- [Photographer] Actually, we'll just
start by standing.
And I'm taking pictures of that.
In this industry,
there's a lot of fear of growing older,
and now you're celebrating 20 years of doing this,
and, so you come from a place of
having this body work for you, and then
you can kind of share this with an audience,
but now, being older,
to me, it feels like there's no room for older people.
- [Peaches] I think that is, yeah.
I think it's getting better.
With the representation of people actually doing it.
- [Photographer] How do you feel as a person?
Because you said you wanted to make aging cool--
- Yeah. - Again?
How do you, can you tell me something more about that?
- [Peaches] Just by example, just by doing it, you know?
Yeah, and not by, like preaching, but by example.
People take away what they want from that.
And it's cute 'cause my body is different from 20 years ago.
I look a picture of me and I'm like, oh, I looked good,
whatever, traditionally good or whatever.
I didn't think about,
'cause I was just like, working, working,
working, working, whatever.
And now I'm like,
I've got a little bit of belly, whatever.
I just let it hang out.
And so many people during this tour, would be like,
I watched the show and I feel so much better about my body,
and I'm like, what does that mean?
It sounds funny, but I know what they mean.
They mean, I feel better letting it all hang out.
- [Photographer] Yeah. We need this example, right?
- [Peaches] Yeah.
- [Photographer] It's not happening at the moment,
there's so much fear of growing old.
I love this paleness, with the hair and the make-up,
it looks really nice.
- [Peaches] I think also there is a misconception
about my music, and how people hear it,
that I'm gonna be overtly sexual or, you know, like
I've had people, they come backstage,
they see me and go like,
Peaches, I'm way dirtier than you,
and they pull their shirt off and go like,
"Suck my titties" stuff like that, and I'm like,
okay, have a nice day.
You want some cheese plate?
Yeah.
Yeah, you know, so,
this is the work, what I'm presenting,
they are the questions I am asking myself,
but it's also, sometimes a misconception and I'm like
you know. - Yeah.
- [Peaches] Not a three-dimensional person.
(camera clicking)
- [Photographer] Can you talk to me about
your personal relationship with your body
and even when growing up, has this changed?
- [Peaches] Um, I,
I think my boyfriend is calling me.
That's what that is.
- [Photographer] You need to?

- [Peaches] Well, it's the first
full dramatic piece of music
that was actually called opera.

a point that's really interesting in general,
to find the beginning of opera
telling the story through music and the power of music,
and that story is actually about the power of music.

you can feel where
the power of all that guts can come in.
