It's time to celebrate Merry Fishmas.

Little sea animals, super happy,

spend fun-filled holidays with fish families.

But wait, stop the festivities.

Fifi and friends need to solve a mystery.

A little shark is missing.

Where can he be?

- Good morning class.

- [All] Good morning.

- I know you are all very excited.

Today is the last day before Fishmas vacation.

- I am super happy, Professor Shark.

No school for two weeks.

- That's right, Sammy.

For our last day of school,

I thought we would talk about families.

- Families?

Like Mama and Papa, and Finn?

- Yes Fifi, you, your Mama, Papa, and Finn,

are one example of a family.

But there are many kinds of families.

- I have a big family.

I have a grandma and a grandpa and lots of whale cousins.

- Family fam, I have a mom, a dad,

two grandmas, two grandpas,

16 brothers, 14 sisters, and a lots and lots of cousins.

- That is a big family, Trigger.

- I do not have a big family.

I never met my real mom and dad.

I am adopted.

- What does adoption mean?

- Adopted means the the mom and dad I live with

are different from my real mom and dad.

When I was a baby, a sea turtle found me.

I was all alone.

He brought me to Fishtail Reef

to live with a really cool family.

They adopted me as their son.

- That is super duper cool.

- It is!

Some sea animals like Petal,

were adopted by loving families.

- I have a mom and a dad and two brothers.

We swim everywhere together.

- Some sea animals, like dolphins,

do form close family bonds, Chopper.

- I live with a lot of different manta rays,

but my mom and dad are always

swimming close by if I need them.

- I never met my dad, but I have a really cool mom.

- I have a mom too, I do not have a dad,

a grandma, or a grandpa.

- I have a dad, but not a mom.

If your dad and your mom got together,

Kiki would have a dad and Tang would have a mom.

(laughing)

- Not every family has a mom and a dad, Fifi,

and that's okay.

- Me and Fifi have a grandma too.

She always brings us seaweed treats.

- My grandma is always feeding me.

She says a whale needs blubber to be healthy and happy.

- Yes, grandmas are wonderful.

- Do you have a grandma, Professor Shark?

- I do not have a grandma Trigger,

I grew up without a mom or a dad,

or a grandma or a grandpa.

- That is sad!

- Sharks are different than other fish, Fifi.

Most sharks' moms do not stay with their babies.

- Oh no!

- It's okay Lily, I grew up with many other little sharks.

And they became my family.

- A family of sharks.

That sounds cool.

- Where did you live when you were a baby shark?

- I lived in what is called an orphanage.

- What is an orphanage?

- An orphanage is a place where little fish,

who do not have a mom or a dad

or grandpa or grandma or any other family, live.

In my orphanage,

a few big sharks took care of all of us.

- Did you like it there?

- Not all the time,

but we always had enough to eat,

and the big sharks taught us how to live in the sea.

Did you celebrate Fishmas?

- Oh, we did not get presents,

but we played games, and had Fishmas dinner.

- No presents?

Fishmas without presents, that is crazy.

- It was okay, Sammy.

Fishmas isn't all about presents, you know.

- It is all about presents to me.

(laughing)

- I do not understand Professor Shark.

Why didn't Santa Fish bring you a present?

- Fishy wishy Fishmas.

Did you remember to leave Santa Fish

something to eat, Professor Shark?

We seahorses always leave him treats to eat

if he gets hungry.

- Maybe Professor Shark was not a very good little shark.

So Santa Fish did not leave him a present.

- I do not believe that.

- Me neither.

- I was told Santa Fish was a big red flying fish

who gives presents to everyone in the reef,

with the help of a giant sea turtle.

- My Papa told me that lots of little Tang fish

help Santa Fish bring presents to everyone in the reef.

- There are lots of fun stories about Santa Fish,

but no one knows the truth

because no one has ever seen him.

- I tried to stay up late to see Santa Fish last year,

but I fell asleep.

When I woke up, my presents were under the seaweed tree.

- Fishmas is not all about presents, Sammy.

My mama says Fishmas is about sharing.

So, Professor Shark,

I will save you one of the presents that I get this year.

- That is a good idea Fifi.

