A glowing orb splits in
two over the night sky.

Is it connected to one of the

most famous UFO incidents
of all time?

that this was a coverup

and something else was operating
over Phoenix that night.

streaks across
the Amazon jungle.

Are these skies hiding something

far more mysterious
than wildlife?

- [Luis] I was absolutely
floored by the sheer number

of local, indigenous people
tormented by these UAPs.

- [Tony] And bizarre
orbs move with precision

above the Arctic.

Could the Aurora
itself be fueling UFOs?

- [Bobby] I couldn't help but
think like maybe there's a link

between what's going on
with the Aurora Borealis

and those little orbs
use that energy to fly.

- [Tony] Light
formations and orbs

are two of the most
commonly reported UFO types.

Are they connected?

Our experts analyze
the evidence.

These things just magically
appear in the sky.

we'll pass a verdict.

you're looking at an unknown.

- Good evening everyone,
and welcome to,

"The Proof Is Out There."

Arizona is famous,
in UFO circles,

for the Phoenix Lights
incident of 1997,

but most people don't
know that's only one

of several similar incidents

reported in the
area over the years.

Are they connected
and are they legit?

Check this out.

- [Tony] It's October 12th,
2004

in Phoenix, Arizona.

At around 7:45 p.m local
resident Jeff Woolwine

has set up a camera
to film the night sky,

when he captures something
out of this world.

His video shows a bright
white oblong shaped light

hovering in the sky.

Eventually the light
begins to blink

and then remarkably it
appears to slowly split apart,

transforming from
one single object

into two separate entities.

Shortly after they break apart,

the two lights gradually
disappear, one after the other.

- It's amazing, you know,

because you're out there
and you're watching

and these things just
magically appear in the sky.

There's no airplanes
dropping these things out.

There's no explanation on
why these things are here.

- [Tony] Jeff
says this is exactly

what he's spent
years looking for.

- [Jeff] I've been seeing
these Phoenix lights

ever since I was a kid.

And you know, it really
made me go on a quest

to find out what is
really going on here

in our Phoenix skies.

- [Tony] So since this is
Phoenix,

the big question is, is
Jeff's footage related

to the most well-known
UFO sightings here ever?

Journalist MJ Banias takes
us back to March 13th, 1997,

the night that would make
the term Phoenix Lights,

famous worldwide.

- [MJ] Multiple people reported
seeing very strange lights

hovering over Phoenix, Arizona.

They formed a large
V-shaped object

that hovered for several hours.

Other reports circulated
of individual lights

moving around Phoenix as well.

There's some photographs
of lines of lights

that kind of show up in the sky.

- [Tony] At the time,

some felt the V-shape
formed one massive craft,

estimated to be the size of
more than 10 Boeing 747s.

With so many witnesses,

the government was
forced to investigate.

- [MJ] It took several months,

but eventually the
US Military confessed

that they were actually running
operations over Phoenix.

The operation was known as
Snowbird.

A whole bunch of A10
aircraft were in the sky

and they were testing out
different models of flares.

- [Tony] But was that the real
story

or a cover story?

- [MJ] Several people believed
that this was a coverup

and that the Military
was essentially

trying to hide the fact
that something else

was operating over
Phoenix that night.

And Jeff believes that
his video seems to show

that perhaps there is
some sort of resurgence

of the Phoenix Lights.

- It turns out Phoenix Lights

is actually a bit of a misnomer.

The first sightings in 1997
occurred earlier that night

near Henderson, Nevada,
nearly 300 miles from Phoenix.

So, two separate events
could have been conflated

into a single moment.

Either way, the
question still remains,

is Jeff's footage proof that
the Phoenix lights are back?

[dramatic music]

- [Rich] The Phoenix lights
were a triangular shape,

not two lights in
the sky like this.

The residents were
describing one structure

that was having multiple
lights, and this is like one.

So, there's no comparison there

- [Tony] Yet, even if this isn't
related

to the Phoenix lights,

how does one explain
the mind-boggling moment

when Jeff's alleged
UFO appears to divide

into two separate objects,
which then disappear.

