[Alex] Crazy.

Official YIFY movies site: YTS.MX

We're actually in Highgate Cemetery in London.

One of the most haunted cemeteries in the world.

We're just all lights out.

What's that?

We are paranormal thrill seekers.

We know we're not allowed to be here filming.

We pay for a tour.

I'm waiting for the perfect moment to sneak off,

so that we can start our own investigation.

[ominous music playing]

[Alex] Guys, we have found the Mausoleums.

I'm gonna walk pretty fast

and we're gonna do our little EVP session.

I've never seen something close, mate.

Can you state your name to us, please?

Hello?

Show yourself behind me.

I can't see you.

Let's see if he does it.

Touch the gate.

Show yourself behind me.

What the [bleep] mate!

-I'm not even joking, mate. -[Tony] What?

[Alex] You're not see that behind me?

[Tony] No.

[Alex breathes heavily]

-What's the matter? -[Alex] Mate,

I've got something behind me.

[Tony] Who is it?

[Alex] Seriously.

[bleep] hell man.

Show yourself behind me.

What the [bleep], mate?

I'm not even joking mate.

[Tony] What?

When the entity went past the back of me.

I could just hear it's humming in my ear

like someone's singing that's what I could hear.

Show yourself behind me.

At that time, I felt cold breeze

and as you can see on the camera of the footage,

like some ghost past the back of me,

all the hair stuck up in the back of my neck.

[ominous music playing]

[ominous music playing]

[David] We discovered a group of practicing Satanists

in Highgate Cemetery.

They were using the cemetery

to conduct their rituals at night.

Not just any kind of satanic rituals

but ones that would manifest an entity

which would stay in the physical realm.

There may be a vampire in Highgate Cemetery.

[Vanessa] Vampire hysteria gripped, not just London,

but the whole of the Southeast of England.

but the whole of the Southeast of England.

Suddenly, vampires were real.

[David] All hell literally broke loose

at Highgate Cemetery.

A coffin was often pulled over

and a big iron stake step through into the coffin.

Nobody killed a vampire

but the story of the Highgate Vampire

is very much alive.

[ominous music playing]

I am David Farrant, a psychic investigator.

I am David Farrant, a psychic investigator.

The ghost is still in and around

Highgate Cemetery even to this day.

[Alex] Show yourself behind me?

That's similar to what a lot of people have seen.

-[Alex] I'm not even joking, mate. -[Tony] What?

We need more answers to this.

[Alex] Well, what's this?

Wow.

I kind of feel that we're being watched, mate.

Are you the entity?

Are you the entity?

Is it a ghost, is it a vampire?

There is something there.

I think we should go.

I think we should go, yeah.

[ominous music playing]

[Vanessa] I grew up in North London

and I kind of feel

like I've always known about the Highgate Vampire.

It was just a bit of a local legend

especially when I became a teenager,

it was something that we all heard of.

When I started to do the research

here in the library

what fascinated me was that there was so many

other manifestations, stories, or ghosts,

or whatever you like to call them, entities,

that are said to have been around there.

It's not simply the fact

that it's a gothic Victorian cemetery.

There is something very different

about Highgate Cemetery.

Been in there a few times after dark

and on a number of occasions, I have been struck

with absolute stone cold terror.

[Sam] I was a volunteer tour guide

at Highgate Cemetery for about 12 years.

I did have a very, uh, unnerving experience

of my own up here just the once.

I was poking around just exploring,

just locate graves, etcetera, etcetera.

just locate graves, etcetera, etcetera.

And, um, yeah, it was... it was a summer's day.

It was very overcast.

And all of a sudden I felt as though

there was an enormous change and shift

in the atmospheric pressure.

It felt very oppressive.

While that was happening,

I noticed a very distinct silence.

I couldn't hear any more bird song.

I couldn't hear any cars

going up and down Swain's Lane.

All of a sudden, everything just went

absolutely deathly silent.

absolutely deathly silent.

And at that point, I got very, very distinct feeling

of being very unwelcome

at that part of the cemetery at that time.

[birds chirping]

[Sam] I ran like hell.

I didn't stop, or question it or see what caused it,

I just ran through, you know, shrubs and bushes

to get away from this part.