I will give Professor Shark one of my Fishmas presents, too.

- I think everyone in class

should save one of their presents for Professor Shark.

- Great idea.

- Then Professor SharK will have a lot of presents

to put under his Fishmas tree.

- That's a very nice idea,

but I have a better one.

I would like each of you

to write a story

about something fun you did for Fishmas

to share with the rest of the class.

Your happy stories will be my Fishmas presents.

- [Narrator] Professor Shark swims home

to a private cave where he lives alone.

His students are his family.

So is Toothy McGrew, who shares childhood memories.

- Professor Shark, just who I wanted to see.

- Why Toothy, what are you doing in Fishtail Reef?

- Would you believe I need your help?

- You need my help?

- Strange huh?

But true.

- What's wrong?

- Don't let it get around that I'm a nice guy.

But I volunteer twice a week

at the orphanage cave where you and I grew up.

- Yes, I try to visit the orphanage every Fishmas.

- Ooh, I know you do,

but this is not about Fishmas.

- What is it about?

- A little shark name Ping.

He swam away from the orphanage and no one can find him.

- Why did Ping swim away from the orphanage?

- Remember the time you and I swam away from the orphanage?

- I do, we were so sure

we could find our way through the big ocean.

Oh like us, I'm sure Ping will get hungry and swim home.

- I thought that too.

And then I spoke to a few other sharks at the orphanage.

They said Ping swam away because he was being bullied.

- Bullied?

- Yes, he's very small for a shark his age,

the other fish make fun of him and push him around.

- That is terrible.

I do not like bullies.

- Me neither.

Remember mean old Finch?

He was always giving you a hard time for being smart.

- That bully whacked me with his tail.

And you're pushed him away before he could whack me again.

- Always had your back, Professor.

Now some bullies at the orphanage are ganging up on Ping.

- That is not acceptable.

- It gets worse.

Some of the older sharks told Ping,

The only way to fight the bullies back

was to find the Whale Shark King.

- The Whale Shark King?

- They told him the Whale Shark King

could mix some kind of potion for Ping,

to make him grow big and strong.

- And he believed them?

- He swam away from the orphanage to find him.

Will you help me look for Ping and help bring him home?

- Of course.

- Hi Professor Shark, hi Toothy.

What are you doing in the reef?

- Fifi, Lily, my favorite little fish baits.

- Toothy is looking for a little lost shark.

- A lost shark?

- His name is Ping.

The little guy swam away from the orphanage.

- Orphanage?

Professor Shark was telling us

what an orphanage is in class today.

- He said he grew up in an orphanage.

- I grew up in the same place.

That's how Professor Shark and I know each other.

- So is he your adopted family?

- Yes Lily.

He's my adopted family.

- Why did the little shark swim away from the orphanage?

- He swam away because the other fish were bullying him.

- I do not like bullies.

- Bullies are bad.

- Got that right, fish baits.

Bullies are bad.

Ping is a little shark,

and some of the bigger fish steal his food, push him down.

Hold him on the sea floor.

- That is so mean.

- What kind of shark is Ping?

- Ping is a whale shark.

- A whale shark?

- I thought whale sharks were very big.

- You got that right, when Ping grows up,

he is going to be huge.

He was born small, but he'll catch up.

- Whale shark?

Is he a whale like me?

- No Lily, Ping is not a whale.

It's a bit confusing, but a whale shark is a shark.

A shark is a fish.

You are a whale, and a whale is a marine mammal.

- Ping is a shark like the professor and me.

He may be very little now,

but he's gonna grow up to be

one of the biggest sharks in the sea.

- Will he eat us?

- Whale sharks are friendly, much friendlier than me,

even though they have a lot more teeth than I do.

- More teeth?

- Whale sharks have thousands of teeth.

- Thousands?

That is a really big number.

I cannot count that high.

- Why do the other sharks make fun of Ping?

Aren't they afraid of all those teeth.

- Whale sharks do not bite.

They do not use their teeth to eat.

- Where do you think Ping went?

- He swam into the big sea to find the Whale Shark King.

- Who? I have never heard of him.

- Oh, the Whale Shark King is a myth,

or a fish tale, that's been around

for hundreds of years.