- [Marc] Earlier in the video,
it looks like it's just one

object because they're probably
behind each other.

But later on, as the objects
move apart from each other,

it gets more and more elongated,

and then you start to see two
distinct and separate objects.

So, is this a splitting UFO

or is it two objects
behind each other?

- [Tony] If it is two objects,

are they decidedly less
exotic than alien craft?

- [Marc] Are they balloons?

Are they drones?

Are they aircraft?

Well, this was 2004.

It's not very likely
that they were drones,

unless it was some
kind of Military drone.

- [Tony] The main type

of unmanned Military
aircraft in use in 2004

was the remotely
operated Predator drone.

It's the size and shape
of a small airplane,

which also doesn't explain how
the lights on it could split,

like we see in this video.

So, does that mean we need
to call this a UFO after all?

D'Antonio has his doubts.

- This was probably a
launch of two sky lanterns.

- [Tony] A sky lantern

is a miniature hot air balloon
made out of oiled paper

and a wire frame with
an opening at the bottom

for a candle or other
small source of fire.

- [Marc] The giveaway
is that they vanish.

That's because the
flame packets are fuel

and that fuel gets exhausted
after a little while.

And when it gets exhausted,
the flame goes out.

And that's just
what we see here.

- Our verdict, this
splitting object or objects

remain unidentified.

De Antonio's sky lantern
idea is intriguing,

but how could they
fly so close together

that they appear as one?

The original Phoenix Lights
and similar incidents

in the Phoenix area in the 2000s

have been attributed to flares

set off by the
Military and others.

Yet there are still those
who are skeptical of these

down-to-Earth explanations.

We have seen alleged
UFOs that fly around

at hypersonic speeds and even
dive in and out of the water.

But what about a UFO
that doesn't move at all?

Our next video features
a strange object

that seems to be making the
rounds without going anywhere.

Take a look.

[dramatic music]

- [Tony] April 27th, 2023.

A couple is driving
home through the desert

just outside Las Vegas, Nevada.

Around 9:00 p.m they
notice something strange

hovering in the night sky.

Fascinated, they pull
over to a fence line

and watch in amazement.

Beyond a chain link
fence, a row of sparkling,

multicolored lights
hovers in midair.

- [Tony] The formation is
completely static,

attracting attention all over
town

before allegedly disappearing, a
minute or two later,

- Another Las Vegas
resident saw the same thing

northwest of his neighborhood.

That eyewitness said
that these lights

didn't match up with any
helicopter he'd ever seen.

- [Tony] The incident even makes
local news.

Reporters check with
a nearby airport,

but no flights can explain

these stationary
lights in the sky.

Instead, some theorize
they're connected

to secret Military craft.

After all, the
American West is dotted

with special-use airspace
and Nevada is no exception.

In fact, one local Military
base seems a likely culprit.

- [Amy] Nellis Air Force Base
is one of the biggest

and also one of
the most secretive.

In fact, it's one of the
places that trains pilots

in some of the most
cutting edge airplanes

that the Military
has at its disposal.

Vertical takeoff and
landing is a technology

that the Military is
actively working on.

These aircraft can
take off vertically

without any kind of runway,

making them great for small
areas or even aircraft carriers.

They can hover just like
these lights in this video

and would remain
completely stationary.

So, could these lights be some

new kind of vertical takeoff
and landing technology?

- [Tony] Problem is Nellis also

denies having anything
to do with these lights,

but there is another nearby
base to consider, Area 51,

which some UFO
investigators believe

may be the site of a UFO
reverse engineering program.

- [Amy] In 2023, Pentagon

whistleblower David Grusch

did testify that the
government was trying to

reverse engineer UFO technology.

So, that would be consistent
with this potential sighting.

[dramatic music]

- In March, 2021, roughly two
years prior to this sighting,

Vegas residents noticed another,

nearly identical, set
of stationary lights

hovering over the city.

Authorities later identified
those lights as flares.

Will our experts say the
same for this sighting

or will these lights
lead us elsewhere?

[dramatic music]

- [Tony] Since that 2021 case

turned out to be flares?

Are these new lights
just flares too?

