with adults at the age of eight.

My dad's basic tenant was, your mother is in charge

of keeping you alive, but I'm in charge of teaching you

how to be a man and conquer the world.

So we have different roles.

If I fucked up, he hit me.

He never beat me, he never abused me.

But there was certainly a realm in which I,

if I fucked up, I'd get slapped.

Only happened twice maybe, ever.

[gentle music]

I was raised in a way in which I really viewed my father

as a superhero.

But that was also based on the fact that he did not

submit to the will of my mother, right?

If you have a man who's scared of his wife,

can he truly be a superhero?

[eerie music]

I never saw my mom tell my dad to clean the dishes.

I never saw him take shit from my mom ever.

If she stepped to him even 1%, he was like,

"Bitch see you next month I'm out."

She was crying her eyes out

and he'd just fucking vanish on her

'cause that's who he was.

So I grew up understanding a man doesn't compromise.

[eerie music continues]

My father got diagnosed

with narcissistic personality disorder

and I do believe he had it but,

and people say I have it, but I don't.

When you have true narcissistic personality disorder,

you truly believe you're almost invincible.

He was constantly traveling the world, drinking,

playing chess, fucking girls doing whatever he wanted to do.

And one day my mom had enough of it.

At the age of 11, my mother and father split up.

My mom took me back to Luton, great place.

[tense music]

In an area called Marsh Farm,

which is the worst area, the worst town.

So it was like as bad as you can get.

I mean obviously I was very, very young.

I don't think I was necessarily too upset by it.

My father was very realistic with me

and he said, look, "I'm still gonna see you

but you're gonna be in England.

It is what it is."

But it did alter my life trajectory

because I lost my chess coach.

We had no money.

Mother was on the dole.

She ended up getting jobs at dinner lady one time.

That was it. We were raised on $300 a month.

I grew up around a bunch of other poor kids

and we'd be walking to school or walking to college

and a Ferrari would drive past

and they'd go, oh cool Ferrari.

And I'd say, "Doesn't that annoy you?"

And they're like, "What do you mean?"

And I'd be like, "How does he have 400 grand for a car?

Aren't you annoyed that there's people out there

living a lifestyle that we can't ever aspire to?"

I was bored, I had no money.

I'm a smart guy I'm not playing chess anymore, right?

What do you do with your life? What's there to do?

- [VO] 21-year-old Anglo-American Andrew Tate

is a straight-talking entrepreneur

with his own advertising company in Luton.

- I'm very mentally strong and I want to achieve something.

I will achieve it 'cause I've never been in a situation

in my life so far in my 21 years

where I really wanted something and didn't get it.

[brooding music]

- The concept of the show was for you

to go trekking around Southeast Asia

and you have to try and convince the other travelers

that you are the best traveler of that week.

- I remember seeing this guy from a mile off

that he was pretty muscly

and he had this like kind of wife beater tank top on.

Hiya. - Andrew.

- He was a bit closed off, sort of thing,

a bit guarded, sort of thing,

which is fair enough.

He was pleasant, I got along with him.

- There was just something that just felt like he was

just a bit on the edge of the group

and didn't interact with people in the same way

that I felt like we all to some degree interacted

with each other.

It kind of felt like he was like holding back

and almost like observing us first of all,

I remember feeling like he was quite serious.

[brooding music continues]

- I think that Andrew, his arrogance...

- He's openly arrogant though, he admits he's a dick.

- To my face he was always nice, always pleasant.

He was my mate on the show.

- [Andrew] The main reason I'm voting for Chloe

is because I don't think anyone else will.

So really, I'm just trying to manipulate her,

put her on the side, make her a usable weapon

at some point.

- Andrew used to say stuff at night on his own in the camera

explaining his game plan, how he's going to try

and make lies and turn this person against that person.

- But I am playing the game.

I'm not interested in the money at the end.

I'm interested in winning.

I wanna win just so I can go home and say, "Yeah, I won.

I manipulated them all."

- He was saying he would lie and cheat his way

to win the 10 grand.

I'm not really too annoyed about that.

That's fair enough,

that’s um... he had his game plan.

Obviously Andrew wanted to be famous.

I think he just wanted to get his face shown, I guess.

At the start of it all, I think.