- What is a myth?

What is a fish tale?

- Why a myth or a fish tale

is a story about something that happened

to someone a long time ago.

It's told by other sharks to littler ones,

and it may or may not be true.

- When we were little shark baits,

the older fish told us about the Whale Shark King.

- He is supposed to be the biggest, oldest,

smartest shark in the sea.

- He has magical super powers.

- Magical super powers?

Did anyone ever meet him?

- No shark has ever seen him.

That's why we call the stories about him myths,

or fish tales.

- Oh I understand, it is like Santa Fish.

He brings all the good little fish presents on Fishmas,

but no one has ever seen him.

- Everyone has a story about Santa Fish,

what they think he looks like,

where he lives,

but no one knows for sure.

- I try to stay awake every Fishmas,

so I can see him, but I always fall asleep.

- Me too.

- Is Santa Fish, a myth or a fish story, Professor Shark?

- Yes Lily, Santa Fish is an example

of a myth or a fish tale.

- Still, I believe there's a Santa Fish.

Only a magic fish could deliver presents

to everyone in the reef on Fishmas.

- Maybe there really is a Whale Shark King.

Why does Ping want to find him?

- Some of the orphanage bullies told Ping

the Whale Shark King had a magic potion

that would help him grow big and strong.

- Is it true?

Is there a magic potion that can help Ping get bigger?

- No Fifi, I do not think so.

Only time will help Ping grow.

- Where does the Whale Shark King live?

- Maybe he lives with Santa Fish.

- Maybe they both live in one big magical cave.

- Hold onto your fins, little fish baits.

It is just a story.

- No one knows where he lives,

or if there is a Whale Shark King.

- If no one knows where he lives,

Ping could get lost in the ocean.

- That's why we are worried about him.

- I have a good idea, Lily and I can help you find Ping.

- Yes, that is a very good idea, Fifi.

- Not a good idea, fish baits.

It's getting late, and the ocean beyond the reef

is not safe for little guys like you.

- Toothy is right.

We need you to swim on home now.

- But we want to help.

- We are very good at finding lost fish.

- You are very good at finding lost fish, Fifi and Lily,

but you are also very good at getting lost at sea.

Then we'd have to find you.

- Go home fish baits, have some fun.

It's almost time for the Fishmas Parade.

- I almost forgot about that Toothy.

- Me too.

I do not want to miss the Fishmas Parade.

- I hope we find Ping before it gets dark.

- Where should we start looking?

- I'm guessing Ping is headed for the wild shark caves.

- I hope the sharks laugh when Ping

asks about the Whale Shark King.

- Ditto that.

Let's hope they're too busy laughing to eat him.

- Fifi, did I hear you tell Finn

that a little shark is missing on Fishmas?

- Yes, mama.

His name is Ping.

He is a whale shark.

He is going to be really big when he grows up.

- Whale sharks are cool.

They are the biggest sharks in the sea.

They can live a really long time.

They have thousands of tiny teeth,

but they do not use them to eat.

Food goes into their mouth,

then gets filtered through their gills.

- That is what Professor Shark said.

He also told us that Ping lives in an orphanage.

- An orphanage? Like Professor Shark?

- Yes, did you know Professor Shark and Toothy McGrew

lived in the same orphanage when they were little?

- I didn't even know that Professor Shark

grew up in an orphanage.

- Yes, he told us he ate a big dinner on Fishmas,

but he did not get any presents.

- Fishmas is not just about presents.

Fishmas is about families, friends, and sharing.

- That is what I told the class, mama.

I told Professor Shark

I was going to save one of my Fishmas presents for him.

- That is a very nice idea, Fifi.

- Everyone in class said they would

save a present for Professor Shark,

but he said he wanted us

to write about our Fishmas vacation.

He said reading our stories would be his presents.

- Professor Shark is the best teacher in the sea.

- He is the best.

Lily and I want to help him look for Ping,

but he told us to swim home,

or we would be late for the Fishmas parade.

- Did Ping swim away from the orphanage

because he was not going to get any Fishmas presents?

- No, Ping swam away because some big bully sharks

were making fun of him.

- I do not like bullies.

- What's all this about bullies, on Fishmas?