- Typically, flares are
going to be only one color,

and the color that a flare is

depends on the chemical
element that's involved.

So for instance, if
we're using sodium,

like it's used in
some streetlights,

it's gonna be a
yellowish orange hue.

Or perhaps if we're
using magnesium,

then we would have flares
that are more whitish.

But you're not going to
have color changing flares

that is very unusual.

- [Tony] So then
could we be looking at lights

from emergency vehicles,

maybe on a distant hill we
can't see, since it's nighttime.

- The colors are
not the right type

of first responder lights
that you would be expecting.

These are the colors
of the rainbow

and typically first responders
are blue, red and white

and maybe amber.

- [Tony] So even though there
are some hills

in the surrounding area,

we know this isn't police cars
on them.

But could they be attached to a
vehicle in the sky,

like those vertical takeoff and
landing planes?

- I would say definitely not.

They wouldn't be using rainbow
colored lights to fly around.

They're set up to hover,

but you would hear those
type of distinct engines.

None of this fits any of that.

- [Tony] If a craft
is small enough, however,

noise could be negligible.

Could these simply be
consumer grade drones?

- [Matthew] Drones have the
ability to hover

and drones will be
producing lights,

but drones are not gonna
be able to hover perfectly.

There's always gonna be a little
bit of movement in the air

and it's very hard to
keep drones in place

in that kind of a situation.

- [Tony] Perfectly
still, rainbow lights

may not match any aircraft,

but they are reminiscent of
something we've seen before.

In previous episode,

we investigated these
stationary Vegas lights

and found they were simply
reflections in the clouds

of lights from the Hilton, the
Encore, and the Wynn hotels.

However we checked,
and these lights

are not in the immediate
vicinity of any big casinos.

- [Lenval] Due to the
configuration and color of the

lights, I would definitely say
you're looking at an unknown.

- [Mattthew] I have no idea what
these rainbow colored

lights are. And my final verdict
is genuine UFO.

[dramatic music]

- [Tony] Our verdict for
this one, genuine UFO.

This is one video
of lights in the sky

that certainly hit the jackpot.

- [Tony] Many people believe
that indigenous tribes

from around the globe
experienced and interacted

with alien phenomena
in centuries past,

and some tribes in
the Amazon may still

be having similar
encounters to this very day.

[dramatic music]

- [Tony] It's July, 2024

in the Brazilian state of Acre.

UFO researcher Rony Vernet has
headed deep into the Amazon

after hearing reports
of strange phenomena

among one of the jungle's
indigenous tribes.

- [Tony] Rony sets up his
cameras

and captures something strange.

[dramatic music]

This video recorded off of
Vernet's computer monitor

shows several
fireball like orbs,

which move across
the night sky slowly,

but then start to zigzag
at lightning speed

in different directions.

Take a closer look as
these strange fireballs

strobe around the sky.

[dramatic music]

- [Tony] Vernet has
kept the specific location

of this video secret,

and by far it's not the only
UFO sighting in the area.

- This is just one in a
long history of UAP events

that had been reported around
the Brazilian rainforest.

In fact, Brazil had
its own Roswell event

which occurred back in 1977,
known as the Colares Incident.

The locals for a period
of time were tormented

by what they allege
as UAP coming down

and even sucking the blood

from some of the
civilian population.

In fact, Brazilian Military
and law enforcement

were called in at the
national level to investigate

- [Tony] The Brazilian Air Force

named their investigation
Operation Saucer,

which included over
500 photographs

and 15 hours of film.

- [Luis] The doctors who
responded to this incident

all substantiated that
there were people,

both civilian and Military,

sustained what appeared
to be burns or lesions,

possibly the type of
damage a high energy laser

would do to human tissue.

- [Tony] And these South
American encounters

weren't just limited to Brazil.

- [Luis] When I spoke to
authorities in Peru,

in Argentina, in
Chile, in Uruguay,

I was absolutely floored by
the sheer number of reports

that seemed so eerily
similar to that of Brazil

and the Colares Incident.

Local indigenous people
tormented by these UAP,

it was a routine occurrence.