[tense music]

- I wanted an exceptional life.

I didn't want a normal car,

a normal house, a normal girlfriend.

I didn't want none of that.

I was annoyed, I was just angry.

So for me, fighting was just an outlet.

[tense music]

If I had my way and I could build myself

as an individual, I would've never chosen to be a fighter.

I think fighting's one of those things that you're

either cursed with or you're not.

Unfortunately I was born with a mind that is hard to occupy

and I find everything boring.

[blows thudding]

I find the cinema boring.

I find clubbing boring, conversations,

family dinners, festivals, holidays,

all the crap that everyone enjoys bores the life out.

- [coach] What's he got on you?

Nothing, nothing.

- The only thing that keeps me mildly entertained

is something which is so dangerous that I'm scared.

[tense music]

- It's a really difficult world

in the beginning the first 10, 15 fights,

you really get nothing.

You're called an amateur.

You fight for free.

The fighting industry is a way to get known

and to be somebody and to make that first step.

It's like people who have a difficult life,

the ring can be escape to a better life in the future.

[tense music]

Either do you do it because you like it,

or you want to become famous.

And I think in Andrew's case, he wants to become famous.

- I hate training, I hate fighting.

This is fucking war.

I was born for this, I have no choice.

And I’m gonna kill.

That’s it. Pain, that’s all I know.

- Back then you could already see that he knew

how to handle the camera.

- Anytime, any place, any country.

I am the ISKA kickboxing world champion.

- First video Tate did for me, I sent him a pair of gloves.

- You need to go buy a pair

and you can message me and say, "Andrew you saved my life.

Thank you for telling me what to do.

I can't live without your guidance.

I'm so glad I have you to live up to

because there are actually a great set of gloves."

- He did add this sort of like humor to the videos

but I think people get the hump quite easy

and they just sort of found him ...well he's quite arrogant.

- Because I'm one of the best kickboxers in the world.

Arguably the best.

Especially in my own mind.

I would personally say that I'm the best kickboxer ever.

While you're best in the world at nothing,

you're not even the best in your town at anything.

I'm the best in the world, twice.

- I quite liked his marketing skills.

A lot of people said, this doesn't look good.

But, well I saw the sort of bigger picture really.

- Sidekick also sends me lots of fucking money.

- I had to sort of stop and think, as I'm growing a brand,

do I really, you know,

I've got to gauge whether it- was the right thing to do?

But yeah, I sort of always went with it.

One of the videos, I think he was drinking

rum and beer with his brother,

you know, and it’s sort of, pfff...

I'd get messages saying, that looks so unprofessional.

- I've got my beer to wash it down.

[dark orchestral music]

Why the fuck do you buy rum, it's rank.

So Sidekick boxing gloves are the best.

- But then I'd get another message saying,

that's marketing gold.

It gave so much controversy

that I just thought, "This is good."

- This is a magazine with me on the front being amazing

because I'm the best kickboxer in the world.

Four.

- [Daniel] I think he just wanted to be famous

and I think he just wanted to be rich.

- Six, seven, eight, nine.

- But I don't think he probably realized to what extent

of how famous he would go and then the complications

that that would bring.

[gentle music]

- I met him in Luton, I was just out with a friend.

I got chatting to Andrew.

One thing I remember him really speaking about was his dad.

Just talked about how his dad was really intelligent

and like, was like a chess champion

And how intelligent he thought he was.

Just seemed like a normal arrogant young guy I guess. [chuckles]

He was charming and I was young.

We get a taxi back to his

and that was the first time we slept together.

I stayed over the night and then he called me a taxi

in the morning.

And then, I saw him again a few months later.

[tense music]

He was working as a doorman in a nightclub.

He just said, after his shift he would come over to mine

then we could see each other again.

He came over, and that was when the incident happened.

We were having sex

and he put his hands around my throat

and started strangling me,

kind of like crushing my windpipe

until I lost consciousness.

And then when I came back around again,

it was just really like, just confusion

[tense music continues]

He was still having sex with me.

I don't know how long I was kind of knocked out for,

but yeah, I completely lost consciousness

which I assume he knew because I probably

would have been like limp and stuff.

I just forgot where I was, and who he was,

and what was going on.