- Fifi was telling us about a little shark named Ping,

who swam away from the orphanage

because he was being bullied by some bigger fish.

- That is terrible.

I do not like bullies.

- Professor Shark does not let anyone

be a bully in our class.

He said there is a difference between teasing someone

in a fun, friendly way

and hurting them by calling them names

and saying mean things.

- Toothy McGrew said a few of the older sharks

were pushing Ping around,

and holding him on the sea floor.

- Why are some fish bullies, Papa?

- That's a good question, Finn.

Bullies are not happy fish,

they're angry or hurt or frustrated.

- Some bullies do not get the love and attention they need.

They push around smaller, weaker fish

because it makes them feel powerful.

- Bullies feel important

if other fish laugh or encourage them.

They think being a bully makes them popular.

- It does not, no one likes bullies.

- That's right, Finn.

You always need to tell us

if someone is acting like that in your school.

- I will, Papa.

- Me too, poor Ping.

I hope Toothy and Professor Shark find him soon.

- I have a good idea.

When they find Ping,

let's invite him to spend Fishmas with us.

- Oh yes Mama, that would be fun.

I will give Ping some of the presents

Santa Fish leaves for me under the Fishmas tree.

- I will give Ping some of my presents, too.

(laughing)

- This will be the best Fishmas ever.

- Yes, it will.

Now let's get ready.

It's almost time for the Fishmas Parade.

- Are you a shark?

And are you going to eat me?

- I am a shark, but I am not going to eat you.

My name is Ping.

I'm a whale shark.

I do not eat crabs.

- Oh, I'm happy to hear that.

What are you doing in the reef?

Are you here for the parade?

- Parade?

- The Fishmas Parade!

Every year to start the holiday season,

the most colorful fish swim through the reef.

- That sounds like fun.

- It is, you want to go?

- I would like to go,

but I have to find the Whale Shark King.

- Who's that?

- He's a magical shark.

- Really? What kind of magic does he do?

- He mixes magic potions.

I am going to ask him for something to help me grow.

- I would like to be bigger too.

Do you think he could help me?

- Do not know.

Some of the sharks at the orphanage told me about him.

- You live in an orphanage?

- Yes, with lots of other sharks.

- Sounds like fun.

- Sometimes it is fun,

but some of the bigger fish make fun of me.

They say I'm too small to be a shark.

They steal my food and push me around.

- That is terrible

I do not like bullies.

- I am hoping the Whale Shark King can help me.

- I've never heard of this fish.

If he is a King, I'm sure that he can help you.

Where does he live?

- I do not know.

The older sharks said he is the biggest shark in the sea.

They said he is so big that if I keep swimming,

I will find him.

- The biggest shark in the sea.

I do not know where he lives,

but wait, I have an idea.

You should go to the shark cave.

I'm sure someone there can help find the Whale Shark King.

- Shark cave?

- I've never been there,

but if you keep swimming,

you'll find a bunch of huge caves

where lots of wild sharks live.

- Thank you, I will swim there now.

- Wait, are you sure the sharks won't eat you?

They are always hungry.

I'm not allowed to go near those caves.

It is dangerous.

- I am not afraid of sharks.

I am a shark, but I will be careful.

- We're almost at the shark caves.

I'll go left, you go right.

Shout if you find Ping, okay?

- Whoa, look over there.

- [Prof. Shark] What, do you see Ping?

- No, but I found a pile of steaming garbage,

looks delicious.

- Toothy, there's no time to eat.

- Not even one tine little bitty bitty

rotting piece of (mumbling)?

- After we find Ping,

I promise we will have a huge Fishmas dinner.

- Like old times?

- Even better.

- I am so excited about the Fishmas Parade.

- Me too.

- I was telling mama about the little lost shark, Ping.

She said when he is found, he can spend Fishmas with us,

at our house.

- That will be so much fun.

I am going to give Ping some of my Fishmas presents.

- I will save some presents for Ping too.

- Hey, are you two talking about a little shark named Ping?

- Hi, Jimmy Crab.

Yes.

- I just met him.

- Ping was here?

- Yes, he told me about the other sharks bullying him.

- He told me he was going to find a Whale Shark King.

