=Episode 5=

I'm here

mainly

to apologize to you.

I shouldn't have doubted you.

Actually,

I already recognized you

from the first day we met.

But when I knew

you lost your memories,

I was worried you would forget about me

and I was scared I would behave recklessly.

So

I couldn't tell you the truth,

which led to testing you.

But I'm here

to tell you

that I'm certain

you're still the same girl I knew.

Mr. Li,

I've given it thought.

About me being the girl

you've met,

I'm going to let that pass.

After all,

we need to move forward.

Even if

I was involved with you in the past,

but I'm sure it wasn't a pleasant one

judging from how you were resisting me.

Since it wasn't a pleasant one,

why bring trouble to yourself?

So

I've decided to stop

thinking about the past.

Okay.

Since you're not willing to remember

the past,

you can consider

we're getting to know each other again.

Am I right?

You may be my subordinate.

Don't tell me

we can't

be friends again.

What are you doing?

Didn't you say to be friends?

Is there a need to sit so close, then?

I live here.

I'm used to sitting here.

Fine.

Miss Su,

the design and furnishings

of your house

bring a sense of nostalgia.

Why would a young

and fashionable lady like you

choose to live

in a house like this?

(There he goes again.)

My dad left his house for me.

I lived here when I was a kid.

He bought

all the furniture in this house.

So I want to keep it the same.

I see.

By the way,

do you still remember

how you lost your memories?

I know

some friends from the medical industry.

They might be able to help.

I said it was an accident.

As for the details,

I don't remember

and I don't want to remember.

Do you remember

I've given you a business card

with my contact details?

Haven't you thought

of contacting me for the past two years?

I'm sorry.

I don't remember about this.

If you think

I'm lying to you,

there's nothing I can do.

You are lying to me.

What?

I see you have a coffee machine.

All right.

If you want to have some coffee,

I can brew a cup for you.

Okay.

After you finish your coffee,

please leave my house.

Okay.

(Involved in corporate fraud, Chairman Shen Zhi Hong committed suicide)

Your coffee is here.

Thank you.

It tastes good.

The good thing about coffee

is you'll feel more awake after drinking it.

That way, you won't get lost

when you go home.

Okay.

Thank you, Miss Su.

I'll get going, then.

I won't see you off.

Take good care of the coat.

Thank you, Mr. Li.

It's the current season's limited edition.

It suits you.

Remember to wear it tomorrow.

Okay, Mr. Li.

I'm leaving now.

Mr. Li, see you.

See you.

He must be up to no good

for giving me the coat.

Could he have

installed something in my house?

(My greatest wish is to go to the top of the mountain to see the sunrise.)

(My dad had always)

wanted to watch the sunrise here.

But he was busy working all the time.

That's why

I come here secretly

to snap a picture of the sunrise

and give it to him

as a birthday present.

He'll love it.

Xie Ming Hao

was Zhiwei's commercial lawyer.

No wonder they know each other.

Mr. Li,

do you think Miss Su

is related to Zhiwei?

It's possible.

Will she

get in the way of our plan?

Keep an eye on her.

Okay.

Mr. Li,

Uncle Bai

knows a lot about Zhiwei, right?

You can ask him tomorrow.

Good morning.

Morning.

Morning.

Morning.

Wait a minute.

Wait.

I'm so sorry.

I'm sorry.

Your clothes

look pretty.

Thank you.

How does it feel to have an admirer?

What?

I saw

someone carrying these clothes

into the office.

So

are you going to admit it

or let me expose you?

What nonsense are you talking about?

If I'm not mistaken,

he must be Mr. Li's

driver,

Ji Ying Song.

Bingo!

Is there no one else you can think of?

Driver?

What driver?

This little lady

has an admirer.

We can see

Miss Su Xie Yi

usually keeps a poker face.

But

she's passionate deep down.

You're chattering instead of

getting changed during work time.

Do you want to get fired?

We'll have a meeting

in the meeting room in five minutes.

- Yes. - Yes.

