This is definitely an Uli versus Hina war right now.

I'm not trying to gas us up,

but we could be strongest five in the game.

till the end of the game, hopefully.

We're hoping that we're about to enter into the merge.

But if we do have to go to another Tribal Council,

we'd be crazy not to look at Sophi.

She's not an original Uli member,

so she's kind of expendable,

which I feel bad for saying, but that's the truth.

I have to protect my own.

I pray we merge tomorrow.

I'm normally the type who's pepping up my entire office,

always have a smile on my face, but I'm dragging today.

And this is after we had a chicken-chicken dinner

last night.

You know, winner, winner, chicken dinner.

And so, I mean, never in my wildest dreams

would I have imagined yesterday that I'd be killing a chicken.

But, I mean, we were just that hungry.

- And we ate last night. -All right.

So, Nate, where are we in the game

- right now, 11 days in? - I mean, look,

you have one tribe that I think is doing pretty well,

or as well as you can do out here,

and one tribe that's struggling, you know?

And I know all we're hoping for is a merge

or something to shake up the game a little bit

because two or three more days on our beach

with just the five of us, I'm not sure

who's walking out of there.

So you're hoping for a merge right now?

I got to say, merging at 12 players

is a good number.

We've done it before.

And you could be looking

when you think about redividing the tribes,

and given that we have a challenge

You were expecting a merge.

It's not a merge. It's another tribe switch.

I think by meeting new people,

it actually unlocks different dynamics in the game

because you don't know who's gonna hit it off.

And you don't know who's gonna hate each other.

So it's scary because just switching the tribes up

does sort of repopulate the game

and make it a whole new game, to be quite honest.

that gets overlooked is...

Here's how it works.

On my go, you'll work together

to push a very heavy cart along a bumpy track,

collecting sandbags along the way.

When you reach the first station,

one tribe member will go up a ladder and use a pole

to knock off two wooden discs.

You'll add those sandbags to your cart

and continue to the next stage,

where the same player will use the same stick

and knock off two more wooden discs.

Once you reach the finish, you'll use one of those discs

to knock over four bamboo targets.

First two tribes to finish win reward.

I feel like this is, is a dream.

Without food for 11 days, my brain just didn't work.

And now

it's reenergized.

Now it's charged up and ready to go,

and I'm ready to play this game, baby.

I have transcended.

Being in a tribe of four now,

there really is nowhere to hide.

But I ended up

with two of my other closest allies--

Rizo and Savannah.

So I genuinely feel safe in this situation right now.

I think MC is in trouble.

I know, like, y'all have been, like, bonding with each other,

so I'm kind of, like, the odd one out.

Like, y'all were here at Hina, but

- we can still be besties. - Yeah, that's true.

I think this is the most dangerous position that I have

been in since I've started this game.

All three of these people

have already been on a tribe, bonding.

Then, on top of that,

my current tribe doesn't know

that I have a Beware Advantage, and

I have no vote right now. I have no vote

until I find that idol.

And it's a scary place to be.

But if I find the idol, then I'm 100% safe.

You know, once that merge hits, like...

It's going to be cinema.

Yeah. It's going to be a movie.

-Yeah. -Right?

If we lose,

I have to find that idol, no matter what it takes.

But Rizo has no idea that

I know that he has a Beware Advantage or an idol.

I'm hoping to use that to my advantage,

create some bonds with him.

I need to do whatever it takes

to get me to that next step, which is the merge.

I wanted to pull you aside

- away from them. - Yeah. Yeah.

I mean, I think Savannah knows,

but I wasn't sure about Sophi.

- Okay. - But Sage did tell us

that you have an idol.

So I feel like it's important for us to stick together.

- Yeah. - 'Cause, like, everyone knows now.

But I actually appreciate you telling me that, by the way.

MC hit me with the big breaking news that

literally everybody in the game

knows I have an idol.

I am not naive.

I expected this to happen because Survivor is like

a middle school lunch table when they are gossiping

about who's the hottest girl or who's the hottest guy.

Like, that information's going to spread.

I will say, I don't know who from your tribe has it.

- So I'm assuming nobody found it, then. - Okay.

The fact that everyone knows

I have an idol does scare me.

But on the other side of the coin, it does not.

Because a man with a lot of power

does strike fear in people.

And I want to instill

fear in these people's hearts.

-ALEX: Grilled cheese. -Our grilled cheeses.

I don't know what my last piece of bread was, yo.

- And a little cheddar. -Is it even cheddar?

- What is this? - I don't... I don't know.

I don't even care.

Survivor is harder than it looks.

You really don't get sleep, you don't eat.

And then Uncle J said, "Drop the Buffs."

I start shaking, and then

everything really just goes black.

That's never happened before. I think it was just the heat.

It was

all these different emotions

that I had about missing the family and, like, anticipation

of a tribe swap.

- Are you done? - Yeah, I'm done.

I eat... I eat so fast.