It thoroughly unnerved me.

[birds chirping]

[dramatic music playing]

[Vanessa] When I started to read about Highgate,

I discovered the letter to the local paper,

the Ham and High.

[dramatic music playing]

[Vanessa] It's from David Farrant, 24-years-old,

a local tobacconist, married,

and a father of two children.

Farrant actually says, "On three occasions

Farrant actually says, "On three occasions

I've seen what appeared to be a ghost-like figure

inside the gates of Highgate Cemetery."

It's a very innocent and humble letter.

It doesn't really give much of a hint

of the kind of crazy things that are going to follow.

This was actually going to change

David Farrant's life forever.

[dramatic music playing]

[dramatic music playing]

[Andrew] I first struck up a friendship with David

by researching what they call the Magnificent Seven,

these seven Victorian era cemeteries around London.

David was a spiritualist from a young age.

He had expertise in the occult.

And he was an investigator.

He wasn't just reading books.

He was out talking to people.

He was out doing night watches

and that really fueled his creation

and that really fueled his creation

of the British psychic and occult society.

But Highgate Cemetery itself

really drew his attention like a magnet.

[ominous music playing]

[Alex] Can you state your name for us, please?

Who are you?

-[Tony] What was that? -[Alex] It said something...

We didn't know until we've got home

that we captured a lot more than what we anticipated.

Talk to me.

We were doing a spirit box session

and, um, on that spirit box session,

we picked up a name.

-[David speaking] -[Alex] What?

[Tony] That's the name, David.

[Alex] David, you're here with us?

[David speaking]

-[Tony] Yeah. -[Alex] No. What?

[Tony] Hello, David.

[Tony] Hello, David.

It's not normal for a name to come through so clearly

on a spirit box as David's.

We then asked it to confirm it's David,

and he said, yes.

David, you're here with us?

[David speaking]

-[Tont] Yeah. -[Alex] No. What?

[Tony] Hello, David.

[Alex] It's when you check your videos and stuff

and then, um, it just comes together.

It's just not like a random name,

it's a name that means something,

and just the story doesn't end.

-[Tony] Yeah. -[Alex] No. What?

[Tony] Hello, David.

[Andrew] What if David,

whose life was 100% Highgate Cemetery,

whose life was 100% Highgate Cemetery,

what if he is now part of the story

but in a different realm?

[Alex] David?

Where'd you go?

It's just crazy to think like,

just thinking about it, it's just crazy.

You don't come across that sort of thing.

Touch the gate.

They're trying to warn us I think

of the entity who was behind me.

Show yourself behind me.

[ominous music playing]

[Alex] What the [bleep], mate?

-I'm not even joking mate. -[Tony] What?

-[Alex] You not just see that behind me? -[Tony] No.

We'd like to find out more about David

and what he was investigating at Highgate Cemetery.

[Jamie] Didn't know a lot about my dad growing up at all.

[ominous music playing]

[Jamie] All I knew about dad was that he had a new agency.

And then when I finally met him,

it was just a revelation.

It was just a hell of a surprise really.

It was just a hell of a surprise really.

When I was about 18-months-old,

my mom was pregnant with my brother.

And then my dad got interested

in all that Highgate stuff

and in my mom's words,

that's where the weirdness started.

One night, she just moved us all

back to where she was brought up.

I didn't see him for uh,...

it was about 40 years, something like that.

Oh, the Highgate Vampire had a massive impact on him.

In fact, I'd go so far as it took his life over,

In fact, I'd go so far as it took his life over,

which he had seen something in the cemetery,

frightened the hell out of him.

Now, I can't say what it was.

I don't know.

But the one thing I can say is that he genuinely believed

that he saw something there.

[ominous music playing]

[David] I went to Highgate Cemetery,

myself one evening, in late '69.

I was walking down Swain's Lane.

I intended to climb over the main gate

which was quite easy to do.

which was quite easy to do.

Something caught my eye

and I actually saw a tall figure.

It was about 7 or 8 feet tall.

It was almost as tall as the top of the gate.

It was definitely clad in a cloak with a hood

or something like that, I don't know.

[ominous music playing]

[David] His face was white or rather gray

as compared to the rest of its appearance.