I just laid there completely still

because I was quite scared that he was going to do it again

and, yeah, maybe I wouldn't wake up

the second time he did it.

There's this like manic look in his eyes.

Like dark and angry.

He said that he was going to kill me,

tell me that he owned me,

and he’d like pin me up against the wall.

And then he left and that was the last time I saw him.

[tense music fades]

It was maybe more on the Monday that the kind

of injuries appeared.

All of the whites of my eyes went completely red.

That kind of scared me.

That made me think, oh maybe what happened was quite bad.

It was consensual sex up until that point so,

erm...

I mean I now know that it's not a gray area.

But at the time to me it kind of was

because I was so young.

[dogs barking]

- I was 28 when I won my fourth world title.

And then I looked at my bank, I had three grand,

four grand in there, and I'm like,

I'm giving up my entire life,

and I don't even know how I'm gonna live.

I said to Tristan, "We need to discuss money, we need

to work out a way we can get rich."

So I sit there and think, "How can I make money?

What do I have that's worth money?

Like what do I have that I can even sell?"

I had a car but what's that worth, nothing.

I'm big and strong but I'm already fighting.

I can't think of anything else to do with that.

The only thing I had was,

because I'd been fighting all around the world,

I had these six girlfriends.

What do I own, what do I possess?

I was like well I've got these 7 hot chicks.

Because you'd win the world title, you fuck a ring girl.

She falls in love with you.

You're the big millionaire in London.

Of course she thinks you're living the balling life.

You're in some tiny, tiny apartment with a door lock.

And I'm kind of racking my brain.

And by absolute coincidence, I'm going around the internet

and I saw in the corner, “Talk to live girls now.”

So I clicked on it and there's some chick there

on a computer, “Hi”.

And I was like, “My girls can do that.”

So that, that was the very beginning.

That was the eureka moment.

And I walked into my my brother's bedroom and I said,

"We're gonna start a webcam company."

That was the beginning of it all.

- I messaged my six girlfriends

and told them they're all coming to live with me.

Two of them agreed to stay.

And the beginning of my cam empire

was this tiny little apartment, me and my two girlfriends.

So I'm like, "Woah okay, I'll speak to this person."

I got a message on Facebook from Andrew Tate.

He sent me a video of a blonde girl.

- [Andrew] Fully dressed, on camera.

- One hour.

- [Andrew] An hour with one guy making a ton of money,

three pound a minute.

Just typing to some guy,

this is the easiest money in the world.

If you're a female and you're not doing this,

you need to check yourself.

- He said, "The first two weeks are gonna be training.

After that you work alone and the more men you have,

the more money you make, as simple as that."

- [Andrew] It's basically just milking as much money

as possible from these men,

one girl got a thousand pounds on Christmas Day.

- He said there's three different ways to work,

"Just chat fully clothed, be friendly,

expect to make 100 quid a shift.

Get around 200 a shift.

You would work from my studio which is one of the rooms

in my apartment, and we have a roof terrace too.

Kind of felt grimy, there was two mattresses on the floor.

Just very dingy.

But he kept saying don't worry,

we're not gonna be here long.

The new apartment is gonna be ready soon,

and then we're all gonna move there.

[gentle music continues]

We did training for like a few days.

He was sat at the computer, I was laying on the bed

with the pretend keyboard.

He was training me to basically

scam men as much as I can,

as much as possible, out of money.

Every shift he would give us alcohol.

So the first night, you know, two bottles of rosé.

And then he would be like,

"Yeah, so it'll loosen you up a bit"

You'll feel more comfortable.

The first evening was a good experience.

I had fun.

I didn't do anything that I wasn't comfortable with doing.

[traffic rumbling] [soft tense music]

The next time I see him again was at the Hilton hotel.

The plan was to stay there for a few days and work.

All the girls that were there were drinking.

Near the end of the shift, at that point,

I don't know how much I'd drunk but it was a lot,

to the point that I was like crying,

throwing up a little bit as well.

I was a bit upset.

Me and my boyfriend had argued.

Andrew, he was really nice.

I remember vividly, he sat down next to me on the floor.

He put his arm around me and he said like, "Don't worry,

I'm gonna take care of you.

I'm gonna be like your big brother.

You don't have to worry about things."

and to me, that was really nice 'cause I've always

wanted a big brother.