- What else did he say?

- He said he was going to ask for a magic potion

to help him grow bigger.

Do you think he could help me too?

- I do not know.

Professor Shark said no one

has ever met the Whale Shark King.

The stories about him are just stories.

- Just stories?

Ping believes the stories are true.

He asked me if I knew where he could find a Fish King.

I told him, I didn't know.

But then I remembered the shark caves.

- The shark caves are very dangerous.

- That is what I said.

- Fifi, we have to swim after Ping.

- If he was just here,

we can catch him before he gets to the shark caves.

- That is a good idea, Lily.

We can find Ping and bring him home for Fishmas.

- We can show him that there are no bullies

in Fishtail Reef.

- Great idea.

But this time we cannot get lost.

- How can we not get lost?

- Seashells.

- Seashells?

- I'm a boy scout crab.

I was taught that when you swim through the open ocean,

it is best to leave a trail of tiny seashells.

- Where do we find tiny seashells?

- It's easy.

There are many tiny seashells

lying in the reef's sandy bottom.

- Do these tiny seashells have animals,

like shrimp living inside them?

- No, no, no, these shells are empty.

When some sea animals get bigger,

they shake off their old shell and grow a new one.

- How will these tiny seashells help us?

- As you swim through the reef,

drop a few tiny seashells behind you.

The seashells then form a path, a path you can follow home.

- That is a very good idea.

- It is.

We will toss a few seashells behind us as we swim.

We will find Ping,

turn around and follow the seashell path home.

- You are very smart, Jimmy Crab.

- Thanks.

You and Fifi are always looking for lost fish

and solving mysteries.

I'm happy to help you.

- It is fun to solve mysteries,

but it is Fishmas.

Mama and Papa will be mad at me if I'm not home soon.

- My grandma will be mad if I miss the Fishmas Parade.

- I love the Fishmas Parade.

Are you going to see it, Jimmy Crab?

- Yes, of course.

- Let's go, Lily.

If we hurry, we can find Ping,

and bring him to Fishtail Reef in time to watch the parade.

- Good luck.

- Hello Fifi, hello Lily.

- Hi Benny Fish.

- Now, where are you do swimming so fast?

The Fishmas parade is that a way.

- We are looking for a little lost whale shark.

- A whale shark?

Is his name Ping?

- Yes, how did you know?

- I just met him.

- You met Ping?

- I was swimming near the wild shark caves,

looking for a ray of pink coral

to bring to the Fishmas Parade,

when the little whale shark whooshed by.

- Whooshed?

- He was swimming really fast.

I hid behind a rock and saw a big sea monster chasing him.

- Oh no!

- I shouted, Goonches!

And the big sea monster stopped chasing

the little whale shark and swam away.

- My dad told me about goonches.

They are the meanest fish in the sea.

Even sea monsters are afraid of them.

- Did you see where Ping went?

- Yes, I caught up with him.

He thanked me for helping him.

He told me he's looking for the Whale Shark King.

- Ping thinks he has a magical potion

to help him grow big and strong.

- Professor Shark said no one

has ever seen the Whale Shark King.

He said Ping is too little to be swimming

in the open ocean all by himself.

- He is too little.

Luckily I convinced him to go to the Fishmas parade.

I told Ping, if there's anyone

who knows about the Whale Shark King

and where he could find him,

they would be at the parade.

- Everybody goes to the Fishmas parade.

- Yes they do.

If you want to find Ping, he will be there too.

- Yay! Let's go!

- I will swim with you.

Look at all the shiny little seashells.

They are forming a path.

Where did they come from?

- We did not want to get lost.

Jimmy Crab told us to drop tiny seashells

in the sandy bottom as we swam.

Now we can follow them home.

- What a good idea.

Jimmy is a very good Crab Scout.

Come on, let's hurry or we'll miss the parade.

- [Narrator] Stripes and spots, neon brights,

the Fishmas Parade starts tonight.

Sea animals, big and small, show off their colors.

To one and all, a happy party in the sea.

A night of fun camaraderie.

- Look at all the beautiful sea animals.

The Fishmas Parade is about to begin.

This is the best Fishmas Parade ever.

We are so lucky to live in Fishtail Reef.

