[Love Between Fairy and Devil]

[Episode 17]

In fact, I don't know much about

my lord killing his father.

All I know is it has something to do with

the love-eradication forbidden theurgy

my lord has suffered from.

This theurgy is recorded in an ancient secret book

and is extremely difficult to perform.

So far, only my lord has succeeded in doing it.

An ancient secret book?

Where is it now?

Do you know?

Can you take me to see it?

I want to know what's written inside.

It's in the first Moon Supreme's chambers.

But

it has been burned to ashes.

Orchid. Orchid.

Fairy.

You really shouldn't go in.

My lord has said

the chambers of the first Moon Supreme are out of bounds.

No one is allowed to enter.

Otherwise

they would be branded, get their tongues pulled out

and tortured to death!

Orchid, do you hear me?

You must not go in.

Besides, Black Dragon has said

the secret book has been burned into ashes by the first Moon Supreme.

It's no use even if you find it.

Let's go back.

Jieli.

I must go.

What you don't know is

my lord has always been protective of you.

But this is a different case.

In the 38,000 years of serving my lord,

I've never seen

someone who angered my lord

for something regarding the first Moon Supreme

still survive.

The first Moon Supreme

is my lord's biggest concern.

That's one more reason for me to go then.

Orchid.

Since it's been a concern

for tens of thousands of years,

it must have been bothering him all the time.

I must find out the reason

and the right medicine

to relieve his concern,

so that he can sleep at night.

Orchid, come back now.

Are you trying to get yourself killed?

Aren't you always the timidest?

You guys go back.

Don't worry about me.

This is none of your business.

If Moon Supreme Lord is to hold someone accountable,

just say you haven't seen me.

Black Dragon.

Go and stop her.

Let's take her back by force.

Fairy.

I'll go with you.

This chamber is so big.

You won't be able to find it yourself.

I also want to share my lord's worries.

In that case, I'll die with no regrets.

Why are you both going crazy?

The Lord has always disliked me.

If they die,

I sure won't survive either.

Wait for me.

Wait for me.

Good.

My lord will surely love it.

How many hours have you spent

learning this song?

Father,

more than a month.

Are you

the young master of the Moon Tribe

or are you just an instrument player that entertains people?

How could you waste your time like this?

I carved this ice zither for you with my own hands

as a congratulatory gift.

I don't need such a frivolous gift.

Who

taught him wood carving, zither playing

and played around with him?

Execute them all.

No!

Spare my life, Moon Supreme Lord.

No!

I asked Auntie Wu to teach me.

Don't kill Auntie Wu, please!

Let's go.

Stop it!

Spare my life.

No one can touch her!

Let's go.

Spare my life.

Auntie Wu!

Young master.

Young master.

Young master.

Auntie Wu!

Young master.

Young master.

Young master.

Young master.

Young master.

Auntie Wu!

Young master.

Young master.

Young master.

Auntie Wu!

Auntie Wu!

Young master.

Young master.

Why don't you kill me?

You are my father.

Such a coward.

When will you learn hellfire?

Come again.

[Cangyan Sea, Fuju Cave]

Black Dragon.

Have you found it after so long?

Not yet.

You see?

Maybe it's not here at all.

Let's go back.

Orchid.

Orchid.

Orchid.

There is one last place left.

The first Moon Supreme.

Please forgive me.

I've seen this before.

This is the box that contained the secret book.

It really was burned to ashes.

Why would I lie to you?

See?

It's a waste of time.

Wait a minute.

The secret book

was made of wood, wasn't it?

Yes, it was.

Since it's made from wood,

maybe I can recover it.

I'll try.

Father.

Please, please kill me.

I

I can't take it anymore.

As long as you don't get rid of your love,

you shall not leave this spell.

Let me ask you.

Have you forgotten

parental love

and brotherhood?

Have you forgotten

parental love

and brotherhood?

Then

what do you remember?

The vow to revive the Moon Tribe.

To crush Shuiyuntian.

Good.

Very well.

Only one more step to go.

♫ Waiting for the moment when the sky collapses and the ground cracks ♫

♫ When it collapses and shatters, open your eyes ♫

♫ There is nowhere to put the soul but only to land ♫

♫ If our souls get to know each other in the world ♫

Meet the new Moon Supreme.