[dramatic music]

- Could there be
alien life forms

running rampant
in South America?

According to Elizondo,

indigenous communities
from Peru,

Argentina, Chile and Uruguay

have all experienced
UAP phenomenon,

not unlike those reported
from the Brazilian rainforest.

Let's see what our experts
think is actually going on here.

[dramatic music]

- [Tony] Many have
commented these fireballs

appear to be meteors.

- The bright light
we see with a meteor

is actually it
burning up as it comes

into the Earth's atmosphere.

Depending on what the
meteor is comprised of,

you can get a variety of colors,

but usually not these kind
of flaming oranges and reds.

- [Tony] Only very slow moving
meteors

occasionally appear
red or orange.

While faster ones
like this object

are generating such intense heat

that they typically glow
white, blue or green.

So, if it wasn't a meteor,
could it have been an airplane?

- [LT. Tim] The consistency of
the flashing pattern to me

really speaks to it being
a commercial aircraft.

The warning lights that
are on commercial aircraft,

they're evenly space
like we see there.

- [Tony] But an aircraft isn't
capable

of something we see here
that's truly anomalous,

the object's erratic motion,

- [Rich] It's a very quick
maneuver

that these things are
doing on the screen.

That's instantaneous
acceleration, that's it's doing.

And I can honestly say

that I've not seen
anything like that before,

that's been recorded.

- [Tony] So could this in fact

be some type of alien craft?

- [Rich] It's on a monitor and
the person zooms in and

zooms out. Something that's very
clearly an object

that somehow moves
very instantaneously

in different directions.

That could be a video artifact.

If it's legitimately an object,

this is very, very,
very compelling.

- [Tony] An object

that may gain further
legitimacy due to its behavior

which mirrors previous
activity reported in the area.

- [Rich] This video here is just
another one of those,

like, mysteries we see in Brazil

throughout its entire history.

You are having reports
of these lights

that were moving
around in the sky

and you had medical evidence

that's supporting
anecdotal evidence.

And many of these indigenous
cultures in Brazil,

they're seeing craft or
something that's in the sky

that they can't account for.

Ultimately these objects
were doing all those things

that UAPs typically do.

[dramatic music]

- Our verdict, our
experts can't come

to any definitive conclusion,

so we're going to have
to go with Genuine UFO,

if only because these objects
are still unidentified.

One thing is for sure we'll
keep in close contact with Rony

and share more of his
fascinating work in the Amazon.

saw it, I gotta say.

I definitely had
some questions too.

- [Tony] September 24th, 2022,

Chad Turner and his girlfriend

are enjoying a
leisurely evening stroll

outside their apartment complex

in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

But then at about 7:30 p.m
something strange in the sky

grabs their attention.

- [Chad] Out here,
looking at something

we don't know what it is.

- [Tony] Chad quickly
breaks out his cell phone

and captures this.

- [Tony] A bright, white
dot

moves slowly above the trees.

[dramatic music]

A closer look reveals its
emitting beams of light

that appear to form a
peculiar arrow like shape.

As a fan of the show, Chad
knows what to do next.

He starts to break
down the possibilities.

We were kind of
awe stricken by it,

but at the same time we
were a little nervous too.

You know, because you don't
where this thing is gonna go.

- [Tony] Chad follows the
object

until suddenly it disappears.

- [Girlfriend] It's gone.

Not here.

- [Chad] Yo, that's crazy.

- [Tony] Is it possible

Chad captured a genuine UFO?

- On December 9th, 1965,
an acorn shaped fireball

fell through the sky and
landed in a wooded area

near the small town of
Kecksburg, Pennsylvania.

This was so bright that
people saw it in six states

and even in Canada.

It was such a powerful landing

that observers heard the crash
and felt the ground shutter

when it impacted.

- [Tony] Teitel says the crash
area

was later sealed by the
US Army who told everybody

there was nothing in the woods.

- [Amy] It wasn't until 40 years
later that the US government

and NASA said that
the object had in fact

been a downed Soviet satellite.

A lot of people who
saw the fireball

didn't accept this
as the explanation

and were convinced that it was
something extraterrestrial.