I've read the bidding plan

of the Fujiade Auction.

Yunfeng Hotel

is Ocean's new signature hotel.

Its advantages

are not reflected

in the plan at all.

Redo it.

I'll give you one day.

Other than that,

the sales of the minibar

have been decreasing.

Why?

Su Xie Yi,

what do you think?

I've looked into it.

There was no decrease

in the sales of the minibar.

But...

the guest's single consumption

is not high.

It only meets the minimum cost.

This is exactly

what I want you to know.

One expensive product

can increase the overall performance.

I don't care

what methods you're going to use.

I want you to sell the bar's

expensive champagne and red wine!

Also,

the minibar snack sales

are terrible.

The types of snacks

are too outdated now.

Can't you

survey the market

to find new products?

It must be salty,

so the alcohol can sell.

Stop trying to pass off

with dessert and wafers.

Find something more interesting,

understand?

Yes.

Su Xie Yi.

I'll leave the market research

to you.

Okay.

(Control Room, No Admittance. No Smoking)

Uncle Bai.

You're here.

Sit.

This watch

has been with Mr. Li Senior for decades.

It's as old

as me.

I won't be useful anymore.

People are nostalgic.

I disagree with that.

Only those who cherish relationships

are like that.

Uncle Bai,

were you the one

who set up the deal

between my dad and Zhiwei?

It was decades ago.

At that time,

we were still a small company.

So what do you want to know?

Well, here is the thing.

Do you recall

any of Zhiwei's top management

or anyone

related to Zhiwei

with the last name Su?

I can't recall any for a moment there.

How about anyone

related to Shen Zhi Hong?

Shen Zhi Hong's wife.

His wife's last name is Su.

But

she passed away from illness

more than ten years ago.

(They have)

(a daughter.)

(But they took her)

(to live abroad a long time ago.)

(Is his daughter's name Su Xie Yi?)

(I think so.)

(Su Xie Yi,)

(you came to Ocean)

(to investigate)

(your dad's cause of death.)

It's lunchtime.

Someone owes me a meal.

When?

It was on the day

of Ms. Shi's welcoming party.

You were gone

and came back.

You even asked me to keep it a secret.

Have you forgotten?

Ah, I remember now.

Okay, I'll treat you today.

Let's go.

(Ocean Hotel Corporation)

(Clear your plate starts from me) I said I'm treating you a meal.

Why are we eating at the cafeteria?

I'm someone

with principle.

A driver is pursuing you.

I'm not going to empty your pocket.

If an executive

likes you someday,

it won't be too late to treat me to a big meal, then.

You got it all wrong.

See that?

Fine,

I get it.

If I were you,

I'd not be willing to admit it too.

Just eat.

By the way,

I've watched

Yunfeng Hotel's promotional video today.

It was done very well.

Of course.

We spent a lot on it.

It's going to be

Ocean Hotel Corporation's new image.

It's such a great project.

The person in charge

must be capable.

Do you mean Chen Heng Sheng?

Do you mean Chen Heng Sheng?

He is a legend.

When it comes to luck,

no one can beat him.

How come?

You might not believe it if I tell you.

He was only

Mr. Li's assistant two years ago.

For these two years,

he suddenly

became Yunfeng Hotel's general manager.

If it was in ancient times,

he had been promoted three ranks at one go.

I see.

Yes.

I'm still sorting out Hengye Bank's

cocktail party list for the day after tomorrow.

He is also invited.

I suddenly remembered

I need to send an urgent email.

I'll get back to work first.

Okay.

I'll treat you to a big meal some other day.

Bye-bye.

You're pretty obsessed.

Let me clean it for you.

Stop!

I'll do it myself.

I'm here

to tell you one thing.

You can't solve

some gaps

with haute couture.

(Invitation to Year-End Reward Meeting)

(Ocean Hotel Corporation)

(Chen Heng Sheng, Yunfeng Hotel person in charge)

Do the clothes fit you?

Yes.

What's wrong with him?

Did he come here

just to ask that one question?

