(In-patient Department)

Guess what.

There were many people at the pantry.

I had a hard time going in.

Had I been a little later,

all the hot water would be gone.

Let me clean your face.

Stop it.

You've hurt your hands.

I'll do it myself.

It's okay.

You dried my hair for me.

So let me help you wash your face.

We'll be even, then.

Okay.

(Please Keep Quiet) Hello.

Mister, are you looking for someone?

(Jiangcheng Town Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine)

Room 207, it's time for your IV drip.

You're recovering pretty well.

You're glowing with health.

You took good care of me.

By the way,

there seems to be a man outside

looking for you.

Could it be Ying Song?

It could be Ming Hao.

I lost my phone.

I could only remember his number.

So I asked him

to send some clothes over.

I'll be back soon.

Xie Yi.

She just left

and you're already missing her?

Your girlfriend

is really good to you.

While you were in surgery yesterday,

she waited outside for you.

I wanted to clean her wound,

but she wouldn't let me.

She's really good to you.

Get some rest.

Thank you.

You're welcome.

So Chen Heng Sheng was behind this.

Thanks to Li Ze Liang

that I managed to escape death this time.

I'll thank him on your behalf.

I brought your clothes.

You're hurt.

It's nothing.

It was just a scratch.

Before you do anything next time,

you should tell me in advance.

Even if you don't care about yourself,

you should at least

consider the people who care about you.

Okay.

I promise it won't happen again.

(Yunfeng Hotel)

If it weren't

for Mr. Oscar

who drank that glass of gin and tonic first yesterday,

the one lying in bed

would have been my wife.

Ocean Hotel Corporation

owes me an explanation

regarding this matter.

Mr. Huo,

Miss Su and I hit it off right away.

I trust

there may be a misunderstanding.

But no matter what,

you must give us an answer.

Mr. Roman.

Mrs. Roman,

I'm truly sorry

for having brought you

so much trouble.

About this matter,

we've already started investigating it.

If we found out

that it was a deliberate act,

I give you my word of honor

that no matter who was behind it,

I'll not tolerate that person.

Mrs. Roman,

for you to give us

a chance,

we also regard you and Mr. Roman

as our good friends.

So I firmly believe

that this must be a misunderstanding.

Okay, then.

If you can't give me

a satisfactory answer

by 2:00 this afternoon,

I'll announce

the termination of the cooperation.

Let's go.

Mr. Huo,

before we get to the bottom

of this incident,

wouldn't it be better

if we avoid

giving Mr. Roman the impression

that this is deliberate poisoning?

Chu Chu,

Mr. Roman has already given us

the deadline.

There's not much time left.

I was only trying

to appease them.

As the person in charge,

my nephew

has gone missing

and turned his back on this matter!

I had no choice.

Hello?

Have you found Mr. Li?

Not yet.

I've searched all over the city.

I'm driving towards the suburbs now.

If we don't give a satisfactory answer

by 2:00 this afternoon,

Roman will withdraw from the deal.

You must find Mr. Li

before then.

Okay.

(Incoming Call)

Hello?

Ying Song, it's me.

Mr. Li!

How did it go?

Mr. Roman

has given his ultimatum.

This matter has caused great concern

to Ocean's shareholders.

They'll hold

a shareholders' meeting soon.

We won't know

how Huo Jian and Chen Heng Sheng

will distort the truth at the meeting.

We must go back now.

Ming Hao,

I might need you to settle

the hospital bills first.

Thanks.

Don't worry.

I'll pay you back with interest.

For this clothe too.

I'll accompany him there first.

I'll leave this to you, then.

Xie Yi,

I'll protect you.

What do you mean?

You asked me

to look into Chen Heng Sheng, right?

I want to offer you

some practical help.

Thank you, Ming Hao.

Go on now.

(Corrosive) (Danger)

At 2:00 this afternoon,

we must give Mr. Roman

an explanation.

The shareholders are crying

for a meeting.

In the meeting,

I'll reveal Su Xie Yi's identity.

So

there must be no mistake on your side.

Okay.

Don't worry.

They probably won't be back in time

before everything is over here.