And I definitely saw these eyes which were red.

I actually experienced the area, the temperature,

where I was standing was... around me,

dropped, distinctly dropped.

You know, I've seen something I'm not sure what it is.

I certainly...

I certainly realized it was not human.

[suspenseful music playing]

The next week, David Farrant was to open

the Ham and High and see that there were four responses

to his little letter.

All saying that they had seen something

that was very similar to what he described,

so they were really concurring.

[ominous music playing]

[birds chirping]

I think almost certainly

that's what I witnessed myself,

what other people have witnessed there at that time.

But I felt this thing very, very lethal.

I do know that as I passed the top gate,

I do know that as I passed the top gate,

you could tell this entity was draining your energy.

[breathes deeply]

David went into the cemetery looking for evidence

and he recounts being shocked when he finds

that there's signs of satanic rituals going on

that if they were successful, would manifest an entity

which would stay in the physical realm.

[suspenseful music playing]

[David] One particular place that we discovered

was the Cory-Wright Mausoleum.

It was a small chapel broken open.

We were under no doubts that that particular vault

is being used regularly for black magic purposes.

They released something by their satanic rites.

Energy which was previously dormant,

they made come alive by their activities.

they made come alive by their activities.

[ominous music playing]

[Alex] The reason I come into paranormal investigation

is from a young age, I come across

a dark entity myself when I was a kid,

and since then I wanted answers.

When we start a new investigation,

we will need to bring Claire because she has insights

to the other side with her special abilities.

[Claire] I was roughly about 8, 9-years-old.

I knew I had some sort of gift,

I could see things like no one else could see.

I believe Tony and Alex brought me in on this

because of my psychic ability,

perhaps maybe get more of a connection with David.

So this is a Mel Meter-- spirit comes in the facility,

So this is a Mel Meter-- spirit comes in the facility,

that trigger pick up and trigger it, you know, so.

Similar thing it's called REM POD...

[machine beeping]

...and it's also got temperature control.

[Alex] I always feel shocked but at the same time proud

that we're taking over

another person's investigation

that he's been doing for the last 50 years.

[David] It's a small chapel.

And we discovered on the marble floor

there was an inverted pentagram which, of course,

is a five-point star but most importantly

is a five-point star but most importantly

had the apex pointing downwards,

which is used in black magic.

When under no doubts that that particular vault

is being used regularly...

-The vault, that's the one, behind us. -It is.

-[Alex] The vault. -It was. Wasn't it?

[Alex] Yeah, that's where we was.

If we were... It stood behind, it stood behind me.

That's what... That's that crypt.

The puzzle is starting to come together.

It could be something that's been conjured,

something they brought forth, they haven't sent it back.

I feel like he's trying to signal,

like give us signs, like, that he wants us to go back

like give us signs, like, that he wants us to go back

and finish off what he couldn't do hisself physically

-because... -[Tony] Maybe he didn't know

-how to... -Yeah.

...get rid of it.

-[ominous music playing] -[clock ticks]

On Friday, February the 27th, 1970

there was a massive plot twist.

Suddenly, we have a new paranormal investigator

Sean Manchester

who's also seen the evidence of satanic strangeness

who has concluded that it's a vampire in there.

Our first reports indicated

that there may be a vampire in Highgate Cemetery.

A specter was seen at that gate there

appearing to come from here which leads to the catacombs.

appearing to come from here which leads to the catacombs.

[man] Was seen by who?

Passersby, residents, people whom we interviewed.

Not only a vampire but in fact he says

it is a king vampire of the undead.

[Andrew] He provides real evidence.

Eyewitnesses, he names them, Barbara and Elizabeth,

two young girls who were harassed by this figure.

two young girls who were harassed by this figure.

As far as we know it has only physically attacked,

one male person who has passed by the gate.

But there are others who imply attest

to have been visited by it in their beds at night.

According to Manchester's account,

she describes this beast, if you will,

that's coming to her room as having the face

of a wild animal with glaring eyes and sharp teeth.

But it is a man

with the expression of an animal.

with the expression of an animal.

The face is gaunt and gray.