I'm just like drunk tired, I need to go to bed.

He says to me and the other girl,

one of you fucking bitches

need to sleep in the bed with me.

The other girl, she said, "Nope, I'm not going to."

And then she got straight into the other bed.

At that point, I really trusted him.

I got into bed, and tried to go to sleep,

erm...

and then I remember that's when...

so that's when he first sexually assaulted me.

It was that night in the hotel room.

I was so drunk at that point, I just remember

I remember him like,

having sex with me,

but I was going in and out of consciousness.

And then it was done.

He stopped.

And then, I just KO-ed.

When I woke up, I immediately knew

that he had done something really bad to me.

and he was telling me, like, "You need to get out of bed,

He tried coming over to me and I was like saying, "Go away,

fuck off, leave me alone."

And then he grabbed me by my neck.

He was strangling me like so hard I couldn't breathe.

And he forced himself on me again.

For the second time.

I was frozen, there was really nothing else I could do.

His hands were so tight around my neck.

[inhales deeply]

I think that was probably more scary because I wasn't drunk

and I was fully conscious of what was going on.

I did think like he was gonna kill me.

He was strangling me to the point I couldn't breathe.

The only reason that he got off me was

because the other girl, she walked in the room.

She saw what happened to me.

- Choke her so she can barely fucking breathe,

tell her she's yours forever.

They're gonna believe it, you can program them,

they are programmable beings,

But I don't see what the delusion is.

I can do whatever I want to do.

And this is what made me gravitate towards him.

I first became aware of Andrew as a fighter.

Sometime in the summer of 2015,

I was really interested in doing a deep dive

into who Andrew Tate was.

I knew I wanted to do a documentary.

I gave him a pitch.

And he was like, "Okay that's cool."

- So basically what we do I mean, I don't want to give away

the absolute secret of what we do, but um beauty

is worth money it doesn't matter if it's a beautiful car,

doesn't matter if it's beautiful clothes,

all these things are expensive

and a beautiful woman is worth some money.

We help beautiful women make money.

It's one way of putting it.

So, the idea is that we go to East Europe,

we get an apartment, we open up an office.

[suspenseful music continues]

We have some good friends there.

And then we just have to find beautiful girls,

but that shouldn't be too difficult to do.

- Life wasn't easy for Andrew and his brother.

Andrew is quite open about that.

But things are changing now, and that was kind of part

of the narrative of the documentary.

He's now gone from struggling in Luton

to traveling the world, expanding their webcam business

into Europe.

- I worked out a geographical formula

to finding hot chicks.

You have to go where there's no tourists

so we started looking for the second biggest cities

in countries.

And, we found this town in Slovakia called Koice,

it's the second biggest city, and it's five hours drive

from any major city.

lived in this town.

of staying in a city like this?

- Firstly, it's beautiful.

My father died on October 17th, 2015.

He died playing chess, at a chess tournament,

which is the best possible death I could've wished for him.

He died in battle as he should.

He was a warrior his entire life.

My father's mission was so important to him,

it was almost beyond money.

He died with 12 dollars in his pocket.

And that was it.

The day he died, I found out at one PM.

The next day I'm running my webcam studio.

Was I devastated?

Absolutely.

But what did I do?

The same shit I would've done if he was alive.

Just started a webcam company, I had six girls with me.

And I missed my dad's funeral to run my business.

If he was alive, he'd slap me in the mouth

for fucking up my income to go to a fucking funeral.

I can mourn from here.

I started with one girl, made money, bought another laptop,

got another girl, two girls, made money,

bought a bigger apartment, three girls, four girls,

They're spread by fan accounts which share

his most controversial clips.

That content boosted by TikTok's aggressive algorithms.

- People would take his videos, clip them up,

maybe green screen them, and then like remix them

in a way to add different comedy to it.

So his fan base was doing this and all those podcast clips

circulating around, that's all you would see, basically.

- And I ended up absolutely everywhere.

And now people complain that they see me more

than they see their own father and they can't get rid of me.

- He's tagged in a TikTok and I look at it for too long,

that feeds the algorithm and it spreads out more

to my followers and to the followers

that are already engaging in that content.