- [Tony] Let's take a closer
look at Chad's video.

What I find most fascinating
about this object

is the triangle like shape of
the vapor trail left behind.

This angle right here is
almost a perfect 90 degrees.

It's definitely unlike any
exhaust pattern I've ever seen.

But let's find out
what our experts think.

[dramatic music]

- [Tony] While we encourage
viewers

to send us videos,

we also need to make sure
we're not getting Punked.

So, first we send Chad's footage

to video forensic
analyst, Michael Primeau.

- [Michael] There was an
abundance of specific metadata

throughout the file

and because it retained
the GPS information

that's significant in
terms of processing.

Because if this was something
that was fabricated,

for example or CGIed, we
wouldn't have that data.

I detect no evidence to
suggest that this is,

been fabricated or manipulated.

- [Tony] Okay, we have a legit
video,

but of what, could it be a UFO?

- I certainly can
understand why people

would consider it to be a
UFO or something unusual,

but there's no
instantaneous acceleration.

All you see is a very consistent
movement across the sky.

There's nothing
extra terrestrial in

my looking at that.

- [Tony] If it's not a UFO,

could it be another kind of
extra terrestrial visitor?

It's a possibility
that Chad considered.

- [Tony] But Rich Hoffman has
doubts.

- Meteors basically
last a few seconds.

And it would have been
a long trail of a flame

or something like that
coming back from the bottom.

But the effect in the
atmosphere that you see

is very, very symmetrical.

- Tim McMillan believes it's
that symmetrical contrail

that provides an important clue.

- [LT. Tim] We see a more
consistent dense contrail

that's coming behind it.

So, this tells me we're seeing,

a lot of the telltale signs

of this is a manmade
object that's burning fuel.

- [Tony] Rather than something

falling down to Earth,

McMillan sees evidence
for something going up.

- To me, it definitely
had characteristics

that led me to believe this
was probably a SpaceX launch

because of the interesting cone
and shape that we see here.

- [Tony] Hoffman adds that a
rocket

also explains why Chad
and his girlfriend

quickly lost sight of the
object behind a row of trees.

- [Rich] What happens is the
first stage, separation,

and then there's a second
stage and then it separates,

it cuts off the engines.

So, as they're moving to
the other side of the tree,

you don't see any effects

'cause it's not burning
the engines any longer.

- [Tony] Ultimately, McMillan
says,

the records confirm the theory.

- [LT. Tim] In checking when
this was filmed,

we could say with a high
degree of certainty,

is the launch of a
Falcon 9 SpaceX rocket

out of Cape Canaveral, Florida,

carrying Starlink satellites
into the Earth's atmosphere.

- Our verdict, rocket launch.

Chad, sorry to dash your hopes
of capturing a genuine UFO,

but we agree with our experts
that the pieces of the puzzle

all fit for a SpaceX
Falcon 9 launch, that day.

- [Tony] Seeing the Aurora
Borealis or the Northern Lights

is certainly on my bucket list,

and Canada is a
great place for it.

In certain parts of the country,

they appear up to
300 nights a year.

But one Canadian family says

they recently saw
something just as amazing

and a lot more unexpected.

- [Tony] May 10th, 2024,

it's between 10 and 11:00 p.m
in Kelowna, British Columbia.

Bobby Vandenhoorn and his family

are gathered on
his rooftop patio

hoping to catch a glimpse
of the Aurora Borealis.

- The Aurora Borealis is a
beautiful natural phenomenon.

Essentially, as the sun is
giving off solar energy,

Essentially, as the sun is
giving off solar energy,

it's flying through space

and it slams into the
Earth's atmosphere.

All of those charged particles

interact with the
various molecules

that make up Earth's atmosphere
and burn up into light.

And we get this spectacular,
beautiful light show

as a result.

- [Tony] But as the Vandenhoorn
family

waits for the lights
to appear overhead,

something else catches
their attention.

- [Tony] Bobby records
a cluster

of five bright white orbs
twinkling in the distance.

- [Tony] And that's
just the start.

As the night goes on,

Bobby takes several more videos
of strange light formations

and he says the footage
doesn't capture the half of it.