Besides, that place

has no mobile phone signal.

I think nothing will go wrong.

Very good.

After this matter is over,

put out a word

to his driver and let him do the search.

Okay.

Is Chen Heng Sheng reliable?

I helped him solve

his son's issue.

He wouldn't dare to betray me.

(Li Ze Liang)

Mr. Huo,

Mr. Roman has already spoken.

If we don't give him

a reasonable explanation

by 2:00 this afternoon,

he'll officially announce

the cancellation of the auction,

terminate the cooperation with Ocean,

and claim compensation

according to the contract.

What is going on

with Li Ze Liang?

We trusted him so much.

Am I right?

Mr. Huo,

we can't rely on him anymore.

You should think of something.

Ladies and gentlemen,

we've already reached a conclusion

about the incident yesterday.

(Yunfeng Hotel) After what happened,

we've invited a testing laboratory to do a test.

I can confidently

tell you

that it wasn't an accident.

(Dangerous Pollutants. No Admittance)

(Chen Heng Sheng)

Chen Heng Sheng.

Mr. Xie?

What are you doing here?

I remember a book saying

that murders usually return

to the crime scene.

It seems to be true.

I don't know what you mean.

So tell me,

why did you come here

as soon as you got a call

from Li Ze Liang?

Li Ze Liang...

Mr. Li is missing.

Everyone is worried.

I came here by following the trails.

Is there anything wrong with that?

I have looked into someone lately.

His name

is Chen Wei Ran.

In front of you

is the testing report.

According to

what we know so far,

it was Su Xie Yi

who mixed this drink

(Testing Report) for Mrs. Roman.

But Oscar drank it

during the process,

which led to him being poisoned.

Other than Su Xie Yi,

who else has touched this drink?

This is what I'm about to tell you.

Based on the surveillance footage,

Su Xie Yi was the only one

who touched this drink.

So we're certain

that Su Xie Yi is the one behind it.

Her target

was Mrs. Roman.

Are we going to convict her

just because she was the only one

who touched that drink?

My apologies.

I'm merely stating the facts.

During the absence

of the person in question,

who are we to make such an assumption?

Let me ask you, then.

Where is she now?

Yes,

find her and confront her.

After the incident,

Su Xie Yi left Yunfeng Hotel

and can't be contacted until now.

What's more strange

is Mr. Li is also missing.

Did they flee to escape from punishment?

Let me ask you this.

They fought hard to win the chance

to host Fujiade Auction

themselves.

And Mr. Li is the only person in charge

of this project.

Why would Su Xie Yi do this

when she's Mr. Li's girlfriend?

I had my doubts

about this question in the beginning.

But after the investigation,

I finally understood the reason she did it.

The truth is,

Miss Su is not only

an employee of Ocean

and Li Ze Liang's girlfriend.

She has another identity too.

That is...

I think

the person in question

should be answering that herself.

Everyone suspects

that I dislike Mrs. Roman

and want to poison her.

The key

is every witness and evidence

all point to me being the only one

who touched that drink.

Isn't that enough?

Has it ever occurred to you

that there might be another possibility?

Before I made

the gin and tonic,

the ingredients I used

had already been poisoned.

This is the lemon

I used to make the gin and tonic

and the pick

that Oscar was using.

Aren't you curious

about why this pick would turn black?

(People with experience)

will use this to clean bracelets

while I

use it to clean my pick.

What I'm trying to say here

is that the lemon had been poisoned by someone earlier.

After Oscar used this lemon

to clean his pick,

it naturally turned black.

As for these lemons,

they were prepared

by Chen Heng Sheng.

Mr. Li and I found out

that he wanted

to destroy the poisoned lemons.

So we tailed him.

We were found out.

He pushed us

into an abandoned warehouse

to confine us.

That's right.

If we didn't manage

to escape in time,

we would have been

dead in the warehouse.

What?

I can't believe that actually happened.

But

that's only your side of the story.

Do you have any evidence?

That's right.

Miss Su,

the account of your experience sounds reasonable.

But how do we know

if Oscar used the pick in your hand

on that same day?

Oscar gave her

that pick.

I can attest to that.