She woke in the morning to discover

two red marks on her neck

after experiencing not a nightmare,

but an evil experience,

which only she could describe herself,

where she felt she had been visited

by something exceedingly wicked.

[suspenseful music playing]

[Vanessa] That is like a bomb

has just exploded in this story.

has just exploded in this story.

Vampire hysteria gripped not just London

but the whole of the Southeast of England.

Suddenly, vampires were real.

And it wasn't just that people were sitting back

and reading about it in the newspapers.

They wanted to physically be a part of the story

and join in the legend.

Satan, get you behind me

and be gone from this place forever.

[Vanessa] Sean Manchester, really completely stolen

[Vanessa] Sean Manchester, really completely stolen

David Farrant's thunder.

The television people got hold of the story

and they wanted to run it

at their primetime, tea time slot.

[clock chimes]

[Andrew] Imagine the scene it's Friday the 13th.

It takes place in Highgate Cemetery.

Now the footage has long been lost

but what happens next is unbelievable.

Mr. Manchester, it was said on the TV program

that I intended to go back to the cemetery that night.

And I was going to take the king vampire,

all hell literally broke loose

at Highgate Cemetery.

People literally swooping down there in droves.

They had their crucifixes, their knives,

their beer bottles, and they were swarming

their beer bottles, and they were swarming

over the gates of Highgate Cemetery

in a completely uncontrolled way

to just run riot in the cemetery at midnight.

[suspenseful music playing]

[blaring siren]

[man] The cemetery itself

was surrounded by police cars.

[David] It's carnage.

The cemetery was desecrated.

Corpses being staked with metal bars,

because of this ridiculous vampire story.

One on the left hand side here, the doors were broken open.

One on the left hand side here, the doors were broken open.

The coffin was half pulled over

and a big iron stake was stuck through into the coffin.

Manchester is at the heart of it,

the next morning, well, nobody killed a vampire

but the story of the Highgate Vampire is very much alive.

[suspenseful music playing]

[Alex] And that's where it begins.

[Claire] The moment I got there,

my stomach flopped.

It's like going over a hill really quick.

[suspenseful music playing]

[Claire] There's definitely something in the center.

[Claire] There's definitely something in the center.

It just... If you...

Is that...?

[Claire] More sort of right.

Go back a bit, go back, go back, stop.

[Alex] The gravestone on the tree, yeah?

[Claire] Yeah, yeah, yeah, do you see it?

Definitely something standing right there.

[Alex] That's where the tombs begin, that's the entrance.

-[Claire] Is that the entrance? -[Alex] At the top. Yeah.

[Claire] Yeah.

Well, I don't sense David here.

Well, I don't sense David here.

And I don't sense the entity here.

[Alex] Okay.

[Claire] I mean, there's a lot of activity going on,

but it's not what we're after if that makes sense.

I think we're gonna need to retrace David's steps.

[Alex] So we can pick up and only think...

[Claire] Yeah.

[dramatic music playing]

It's not just at Highgate Cemetery

this tall dark figure has been reported.

It's been reported in the Old Gatehouse Pub,

It's been reported in the Old Gatehouse Pub,

bottles flying off the shelves.

In fact I believe in the Gatehouse,

where this tall dark figure had been sighted,

at that time, the late '60s, it became so bad

that the bar staff, barmaids, refused to go down

into the... into the downstairs area

where this figure started to be seen again.

-Wow. -That's crazy, isn't it?

-Start on this location then. -Yeah, the pub.

[Claire] I think we have a look around,

see what we pick up?

[Alex] Yeah, it's best that we do that.

All right, down to the basement, guys.

If there's someone here, can you give me a sign?

Whoa, the cameras have gone [bleep]ing blurry man.

What the [bleep]?

So you can just see the camera's gone completely blurry.

So you can just see the camera's gone completely blurry.

Man.

Come on upstairs.

Who's there?

What the [bleep] is that, man?

Well, the entities... it's quite frightening,

but that's what we do.

That's what we enjoy to do.

That's what we enjoy to do.

You just got to be brave.

If you show weakness, it will pick you,

and obviously try to attach to you.

Guys...

There's another location of David's...

investigated, spent a lot of his time in.

You can see the camera keeps going blurry, out of focus.

So for me, that's a sign that there's something here.