♫ Watching the vows come and go ♫

♫ I can't bear the world without you ♫

Kill me.

♫ The last of love ♫

♫ The tenderness of fingers tangled ♫

♫ Turned into a sharp sword and stabbed at me ♫

♫ Farewell Love ♫

♫ Blurs time and distance ♫

♫ Even time is suspended ♫

♫ All because of you ♫

♫ Make sure you are the only one in my heart ♫

♫ It's too late to say goodbye ♫

♫ I can't speak the regret ♫

Meet the new Moon Supreme.

Meet the new Moon Supreme.

♫ Too late ♫

♫ Too late ♫

I never thought

it'd be so painful

♫ Farewell Love ♫

to remove love.

Orchid.

I understand now.

My lord has been in so much pain and irritable lately.

It must be because his Love Tree has come back to life again.

That reminds him of his childhood.

He will never forgive his father.

I don't understand

why a father would

treat his son like this.

Didn't he

love his child

at all?

He didn't seem to.

No wonder my lord hates him so much.

I don't believe it.

There must be more to it.

Orchid.

Orchid.

Wait!

Orchid, come on.

Are you done?

Why are you still not leaving?

Do you want to get us killed?

Orchid Fairy.

Forget it.

It's been more than 30,000 years.

I'm sure we can't find anything valuable.

And my lord and his father have such a deep grudge.

This is not something we can undo.

I found it.

[To Father, from Qingcang]

Look here.

A gift from Qingcang to Father.

This is a gift from Dongfang Qingcang to his father.

And here.

This zither was once split in half

and was carefully repaired again.

A zither that was no longer useful

was still placed in the closest cabinet to the bed.

Isn't this a sign of

how the father cherished this gift?

And this wooden ball.

It's a child's toy.

I've heard from the older people in the palace.

Dongfang Qingcang liked to play with wooden balls when he was a child.

But Xunfeng didn't like it.

The wooden ball was put together with the zither.

These children toys are still well kept.

Doesn't this also show that

the father loved his son very much?

It's a scroll

for the Moon Supreme's close attendant

to record his words and actions.

But it should have been in the treasury.

But the old Moon Supreme

hid it in the secret crevice of the chamber.

I think there must be a secret here.

Shangque.

In the middle of April,

the Lord tried out Hellfire Sword with Qingcang and Xunfeng.

Xunfeng was no match for Hellfire,

failing to wield the sword in an instant.

Qingcang wielded the sword with ease.

He's the best one among the Moon Tribes

in addition to Yannv.

And then?

The reason why the first Moon Supreme

took away “The Book of the Living”

was because he didn't want others to know

that Dongfang Qingcang

was the only person who could use the Hellfire Sword.

Dongfang Qingcang once told me

that anyone who wants to learn Hellfire

must first be gifted

and second, be removed from love.

In all three realms,

only Yannv and he were qualified.

Back then,

Yannv was betrayed by Chonghua from Shuiyuntian.

She then learned Hellfire after cutting off her love.

While Dongfang Qingcang was…

Even when he found out

that I was the only genius

who could master Hellfire,

he never smiled at me once.

He even looked at me and said,

"Why you?"

What's wrong with you?

I'm just feeling sad all of the sudden.

The moment the first Moon Supreme found out

that Dongfang Qingcang

could wield the Hellfire Sword,

he must have been very sad.

It was his most beloved son.

but he had to learn Hellfire,

remove love

and suffer every pain

to revitalize the Cangyan Sea.

That's why he looked at Dongfang Qingcang and said,

"Why you?"

Only he knew

what he was thinking.

You can only take a guess.

Only he knew.

Jieli.

You're so smart.

Orchid.

You said you're going to ask him in person.

You're not going to the bottom of the Memory Loss River, are you?

That's right.

When fairies and those of the Moon Tribe die,

their spirit will rest in the realm of

the Realm of Return to Ruin at the bottom of Memory Loss River.

I just have to go there

and find the spirit of the first Moon Supreme.

Then I can confront him in person.

But

the Ranxi flower that can awaken the spirit

has been extinct for tens of thousands of years.

You can do nothing

without it.

If it hadn't been extinct

and everyone uses it to go to the bottom of the Memory Loss River

to talk to their deceased loved ones,

the Memory Loss River would be livelier than the Haishi City.

Besides,

not to mention a living Ranxi Flower,

even if a withered one

is a valuable collection.