Chu Chu,

how are you certain it's the same pick?

That's right.

You can just use

a random blackened pick

and say it was robbed by a poisoned lemon.

This evidence is outrageous.

How do you expect us to believe you?

Have they given you any response?

Not yet.

Have you contacted the logistics company?

Yes.

We can move

the auction items anytime.

Inform the lawyer

to file a lawsuit against Ocean

after we've moved all the auction items.

All right.

You want evidence, right?

It's on you now.

What now?

I was behind

all of this.

I poisoned the drink.

My real target was Mrs. Roman.

My only goal

was to disrupt the auction.

So that Li Ze Liang would take the fall.

I have looked into someone lately.

His name

is Chen Wei Ran.

You must be familiar with this person, right?

What are you trying to do?

Within two years of graduating

from high school,

Chen Wei Ran became

a famous violinist with natural talent

in the music industry.

Just tell me

what you want.

This matter

has nothing to do with my son.

Yes, it's not.

I'm just curious.

After graduating from high school,

he didn't continue

his studies.

He even traveled around for three years.

How did he become a top student

of an internationally renowned music academy

in a blink of an eye?

I think there's more

to this story, right?

What exactly do you want to say?

This is the graduation photo

of the music academy that year.

There wasn't any Chen Wei Ran

in this photo.

Coincidentally,

there are a few of my friends

in this photo.

They said

they don't know any Chen Wei Ren.

If this matter

gets out,

will his graduate certificate still be useful?

Mr. Xie,

no matter what happened.

This matter

has nothing to do with my son.

If you have any requests,

you can tell me.

This has nothing

to do with my son.

It wasn't easy for my son

to achieve what he has today.

You can't ruin his future,

Mr. Xie.

So you know

we can't ruin anyone's future.

No matter what,

tell me

what you want.

Do you want money?

Give me a number.

I can give it to you.

I'll do anything you want.

How about that?

Don't touch my son, okay?

Please...

I don't care who you're harming!

But not

Su Xie Yi.

Su Xie Yi.

You're lucky that she's okay.

Or else, I wouldn't know

how I should punish you.

Mr. Xie.

Mr. Xie, please.

No matter what happened,

this has nothing to do

with my son.

I'll do anything you say.

Please, I beg you.

Okay?

It's simple.

You should take the blame for your action.

Don't let others be the scapegoat.

Chen Heng Sheng,

you have the nerve to do this?

Or did someone

put you up to this?

Chen Heng Sheng,

as long as you tell us

who's behind this,

I promise

I'll do my best to lighten your sentence.

Chen Heng Sheng.

The late Mr. Li Senior treated you well.

How could you do this

to his only son?

You're so heartless!

I'm so disappointed

in you.

Yes.

I did everything

myself.

But have anyone of you

considered my situation?

After Li Ze Liang comes back,

you cast aside Yunfeng Hotel

because of an auction.

For Yunfeng Hotel

to achieve what it has today,

isn't it all

because of me?

Have you ever considered

my situation at all?

That's right.

I was the one

who locked Li Ze Liang and Miss Su

in a sealed-off warehouse.

That was because they came after me

after they found out I was trying

to destroy the poisoned lemons.

But I never thought

of endangering

your lives at all.

Since I've already started it,

I had no other choice.

You scum!

How could you do such a thing

and damage the company's image?

I did everything

myself.

I'll take the responsibility myself.

We've found the culprit,

and time is almost up.

How do we explain this to Roman?

Ze Liang,

you're in charge of the auction.

What do you think?

I'll leave Chen Heng Sheng to the police.

I'll be in charge of the auction until the end.

Wait for me in the room.

(Yunfeng Hotel)

Thank you.

Mr. Li,

I'm serious at work.

I can't allow

any mishaps at work.

I'm glad we have cleared the misunderstanding.

If I cancel

the auction now,

I'll be under more pressure

than you are.

Of course.

The outcome

is a win-win situation

where everyone is happy.

I've already told you

that Miss Su also mixed the drinks

for me after that.

If she wanted to hurt me,

would I still be standing here

safe and sound?

In any case,

I still need to thank

both of you

for your trust and support.