So for me, that's a sign that there's something here.

I don't know what, but it's eerie as [bleep].

Down here I feel like I'm being watched like,

I don't know, like coming down the stairs,

and the camera losing focus like that.

Who's here with me?

My name is Alex,

what's your name?

I'm getting goosebumps.

[bleep].

Man.

It just felt like there was something standing there,

It just felt like there was something standing there,

at the bottom of the stairs,

definitely some sort of entity there.

Guys...

The REM POD's going off, the REM POD's going off.

Wow.

And for everything to start triggering off,

all these, the REM PODs.

The EMF reader...

The REM POD is going off over there as well.

That's the other REM POD going off.

Talk to this device in my hands.

[bell ringing]

Whoa, whoa, whoa, what's that?

-Man, I felt something touch my head.

-Man, I felt something touch my head.

-That's the temperature, isn't it?

-That's the temperature.

-Whoa... I felt something touch my head.

My hair went like that.

I felt it.

Yeah.

There's no wind or air conditioning blowing this way.

It's really, really cold here.

Can you feel how cold it is in this area?

-Yeah. It's cold. -[bleep]ing crazy.

It's quite intense, definitely.

It's definitely something that I...

where we sat, mainly where the REM POD was,

and I did start to feel

and I did start to feel

some sort of like, an entity being there,

a really strong, evil presence.

And I was worried he was gonna overtake me.

David said that it moved

from location to location at certain points.

I can definitely confirm that whatever is in

Highgate Cemetery is definitely traveling to

the Highgate pub as well.

I think we need to review more evidence on it,

listening to David a bit more.

What other locations,

I guess, that he picked up.

I guess, that he picked up.

The story is now developing really quickly.

David recounted to me that in the summer of 1970,

he went back to Highgate Cemetery with the intention

of banishing the entity.

[David] We decided

to try and make communication with this entity,

or whatever it was.

At that period,

I was experimenting with the...

I was experimenting with the...

forbidden rituals,

some of which involved sex.

I felt it was a key to reaching other levels

of consciousness.

It's a very dangerous thing to do because

it's said that anyone that

attempts this can actually be taken over, become possessed,

or rendered insane.

I don't regret it because

I don't regret it because

no one was ever harmed, no one was ever injured,

or hurt.

But it did give me quite a bad reputation.

[Dave] I knew about the Highgate Vampire

from my teenage years.

From the long period I knew David,

he never believed it was a blood sucking vampire.

he never believed it was a blood sucking vampire.

But, yeah, I did think to myself at the time

that there was a lot more to David Farrant

than what he's actually letting on.

We're heading up to 1 Avenue Road.

We always used to refer to it as the Haunted House.

[dramatic music playing]

[Dave] As a kid, we used to play around here.

[Dave] As a kid, we used to play around here.

And we always used to dare each other

to come over here to this house.

Sometimes there was, like, strange sounds, chanting,

and all that sort of thing going on.

After I met David,

the more I learned, obviously much later,

is that David used to conduct

some of these magical rituals here.

And this must have been happening

And this must have been happening

in and around the time

that I was playing here as a kid.

As to really why he was doing it,

I really don't know, and I did ask him a few times,

but I don't think he really wanted to talk to me

about something that I would have

very limited understanding of.

[Vanessa] From that time on, David Farrant

was in the newspapers all the time.

Unfortunately, it was for all the wrong reasons.

Unfortunately, it was for all the wrong reasons.

[suspenseful music playing]

He's also starting to get arrested.

He's arrested three times

in a span of approximately a year.

[Dave] The worst thing that happened

was there was a body

that had been dragged from its coffin.

And it was placed into a brand new Mini Cooper

that was parked over there.

In the morning, the body was placed

on the road just there.

It was a very gruesome sight.

But the local papers have picked it up

and it soon went national news.

Now, because David Farrant

had been already been arrested

three times previous to this,

he was the most likely suspect.

Three weeks later, they raid his home

and arrest him yet again.

David is given a four and a half year sentence.

David is given a four and a half year sentence.

I certainly think in retrospect,

in fact, even then

that I was made a scapegoat

for not only with the vandalism at Highgate Cemetery,

but for the whole...

...what I believed in.

