that these were circumstances beyond his

control.

As a matter of fact, I think of this man
as a hero.

He came to this country impoverished. He
became successful.

And he cared enough about the plight of
his people to actually try to do

something about it.

He shouldn't have been indicted.

And this trial should never have taken
place.

Ronald Chow a hero?

What I think is that he is a modern -day
slave trader, a shameless

exploiter of human beings, and
ultimately he is a murderer.

He smuggles thousands of undocumented
Chinese into our country every year.

The fact that he represents himself as a
savior of the oppressed only makes his

crimes all the more repulsive. A savior
would not demand a fee equaling a

lifetime of earnings in rural China for
the privilege of being rescued.

Ronald Chao knew full well what the
conditions were like on the Jade Moon.
