the proudest and fiercest of all Apache war chiefs,

fled from the San Carlos Reservation.

Once more they would wage war

against the men who had dared to invade their homeland.

back onto the reservation.

what was just a short while ago a wilderness.

It is certainly not the army's wish or desire to

exterminate the Apache.

Since we have declared peace, the impulsive actions
