad.

I want to do insane things all over again.

There's a great quote I love.

"The treasure you seek

is in the cave you fear to enter."

And I feel like everybody needs to take that step

into the darkness and see what's waiting for them.

I know you're all concerned about Dida.

So, he went to the hospital, and he's going to be fine.

He wants you to get back and be focused on winning the game.

- Nice. - Great.

Johnny: All right.

Congratulations on making it here to this moment.

- Thank you, Johnny. - I mean, look around.

One of you is going to win the $200,000 grand prize.

We began with 14.

Now, it all comes down to you four.

Now, you've each faced down a lot of fears to get here.

Chelsea, you stepped into this competition

determined to face your fears of being trapped and of creepy crawlies.

- Come on, Chels! Grab 'em, grab 'em! - Dig deep! Both hands!

And you wanted to conquer those fears for yourself

and for your kids, and you've done an amazing job.

Thank you. I did.

Jayleen, you came here with the fear of deep water and critters.

- Oh, my God! - Oh! Oh!

And even though you're a vegan,

you made it out of the elimination

eating that evil pig snout pie.

Just put it back. Don't even think about it.

I didn't think you were making it out of that.

I didn't think I was making it out of that. I'm surprised.

I thought you were close to tapping, but you got through it.

That was great. Especially when everyone was puking afterwards.

That was even better.

Ethan, you're our youngest competitor here.

You set out to crush your fears of confinement and electric shock.

( screaming )

And you persevered in the semifinals,

beating out two strong competitors to get here.

Rob, you came here with a fear of physical injury,

but we've seen you conquer that fear over and over again.

It was one of the most impressive things I've seen

with the full bucket of ice water

on your head for five minutes.

- ( laughter ) - Yeah!

Yes, Rob!

- Aah! - That was awesome.

That means so much coming from you, Johnny.

So the grand prize is within your reach.

Any of you can take it, but it's not going to be easy.

- Mm. Does not look like it. - Yeah. Figured.

So your next challenge will test your fear of drowning

and these cute alligator gars.

We call it Below The Surface.

You must escape from these.

You will be locked inside that tank,

which is filled with water and some alligator gars.

Alligator gars. Alligator.

- They bite? - Yeah.

A little fear just wakes you up.

Oh, my God. Can we catch a break?

It sounds absolutely terrifying.

They're cute, though.

This is an individual challenge.

On my signal, you will go under the surface.

You will be able to breathe through a little hole

in each lid on your tank.

You can take as many breaths as you want,

but you'll lose precious time.

And then dive down to the maze at the bottom of your tank.

Solve it, and you can remove the flathead screwdriver.

Use that to unscrew the bolt

that is keeping you locked inside.

Push open the lid on your tank

and hit that button to stop your clock.

The challenge will be done in two rounds,

and the pairings were randomly selected.

Round one will be Ethan versus Rob.

Round two will be Jayleen versus Chelsea.

The fastest to escape in each round goes to the finale.

The slowest is eliminated. How are we all feeling?

I'm not excited about this.

Doesn't feel good going against a free diver,

and I'm hoping he goes into the tank with the more vicious ones.

I wouldn't want to get in the cold water.

- That would be my big thing. - Cold, too?

- Yeah, it's not heated. - Great.

Okay, Ethan and Rob,

you're first, so let's get to it.

Yum. I'll tell you my final thought.

Man meat! Hello!

- Let's go, boys! - Come on.

Stay calm, guys. Oh, my gosh.

( bleep ) That looks feisty.

All right, gentlemen, time to get in the tanks.

Rob: This challenge is crazy.

Ethan is my toughest rival.

I'm almost twice this guy's age.

But I've got more experience than him.

I'm nervous. My heart's pounding out of my chest.

This is the big one for me.

I'm so close to winning that $200,000.

Ethan: I am kind of freaking out right now.

Rob has a major advantage over me.

I'm good at holding my breath

probably for up to a 1:30 underwater.

Rob on the other hand

says he can do up to four minutes.

And I'm just so dialed in

because I know I have to beat Rob out of the competition.

On the sound of the air horn, it begins.

- Three, two, one, go! - ( horns blaring )

Let's go, Ethan! Let's go, Rob!

Johnny: They are zooming.

Come on! Let's go, let's go!

Johnny: Don't let those alligator gars

latch onto your sweet spot!

Ethan: Fear makes people mess up in these games,

and I need to stay composed in this situation.

- Stay calm, guys. - My strategy here

is to hold my breath through the entire puzzle part.

Rob: My heart's pounding out of my chest,

which is the worst thing you want

when you need to hold your breath.

Johnny: My goodness.

Neither of them have come up for air yet.

Ethan: I got to stop rushing.

It's not going to help, because I keep messing it up.

Come on! Let's go, let's go!

Wow. And Ethan has solved the maze.

- Oh, my God. - Now he just needs to unscrew the lid with a screwdriver.

- Good job, Rob! - Find the screw!

- Come on, Rob! - Oh, man, but now Rob is done.

