Original subtitles

Winston Wheeler.

He was a deep cover operative from Ostania's intelligence agency,

and it seems he repeatedly leaked Western secrets to the East.

Red 2 and Red 3 will coordinate with the blue team that's already there

and retrieve both Wheeler and the files.

It's dangerous, but Red 1 will be stalling the State Security Service.

You're the mole for WISE.

Meaning the one over there is Twilight, isn't he?

BATTLE TO THE DEATH IN THE SEWERS

I couldn't even buy a decent amount of time.

Were Nightfall and the others able to capture Wheeler?

Truly, you are quite the impressive imposter.

You definitely live up to your reputation, Twilight.

So, what shall we do now?

Would you like to rip off your disguise yourself?

End of the line...

Bastard!

You're not getting... away?!

Tch. I thought we checked for traps.

I guess he's a monster when it comes to that kind of camouflage, too.

Contact all teams!

Tell them to watch out for traps and seal off all the exits!

Don't think you're gonna get away, you piece of shit!

Yuri!

Hey, are you alive?! Don't tell me he got you!

Which way'd he go?

He went toward the east gate...

East? Got it!

Hmph.

Hey, Yuri! Don't stray away from your post!

But I heard gunfire over there.

He's going east. He won't be able to come back this way.

Sir.

This is the first time I've come here, but my footprints are already here.

What?

Sir, please contact the captain.

This is nothing more than a hunch...

but I think he's down in the sewers.

Don't act without orders!

Shh!

It's not like him to leave footprints behind.

It's proof that he's panicking.

We're just one step away from catching him!

I'll send backup to guard the sewer exits.

Give us a signal immediately if you see anything.

Understood!

It'll be troublesome if he escapes to the mazelike sewers in the city.

I need to find and capture him immediately!

Twilight ruined my fun time tailing Loidy with Sis.

He's going to pay dearly for that!

I'm dea—

Yuri Briar!

Twilight!

Oh, no! I broke one of Loid's plates!

Ow!

It's just one thing after another.

Ugh, this is all Yuri's fault!

A-All because he mentioned infidelity and such.

I wonder if Loid is going to be back late today.

What are you doing, Twilight?

Why did you hesitate for a moment?!

Whoa, are you serious?!

He's actually disguised as me!

He looks just like me! That's so creepy!

So this is his ability...

But seriously, how is it possible for him to look this much like me?!

Could he actually be...

someone close to me who's observed me closely?

Actually, that doesn't matter right now!

Right now...

I'm taking you in!

Ow!

He's so strong!

Just come along quietly!

We have these sewers surrounded!

Well, not completely, but...

And if you don't want to die, go back up to the surface.

Stop speaking in my voice!

You may have trouble eating for a while, but you'll just have to deal.

Impossible...

The one who won't be able to eat is you, because you'll be in a cell!

You can't be serious!

How's he so resilient?!

Is this what happens when you're raised by Yor's violen... er, love and affection?

I can't hold back.

Sis... I'm sorry...

If we still can't get eyes on Wheeler after a certain amount of time...

...we're moving to Plan 221.

No solid leads from the blue team, either.

Since we don't have time or intel right now, I'll just have to take this gamble.

I'm counting on you, Wheeler.

You'd better be keeping an eye on everything somewhere near the hotel.

It's gonna be dangerous,

but I'll use this disguise I borrowed from Twilight and...

lure Wheeler out.

Man, it's hard to walk in this... not to mention hard to see.

Blue 1, secure a car.

Blue 2 to 4, I need you to tail me.

Roger.

Come on, now... Take the bait.

I went to the place where we were supposed to make the deal,

but I never got the signal from Gascoigne, and I couldn't shake

the feeling that something was wrong, but...

I see.

I guess WISE beat us to the punch.

Gascoigne knows he's being followed, too.

Where is he going? Is he changing the meetup location?

Tch.

I guess I'll just be extra careful.

It's likely that Wheeler is acting on his own.

Even if he follows me, he'll have his limits since he's alone.