But this new Uli tribe worked out perfectly.

I have Sophie, who's been with me since the very beginning.

There's Alex, who I made an amazing connection with.

And then there's Nate, who I haven't had a chance

to meet yet.

So I'm ready to rock and roll, and it's all thumbs up.

I am Nate. I am 47 years old.

And I am currently a stay-at-home dad.

-That's awesome. - Oh, cool.

I have two young girls.

All of a sudden, on a game

that I've been pretty much

at the top of for the first 11 days,

I am now on the bottom of this new tribe.

And it really seems like I'm at risk.

This couldn't have gone worse for me.

I have about a day

to really ingratiate myself to these new people

so they're not going to vote me out.

How much does Tribal suck?

They were just two very different Tribals.

-Yeah. - Because one was--

to be quite honest-- an easy decision.

An easy decision.

Was that Matt? Yeah.

And honestly, I found out

he was targeting me, and I was like, "Well, that's over."

I let them know that Matt was an easy vote.

And that says,

"Hey, Nate's being honest."

And I wanted to establish a baseline

of "I'm a truthful narrator" because my next story was a lie.

Last night was a tough vote...

- Yeah. - ...'cause I really do like Jason.

-Yeah, he's a good guy. - Yeah.

And we kind of hit it off,

and we were trying to work together.

I was bummed, but...

My story to them is

that I was working with Jason because,

gosh, he's just the coolest guy.

The truth is, I love my former Uli members.

We unanimously voted Jason out of the game.

But I have to show this tribe I am not Uli strong,

that I am willing to work with Hina,

and I think they bought it.

Who is he working with?

I don't understand who he's working with.

- I know. -It just doesn't add up.

-It doesn't add up. - Right.

It could all be lies

that Nate was going to vote with Jason.

- Yeah. -He is not going

to flip on red until he has to.

-Yeah. - Yeah.

I think Nate is telling me what I want to hear,

feeding me all sorts of lies,

because the truth is,

he's not ready to turn on old Uli.

For all I know, they are all best friends,

he loves all of them.

And I don't trust him.

This is old Hina versus old Uli.

And if we end up at Tribal, Nate is going home.

-Welcome... to Kele. -Ah.

You know, it's actually better than I thought.

- Yeah? - I was expecting, like...

First order of business is corralling chickens.

It was chickens pandemonium, dude.

It was a jailbreak. It was Chicken Run.

They were all out. All the chickens were loose.

I snatched that chicken so fast, and

if I could sacrifice one chicken for an alliance,

I would do that in a heartbeat.

Before the swap, I felt really solid, and now,

if you're doing the math, you see three red, one yellow.

I'm the easy person out.

I think we handled that all really well. Thank you.

- I think we did, too. - Yeah, yeah. Yeah. - Teamwork, guys.

So the odds just dramatically shifted against me.

I've known Shannon and Sage, but Jawan is someone

I've been dying to meet, and I was ecstatic to finally

just have a one-on-one, genuine connection with him.

You're the person that

I've been looking forward to meeting the most.

I'm kind of a cheesy dude,

- so just be warned. - I'm the same way.

I tell a lot of dad jokes, so I'm cheesy, too, man.

There is this war, and we're winning.

Going, looking for fish,

trying to catch crabs-- most people

will never have an opportunity to do something like Survivor.

I'm taking advantage of this beautiful

tropical wildlife we have here in Fiji.

So much of my life back home is work.

This has just been an out-of-body experience.

This is going to work wonders for my life back home.

And I know it's going to impact

the rest of my life.

I do feel good about us.

And obviously, I really would love us to

not have to go to a Tribal, but, like,

if we lose,

the reality of the situation is, it's got to be Nate.

I think if I get him comfortable enough?

-Yeah. -Yeah.

And maybe you can, like, bro it out

- a little bit and get him comfortable enough. - Right.

So that he doesn't play his Shot in the Dark.

I just think that's the easiest way.

Kristina's saying, in order to make sure that Nate feels safe,

she's going to throw my name out as the decoy.

I'm livid, I'm scared.

And it just kind of confirms,

Kristina views me as an expendable number.

I'm tired of being at the bottom of all these alliances.

- Like, very early on in Hina... - Mm-hmm.

- ...Kristina had thrown my name out. - Right.

Alex has nobody.

His closest person out here is the other Sophi.

I could be his new Sophie.

Screw other Sophi. I am the new Sophie.

When Kristina's like,

"Sophie, we'll use your name as the decoy,"

like, that obviously gave me,

- like, a huge amount of pause. - Right.

And because of that, like,

I'm kind of worried that she's going to use this to get me out.

Is there a chance that you would want Kristina to go home now?

Yeah, I'll take Kristina out.

Like, I think

- us going forward together... - Yeah.

...would be stronger for both of us.

I genuinely do want to work with Sophie.

She's a tough cookie, and I respect that.

