Your Highness,

the Kuayi tribe members lurking nearby

have all been eliminated.

That young lady said

she saved you in the crisis last night.

"She saved me?"

Yes.

A delicate girl like that

risking her life for you?

Delicate?

Yeah.

She looks barely 20.

Such courage.

If not for her,

you'd be dead.

Could rosemary be here?

Because of her,

I would've

died even sooner.

What a sharp tongue.

But…

Your Highness!

Are you alright?

Your Highness!

Quiet.

Shift back.

He's quite a good guy.

Your Highness,

you searched all day and night yesterday.

Did you find the woman Yang Ping mentioned,

half-beast, half-demon?

Is she a Jadeling?

[You searched all day and night yesterday.]

[Did you find the woman Yang Ping mentioned,]

[half-beast, half-demon?]

I didn't.

Lady Benefactor.

Lady Benefactor!

Lucky Cloud, are you feeling better?

Your Highness,

since this lady is your savior,

let me prepare some money

and send her home.

- No! - No!

Why?

Why don't you wanna go back?

I…

My parents died when I was young.

Now I'm almost 18,

and they want me to marry

a man I don't even know.

Lucky Cloud,

could you

take me out of the mountains

to see the outside world?

Alright.

The Emperor is gravely ill.

We've already delayed two days.

Tomorrow, we return to the capital.

Understood.

So you can't bear to part with me either?

Yes.

You are my savior.

How could I let you leave?

Until you lift my curse,

I,

won't let you off easy.

Come, dinner's ready!

Lianhua's cooking is best!

Yes, better than ours!

Let's start!

Jiangzhu, have some more!

So tasty!

[Finally, a decent meal!]

[Wait!]

[Not yet!]

Your Highness,

isn't she your savior?

Why are you…

Never thought the truth serum from Xisai

would be used on her.

Qingniang,

put this in all the dishes.

Once she eats,

for two hours,

she cannot lie.

As you command.

So many dishes prepared for you,

eat whatever you like.

Yunshuang told me,

if the host hasn't started eating,

I cannot eat first.

Since when do you care about rules?

You eat first, then.

[Foolish demon.]

Why insist on coming with me?

To find rosemary with you.

And then?

To cast the sound spell on you…

to make you forget Yunshuang and Lixue,

and make you forget about hunting Jadelings…

Why did I say all that?

How is the curse lifted?

It requires…

Requires what?

Spit it out.

Spit it out!

Spit it out now.

Out with it!

Don't force my hand.

Spit it out and talk.

Quickly!

Spit it out.

Spit!

Your Highness, the palace…

An urgent summons.

His Majesty commands your presence.

Understood.

Keep her under watch.

Station heavy guards,

no negligence.

Miss,

will you… finish your meal?

Yes.

Uncle,

you're finally back.

Uncle, on your victorious return,

I should have welcomed you personally.

Rather than your welcome,

I'd rather see you stand soon

to fight

beside me on the battlefield.

I'm useless.

Truly useless,

or simply unwilling?

This victory,

your contribution is undeniable.

Credit goes to your guidance, Father.

Yet returning to the capital,

you delayed two days.

Grandfather,

Uncle must have been injured,

that's why he's late.

Yuheng,

leave us.

Uncle,

forgive my impertinence.

But please visit Zhaohua

at Jianxiang Studio.

Give her my regards.

You're quite concerned

about my betrothed.

Father,

why summon me?

What occupied those two days?

Matters of the heart.

[Oh no!]

[Never thought the truth serum from Xisai]

[would be used on her.]

A mere woman

has stolen your reason?

Not mere,

she's special.

I can't fathom her,

yet she…

seized my heartbeat,

and stole my breath away.

Your Highness,

stop talking!

Let him speak!

Seized how?

Stole how?

Her hands were cold.

The moment I held her,

I was bewitched.

She made me lose control,

made me yearn to protect her.

But her heart was warm.

Without her,

I would have

died at Kuayi hands.

Preposterous!

You're swayed by

some irrelevant woman?

What happened 12 years ago,

have you forgotten?

one wrong decision of mine

led to

my battlefield comrades

being slaughtered

by Jadelings.

And still,

you haven't eliminated the 13 Jadelings

who escaped!

Have you forgotten your identity,

and your duty?

I…

dare not forget.

The fault is mine.

I accept any punishment.

Cheng Su.

Here.

I betrothed Qin Zhaohua to you,

yet you still dally with others?

Since you've returned,

you two shall

marry soon!

Miss Qin,

His Highness has audience with His Majesty.

These gifts are from him.

He'll discuss the wedding date soon.

Grateful for his concern.

Miss, your things are packed,

time for the Grand Heir's treatment at Purity Palace.

Not going.

Others can also treat his legs.

Yun'er,

prepare his medical records

and send them to the Imperial Medical Bureau.

Then I'll also note

the Golden-healing the Grand Heir often uses.

He fell two days ago,

arm landing on vase shards.

Vase shards?

He's injured?

I don't know details.

Shijin said there was a deep gash,

he couldn't bear to look.

I've devoted so much care

to Your Highness's health.

How are you hurt again?

Miss Qin,

I am to blame.

His Highness found a pearl

to mend your mother's hairpin.

The pearl dropped.

I was brewing medicine,

so he fetched it himself,

knocked the vase,

and fell.

That's how…

Shijin,

enough of that.

My own carelessness.

I've brought His Highness's records.

I'll send them to Imperial Medical Bureau.

From now on…

I'll prepare the medicine.

I've cleaned the wound

and changed the dressing.

I shall leave.

Not "Your Highness"

anymore?

Your Highness.

If I weren't injured,

would you have come?

Your Highness,

I'm low-born.

My mother died, father fell in battle.

And my only uncle abandoned me.

It was Prince of Yan

who kept his promise and brought me here.

He let me study medicine,

earn His Majesty's regard,

and treat you.

If you're harmed again,

I can't bear the blame.

I've said what I must.

I should go.

It hurts so much…

Where?

My heart.

Tortured by you

cutting ties with me.

Yuheng…

You didn't just grow up

with Uncle,

you grew up with me too.

You can marry

not just Uncle,

but me too.

Why…

is Miss Qin fleeing?

Shijin,

once this hairpin is mended,

how to surprise Zhaohua?

Well…

Your Highness,

yesterday Miss Qin told me

Prince of Yan is coming back to the capital.

She won't come anymore.

I'll go fetch

Miss Qin to the palace right away!

I deserve death!

This way,

she can rightfully

treat me.

If nothing was there,

why would she flee?

I'll return it to her.

Keep it.

Then,

we have a reason to meet again.

Since Uncle's back,

time for some fun.

Send someone

to watch the Prince of Yan's Mansion.

Your Highness, you were just whipped,

don't overexert yourself.

This is…

After military matters are settled,

take a squad

to Luoxia Forest.

Search each spot on this map.

Perhaps we'll find

where Jadelings hides.

Yes.

Your Highness,

you're no child,

yet His Majesty struck so hard.

He must've known you returned victorious,

already covered in wounds.

Qingniang,

I made a mistake lately.

I deserved it.

While I was at the palace,

anything happened here?

You mean Miss Jiangzhu?

After her meal,

she spoke nothing but truth,

and praised everyone.

She's sweet-natured, quite likable.

Enough.

Keep her close.

Don't let her wander.

Yes.

Oh, Your Highness,

among the items you brought back,

in one chest

hid a scholar-looking man.

He's delirious,

says his wife

is half ghost, half demon.

His wife,

is half ghost,

half demon?