If I confuse him by pretending I'm trying to shake WISE

and keep an eye out for him,

he'll eventually mess up...

or he should!

Come on, mess up!

He's... not messing up!

Crap, what should I do?

Is he not following me?!

Which is it?!

Is he just not getting too close?

Damn it!

We're just gonna have to make our move.

Blue 1, go!

Aw, man! Now I've really done it!

After reacting to the sound just to be cautious,

someone who's tailing a target will have no choice to but shift their gaze back

so they don't lose their target.

Whoever reacted like that other than us in WISE in this crowd is Wheeler!

He's not here!

No...

There's one person who didn't relocate,

but continued staring at the building across the way after facing the car.

His eyes were following the target's reflection in the window.

If you had worn darker sunglasses, I never would've noticed your gaze.

To be fair, you probably didn't have time to properly prepare.

You're Wheeler!

Someone's watching me?

Tch.

Red 3 here. I'm moving in on the target.

West on 51st.

Blue team, back me up.

Roger.

I won't let you get away!

Twilight is holding off the State Security Service all on his own, after all!

I'll capture you, no matter what.

Red 4, cut him off on 31st!

This game of tag is over, Winston Wheeler.

Put both hands up and get down on your knees.

I'll be taking back the files you stole.

I left the files back at the hotel.

You'll have to go fetch them if you want them.

You clearly lack any sense of humor.

Slowly, without using your hands, lower your backpack.

To think Nightfall had enough of a sense of humor to question someone else's...

I'll give this to you, so let me go.

Don't be ridiculous.

You'd never put top-secret information in something so obvious.

Red 4, search him.

It should be somewhere on his person.

Turn the other way.

Good work, sir. Enjoying your deep-cover life in the East?

You can knock off the chatter right now.

All the books and movies must be much more boring here compared to the West.

You should just go back home and relax.

Thanks to people like you, the last thing we are is bored.

There's no need for your concern.

I found it!

You satisfied now? Anyway, I'll be on my way.

Shut up.

You've got the data copied in your head, don't you?

You'll be coming with us.

I'll at least be able to get you a book while you're in jail in the West,

so you won't get bored.

Isn't that wonderful?

Stand up.

Put down your gun, woman.

Or I'll snap his neck.

We're all standing here knowing our lives are on the line.

Your idle threats won't work on me.

I can see that you're serious.

What a terrifying woman.

Can't say I dislike that, though.

Red 3!

Now, if you'll excuse me.

Someone treat his wounds and secure the files!

I'll go after Wheeler.

Please send the blue team as backup.

You got it!

Winston Wheeler.

You're much tougher than I thought you'd be.

I probably won't be able to defeat him.

I'm definitely at a disadvantage in this pursuit.

Maybe if I wait to regroup with Twilight...

No, there's no guarantee of that happening.

We got the files back.

There's no guarantee that he memorized all the information.

Retreating right now would be the less risky option—

Don't be ridiculous.

He's right, Nightfall.

This is a battle to protect peace

between East and West— to protect Twilight's dream.

You just told Wheeler yourself...

We're all standing here knowing our lives are on the line.

Even if Twilight or I were going to die, we still need to fulfill our mission!

That's right.

It's not that I want to spend the rest of my life with Twilight till death do us part.

Even if I were to fall for Twilight's sake...

Wah! Nightfall!

Ah, nothing could beat dying in Twilight's arms!

What's the matter, Loid?

My beloved died...

Oh, how unfortunate. I'll help you forget her.

Oh, Yor!

No! I absolutely cannot die!

I'll survive so we can till death do us part!

I'm going to capture Wheeler while I also survive,

and I'll protect Twilight at the same time!

FLAWS

Then I'll go back and explain to the Handler all the flaws the current Operation Strix has,

and I'll present a new proposal where I get to play his wife!

You're going to do all of this, Nightfall!

You're going to overcome any obstacle with the power of love!

If I exit through the manhole just a block ahead,

I should be able to escape to safety since the blue team is on standby there.

Footsteps?