What does that mean?

I even answered him.

There's something wrong with me too.

Why do you want to see me?

Can't I have a chat with you?

I mean...

you have

never come to work before.

Not only are you coming now,

you even come early.

Why is that, Mr. Li?

I thought you always wanted me

to come to work.

So you'll be attending

the cocktail party the day after tomorrow, right?

You know

I'm never interested in parties like these.

What are you doing?

It's work.

You won't forget it this way.

Fine.

After you come back,

we haven't had a proper catch-up.

Let's meet at the usual place tonight.

Okay.

My treat.

I happen to

have something to tell you.

What is it?

I'll tell you tonight.

See you tonight.

When do you think

we can attend

such a high-end cocktail party?

If it's like you said,

it's good to have the right guy.

Thanks.

Just perform well.

If Ms. Shi is satisfied,

she might take us along.

Ms. Shi?

Yes.

Her family

owns Hengye Bank.

It's also our company's

important partner.

When they were

organizing events,

some of us were asked to help out.

But speaking of which,

Ms. Shi asked you

to do market research on snacks.

I find it

a waste of your talent.

Not at all.

Details determine one's success or failure.

I think Ms. Shi

is right.

So I must

do my job seriously.

Where are you going?

Going back to work.

You really know what you're doing.

If this goes on,

Ms. Shi will take you to the cocktail party sooner or later.

Listen.

Anyone you can attract

at the cocktail party

is better than that driver.

Oh, right.

The employee handbook states

that new employees have a free night's stay

at the hotel.

Is it true?

Of course.

You can let me have it if you don't use it.

Or are you...

Are you

going to spend the night with that driver?

Stop it right there.

My house is far from here.

I need to work overtime,

so I won't be going home.

Everything is for efficiency.

(Deputy General Manager)

Mr. Li,

other than having lunch

with Gong Ming Yue,

Miss Su had been busy working.

She made

no contact with Huo Jian.

You can stop watching her.

I already know her identity.

Uncle Bai sent a message and said

she booked a room at the hotel.

She booked a room?

What room?

A double room.

Uncle Bai also said

he saw some man get in.

Who?

Not only one.

Countless men are going in and out of the room.

Room number?

0308.

Coming!

Mr. Li?

You...

Hello,

did you call for FlashEx?

Yes.

Please show me your Flash code.

Thanks.

Here you go.

Thank you.

Why are you here?

What are you doing here?

I'm working.

All by yourself?

Two.

You're alone.

Why didn't you go home

and book a hotel room here?

Instead of going home after work,

why do you care if I booked a hotel room?

You're an employee of the General Manager's Office.

You should take care of your reputation.

Can't an employee

stay

at their company's hotel?

That's not what I meant.

Are those men here

to deliver all these?

What else?

Did you think

I booked a hotel room

to sleep with someone?

Wait.

How did you know I'm here?

- I... - Are you...

Are you going to say you happened to pass by,

or are you testing me

and investigating me again?

I...

(But)

she died from illness

more than ten years ago.

She had a daughter

with Shen Zhi Hong.

(The child is really pitiful.)

(She lived with her mom abroad)

(since young.)

(She has lost her father)

(and no one to lean on now.)

Mr. Li,

are you okay?

I'm fine.

Let's go.

I'll book another room for you.

As expected from you.

You can get a room

just like that.

Did you only have snacks for dinner tonight?

Yes.

That's a task

Ms. Shi assigned to me.

Do you want to help me?

I don't know anything about snacks.

I should order some food for you.

You don't know snacks,

but you know Ms. Shi.

Everyone here knows

about your relationship.

You're old friends

and a match made in heaven in everyone's eyes.

You're new here,

so you might not know this.

Nothing is going on between Chu Chu and me.

Mr. Li,

you don't have to

explain this matter to me.

Have some.

(It's the invitation to Hengye Bank's cocktail party.)

(I don't have to spare any effort to look for it at all.)

Miss Su,

how long have you lived in Germany?