You would think with Farrant in prison,

the story would just die down,

but it revs up and goes absolutely ballistic.

but it revs up and goes absolutely ballistic.

[suspenseful music playing]

In 1974, while Farrant is in prison,

Manchester tracks it down into this

neo-gothic mansion,

find the vampire in the basement,

they find the casket.

And finally, dramatically,

Manchester takes that stake

and rams it through his heart.

If that's not enough, he goes out to the car

and get some petrol comes back

and sets the body alight.

And now it's time for our next guest

is a man who's devoted his life to fighting evil,

Satanism, materialism and of course vampires.

And even claims in the early '70s

who have tracked down vampire

and driven a stake through its evil heart.

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, Sean Manchester.

[cheers and applause]

[David] Again this actually happened.

If we were to take Mr. Manchester's word for it,

it's not genuine.

No, because I don't accept the existence of vampires.

It was not a blood sucking vampire.

It was not a blood sucking vampire.

The one that I used on the Highgate Vampire

was closer to the Van Helsing, as we call it,

because this is the approved.

-Look at the size of that one. -The... Yes, it's a whopper.

Well, then how do you carry this around with you?

I concluded that the ghost

is still in and around Highgate Cemetery,

even to this day.

[Andrew] The feud between these two really never ends.

Manchester finally publishes his opus,

the Highgate Vampire in the late '80s.

the Highgate Vampire in the late '80s.

And then in the early 90s,

Farrant one ups him again

by publishing Beyond the Highgate Vampire,

and then they go on a series of television and radio shows.

[woman] You don't believe in vampires do you?

Not bloodsucking vampires absolutely not.

I believe that sometimes there can be...

ghosts if I must use that word

which can remain earthbound

which are extremely potent forms of psychic energy.

That sort of thing goes on throughout the decade

That sort of thing goes on throughout the decade

until, sort of, you know, the year 2000-ish

when the whole story takes on

a new level of insanity

thanks to the internet.

[suspenseful music playing]

[Erin] The Highgate case is kind of like

it's a fantastical story.

That includes a lot of things.

The fact that you have a vampire

that was in the cemetery and it attacked people.

that was in the cemetery and it attacked people.

That's what kind of got me into it.

When I was growing up, my favorite show was Scooby-Doo.

I love, you know, the mystery. You wanted

to find out what happened, who was behind it.

If it did great because, you know, everyone wants

to prove there's a vampire.

But if it didn't happen then I'll know the truth.

So, I traveled from Canada

and I went to go to the Highgate Cemetery,

I was able to visit four locations

that Sean Manchester discusses in his book.

[suspenseful music playing]

[suspenseful music playing]

[Erin] After going through all the locations,

the geography was wrong on all of them.

Nothing just was proper,

it didn't match certain things that happened here,

but it was actually over here,

which kind of blows my mind.

When I published this first article,

Sean Manchester did not take it very well at all.

[dramatic music playing]

[Erin] If you Googled him online,

[Erin] If you Googled him online,

you could see countless websites, blog postings,

and it was just comments from him.

Every time somebody brings up the case

or someone talks about the case,

he just tries to shut everything down,

was a liar or was wrong.

One thing I've had happen since I wrote the articles

is he's actually gone through my Facebook friends lists.

And he actually takes people I know

and private messages them and says,

and private messages them and says,

"I'm a liar. I'm a bad person."

His best one for me that I get

is he posts fat pictures and says they're me.

That's the best one that I get.

[dramatic music playing]

[Patsy] I've spent nearly 20 years on this case.

It's one of the greatest mysteries

I've ever come across.

When I start investigating this phenomenon,

When I start investigating this phenomenon,

I asked Mr. Manchester through his website,

to allow me to see the evidence

because he had passed his book off as fact.

And I wanted to know where he got his facts.

I had the most vilest abuse.

It got very nasty.

I received lots of emails every single day.

I received lots of emails every single day.

"If you carry on with this pursuit of this investigation,

"you will regret it.

"You will be sued for libel"

and that, "Your name will be discredited."

He did not want anyone investigating that.

That was his vampire.

That was his story.

And if they did start digging in, delving in,

it would be the worst for them.

it would be the worst for them.