We need to make sure that it's us

who aren't going home, and so,

unfortunately, Kristina and Nate's necks are

I just have so much faith

in God, and I believe God put us here

on this tribe together for a reason.

Do I feel more confident

with this tribe than I did in the last Kele tribe?

Absolutely.

I'm decently connected with a good amount of people here,

so I am

the luckiest person because I believe I'm lucky, you know?

I think I have lucky girl syndrome.

I believe good things happen to me.

But, yo, I think us three, lock, lock, lock.

- Yeah. Yeah. -Absolutely.

If we lose, we kind of

- know what direction we want to go with. -Yeah.

- But either way... -We're sitting good.

There's just definitely going to be

some work to do and some communication to be had.

- How was the little Uli reunion? - Good.

I want to make sure that I'm good

strategically with everyone, so I have

full 100% control of this situation.

I will say it is, like, a little bit scary

Steven has to trust me a lot

because when you look at the tribe,

it seems like he's the obvious one to go.

But Steven's someone I really want

to work with moving forward.

Reconnecting with Sage is super important

because, you know, I love Sage

and she feels like someone I can trust,

but we haven't proven that to each other yet.

in this game, fire represents your life.

That is gonna be the case tonight.

I mean, this is so scary, but so cool.

As a fan, as a player, as a human

who loves new experiences,

this is heart-opening

beyond what I ever could have expected.

So, does that kind of describe you?

Would you say, "That's who I am,

Yeah, it's definitely who I aim to be.

You know, I've guided a couple meditations for the group,

and we're constantly working on keeping our heart open,

because, you know, beyond the scary aspects of the strategy,

when we keep our hearts open,

we're able to embrace that versus kind of be afraid of it.

And I think that's why, as a tribe,

we really seem to click and vibe

in a way that I never expected,

which is what makes it so much harder

to be sitting here at Tribal

knowing that one of us has to go home.

I'm an open person, Jeff,

hence why I'm on Survivor.

I'm always down to try something new.

And actually coming into this experience, I was like,

"It'd be kind of cool if we had, like, a yogi,

"like, meditation guide

on the opening tribe."

I don't know how, it just happened, but, uh...

She manifested it.

Jawan, let's see if we can make it unanimous.

Um, I'm kind of open, too.

I-I feel like my door is always open,

until you give me a reason that made me shut that door.

Steven, that was a cagey answer.

Could be 'cause it's day 12, and he's exhausted.

Could be he doesn't want to say any more.

It's like being at an awkward high school dance.

There's only four people to talk to.

That's very few data points.

That's very few conversations to have.

And it's a little harder to tell

are people being truthful, are people being deceitful?

And the funny thing about being on a tribe

of just four people--

when two people go off,

odds are they're not talking about voting each other out.

There's a 50/50 chance your name is in the mix.

- Wow. - So every conversation matters,

especially when we're about to enter act two in this game.

No one wants to go home pre-merge.

So, yeah, the game is being played every second.

Sage,

there's nothing wrong with playing Survivor hard,

as long as you're playing well.

Totally, totally.

In a Tribal Council of four people, like,

you have to play hard, to an extent,

but, also, you don't want to play too hard,

'cause then the target shifts to your back, so,

it's-it's hard to find

that balance in-in a situation like this.

So, Shannon, how do you navigate that?

Because you can play hard and covert,

and that's fine 'cause nobody knows,

but if you're playing hard and everybody sees it,

- Right. - then you're playing poorly,

- and that's a problem. -Totally.

Yeah, and I think with

three of us here haven't been to a Tribal,

so you may think you're playing a great game,

you may think you're going hard and you're being strategic,

but it's a game of action over words and conversations.

And I think we're gonna see, tonight,

how those actions align with where the trust really lies.

Steven, how big a factor is the talk of the merge?

It's the entire talk.

It's driving everything.

We're so close that everyone can taste it,

everyone can smell it,

and you can feel it in your bones.

Getting this close to the merge

and falling short is heartbreaking.

And it looks like I might be the one on the outs,

if you're looking at a yellow member in a sea of red.

- Shannon, Steven brought up the tribe divide. -Yeah.

Does it still exist 12 days in?

Is it three Uli and one former Hina,

and maybe Steven should be worried because of that?

Well, I mean, when you look at the way the other Tribals

have been going, it's been clear that

original tribes have been playing a role.

But to me, I think

tonight's vote is so much more about who do I want

to move forward with going into something

as big as the merge.

So, going into your first vote, Steven,

how comfortable are you that the vote's gonna go

the way you think it's gonna go?

I feel pretty comfortable that it's gonna go

the way I think it's going to go.

And if it's not, then it's an indication

that I was drawing dead to begin with.

That's what's so scary about making it this far into the game

without having been to a Tribal.

I've never had a chance to test

"Have people been telling me the truth?"

So this is a huge leap of faith.

this giant abyss that's the distance

between this crazy, cavernous ship

that's been cut into two,

which is awesome, by the way.