- I probably saw about 20
plus groups of those orbs

and each group had anywhere
from you know, two to three,

all the way up to
25 to 30 of them.

- [Tony] Bobby posts the video
online

and even submits it
to the local news,

where it draws
thousands of eyes.

- I couldn't help but think
like maybe there's a link

between what's going on
with the Aurora Borealis.

Whenever energy comes into
the atmosphere from that,

perhaps those little orbs
use that energy to fly.

- Look at that.
- What is that?

- [Tony] It turns out the
Northern Lights

have been especially
active lately.

In 2024, they were even visible
as far south as Florida.

Scientists say,
that's because the sun

is in its solar maximum, the
peak of its 11-year cycle.

Can solar activity explain
Bobby's unusual encounter

or will our experts find
another source for his sighting?

[dramatic music]

- [Tony] At times
the lights form a V-shape,

so we have to consider
if they could just be

a V-shaped aircraft.

- There's a number of
aircraft that could match

the V-shape that we see.

The B2 Bomber has
a V-shape to it.

But what they don't have
is independent lighting

that moves relative to
the other lights on board.

These lights are actually
moving independently.

So, this is why I think there
are five independent objects.

- The way these
lights are moving,

it almost seems like a
choreographed movement.

I think there is
a high probability

that what we're
looking at are drones.

This particular day

was one of the largest
geomagnetic storms

to ever hit the Earth.

We know that there
are a lot of people

with their eyes on the sky.

And given that the Aurora
Borealis hasn't started yet,

these drones could
be the pre-show.

- [Tony] But if this is a drone
show,

it's not a particularly
visible one.

- [Marc] He had to zoom in to be
able to show them better.

That's 'cause they were at
a relatively high altitude.

They might have been at
3,000 feet or 4,000 feet.

Drone shows don't occur
high up in the sky.

They generally occur
down low to the ground

and we're not seeing that here.

- [Tony] Instead, like the
Aurora itself,

these flying objects may
have a natural explanation.

- [Marc] If you watch Canada
geese,

you'll see something
really impressive.

You'll see that the
leader is in front

during the brunt of
the forces hitting him.

When the leader gets tired
and drops back into the V,

another leader will emerge.

And we could be seeing these
two coming up to the lead.

[dramatic music]

- [Tony] Now we've seen
reflective birds

mistaken for UFOs before.

However, those had an obvious
light source beneath them,

a greenhouse.

But these don't.

But these don't.

- Birds don't produce
their own light.

If we were looking at
birds, they would have to be

some sort of light
hitting those birds

and reflecting
back to the Earth.

We don't see that here.

[dramatic music]

- Our verdict
unexplained objects.

Between our two experts,

we can't make a call
one way or the other.

We'll have to wait and see
if any more UFOs emerge

from this intense
solar activity.

- [Tony] When it comes to
most UFO encounters,

it's usually just one person

who happens to be at the
right place at the right time.

However, this next incident
got a lot of buzz recently

because it was seen over
two days by multiple people.

So, we've got
different perspectives

of the same strange phenomenon.

But do they lead
to the same answer?

- [Tony] December 1st, 2022,

Fredonia, Wisconsin, it's
just before 11:00 p.m

and after working a long day,
Ken B. is out for a stroll.

and after working a long day,
Ken B. is out for a stroll.

- So I was walking outside
and it's very dark.

We do not have street
lights or anything like that

in the area.

- [Tony] Suddenly something
dashes above Ken

in the night sky.

So he pulls out his cell
phone and captures this.

A group of four lights
quickly streak across the sky.

- [Ken] And they appeared from
behind me, went across the sky

and you could see a
little flash of light

right before they disappeared.

- [Tony] Then five more lights,

moving a little more slowly,
make the same startling motion.

- [Ken] It was kind of a
creepy experience.

I'd be kidding you
if I said it wasn't.

- [Tony] The following evening,
Chris Nowak

is 40 miles south, in
Greenfield, Wisconsin,

where he records these
mysterious lights in the sky.

- [Chris] They would pulse
through and race incredibly

quickly. It was like this charge
of light that would go through

from as far back as we could see

literally a second or two.