Did the State Security Service get ahead of me?

No, those are the footsteps of someone being pursued.

Is it Nightfall and the others being chased by the State Security Service?

Or...

Wheeler being chased by Nightfall and the others?

No, don't jump to any conclusions.

I can't rule out the possibility that it's someone completely unrelated.

I need to be careful...

But if it is indeed Wheeler, I can't let him escape!

The sound of the footsteps disappeared?

Did they realize I was here?

It's hard to determine which way the sound is coming from down here.

Where are they?!

Guess he managed to dodge that.

There's no doubt now! That's Wheeler himself!

Wh-Who are you?!

No, wait... You're Winston Wheeler!

Calm down! I'm with the State Security Service.

I was chasing down a WISE agent and ended up here.

I have no idea what you're doing down here, but thank goodness!

Captain Gascoigne and the others are waiting.

Let's regroup with them.

Just in case, let me take a closer look at that badge.

Of course.

What about the guy you're chasing?

Making sure you're safe is our top priority.

I'm much more exhausted than I expected,

and my arm's pretty badly injured.

I need to catch him off-guard and take him down instantly.

Second Lieutenant Yuri Briar...

He—

Is that the name of the guy you're disguised as?

Before you made the sound of your footsteps disappear,

they sounded like someone being pursued.

It's not good to lie.

You're with WISE, aren't you?

That's an impressive disguise.

Let's see...

Could you actually be Twilight?

We worked on a mission together once in the past, didn't we?

Though we never came face-to-face on that mission.

Now, then...

How about I get a good look at your face

and acquire another little gift to hand off to the State Security Service?

Sounds of a struggle? From over there?

Is it the blue team?

No, the sound of these footsteps is...

Hey, you're the little lady from earlier.

Is this a friend of yours?

No, no, no. That's just Yuri Briar.

What are you saying? He's not my friend.

That's Yuri Briar. Yuri Briar. Yuri Briar!

Give me a second. I was just...

getting to the good part.

Lieutenant! Wake up, Lieutenant!

Sis!

I'm not your sister!

Don't. Any more injuries and he really will die.

Sir!

I don't think I've ever seen you so beat up before.

Did Twilight do that to you? How many minutes have passed since?

It's probably been about fifteen minutes since I was knocked out.

Tch. He might've gotten pretty far, then.

Go regroup up top with the captain and the others and recuperate.

Chloe, take care of him.

I'm on it, sir!

Lieutenant, I thought you were dead.

Yeah, I got lucky.

Actually... why didn't he kill me?

Did he think I was dead? Or did he think I wasn't worth killing?

If that's not it...

If that's not it...

What is it?

Curse you, Twilight!

How dare you punch me while looking like me?!

Actually, I'm going back over to the lieutenant so I can—

Absolutely not. You're injured, and you'll only get in the way.

Don't get in my way, little lady.

I already know the answer to this, but I'm gonna ask again anyway.

If you don't want him to die, would you kindly put down your gun?

I've never seen anyone throw down their weapon like that before.

But thank you for your cooperation.

I didn't think you were such a softie.

I guess you can't let the life of Westalis's ace spy go to waste that easily.

Or perhaps...

Is he someone precious to you?

You shouldn't let your feelings get involved with this job, little lady.

You never know when either of you might die,

and who knows when you might get betrayed?

I'm never going to trust anyone.

I won't ask someone to watch my back or anything else.

That's why I can always look down upon everyone in this world.

And that's exactly why I'm strong.

Neither you nor this guy could ever defeat me.

How foolish.

Are the guys from the West all like this?

I almost feel like I didn't have to risk my life to steal these damn top-secret files.

She's in a blind rage, so she's gonna throw a straight.

My condolences, little lady.

It'll only take one punch to counter her.

No, wait. What?

Her step and her swing are way too fast. I should parry...

No, I won't make it in time. I need to guard.

She probably has brass knuckles under her glove.

But she's light as a feather, so a blow from her won't—

Wha?!

Huh?

A WORLD WHERE WE CANNOT SURVIVE
