and we get to see where she's been for the past seven years,

and I think out of all the characters,

Luciana may be the one who has figured out

how to kind of navigate the world that PADRE

has set up to not just her own advantage,

but to all of the people she has following her.

but at the same time, she was also able to use

and of gas stations to help people.

And we get a real sense of how she was helping people

and creating this network of people she felt loyal to

when we see who one of her workers is,

and that person is Charlie.

What the hell is going on?

It's complicated.

-What? -Madison learning that Charlie,

the person that she brought into the stadium was responsible

for killing her son is a gut punch of gut punches.

Madison.No! Man: Come on, Charlie, go, go, go.

Goldberg: Not only is she angry at Charlie,

she's also angry at herself because it makes her feel

responsible for her son's death to a certain degree.

Madison kind of goes bananas.

[ Screams ]

Madison. Madison. Come on.

No! No.

And then she does spitefully make a decision

that puts Charlie in danger.

You snuck into the stadium.

You fooled me, Victor, everyone.

I need you to do the same with Troy.

Goldberg: Madison comes to regret

her decision to send Charlie in.

And the tragic part is that by the time

Madison reaches this conclusion,

Charlie's already in a really difficult place with Troy,

and it leads to her having to make a sacrifice

in order to protect what Madison is building in PADRE.

Don't give him the location.

It's not your choice, Charlie.

Yes, it is.

Charlie!

Chambliss: In the aftermath of Charlie's sacrifice,

all of our characters are very divided.

You know, as much as this season is about kind of family,

we find this episode ends

with that family being split up.

I can't go back to PADRE with you.

I need you.

I can't do this alone.

Domingo: I wanted to make sure that when she said,

"I'm not going with you," that it was definitive.

That's not "Oh, I'm just going to go off for a while

and I'll meet you at another time.

We'll get together again." This is it.

That division has to be very clear.

It has to be very hard

and heartbreaking for both of them.

You're gonna have to.

Because so much has happened now,

I think that Madison realizes

that it's probably best for them

to just go their separate ways.

So, the end of this episode really leaves

all of our characters separated,

all of our characters kind of at their lowest points

we've seen them at this season,

and that's not a place that they want to be

when they have Troy Otto opposite them,

kind of ramping up for an attack on PADRE.
