Honestly, as we were working on this album,

we’ve had anxieties

about whether people would keep waiting for us,

or if we’d be forgotten.

We've worried a lot about that.

That's right. During the time we had to pause for a bit,

we spent a lot of time thinking about

what we should hold onto no matter what

and what we need to change.

We’re still not completely sure,

and still feel anxious at times,

but I think even these emotions

are a part of who we are.

I like that.

At this turning point, we kept asking ourselves

what choices we should make

and what kind of artists

we want to be remembered as.

In the end,

we found that the answer wasn’t outside, but within us.

Listening to our own voices

and capturing those thoughts and anxieties

without hiding them.

The BTS team itself

feels like a grand crown.

The problem is just that it's old.

Trends change. We can't keep doing the same thing.

This album should be authentic.

It's a bit overwhelming.

I mean, literally time just passed by.

But here in LA you really feel...

And we're trying to find out what makes us BTS.

I'm spending half of my life with them.
