he brings in a group of rogue soldiers

to basically murder and torture anyone who speaks out.

Hmm, the kind of torture that they did to Olly.

Yeah.

Nimuel grew more and more paranoid.

He became convinced that the government

was coming to take them all away.

Nimuel's soldiers slaughtered everyone in the village.

- Everyone but Olly Navarro. - Somehow he escaped.

Fast forward 18 years later,

and Olly connects with other Filipino emigrants.

And eventually he meets someone else from Takaban.

- Edwin Bernal. - So Edwin knows

all about Olly's troubled past.

He sympathizes, even gives the kid a job

canvassing houses for Mia Fuentes.
