Welcome, players, to the Ceremony of Truth.

If you all speak your truth, as a reward,

I will give you 5,000 pounds for the prize fund.

Everyone will start the mission with a shield.

Your job is to keep hold of it.

In pairs, you must secretly mark

who you don't want to be protected from tonight's murder.

To do this, one of you must pick up this bucket

and place it behind them.

The marked player must then guess

who they think is responsible.

If that person guesses just one of the guilty pair,

then both of those players lose their shields

and they're out of the mission immediately.

However, if the marked player guesses incorrectly,

they have to give in their shield.

The ceremony will only end

when three players or less are left standing with shields.

Those players will all be protected from murder tonight.

(piercing music)

- You know, we're at the stage in the game now

that everybody wants that shield really badly.

- I will now select two player's names

from this pouch to find out who's going to go first.

(drum beating)

- So in this game, if you're picked,

you have to, along with another player, mark somebody.

And if that person can guess one of the two players

that mark them, they will stay in the game,

and the other two players will be out.

If they guess wrongly,

they, themselves, will be out of the game.

The last people remaining in the game will win

themselves a shield.

(piercing music)

They must discuss now very discreetly

who they think is undeserving of a shield.

I need to keep the shield.

And I thought, who am I gonna pick that's not gonna be

too obvious, and that person will say,

So I had to kind of think strategically then, as well.

about this whole thing of looking for evidence.

So two nights ago, my name was brought up

by loads of people at the Roundtable, and the next night,

my name wasn't brought up at all.

What happened in between was I got a letter

from the Traitors.

They tried to recruit me and I said no.

Okay, because I knew what was gonna happen.

I knew that they were just going to bring me up again

and then I was gonna be stitched up.

And these people that had said from day one,

"Oh, I suspect Anna, I've always suspected Anna."

I was gonna have to stand there and say, "I'm a Traitor."

So I thought to myself, all I can do is

just try to look out for the Faithful, okay?

People brought up my name and then didn't bring up my name,

and we need to look into that.

It's the only hard evidence here.

so I knew that things weren't about to get any prettier.

Put it that way.

Earlier, the Traitors chose

you four to play a little game.

But they start picking me.

- Just to be clear, the Traitors could have chosen

any players, whether they be Faithful or Traitors.

This little game,

I'm gonna be completely frank with you,

is called Death Match.

At the end of the game,

one of you will be dead.

(Leon laughing)

Well, you'll escape and live to see another day.

They are death cards.

However, little glimmer of hope.

One is a life card.

You will all take it in turns to swap a card

Whoever is holding the life card

at the end of that round escapes

and lives another day.

The absolute key of the game is to find

and hold on to the life card.

I didn't want to make it too obvious to the others,

but I was like, wow, lucky me,

Because I had to let everyone else think

that I was disappointed.