- At that time Andrew Tate was going viral

so obviously my whole feed was Andrew Tate, Andrew Tate,

Andrew Tate I feel like that was the whole feed

for everyone in the world because

obviously he was the most trending person on social media.

Everyone was loving him.

More than Kardashians, more than the Queen,

more than anyone else, he was the most Googled man.

- So you may have noticed, that I am now the

most famous man on the planet.

I am, by the metrics of the internet,

the most famous individual who is currently alive,

in the world, today.

- You've heard of Hate Speech, well Tate Speech

is spreading a toxic cloud through schools.

- Andrew Tate's reach certainly by the summer of 2022

was vast, on social media.

And that was because he managed to

manipulate social media platforms to push content

around the internet.

And it had a huge impact,

especially to a young male audience.

- Everybody is trying to manipulate you all the time,

The news?

The teachers?

You trust those people?

- Now teachers are struggling

because I am a woman.

They don't want to listen to a woman.

For some of them it was just a joke.

But for some of them it was definitely not.

I did not feel like Andrew Tate's content

was appropriate for 14, 15-year-old boys to be watching.

Especially for the safety of my 14 and 15-year-old girls,

in my classroom.

How much money do you make and,

I need to be in a group with this girl because I own her.

And that's when I was like, "Yeah that's definitely not happening."

Andrew Tate tells them that they can do whatever they want

to a woman.

They basically own women.

In the comments section of that video I got hundreds

and hundreds of teachers from all over saying like,

I'm seeing the same thing.

I'm not only seeing it at the same age level,

but I'm also seeing it as young as like five, six,

seven year-old boys like, what do we do now?

- Schools across the UK are in crisis as the effect

of online influencer Andrew Tate's vile misogyny

infiltrates our classrooms and society.

Teachers are now having to develop their own resources

to re-educate boys who are being brainwashed online

by his deeply toxic messaging.

- There was a lot of talk on social media from teachers

about this new TikTok star.

And there was a big kind of worry about influence

over the boys in particular.

What a lot of teachers on social media were reporting,

was that they were hearing his name coming up more and more and more.

One teacher told me that a boy had said to her,

"I'm gonna go full Andrew Tate on you."

Kids are shouting out his name in the corridor

as teachers walk by.

Where schools have online homework systems,

they're changing their name and replacing it

with Andrew Tate.

- So I want us to just to have a conversation

about what you like about Andrew Tate.

Is he successful because of his attitude

or is he successful because he's worked hard?

- Kids aren't shy about talking about Tate.

He's not taboo.

And this niche interest of theirs has seeped

about girls, and then affect the way that they treat women and girls?

to what he's saying and what the underlying message is

he has a good message, most cases, he has a good message.

and we sent this research to the major platforms.

We turned around and said, "You need to act

to remove the individual from the platform."

The next stage was we had a huge national campaign.

And we got our supporter base from around the country

to sign petitions to send to the platforms.

Twitter moved straight away.

His Instagram account was deleted that week.

The YouTube account was deleted that week as well.

The issue was TikTok.

TikTok was the platform that had the biggest problem on it,

when it came to Andrew Tate, but it was also the platform

where he didn't really have an account himself.

They turned around and said it was unfair,

that we were targeting TikTok.

And we had to explain to them why.

Within just one week all the platforms took some form

of action, which was pretty unprecedented.

- And here we are.

This stream is now five times larger

than the biggest stream we've ever done.

Do you feel canceled?

- I don't feel fucking canceled. - I don't feel canceled at all,

that see him as a poster boy for being canceled.

- I'd say in the top three most banned people

in the world there's Andrew Tate, Alex Jones, and Donald Trump.

That's why this interview is so incredibly important.

We're in a club, it's a pretty elite club,

and it's because we scare the establishment.

- That's a pretty good club to be part of.

- This is when he starts saying,

I am a victim of the Matrix.

This notion he has that there is this grand conspiracy

to lock him down and stop his voice being heard,

he starts to play off that on social media.

- The only reason I'm upset by being canceled

is because I've expired one of my lives.

Because first you get canceled,

then they make up a reason to put you in jail

and if that fails they kill you.

So now I'm down to my last two lives.

- He talked about being silenced, and then the next step,

is they're gonna kill me.

So now you're like "Oh, are they gonna kill him?"