I have lived there since I was young.

I lived with my mom.

But...

I graduated

alone there afterward.

(I must find ways)

(to get a hold of his invitation.)

You must have felt lonely

being in a foreign country alone.

Lonely?

Loneliness comes

after luxury in life.

If a person

works seven days a week

and is too busy to make a living,

he won't have the time to feel lonely.

So

loneliness is a rich person's disease.

That's enough.

Stop eating these.

It may be for work.

But it's not good for your health

to eat like this.

(This guy)

(doesn't have any good intentions)

(every time he pretends to care about me.)

(Just look at him.)

(After you passed out from drinking,)

(I'm going to take the invitation.)

Mr. Li,

if you really

sympathize with your employees,

why don't you

accompany me to relax for a bit?

How about we have some alcohol?

My work has been giving me

a lot of pressure lately.

What do you think?

Sure.

All right.

Mr. Li,

let's drink until we drop.

Here, cheers!

Mr. Li,

I get drunk easily.

Besides,

it's dangerous

for a woman

to get drunk outside.

Don't worry.

I won't let you drink a lot

or let you be in danger.

Mr. Li,

are you okay?

Miss Su,

do you have anything you like

or perhaps

any wishes?

You can tell me.

Maybe I can help you fulfill it.

(Seriously? He's already drunk?)

(Can you give me your invitation card?)

You want this?

I can give it to you if you want it.

I don't want it.

What am I going to do with this?

I can't eat it.

You're right.

Tell me after you've thought about it.

I'm sorry.

I have plans.

So I'll get going first.

Mr. Li,

drink one more glass.

It's a waste of this liquor.

You can drink

anything from the bar.

Just put it on my tab.

I'll pay for it.

Also,

when you work overtime in the future,

let me know.

I'll keep

this room vacant for you.

You can stay anytime you want.

Mr. Li, goodbye.

What's wrong with him?

How come the gentler he is,

the more afraid I am?

Ms. Shi,

I've already completed

(GM's Office Regular Meeting) the survey

on snacks in the market

as you've asked.

That's fast.

I don't dare to slack off.

If I can complete it a day earlier,

the sales volume

can increase a day earlier.

These snacks are my recommendations.

I also have

the online reviews and a report

on my personal experience

during the taste test.

Well done.

You're really efficient.

I happen

to have a decision to inform you.

From tomorrow on,

you don't have to come to work anymore.

You're fired.

Why?

Sorry about that.

Your compensation

will be paid accordingly to the employee agreement.

You can work at another company.

I'll write a recommendation letter for you.

Don't worry.

It won't be worse than Ocean.

May I know the reason?

No reason.

It's my personal decision.

All right.

The meeting is over.

It's because of Mr. Li, right?

You like Mr. Li.

I don't think it concerns you.

You can leave now.

I have a meeting

with Mr. Huo later.

If this is the reason,

it does concern me.

Miss Su,

let me repeat this.

You're fired.

Please get out.

Who are you firing?

Mr. Huo.

Mr. Huo.

Chu Chu,

this isn't your way of doing things.

Whose idea was it?

The General Manager's Office is fully staffed now.

It's the procedure of terminating those who performed poorly, that's all.

Okay.

But

I do admire

Miss Su's capabilities.

How about this?

On my side,

Yi Fei happens

to need an assistant.

Transfer her to my office first,

okay?

Since you asked,

of course, it's okay.

By the way,

I've received the invitation

to Hengye Bank's cocktail party.

Thank your dad for me.

I'll be there tomorrow.

What's going on?

I want to know too.

(Shi Chu Chu) (I failed.)

(Huo Jian kept Su Xie Yi.)

You're finally here.

Here.

Didn't you say you wanted to tell me something?

Do you know Su Xie Yi,

your subordinate?

Fire her.

Are you kidding? Why?

I'm curious too.

What's your relationship

with her?

No relationship at all.

In any case,

I don't want to see her

at Ocean anymore.

I still need a reason, right?

What about poor performance?