- [Lily] It is so crowded, how are we going to find Ping?

- I searched the caves,

but did not find Ping.

- I did not find him either.

- Do you know any of the sea animals that live here?

We can ask them if they've seen Ping.

- I hope they saw him, but did not eat him.

Hey, Slippery Tail.

- Toothy, haven't seen you in many a tidal wave.

How's that swimming?

- Well enough Slip.

This is my pal, Professor Shark.

- The Professor Shark?

I heard about you.

You's the one that teaches all the little sea rascals

in Fishtail Reef.

- You heard about me?

- You's famous around here.

We heard that you won that award for best teacher,

for, for what, five years in a row now.

- The old Prof didn't even know he was famous.

- Sure he is.

Most of us sea monsters are happy to run the ocean,

eating just about anything and everything we see.

But you,

you are a shark and a teacher.

Now that is really something.

- Thank you, Slippery Tail.

You give me a very special Fishmas present.

- I did?

Oh, what was it?

- A compliment.

- Is that a good thing to get?

'Cause usually everyone around here

says all I do is give 'em a hard time.

- I'm sure that is true.

- Now I know you two didn't come out here

to listen to me shoot off my mouth.

What can I do you for?

- We're looking for a little lost whale shark named, Ping.

- You two are in luck.

I was just chasing a little whale shark,

a bit too little, if you had ask me.

- Never saw one that tiny.

They making mini ones now?

- Ping is what you call a, a runt.

- Runt.

Love them fancy words, Professor.

- You said you were chasing the little shark.

- Oh yeah.

So I'm chasing this little shark

and someone yells 'goonches!'

Now I may look stupid,

and maybe I am stupid,

but I'm not stupid enough to think

there are goonches right here in these waters,

but I hear the word goonches,

and he was shouting real loud,

and I kind of forgot what I was doing.

And the little shark got away.

- Great.

- What's so great about it?

That shark looked real yummy.

- Come on, Slip.

Ping is so little, he would probably get stuck

in those long pointy teeth of yours.

- That is true.

And I did just have me a big old Fishmas dinner.

That little shark was just gonna be my first dessert.

- You celebrate Fishmas?

- Of course, sea monsters love Fishmas.

We like to see who can eat the most without exploding.

- So, what'd you eat so far?

- Let me see.

I started with a chunk of gooey truck tire.

Chewy, but to nice and tasty.

Had a bit of motor oil covering it.

- You're making my stomach growl.

- After that, I ate me a few tasty water toys.

You know, smashed rubber balls and such.

Oh yeah.

I ate a big old rusty camera.

Then, let me see, a fur coat, regret eating that.

Soggy fur got got stuck in my teeth.

Had to eat some smelly, oily gloves

just to get that sticky stuff out of my mouth.

- Oily gloves?

Delicious.

- I washed that down with a leather shoe.

Then, a crunchy sharp rusty license plate.

Oh God I love it.

- License plate?

What state?

- Don't go getting your shirt twisted up.

It was just another New York license plate.

- That makes how many now?

- 28 different States so far.

- Still beating you.

I'm at 32 states, not counting the reruns.

I'm always finding Hawaiian plates.

Those things travel far.

- What are you two talking about?

- Me and Toothy got ourselves a contest.

I get 50 rubber boots bet on my eating

all 50 license plates before Toothy.

- One license plate from each state.

Sounds easy.

It's not.

- Been trying to find me an Arkansas, Nebraska,

Iowa, and Kansas.

- I need an Indiana, South Dakota.

- How about Florida?

I ate a lot of those license plates.

- I must have eaten me a hundred Florida ones.

Them things are dumped all over to sea.

- A license plate eating contest?

I learn something new every day.

- Good seeing you Slip.

We got to get going.

We're trying to find Ping before dark.

- Nice to meet you Slippery Tail.

- You too, Prof.

My friends all me Slip.

Shoot, I just remembered something.

You said this little whale shark's name is Ping?

- Ping, yes.

- Well park,

this big old whale shark,

nice lady, but really, really big.

She comes to the caves.

She says she's looking

- An old fish named Spots

was one of the first ones to come to Mutant Bay.