- Oh, they're neck and neck. - Let's go, let's go!

Oh, man, it's getting really close.

- Keep going, keep going. - You got it.

Let's go, Rob! Keep it up, keep it up.

Way to go, Ethan.

You're almost there.

This is tight. Like, Ethan got done first, but Rob caught up.

- Keep going! Find the screw! - Good job, Rob. Let's go!

Johnny: Oh, no, the screwdriver slipped out of his hands.

Oh, this is coming down to the wire.

How could I let myself lose on this one?

Out of any challenge,

it had to be the diving challenge.

- Good job. It's okay. - ( groaning )

- Oh, my gosh. - I thought for sure I had it,

and that just makes it burn even more.

Really proud of Ethan. He deserved to win.

If anything, going up against a diver

and getting the win on this, he did great.

some sort of a puzzle, which was the shock challenge,

And I'm really in my head and stressed to fail again.

- Ooh. - Chelsea, Jayleen, you ready?

- No. - Well, time to get in.

You got this, Jayleen.

- ( sighs ) - Eek.

- Oh, ( bleep ). - Relax your body, Jayleen.

Relax your legs.

- ( squeals ) - Oh, she's just getting--

I think I'm scared of fish, Johnny.

They're just saying hello.

( muted chatter )

- Just watch your other hand there. - Oh!

- There you go. - ( gasping )

Of course, my biggest fear coming in here is drowning.

( gasping, panting )

- ( bleep ) - These alligator gars,

they are just so terrifying.

- ( groaning ) - I am petrified.

All right, are you ready?

Chelsea: I've never been great at holding my breath,

but I saw the guys get through the puzzle with one breath,

and that was my goal.

Go down, one breath, get that screwdriver out.

But I'm so stressed. My heart is going to explode.

About to find out who's going against Ethan for $200,000.

On the sound of my air horn, it begins.

I was terrified because I just felt

and I feel like I can face anything now.

- Well, first thing I'm buying myself is a door. - Mm-hmm. A door?

I don't have a door in my room. It's a curtain.

I'm pretty confident I can buy a good door with $200,000.

And then I'm, like, giving my mom a big chunk.

My family needs this money.

There was a point in my life

my mom couldn't afford rent for all of us,

so I had to pack it up

and live with my dad for a bit.

And that was a really dark time in my life,

getting in fights and stuff,

and, you know, making bad decisions out of emotion

and not even realizing it.

It hurt a lot, but I'm at the age now

where I'm flipping over to being a young man,

and I want to become a better version of myself after this.

It's been a life goal of mine to, you know, support my fam,

and now I have an opportunity to do it.

This is huge to me. I can't mess this up.

I'm gonna take my kids on, like, some cool vacation.

- Just sick, like-- - Like, we're going somewhere.

Vacation, take care of family, you know what I mean?

Through the divorce,

I lost a couple years of my life,

and it's painful to see the joy that I missed

with my girls at a certain age, and that hits.

And I think that is the hardest thing,

is memories that I missed.

There is a lingering pit in my stomach.

I'm like, "Oh, my God, today is a $200,000 day." I can't mess this up.

Chelsea: We have no idea what to expect for the Endgame.

At this point, I'm extremely nervous

and I just have to put my game face on

and just prepare for the worst.

I'm going to miss this place.

- Look at that. - ( whistles )

Welcome to your final challenge.

And before we get started, I hope you guys remember this

as one of the most fun and exciting times in your life.

And thank you for making it one of mine.

We started with 14 incredibly strong competitors

who came here to conquer their very real fears,

and the whole competition comes down to you two.

- No pressure. Mm-mm. - No pressure at all.

A mom of two young daughters from east Tennessee. Go, Vols!

- ( cheering ) - Facing off with our youngest competitor.

One of you is about to walk away with $200,000.

The other is about to walk away.

- Hmm. - For your final challenge,

you will face your fear of speed and failure.

- Okay. - Ooh. Failure.

We call it Mother Trucker.

- Mother Trucker. - Yes.

S&P wanted to call it ( bleep ),

and I said we are not doing that.

We're not going to get that past the censors.

All right. You are going on top of these.

( engines revving )

- Oh, my God. - What? How?

- ( laughing ) - Jeez!

Chelsea: I'm not a stuntman.

Is this the next "Mission: Impossible"?

Like, this looks absolutely crazy.

( honking )

Here's how it's going to work.

This will be a head to head race.

Winner takes all.

You will each begin in the passenger seat

of a different semi truck.

These two 18-wheelers are going to put the hammer down

and start speeding down the track side by side.

While these trucks are speeding around the track,

you must strategically race a course that winds

inside and outside of both semis.

As they're high-balling down the track,

you've got to climb outside of the cab.

You need to get yourself to the side of the trailer

so you can climb all the way to the back.

And once you're there, you've got to search through a bunch of boxes.

- Okay. - What?

You're looking for a ring of keys.

And when you have it, come back outside.

