My education in architecture provides me

For me, it's important that timeless elegance shines

through every element

of the inauguration's decor, style and design.

equality and everything good

about what America represented.

And so this moment signified

everything that my parents believed in America.

It's really the American dream.

This is my last flight as a private citizen...

After the inauguration,

everything becomes more structured,

more eyes, more pressure, fewer quiet moments.

I carry the idea of home within myself

as I often move from New York

to Palm Beach to Washington, D.C.

a place where I can exhale.

and took his first tennis lesson with me.

and move to Milan

and Paris for modeling was not simple.

called Aman Future for Orphans

and we sponsor scholarships,

training courses, career opportunities

just to make them feel like they're part of a family.

And, actually, just like that...

It is inspiring

to see that we are both passionate

about helping foster children get an education.

Only three percent of the children

from foster communities

go to universities.

We need to do better.

We need to educate our next generation,

our next leaders.

This inauguration marks a new era for our nation,

but the most important thing is that it is a new beginning

and the American spirit

is being refilled with hope and optimism.

from Afghanistan on August 26, 2021.

Arlington is not just a sacred burial ground

it's the soul of our nation.

American soldiers from every generation

and every walk of life, forever together.

Making our way towards

the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier,

I think about the families of Darin Hoover

and Nicole Gee of the Marine Corps,

and Ryan Knauss of the Army.

Their memories are being honored here today

at this tomb that holds no name,

but speaks for all who never came home.

We spent much of the day walking through the Capitol,

This year, instead of the traditional parade

through Washington, D.C.,

the public celebration was held

inside the Capital One Arena.

The extreme cold made it a practical decision.

But in truth, I was relieved.

Being in a more secure and closed space
