Welcome back in this tutorial we will solve some exercises based on multi-section
solids. So we will we will create this exercise and this exercise. So let's begin.
So first click on start mechanical design part design. Now in this exercise
actually we will need three planes. So first second and third. Suppose we will
consider the existing plane as the at the center. So we will have to create one
more plane at the length of 85. So click on this plane tool select this
horizontal plane and give distance of 85. Then third plane we will need at 125
from this top plane. So again we will select this top plane then plane tool and
we will reverse the direction we want it on the downside and distance of 125.
So in this way three planes are created two are created one is already there. So
at first on the top plane we will create this ellipse it is here then this circle
of diet 20 and this circle of diet 10. So sketch select this top plane, zoom fit,
create ellipse. So here is the ellipse give the center point second point and third part.
Give the parameters. So parameter is 120 by 80. So click on constraint click on the ellipse
click there and give 120. Enter and next is vertical is 80 again constraint.
Select this point here and here and here the parameter is 80. Then click on exit workbench.
So this is our zoom fit. This is first sketch. Second sketch will be on this plane.
Select this plane and sketch zoom fit then create circle and constraint. So second circle diameter
is 20. So we will give it the diameter of 20. Then exit workbench then third is on this plane.
Click sketch zoom fit circle. So here then constraint and third circle diameter is 10.
So we will give it 10. Then exit workbench. So here three sketches are ready. Then click on multi-section
solid. Then select first section, second section and third section. Then click on preview.
So here it has been create. Then click on okay. After that we need a it is a hollow portion.
So the thickness is one mm. So we will create that using shell command. So click on shell.
Then thickness is one already there. Then faces to remove click on this surface and this surface.
Then okay. The symmetric view. Zoom fit.
So in this way this one it is created. Then next object is this one. This is a pulley.
So let's see how to create it. So actually to create this portion we will have to make it by
shell command and this portion ribs we will have to make using multi-section solid.
So at first we will create this portion. So for that we will start a technical design part design.
Then this portion we want to create on vertical surface. So we will select the vertical plane
and click on sketch. Then here is one rectangle is there and one arc is there. So at first we will
create this. So click on rectangle. Then this rectangle needs to be symmetric to vertical axis.
So we will create one axis and we will select this line, control this line and this axis.
In constant defined in dialogue of symmetry. Okay. Then parameters. So inside
circle is of 36 that is 18. So we will be constant from edge to this is 18.
Then next is outside is from here it is 40. So again constraint from this to this it is 40.
Then width is 65. So will you constraint width as 65. Double flip.
So in this way this rectangular part is ready then this arc is there. So we will create one arc
so click on the circle area select this arc. Suppose we will take this one
three point arc starting with limits. So we will zoom it. So give the first point,
second point and radius. Now again we will need this two point symmetric to axis.
So we will select this point control, second point. Then axis. Then click on constant
defined in dialogue of symmetry. Okay. Then the dimension the distance between these two point is 18.
So we will give distance of 18. Constraint this point to this point is 18. Double flip change it.
Then next is 50. The top is at a 50 from the center. So we will give that dimension constraint
from this edge to this top. It is 50. So in this way this shape is created then we would have to remove this.
So click here and take click trim and remove this shape. So in this way this portion is
what a portion is created. Next will be the upper portion. So upper portion is again one rectangle
we will need it. So we will create that rectangle. Zoom fit. So again create one rectangle.
Suppose we will create in line with this rectangle because width of both rectangles is same.
Then we will give parameter for this rectangle. So it is a this rectangle is at 138 and 145.
So we will give two constraint from the center. It is at 138 and upper will be at
upper will be at 145. So double flip 145.
Then next will be this circle circular part at 132 and 12 is the width. So again this arc
arc with limit give the first point second point radius part.
Then again make it constraint or make it symmetric. Select this point then control second point and
okay select first point. Control second point and access then constant
and in dialogue of same method. Then give the parameter so inside 132. So again give the distance
constraint from h to br. It is 132. 132. Okay.
Then actually one arc is there. So we will create that arc. This will be same method.
Okay. So they are not given any radius for that. So we will keep it as it is.
Then we will remove the unwanted part double click the fix train and remove it.
Zoom fit. So in this way this portion is created. Then we will have to make shaft around this
h axis. So we will create axis at h position. Create one horizontal axis.
Then exit workbench then shaft click on shaft. Give the 360 degree. Okay. So in this way this
portion is created. Then next is to create this arc. So we will create one multi-section
solid on spine. So at first we will create this spine. So for that we will take this vertical plane
sketch and select again the arc. So we will be within edges on.
Shading with edges on. So from here we will start and we will end here and define the radius.
Then we will just take this point and this arc and make it coincidence. Same with this point
and this arc and make it. Okay. This arc and this point. Constantly finding the inner walls.
Okay. There is some problem. Okay. Actually we will need this inside. Take this arc. Control this point.
Constantly finding the inner walls. Coincidence. Okay. Then make it normal again back to normal.
So in this way this arc is created. Then exit workbench. Then we will have to create
to plane on the each end. So click on the plane tool. The arc was already selected. Just give the point.
Okay. We can plane tool select the arc. Give the point. Okay. Then first profile we will create on
this vertical plane. So just select the plane and sketch. Now here actually in the side
you it is a 20 and in the front you it is a 12. That means this is a ellipse. So we will create one ellipse.
Then in the side you it is a 20. That means when we view from this side it will be 20. So we will give
that parameter from this point to this point 20. Then width will be 12 here. So we will give that as a 12.
Just select the ellipse and give that 12. Okay.
Then select this point. Control this point and make them coincides. Okay. And zoom fit.
Exit. So this first profile is ready. Then select second plane.
Then sketch. Zoom fit. Zoom there below. Then create another ellipse.
Then for this ellipse again in the side you it is 20 and in the front you are sectioning it is 18.
So again for vertical we will give 20 constraint this point to this point 20.
Okay. Actually that ellipse not created properly. Again take the ellipse.
Keep this line horizontal otherwise inclined ellipse will be created.
Give the second point constraint. Then select this point and this ellipse. Give the 20.
Then again constraint select the ellipse and give it a team.
Then select the center point control this point.
Even though it is not visible as selected it gets selected actually. So don't worry about that.
Then click on constant different in dialogue box. Zoom sit down. Okay. And exit.
So in this way the access and two profiles are created. Then click on
multi-section solid. Then select first section is already selected. Click on the second section.
Then spine. Click on spine. Spine. Select this as a spine. Previous.
Okay. So in this way this is created. Then if we want to repeat it everywhere.
Just make it clean. And for that we will use pattern. So click on the
first select the feature. Multi-section solid. Then click on circular pattern.
Then click on complete crown. Select this cylindrical. Then click here. Number of patterns for
then here. Select this cylinder. Okay. So in this way this part is created.
Actually it is looking very weak actually. So we will just increase the size of the ellipse.
Here it is sketch 4. So we will make it somewhat stronger. So here we will make it
so 30. And here we will make it 25. It is it. Then here sketch 3.
Here we make it 25. Again 30 we will keep the same. 30. And here make it 20.
Okay remove this dimension. And give it again. So it is constraint. Select the ellipse.
Okay. We want it from horizontal point. So click on this point.
Okay it is not getting the point. So we will give it from center. Select the center point
and ellipse. Then we will make it
previous first 12. So we will make it suppose 10. It will become 20.
Then exit. And here. Now it is somewhat stronger than previous.
And if you want to make it more safe. Okay. All right.
So in this way both the objects are created.