It really seemed to defy logical
explanation.

- [Tony] Did Ken and Chris
witness

the same mysterious phenomenon?

Could it be alien?

- You can understand
why someone would think

this is something otherworldly

because Wisconsin has an

incredible amount
of UFO sightings

going back to the 1950s.

- [Tony] Teitel notes

that one of the most
controversial sightings

took place in the mid
1960s near Green Bay.

- [Amy] For four nights in a
row,

eyewitnesses observed
and filmed UFO activity,

but when they reported
those incidents

to the National Guard,

all of their films
were confiscated.

In the years that followed,

the individuals
tried to figure out

what it was they were seeing,

but none of them were ever
given straight answers.

[dramatic music]

- [Tony] Wisconsin has been a
UFO hotspot for so long

that over 70 years
ago, husband and wife,

Jim and Coral Lorenzen,
formed a group

known as the Aerial Phenomena
Research Organization

to document UFO cases
from all around the state.

Do these sightings
qualify to make the list?

Let's see what our experts say.

[dramatic music]

- [Tony] Have Ken and Chris

documented another
extraordinary moment

in Wisconsin UFO history.

Rich Hoffman wants to believe,
but in this case he can't.

- [Rich] There's no
instantaneous acceleration

that was visible. These were
consistently moving,

at not even hypersonic speeds,

so the lights were
moving across the sky

and going in a relatively
normal pattern.

There's nothing here that
looks extraterrestrial.

- [Tony] Time to call in

our super sleuth, Mick West.

And right off the bat,

he's sure this isn't
any video trickery.

- [Mick] Chris and Ken's
sightings are similar

in that we see
clouds in both videos

and we see lights
that move around.

- [Tony] But it's the way the
lights change shape

as they move through
the cloud cover,

that gives the biggest
clue in Ken's video.

- If you point a light
straight up at something,

it's a nice round spot.

If it's at an angle, the
further away they get,

the more stretched
out they will get.

And as they get closer in,

we see if they get
shorter and shorter.

- [Tony] This indicates

that lights are being projected

from a fixed point
on the ground.

But what about the Jumpier
lights in the Greenfield video?

- [Mick] We've all used a laser
pointer and had our cats

chase it. I think what we're
looking at here looks like

lights that are being shone
up from below onto the clouds.

- [Tony] So what is
the source of these lights?

Ken and Chris's videos were
filmed at different times

and 40 miles apart.

West investigates
Ken's video first

and learns of another eyewitness
to his exact same sighting.

So, he plots the coordinates.

- [Mick] Now the good thing is
we have another witness.

We know which road she was on

and we know roughly what
direction she was looking in.

So, we can stick her
location on the map.

And she was actually in
a very different location

way down here towards West Bend.

So, now we've got
two lines of sight

from two different people.

- [Tony] Knowing approximately

where the lights came from,
West makes a final call.

- [Mick] I contacted the local
Chamber of Commerce

and they said the
Flanders family

have an annual light show,

which they do for
charity every year,

and the location of
it is more or less

where these two lines crossed.

And they had the spotlights
mounted on the roof of the house

and it's in every
way, it is a match.

- [Tony] It turns out this alien
invasion

is just a celebration
of holiday cheer.

- I think that Ken was looking

at the Flanders family
Christmas lights

and I think that
Chris was looking

at a different set of Christmas
lights about 40 miles away.

[dramatic music]

- [Tony] Our verdict
Christmas spotlights.

It took some detective work,

but we see that, given the
known cloud cover that day,

West's interpretation
makes sense.

And since 'twas the
season for holiday lights,

we think that was the reason.

- In an earlier episode,

we brought you a confounding
story about alleged UFOs

caught on camera in
Warminster, England.

After investigating
this footage,

we came to the conclusion

that it was simply
too good to be true.

The video must
have been altered.

However, a new lead
came in after we aired,

that reminded us that things

may not always be
what they seem.

- [Tony] August, 2018,
Warminster, England,

about a hundred
miles west of London.

From the side of a highway,
the passenger in a parked car

notices something
in the evening sky.