Well, it wasn't.

[laughs]

[suspenseful music playing]

[Patsy] I looked at all the evidence.

I went and looked at David's notes.

And this entity still being seen

through these gates at this point.

[David] So, I went back to the cemetery

[David] So, I went back to the cemetery

for the first time since 1973.

Only last year,

this would have been in April 2005.

Exactly the same thing happened again.

Again, I think I it was reported

being seen by quite a few people.

[suspenseful music playing]

We discovered that the places where this tall, dark figure

had been sighted,

such as the old Roman settlement

in Highgate Woods,

such as the Gatehouse Pub and the Flask Pub,

were all connected by a ley line

which runs straight through the heart

of Highgate Cemetery.

It's very possible that the figure

seen in all these location

is not a different separate entity.

It is the same figure

It is the same figure

traveling along the course of the ley line.

-[woman] Hail Hegarty! -[crowd] Hail Hegarty!

It's quite possible that the group of Satanists

practicing at Highgate Cemetery

were aware of the existence of this ley line indeed

in Highgate Woods.

To the fire, I cast the spell.

[Carrie] Highgate Woods, it's a big natural part

[Carrie] Highgate Woods, it's a big natural part

of the original Middlesex Forest.

If you go out and work in ancient Woodlands,

you're going back almost traveling through time.

You're going back to a place

where the ley lines have not been disrupted

by building on top of them,

you're going back to a place

where people have worked their magic

for many, many years beforehand,

some of them leaving an imprint there perhaps.

I think it's completely plausible

that somebody could have been experimenting

that somebody could have been experimenting

with dark magic and have brought through

a demonic entity.

Hegarty we call up on you.

By picking a cemetery that they can first of all

have access to

and if it happens to have ley lines crossing there

then that could give it more power.

So, if they have brought something through,

as David believed,

the indications are

that they weren't able to banish it again afterwards.

[chanting]

[suspenseful music playing]

[suspenseful music playing]

So guys, we made it to Highgate Woods.

We would then go to the Witch's Coven.

-Are you guys ready for this? -Yeah.

Get up. Let's go, I'm ready for this.

Ready to go, yeah?

[suspenseful music playing]

Who's out there?

[Alex] So we know we shouldn't be there

if we're not witches, warlocks.

We're forbidden to be there.

Behind us, behind you, behind you, behind you,

-do you not hear that? -[Tony] Yes.

[Claire] Oh, [bleep].

[Tony] Hello, who is it?

[Alex] Do you not hear this point then?

[Claire] Yeah.

I just wanna [bleep]ing move here.

[Tony] All my hairs on my legs have just gone ping.

[indistinct] this is [bleep]ing [bleep]ed up.

-[Tony] Come on. -[Alex] It's gonna be okay. Come on, we can do it.

We've got the strength.

Not come across that before.

I never felt so weak

and felt so vulnerable at that...at that time.

You can hear it all around you can't you?

Twigs snapping and stuff.

Twigs snapping and stuff.

I feel weak at the minute.

[Alex] Yeah, same. Do you think he's taken all our...

all our energy, he's draining us?

He is draining us.

Whatever it was, it was draining me.

It just felt like what David has said in,

you know, in his videos.

I definitely agree with him.

[dramatic music playing]

This is the last entry for David Farrant

in the Ham and High

in the Ham and High

and it's his obituary, he died age 73.

I think that although this is his obituary

and this is the last thing

that we're gonna read about him doing.

It seems like he's always going to...

some parts of him is always going to live on

as part of this story.

I would say in some respects with the "Vampire"

and I use that word in quotes,

and I use that word in quotes,

at Highgate Cemetery...

well, I suppose, really, ultimately

or I suppose really I was it...

I was its ultimate victim.

-[Tony] [bleep] -[Alex] What?

[Tony] That said David, David.

David, are you here with us?

[Andrew] If this video is really showing David Farrant

in Highgate Cemetery,

what this is really telling us

is that even after death,

you're still trapped by the story

you're still trapped by the story

that engulfed you in your life.

What if that's the curse of the Highgate Vampire?

Even in death, you can't escape it.

[Alex] Is there someone here that'll talk to me?

Can you talk to us please.