He was bullied because he was covered with big red spots.

Mean fish in his reef teased him.

He said he had a skin disease.

No one would never go near him.

- Bullies.

- Feeling rejected and sad, Spots swam away from home.

He swam and swam until he found Mutant Bay.

Lonely, he entered Cave Cove,

hoping to find other fish to play with.

Now Cave Cove is dark and scary.

it has many passages that twist and turn.

Some of them get so narrow,

even a tiny fish has trouble wiggling through.

It's easy to get lost in there, forever.

- Spots must've been very scared.

- He was.

After many days, he realized that he was lost.

He started crying.

That's when he heard the voice.

- What voice?

- "Who goes there?" the voice shouted.

- "My name is Spot," he answered.

"I'm lost and lonely.

I had to leave my reef home.

Bullies said my spots could make other fishes sick.

No one will play with me."

- Poor Spot!

- "Do not worry," the voice said.

"Soon, you'll be joined by many other fish,

and you will never be lonely again."

Well Spot was sure happy to hear that.

"Can you help me find my way out of this cave?" Spot asked.

"I will help you," the loud voice boomed,

"if you make a promise."

"Of course," Spot agreed.

"Never tell anyone that you met me,

or that I helped you," the voice said.

"Why not?" Spot asked.

"Who are you?"

"I am the Whale Shark King," the voice answered.

- I knew he was real.

- But before Spot could ask him any more questions,

the water in the cave became a wave.

Spot rode it right out the cave,

and landed in the cold waters of Mutant Bay,

safe and sound.

- How come I've never heard that story?

- Yeah.

Why was ya holding out, never telling us, Scroodle?

- Old Spots swore me to secrecy.

He said I could not tell anyone else

about the Whale Shark King.

He said he only told me because he needed someone

he could trust to guard the entrance to Cave Cove

when he was gone.

- Well that is something.

We got us a magical king living right here.

- This is so exciting.

We can explore Cave Cove together.

- Oh, I'm only letting you, Lily and Ping visit Cave Cove.

Not sure what you'll find there.

Maybe nothing.

Old Spot could have been telling me

one old, long fish story.

- But it could be true.

- The cave had such a small opening.

We are little fish and we had to squeeze through.

Normally I would not have not talked to you.

I would have ignored you

and stayed in my volcano cave to think.

- Don't tell me, you saw me and thought,

who is that handsome shark?

- I am only talking to you

because Fifi, Lily, and Ping are my friends,

and friends help friends.

- We heard they came to see you.

- They wanted to know where to find the Whale Shark King.

- You know this fish?

- I have never met him.

I have only heard stories.

- We've all heard stories.

What is yours?

- It is about a magical fish

that lives in a secret passage,

hidden in Cave Cove.

- Cave Cove?

In Mutant Bay?

- That is the one.

- Cave Cove is crazy.

It has more twists and turns than a giant maze.

You know how many fish get trapped in there?

- They say fish swim in, but do not swim out.

- And you sent Fifi and Lily there?

- Fifi will be fine.

- I hope you're right.

- What happened?

Did I fall asleep?

- I was swimming and swimming and suddenly felt very tired.

- I fell asleep, too.

I think we were swimming in circles.

- Are we lost?

Oh no, we forgot to drop little seashells behind us.

- It's dark in here, Fifi.

I do not think we would see them.

- I think this cave is a trap.

I do not think there is a way out.

- Maestro did say, fish swim in, but do not swim out.

- Professor, and Toothy.

I found Ping's Mom.

- You did?

Great news, Slip.

How'd you find her?

- I'll tell you what I did.

I put out an all alert sea monster call

for a missing whale shark mama.

- A sea monster alert?

- Oh yeah, I heard about that.

Some new tech thing.

Little fish goes missing,

a sonar alarm sounds through the water.

- Is that what it is?

- You are so smart, Slip.

That is what you call using your brain.

- Did it for you, professor.

Forgot to mention one other thing

sea monsters do for Fishmas.

- Help other fish in need.

- [Booming Voice] Who goes there?

- Who are you?

- [Booming Voice] I am the Whale Shark King.

- I knew we would find you.

- [King] Who are you?

- My name is Fifi.