She's the most outstanding

among the newcomers.

I can't take

this reason.

Just consider

doing me a favor, then.

I have my own principle.

I can't fire

an innocent employee

for no reason at all.

She has already

disrupted my work arrangement.

I can only tell you this.

If she continues working at Ocean,

I won't come to work anymore.

You're making it sound so serious.

Liang

must have his reason for doing this.

Besides,

no one can change

the decision he has made.

I'll leave it to you.

It'll be the first

and the last.

What's wrong, Mr. Li?

Huo Jian transferred Su Xie Yi to his office.

It seems we have to carry out our plan earlier.

Will Miss Su

be in danger?

To be honest,

I don't know why

you made that decision.

Can't you see?

Firing Su Xie Yi

is Li Ze Liang's order.

Since you think Li Ze Liang

arranged Su Xie Yi to work at the General Manager's Office

to go against you,

wouldn't it better for her to leave?

That's the weird part.

She was transferred there

and here.

Now, he wants to fire her.

It's indeed weird.

Given the fact that Mr. Lin

and her sneaked into the Archive,

if your assumption is right,

that means Li Ze Liang

wants to use Zhiwei Corporation

through Su Xie Yi

to go against you.

But everything

is just our assumption.

See this?

No matter what kind of fish

you keep watching for a few days,

you'll naturally see

what's wrong with it.

Shi Chu Chu wanted to fire you,

but Huo Jian kept you?

Yes.

Isn't that interesting?

Have you thought of the reason?

As for the specifics,

I don't know.

But there's one thing I'm certain of.

Huo Jian is showing

his power.

Don't you find

yourself

falling

into a game?

The outcome is more important to me.

To have Huo Jian think highly of me

might give me more advantage

for my investigation.

Xie Yi,

it doesn't matter if it's Li Ze Liang

or anyone from Ocean.

They could do that to Zhiwei.

If they find out

your identity,

can't you imagine

the consequences?

Ming Hao,

I came here

to ask a favor from you.

I want to attend

Hengye Bank's cocktail party.

Your law firm

is also their partner.

I'm sure they invited you

to their thank-you reception, right?

I know

you've always been very opposed to my plan.

So I wouldn't have come to you

if I had no choice.

But this is important to me.

I need to find someone.

Who's that?

Chen Heng Sheng.

He's also on the invitation list

of Hengye Bank this time.

Two years ago,

he was the manager of the Food and Beverage Department.

He was the one who signed the contract.

He must know something.

Xie Yi,

you can't back out

once you start on some things.

But you still have a chance to back out now.

I know that.

But I don't want to stop now.

Perhaps you can try

to let go of your hatred

and relax a bit.

You're still young

and there are many paths you can take.

But the opportunity is right in front of me.

I'm not willing

to give it up.

Ming Hao,

please help me with this once.

I promise

I'll stop after I'm done investigating

Chen Heng Sheng.

You'll need to promise me

not to do anything reckless tomorrow.

Okay,

I promise.

Thank you, Ming Hao.

Since you're sure

of Miss Su's identity,

don't you think

it's better to reveal it to her?

You don't know her.

If I tell her the truth,

she'll go

straight to Huo Jian.

Are you worried about her safety?

I'm worried

it'll alert Huo Jian

and ruin my plan.

The day

my dad passed away two years ago,

the security cameras at the hospital happened to be out of order.

But my dad clearly

told me over the phone

that he would only give

one percent of the shares to Huo Jian.

But when I came back,

there was

ten percent of the shares in the agreement.

There are too many

questionable things in here.

Even if he's the biggest suspect,

but we have

no direct evidence, after all.

So

I don't want to alert Huo Jian just yet.

Mr. Li,

what do we do now?

Huo Jian keeps Miss Su by his side

must be because he wants to look into her.

Huo Jian

is suspecting Su Xie Yi now

because she's

close to me.

So

he won't do anything reckless to her.

It's just

that Su Xie Yi still doesn't know

how terrible the enemy

she has to face is.
