And the airstrip cut, it looks like it
should have some really good potential.

26 -year -old Parker Schnabel has been
tearing through ground at a record pace.

And now he has his sights set on a new
claim, the airstrip cut.

You know, really, I'd like to get as
much of it mined up as we can.

Tony's an uncertain landowner, so we
should get the gold out of the ground

we still can.

I think the best thing to do is going to
be to just shut down Lucifer and move

to the Harris strip cut.

Parker took a chance having first -year
club boss Tyson Lee run Lucifer all

season. But so far, he's exceeded all
expectations and worked through the pay

dirt at the promised land in record
time.

they kind of threw us ground.

painful and it took so damn long, so

fire up his third, his seasoned game
changer, the mobile trommel on wheels.

It's time to find out if Tony's $400

With a Moose Creek trommel, I could
really cast in on the gold prices.

This unique 30 -year -old trommel drives
itself on wheels and should be much

cheaper to run than a standard trommel.

a week for the rest of the season.

We've got the creek cut opened up, but
that ground's going to be a lot leaner

than the ground we were planning on
running out of the deep cut.

In order for us to hit our 1 ,000 -ounce
goal, we're going to have to up our

yardage.

The Troy's walkway can only do 100 yards
an hour, and Monster Red can easily do

over 300 yards per hour.

So Monster Red is going to be key to
getting us to 1 ,000 ounces.

Last season, Rick spent half a million
dollars on wash plant Monster Red.

And even more modifying the plant to
handle the rocky Duncan Creek pay dirt.

He then ran it hard to the end of the
season.

Now it's sitting eight miles away at his
old claim on Upper Duncan Creek.

get Monster Red back up and sleuthing as

soon as possible.

here, and there's really not much wear.

to go. The big job with this is going to
be the distribution out there.

It's because of how high this plant is.
That's what it does. That is a long ways

down, though, you're right. I know we
could probably run it like that, but

going to destroy our conveyor it feeds

On Indian River, it's day two of Tyson
Lee's five -day plant move.

I'm going to go take a look at the plant
pad and see what's going on.

He's hauled slucifer to the airstrip cut
in record time.

Now he needs to get the plant onto the
pad.

This is the starting of a pad, but by no
means is it ready for a wash plant.

We were hoping this would be a seamless
transition, but it's not ready.

The pad has been prepped with loose
tailings, but Tyson needs to finish

it and put in a ramp before Sluicifer
can run pay dirt.

Every day the plant is down costs Parker
Snable over $91 ,000.

You know, Parker doesn't want Sluicifer
down any longer than it has to be. I

told him five days and he wasn't too
happy about that, so time to get to

building this pad because it's not going
to build itself.

A lot of jumping from machine to machine
today.

should ever.

Day three, and it's time to get the work
plant onto the pad.

It's going to get boosted for a new
home.

got it on some much more durable hose.

Can run the heat gun, get this hose nice
and toasty before we jam it on the

other end. You want to get the hose
warm.

because one thing expands makes it easy
to get it on

now we're going to heat it up we're
going to

apply some lubrication via soap to the
uh hose barb and then we're gonna

attempt to get it on ready and

go

Oh, that is excellent.

Well, that's all done. We got the hose
on.

I can see it in front of it. Yeah. Fire
it up. See what we can get out of the

trommel. I'm kind of curious.

Good. Gavin, turn the valves open a

Tony is counting on the mobile trommel
to run 150 yards of pay dirt an hour.

It could increase his gold haul by 50%.
Tony, the water comes in,

there's a pump on. All right, yeah.

The water pressure is too high in the
sluice runs, causing any gold there to

washed out.

The thing clogs up and then the water
can't go nowhere.

We have inch and a half square holes in
the screen in the trommel. We could

have a fine screen in there. We couldn't
have any bigger gravel than half inch.

We could run that kind of gravel to the
trommel, not that.

The mobile trommel uses a discharge pipe
to shoot fine tailings out the back of

the plants.

But the connecting pipe is blocked with
stones, causing water to back up and

flood the sluices.

So number one, we'll have to put in new
screen.

I'm just going to take it a month or
two.

Tony's big gamble has failed to deliver.

There ain't having it.

I'm a little bit disappointed, more than
a little disappointed actually.

Back to the drawing board.

At Duncan Creek, Rick Ness has abandoned

hour watch plant, Monster Red.

After the beating it took last season,
it would take a month and $100 ,000 to

repair.

With only two months left of his season,
Rick desperately needs to increase

production if he's going to hit his 1
,000 -ounce season goal.

much and be too much of a hassle to get

Not having Montserrat up and running
this year is actually going to be a big

problem because we're not going to be
able to run the yardage that I planned

The only thing we can do, I think, is
just up our hours, and that means

a clean shift.

Rich and mechanic Carl Rock take their
first night shift.

We'll probably be doing 16, 18 -hour
days.

Whatever we got to do here to get more
gold, we're going to do it.

Our season goal is 1 ,000 ounces, right?
So we're trying to push as much dirt

through this plant as we possibly can.
And, yeah, I know Rick's working his ass

off, and everybody wants to follow
behind him, and that's why I'm here,

The wiper is a blade attached to a steel
bar, which runs across the belt to

scrape off wet debris.

I'm still going to try to make it work
the way I intended to, and I see no

reason why that wouldn't work. It has
potential.
