Paired them off with college boys.

The ragamuffins visibly rose.
They actually raised themselves.

But this is the crux
of the matter, son.

The college boys
were totally unscathed.

And that is the secret
of the governing class.

Secret of the Royal Family.

And when I was a teacher, I was privileged
to know many of the Royal Family personally.

No side at all.

Regal bearing, yes. But not
the snobbery of the newly rich.

Simple dignity.

Which is what is missing
from so much of life today.

Grace.

Style.

We're all the same. We need
something fine to which to aspire.

We want to rise,
not sink in the bog.