- I am Lily.

- I am Ping.

- [King] Why are you here?

- I was hoping you could mix me a magic potion

to grow big and strong.

- [King] Why should I help you?

- Ping is being bullied.

Other sharks make fun of him.

- [King] Why are you here?

What do you want?

- I just want to help Ping.

- [King] Why?

- He is my friend.

- [King] And you, Lily, why are you here?

- I came to help Fifi, she is my best friend.

I help her when she is in trouble.

(king laughing)

- [King] Friends helping friends.

I find that very refreshing.

Most fish that come here want something.

- I do not want anything, but I have a question.

- [King] Ask it.

- Do you live here with Santa Fish?

(laughing)

- [King] That is a funny question.

Who is this Santa Fish?

Who told you he lives here?

- Santa Fish brings presents to everyone

at Fishtail Reef on Fishmas.

No one has ever seen him.

I thought if he lived here with you, I could meet him.

- [King] Does this Santa Fish have super powers?

- I do not know.

- [King] If he can deliver presents

to everyone in the reef on Fishmas,

he must know magic.

- That is what I think.

- [King] Do you know the best thing about magic?

You do not have to know how it works.

You do not have to know who is performing it.

All you have to do is believe.

Do you believe in this Santa Fish?

- Yes!

- [King] As long as you believe in Santa Fish,

you do not have to see him to know he is real.

- [King] Do you believe I am?

- I do.

(laughing)

- [King] Good.

I like you, and I do not like bullies,

so I am going to help you.

- You will mix me a magic potion?

- [King] No, I will tell you what I know about bullies.

One, do not listen to them.

Two, be happy with who you are.

- That is it?

We come all this way,

and that is all you have to say?

- [King] I did not ask you to come.

- We heard all of these stories about you.

- Stories?

- I was told you had magical powers.

- Super powers.

- You helped a fish with three eyes to have only two.

You helped to fish with a big nose, grow a smaller one.

(king laughing)

- [King] I am a very special fish.

- Can you help me?

- [King] Well, since you came all this way,

I will grant each of you one wish, just one.

- Wish to be bigger, Ping.

Then we can swim home and play.

- [King] Be careful, Ping.

You only have one wish.

What do you really want?

- To see my mom.

I wish I could be with my mom again.

- I wish I could find my way out of this cave

and be with my Mama, Papa and Finn for Fishmas.

- I wish I could see my grandma.

I'm hungry for some Fishmas leftovers.

- I do not think there was a magic potion for us.

(king laughing)

- Mary Fishmas, Fifi, Lily, Ping,

you are all very wise fish and have chosen well.

- We are back in Mutant Bay.

- How did we get out of the cave?

- One second we were there, then we were here.

- What happened? Did you find the Whale Shark King?

- I think we did.

I am not sure.

- What did he look like?

- We never saw him.

- We only heard his voice.

I am sure it was him.

- We got lost in the caves.

We could not find our way out.

- Fifi, Lily, are you okay?

- We are fine, Professor Shark.

- Ping yo, we were worried about you.

Did you find the Whale Shark King?

- I do not know.

He did not give me a magic potion.

- He gave Ping one wish.

Ping asked to be with this mom again.

- There is no magic potion for that.

- I wish that I could get out of the cave.

- I wished to be with my grandma.

I am hungry for Fishmas leftovers.

(laughing)

- I am not sure if that was the Whale Shark King,

but we had a fun adventure.

And now we have our own fish story to tell.

- You certainly do, Fifi.

Ping, did you say that your one wish

was to see your mom again?

- Yes, I do not like being small,

but I would rather be a little shark with my mom,

than a big shark without her.

- Hold on to your fins, Ping,

we got one whopper of a Fishmas surprise for you.

- You do?

- Slippery Tail found your mom.

She's waiting for you in Fishtail Reef.

(kids cheering)

- Maybe the Whale Shark King did grant your wish Ping.

- This is going to be the best Fishmas, ever.

- Bye Maestro, Rip, Tickles, Hopz, Scroodle.

- [Narrator] Fishmas vacation is over.

Everyone is back in school.

A good time was had by all.

But adventures are so cool.

- I am so happy to have all 10