I guarantee

this auction

will be a success.

Good.

We look forward to it.

This way, please.

Let's go.

Okay.

Ze Liang,

what did you tell

Mr. Roman?

Have you heard

of bongkrekic acid?

I asked Oscar to admit

that he ate expired food,

which led to food poisoning.

That's why he passed out on the stage.

Of course, Mr. Roman's ultimate goal

is that the auction

can be held as scheduled.

So even if this reason

doesn't make so much sense,

he would choose to believe it.

That's why he explained to the guests

for us on the stage.

I knew

Huo Jian

was behind this.

Chu Chu,

I've already told you

that I don't want you to get involved

in the business between Huo Jian and me.

(I finally understood why she did it.)

The truth is,

Miss Su is not only

an employee of Ocean Hotel

and Li Ze Liang's girlfriend.

She also has another identity.

During the meeting, he said

Su Xie Yi has another identity

other than being your girlfriend.

What's her identity?

Ji.

Miss Su?

Don't tell me that you want to use this car again.

I can't let you use it.

It's a company car.

You got me wrong.

I'm here to ask

if you have the contact number

of Yan's attending doctor.

Why do you need it?

Yan's leg has inflammation.

I want to ask

the attending doctor

how to take care of him better.

He got hurt because of me.

I feel guilty about it.

So I want to do something for him.

I've sent it to you.

Thank you, Ji.

Don' tell Mr. Li

I gave it to you, okay?

Okay.

(Sorry,)

(the subscriber you've dialed)

(can't be connected for the moment.)

Don't take what Huo Jian said seriously.

His goal

is to suppress me

and stop me from proving my worth.

Ze Liang,

if you and Su Xie Yi

are putting on an act.

Don't you think you should end it now?

Huo Jian is obviously

using Su Xie Yi as an excuse

to target you.

If you continue with your act,

you'll be in danger.

It'll only bring harm

to yourself and your career.

I know you're worried.

But it is already

in the past.

If it has happened once,

it'll happen again.

I don't want

to see you get hurt.

Do you know how much I worried

about you last night?

I'm sorry.

I just hope

you can protect yourself.

As for Miss Su,

it's best for you two

to keep your distance for now.

Chu Chu,

thank you for worrying about me.

I'm certain Xie Yi and I

will be more mature

in our decision-making.

As for Chen Heng Sheng,

I've reported it to the police.

After he's convicted,

I'll ask you

to prepare

a final official statement

in the name of the hotel.

Okay.

I'll send Chen Heng Sheng off.

Thanks for your coffee.

Mr. Roman has decided

to continue cooperating with us.

The shareholders

are satisfied with Li Ze Liang's decision.

We seem to have underestimated

this nephew of yours.

He can't take over Yunfeng Hotel

that easily.

Mr. Li, eat slowly.

Why?

Listen.

Since last night,

I only had

some oats with milk.

I didn't each much

this morning either.

When I sent Mr. Chen off,

my stomach was growling.

And you're telling me to eat slowly?

Then dig in.

Pass those soup dumplings to me.

Huo Jian had it too easy

since Chen Heng Sheng took all the blame.

By the way,

have you sorted

all of Huo Jian's purchases

in the name of the hotel?

Those works of art

have been transported from Ocean

to the warehouse designated by you.

Works of art?

Those are just a pile of counterfeits,

a pile of trash.

He suggested my father

buy the so-called works of art

on the grounds

that a five-start hotel needs class.

My dad thought that he had a point.

But he didn't know much about art collections.

Out of his trust toward Huo Jian,

he left the matter entirely

to him.

Unexpectedly...

Huo Jian took the money

for himself.

If we haven't been investigating

this matter secretly for the past year,

I fear no one would ever

discover this secret.

Why did you think

I worked so hard

to fight for this auction?

I'm not only doing this

to seek the limelight.

The experts will be

at this auction.

Those works of art

are Huo Jian's weakness.

Once we display them,

it'll ruin Huo Jian's reputation.

Tomorrow,

you must make sure

that these things can arrive at the venue smoothly.

Don't worry, Mr. Li.

This move of yours

A good one though.