Once again, you have to scale the truck

while it's barreling down the racetrack,

climb the ladder to the top of the truck's trailer,

untether, then climb across to the other truck.

And remember, any fall is going to turn you into roadkill.

- ( laughing ) - It's about to get wicked.

Now here's the part you're going to like.

- Hmm. - On the other truck is a big box of money.

- Ooh. - Yeah.

- Money? - Find the right key on your ring to open the box.

The first person who does it wins it all.

- God. - $200,000 and the right to say

- fear is not a factor. - Oh, my gosh.

All right, just want to check in and see how you both are feeling.

- Heart's beating really fast right now. - Yeah. A pit in my stomach.

- I know. - Trying to ignore it.

The mental game is big in this.

- Yeah. - And honestly, that's why you're both here.

- So ride that out today. - Yeah.

- Thank you. - Deal.

Let's do this.

( music playing )

This looks scary. This looks dangerous.

These trucks are huge.

You could fall off and fall to your death.

There's a lot of fears there.

Okay. We're getting ready to go.

This is for everything.

( engines revving )

The whole season, it all comes down to this.

- Good luck. - Wow. The finale.

Being beside these trucks is kind of triggering for me

because a while back I did get in a car crash and it was my fault.

I just wasn't paying attention.

I'm lucky enough to be alive,

and I'm kind of having flashbacks.

My heart is beating like buh-bum, buh-bum, buh-bum.

And I can feel it out of my chest.

This is the last and final challenge.

Everything is on the line.

I want to win this more than anything

I've ever wanted to win in my entire life.

( laughing )

Here we go. The denouement!

On the floor and looking for more! Go!

( horns honking )

All right, they're mashing that motor.

Okay, they're out.

Chelsea's already up. Ethan's a little bit slower.

Come on, buddy. Oh, man. She's zooming across the side.

Flying. Oh, my God. This is too much.

Ooh, they got it on the floor and they're looking for more.

Ethan: Being on the outside of a truck

going that fast is terrifying.

There's a huge bar surrounding

the whole perimeter of the truck,

and I got to control my balance.

I'm literally holding on for dear life.

Johnny: High drama here, folks.

( laughing )

All right, Chelsea kicking into gear.

- Ugh! - Johnny: Wow.

Ethan's tootsies slipped off the rail.

( laughing )

Oh, my goodness. Chelsea's in the back.

( grunting )

She's already throwing out boxes.

But who knows? Anything can happen.

So in one of those boxes is a set of keys.

Chelsea's searching furiously.

Oh, there you go. Ethan's finally in the back.

And here we go.

Oh, wow. He's moving quick.

Man, they are working!

( broad accent ) It's a real blinder!

Wow, that's a lot of boxes to go through.

Oh, my God. Look at all that.

They are moving.

It's in there. Find it.

Who's going to find theirs first?

Come on.

( rattling )

Ethan found his keys. Ethan found his keys.

Yeah!

Ethan's got the keys, but he's still got to get on top of the truck,

cross back over the net, and get to the front of the other truck to get the money.

And he's got quite a few keys to go through.

We'll see if Chelsea's going to catch up.

Ethan's on top of the truck about to cross over.

Oh, my goodness.

- ( rattling ) - Okay.

Chelsea's got her keys. She's making a comeback.

- Woof! - Ethan's got to cross over,

and that's no easy task.

Here we go.

All right, to get from one truck to the other,

he's got to untether.

Oh, here we go. Ooh!

Holy ( bleep ).

All right, Chelsea's out.

She's trying to get to the top of the truck.

And that ring has dozens of keys on it.

It's going to be tough finding that right one.

- All the money is in that box. - ( bleep )

Here we go.

Chelsea's on top of her truck,

but she has to get to the other side.

- Oh, my goodness! - ( grunting )

Johnny: Oh, ho, ho, ho!

She's catching up. She's got her keys.

They are both going through it.

- Ahh! - This is still anyone's game.

Oh, my God. This is crazy.

It's so hard when it's so close.

The story could be different, but this experience

was a lot more emotional and deeper than I even thought it would be.

( screaming )

I've been conquered a lot just within myself mentally.

Enclosed spaces, creepy crawlies,

I definitely faced those.

- Breathe. - The confidence you get

when you work through these battles, it's unreal.

I kind of feel like a new person.

And it's been tough being away from my girls.

That's been the biggest challenge.

They have no clue what their mom's been up to,

so I hope they're so proud of me.

They love superheroes

and I'm excited to sit next to them

and show them what they're capable of one day, too.

Just a once in a lifetime experience,

and I'm just happy to be here,

and I'm happy I lost to you, if anyone.

starting with being super confined

to the point where I can't move, and I faced that battle one.

My heart's racing. It's scary.

The most scared I've been is the shock challenge.

I was still scared of electricity after that,

but now I'm like, "Oh, my God, facing your fears feels good."

And through all of these ups and downs,

I learned to let go of stuff

that's uncontrollable and just accept it.

That's what "Fear Factor" taught me,

and that's the biggest thing

that I'm going to bring out of this.