Two bright orbs
moving separately.

At first it looks
like it might be

At first it looks
like it might be

a couple of
helicopters or drones.

But then look at this,

they split into five
or six smaller objects.

The cluster continues
to fly in unison,

illuminating the sky and
coordinating maneuvers

for a full three minutes.

It's reminiscent of a
series of UFO sightings

that occurred in the
area in the 1960s.

These sightings
characterized, at times,

by explosions and hissing
flames in the sky,

came to be known as
the Warminster Thing.

Could this video offer proof

of the Warminster
Thing's return?

We considered UFOs in
secret Military tech,

but ultimately the
answer seemed to come

from testing the validity
of the video itself.

And a suspicious edit gave
one of our experts pause.

- [Marc] The transition out of
the hill was removed from

the video. I think I have to
label this one a hoax.

[dramatic music]

- At the time, our original
analysis led us to believe

that this video was
doctored to deceive.

But then you, our beloved
viewers, got involved

and that changed everything.

[dramatic music]

- [Tony] When the original
segment hit YouTube,

some viewers claim this wasn't
faked footage after all.

- This video really
needed a second look at

because of this new information.

- [Tony] So our
ace video analyst, Mick West,

went back to check the
authenticity of the video

and its suspicious edit.

- I think what actually
happened in this location

was the cameraman simply
moved the camera down,

lost the shot, and then
moved it back up again

as they came out
from behind the hill.

And so they just
did a little edit

to remove that little
bit of dead air.

- [Tony] Because of this,

West doesn't think trickery
or CGI was involved,

which negates our old verdict.

- Everything else about the
video seems very genuine to me.

The way the objects move
seems very consistent.

- [Tony] West also Xed out
other hypothesis,

natural and technological.

- [Mick] There was a bunch of
different hypotheses,

one of which was
a meteor shower,

and you can kind
of rule that out

because it changes direction.

Another possibility, drones
that were rigged with fireworks.

But you don't generally have
drones with fireworks on

because drones are quite small.

Also, Military technology
was kind of ruled out

because they're not
gonna be testing

some kind of secret
Military technology

by the side of a road
where anyone can see it.

- [Tony] Which, to West, only
meant one thing.

- This is obviously something
that isn't secretive,

something that's either
is intended to be seen

or they don't care
if people see it.

- [Tony] But
what other explanations

could have possibly
fit the bill?

The answer almost flew past us.

That is, until we logged
onto social media.

- We were contacted by
a viewer who recognized

what he was seeing on screen

and he suggested that what
we might be looking at

was actually pyrotechnic planes.

- [Tony] Pyrotechnic planes are
aircraft

that use their wide wingspan
to slowly release fireworks

from their wingtips.

They've been used in
a variety of function,

from air shows or weddings,

to the deployment of
destruction in war zones.

But if that's what we're seeing,

who was the responsible party?

All it took was a
simple internet search

of the business located in
the area of the sighting.

- I run the company called
Airborne Pyrotechnics,

and we fly a couple
of Grob motor gliders

with pyrotechnics and LEDs.

And this is my son Tom,
he's my second pilot.

- [Tony] Airborne Pyrotechnics

is run by Tim and Tom Dews,

who have flown all
over the world.

And it's not the first
time one of their displays

has been mistaken for a UFO.

They even have a
warning on their website

for that very reason.

- It's funny, you know, we
can do a really nice display

and put half a dozen
pictures up and get 50 views.

And somebody takes a
shaky, wobbly video of us

from 10 miles away, and you
can't even make out what it is,

says the word UFO,
and it gets thousands,

hundreds of thousands of views.

I just can't understand it.

[dramatic music]

- Our new verdict, you guessed
it, Airborne Pyrotechnics.

The plane the Dews
fly, the Grob 109B

is a twin seat, self
launching motor glider.

It's been used by
the Royal Air Force

to train cadets in basic flying.

- [Tony] From
every corner of the globe,

these unexplained
lights and orbs

continue to mystify
and captivate.

We may not have all
the answers yet,

but we will keep looking,

analyzing and
unraveling the truth.
