serious. Anytime a patient mentions that she has a breast lump, it's a serious

issue. You're going to want to scoot your bottom down that way. But I have to

keep a very calm demeanor.

I would not, under any circumstances, want to hype my patient up or make my

patient anxious when we do not have a diagnosis yet.

Raise both hands above your head like that, and I'm going to do a breast exam.

Okay. My heart really goes out every time I have a patient diagnosed with

cancer because I know that there's a long road ahead.

I've been close and personal with Jackie and her situation and her experience.

Breast cancer comes when you least expect it. So when I made the phone call

the doctor said to me that it was infiltrating lobular carcinoma, I forgot

a doctor.

And so I know some of the things that the patient's going to deal with. I'll