- He said, "You know, it's gonna start off

with a false accusation, and a arrest."

And worse case, I didn't even want to say it

on this documentary but, potentially death as well.

- Clearly, he was expecting to be arrested for something.

- [News Anchor] According to reports, the investigation

first began when the US embassy in Romania got a tip

in April that the Tates were holding a US citizen

at their home against her will.

- [News Anchor 2] His brother Tristan

and two Romanian nationals were also taken into custody.

Six women have been identified who were allegedly exploited

by the group.

- The matrix has attacked me.

- [News Anchor 2] So we've just heard that they have

just asked the court to extend Andrew Tate's

original 24-hour period of detention to 30 days.

So a significant extension being asked for there.

- Andrew Tate is my client about four years.

I represent him in Romania, and we collaborate

just a little bit of some commercial stuff.

It was a very big surprise for me that he was arrested.

- [Lucy] We know there are seven alleged victims

who were apparently, allegedly recruited

by false promises of love and marriage

by the two Tate brothers.

- The victims were lured under pretenses of love

then intimidated and coerced into pornographic acts.

- All of the allegations are denied by Andrew.

They're not good because they're very upset

about what is happening.

They don't recognize the allegations against them.

They are trying to do everything is possible

to prove they are not guilty.

- [Reporter] And you are confident, or not?

- I am confident.

And that's all I want to declare today.

- Andrew Tate has been arrested for human trafficking

and a rape.

Which is absolutely absurd, simply for the reasons

that it's absolutely false.

I have lived with Andrew for years and years.

And he would never do anything like this.

- I was lucky enough to have met this man,

and I can say that the person I was supporting

through a screen turned out to be exactly as I expected in person.

I just had such a positive experience.

I have absolutely nothing negative to say so

to see what's happening right now makes me extremely, extremely upset.

- They are the kindest and smartest guys

that I have ever met.

- [Andrew] In America if you're rich

they think you're an actor,

in London if you're rich they think you're a businessman.

In Romania if you're rich they think you're a criminal.

Strange.

- [News Anchor 3] A court in Romania has agreed

to allow the controversial social media influencer

Andrew Tate to leave prison and move into house arrest.

The British American former kickboxer has millions

of online followers.

[gentle music continues] [car rumbling]

- I mean, I personally, I like him and Tristan,

both, I think they're great guys,

they're doing a lot for the low man on the totem pole.

So, it's about a two-hour walk to his house.

Yeah, that was crazy, got to see him come out

wearing the infamous red and black and gold robe.

Probably one of the more interesting days of my life.

- I told all of you in advance. I saw the future

and I was not wrong.

What they are hitting me with is the highest level

of Matrix attack which a man can possibly endure.

- I didn't wake up this morning and receive a phone call

from the Matrix giving me my orders for the day.

My instructions come from four women who have all

suffered horribly at the hands of Tate.

Completely separate to the alleged crimes that Tate

is facing prosecution for in Romania.

These incidents occurred in late 2014, early 2015

and were reported to the police shortly thereafter.

There's a pattern here of violent abuse

and specifically throttling.

I've got some papers for Mr. Tate.

If I could just pass them to you?

- My name is Matthew Jury.

We're seeking to encourage the police

to reopen the investigation in the hope that there will be

a charging decision and a decision to prosecute by the CPS.

The victims' ultimate objective would for him

to be criminally prosecuted and to have their claims heard

in court.

- One of the main reasons I wanted to come forward

is to get justice and expose him for who he is.

I don't think any of us would put ourselves through

what we've been through for money, I don't think.

I don't need money.

Like, it's not what I'm chasing.

I just think justice needs to be served.

- It is crazy that it has taken

I don't know how many victims now, for something

to finally happen.

I just wanted to express myself.

Just have the truth known.

- My client is a named victim in the Romanian case.

Last year she was one of the women who were rescued

from the Tates' compound.

She came here from London where she was living and studying

because she fell in love with Andrew Tate.

He very quickly started to groom her,

and coerce her into filming online content,

doing things with her body, in order for him

to gain financially.

And once it became very serious for her,

she really started to feel a lot of shame,

a lot of depression, a lot of doubts.

She confronted him about that, and it was at that point

that he brutally raped her.

- [Matthew] We're here today alongside US attorneys

who are representing victims and survivors and witnesses

of Tate's alleged crimes in Romania.

We're working alongside them but they're dealing

with distinct cases in their own jurisdiction.

There's been recently a concerted campaign to intimidate,

harass and threaten victims and witnesses.

And really this press conference is about saying enough is enough.

- Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate, and their lawyers

in America have decided to sue our clients

who are victims of human trafficking and sexual abuse.

Earlier this year, the Tates filed a lawsuit

and named my client, it named another victim.

Then accused the women of essentially conspiring together

to extort the Tates, and that they've suffered

severely emotionally and psychologically

and financially because of the Romanian prosecution.

Because of all that, they're seeking $5 million

in monetary damages from the defendants.

This is traditional, very basic witness intimidation.

- Our clients have received deaths threats,

they've had the most despicable lies about them

spread online and repeated hundreds of thousands of times

to the point that it feels they cannot escape,

and they cannot live their lives.

We stand together to say we believe all the women

who have come forward as victims of the Tates

and we will not back down, thank you.

- [Eugen] You know that you don't have the legal right

to practice law here in Romania.

To present in Romania as a lawyer, you know that?

- We are lawyers and we're not presenting to a court

or appearing to a court in any way.

- [Eugen] In front of the authority, public authority

is still the quality of a lawyer.

When you represent a client,

and not your personal interest.

- [Mathew] Sorry, are you a representative of the press

or Mr. Tate?

I'm just wondering, you didn't introduce yourself.

- No, I'm representing of the civil side, society.

I don't have here, I'm not in the court.

- I know I just wanted to clarify who we were talking to.

- [Eugen] It's the legal team of Tate.

- Who is Mr. Tate's lawyer, sorry that's what I wanted

to establish.

I think you should probably again,

for the sake of transparency, maybe be honest.

Introduce yourself as who you are

before you ask a question.

- [Eugen] My name is Eugen Constantin Vidineac,

I am lawyer in Romania.

- For Mr. Tate?

- [Eugen] For, Mr. Tate is one of my clients.

- [Mathew] Right, thank you.

- They made it very clear that they were here,

sitting in the front row of this press conference

in front of all the cameras, to do everything they could

to disrupt the free flow

of factual and truthful information.

- I'll answer your question

I believe the evidence strongly demonstrates

that Andrew Tate is a rapist, and moreover, a serial rapist

who likes to throttle women.

- [Man] Liar, you're a liar.

- [Child] Daddy, daddy, daddy, daddy.

- Have you missed me? - Yeah.

- Oh, have you missed me? - Yeah.

Have you been good? - Yeah.

- Are you lying?

Are you lying or telling the truth?

This is not a victimless crime, what's happening to me.

Because no crime has taken place

and then I'm being persecuted.

And that's not a victimless crime.

Of course my brother and I have suffered

but so has my family.

My mother has suffered, my children have suffered,

the mothers of my children have suffered,

everyone close to me has suffered.

People are suffering because of this.

What is this? - [child] Pawn.

Pawn.

This is what most people in life are.

Pawns.

- Just because he's now saying something different,

doesn't mean that all of those times he revealed

his true self that wasn't authentic.

It just means that it now suits him

to be spinning a different persona.

He's doing it to protect himself, insulate himself

from what's coming.

- I've been on the internet for a long time,

I've made some jokes, I've made some videos

and people don't understand satire or comedy.

They're going to try to criticize me and crucify me

for the next hundred years because of it.

Because of clips that were made 10 years ago.

- I have to look into your eyes and ask you

have you ever raped someone?

- I have no need to rape anybody.

And that's the thing that I think is pretty

pertinently clear to the people at home.

The victims are on my side, there's no one against me

but the State.

I've done nothing wrong.

I feel like this whole criminal investigation

there's gonna be a fantastic end to all of this

once I'm found innocent.

I believe.

And I do believe I'll be found innocent.

I've seen all of the case against me, and there is no case.

Then it's very difficult to put somebody in jail,

when there's nobody saying he did anything wrong.

- I would like him to go to prison for his crimes,

and he also deserves to go to prison here,

for the things that he's done to us.

And hopefully it will be different in the future

for anybody else that this happens to.

That's what I really want to come from this.