It's worth thousands of spirit stones.

A withered one.

Jieli.

Do you know where to find withered Ranxi Flowers?

What are you doing?

Just tell me if you know.

There's one in Silent Moon Palace.

When Xunfeng was the Moon Supreme,

he went around looking for a Ranxi flower

because he missed his father.

Someone presented him

a dead Ranxi flower.

It was placed in the Pavilion of Spiritual Treasures.

Let's go to the Pavilion of Spiritual Treasures and look for it.

Let's go.

Don't bother.

I've already stolen it.

Can you give it to me?

It's just a dead flower.

What's the point of giving it to you?

It has its uses.

Give it to me.

No.

It's worth a lot of money.

No.

I told you.

This is a Ranxi flower,

a rare treasure of the Three Realms.

Do you think it's the same as those common grass

in the Arbiter Hall?

It's not that easy to bring it back to life.

Why don't you give it back to me?

I can sell it for a lot of money.

Ever since I met you,

my fortune has never been good.

Even the Love Tree can be revived,

why can't I save it?

I'll try again.

Why are you still trying?

How long has it been?

Your wound is open.

Didn't you notice?

I want to try one last time.

Stop it, Orchid.

How many times have you tried?

Alright, listen to me.

Are you trying to get yourself killed?

Are you insane?

Jieli. Jieli.

Look!

It's alive.

The Ranxi flower

is alive.

It's really alive.

How is this possible?

I know.

It's the blood.

I see.

Ranxi flower lives on blood.

The undercurrents of the river are dangerous

and sharp as a blade.

If anything happens,

you won't be able to return.

Do you really want to go?

Jieli.

Cloud Shadow Mirror.

Orchid.

Have you thought about it?

Even if you're lucky enough to reach the Realm of Return to Ruin

and find the first Moon Supreme,

he's been dead for tens of thousands of years.

He may have already forgotten

all these old stories.

Or maybe

he was just a cruel and heartless father.

You won't find the answers you're looking for.

Jieli.

I've thought about

everything you've said.

But I'm still going.

Dongfang Qingcang is already guilty of killing his father.

Now he insists on executing Xunfeng.

The world will think that

he's killing his siblings,

and is going to repeat the patricide.

I can't let him

be misunderstood like this.

As long as there is a glimmer of hope,

I won't give up.

I know you're worried about me.

But I can't think of

any other way.

Who said I'm worried about you?

I'm afraid if you die in the Memory Loss River,

no one will pay my debt.

You can rest assured.

When I come back,

I'll pay off

all the debt I owe you.

You must be careful.

Don't get swept away by the turbulence.

I know.

This stuff must be very expensive.

I can't afford to pay it back if I lose it.

But Jieli, think about it.

If there is no Cloud Shadow Mirror,

even if I meet the first Moon Supreme,

I wouldn't be able to remember his words.

So I will hold on to it.

Are you an idiot?

I meant you.

Don't get swept away by the turbulence.

Don't worry.

My lord.

It's time for the execution.

Let's go to the execution site.

It's been four hours.

Why isn't she back yet?

Orchid.

My lord.

Where is she?

She's...

Are these all spirits?

This is the Realm of Return to Ruin.

Are you

the first Moon Supreme?

Who told you to come here?

Go back.

I'm not done asking yet.

What do you want to ask?

I want to ask your father

why he did that to you back then.

It's not your place to ask.

This is my dead father.

How imperious he was back then.

Now there is only a poor spirit left.

No need to ask.

I don't want to know

anything about him.

Let's go.

You said he didn't love you.

Why did he still keep your zither?

My zither was destroyed by his own hands.

You broke into the forbidden place.

That's right.

If I hadn't gone there,

no one would ever have known

where he hid the zither.

Wooden Head,

I'm already here.

Let me go and ask.

Whether you want to kill me, hurt me

or pull out my tongue,

do it after we get back.

Okay?

I said

no need to ask.

Let's go.

First Moon Supreme Lord.

How long have I been here?

30,000 years.

30,000 years.

30,000 years.

Who are you?

I... I'm...

Your son sent me here.

Qingcang?

Has he swept away the fairy realm

and restored the Moon Tribe?

This is

all he cares about.

First Moon Supreme Lord,

do you recognize this zither?

Of course, I do.

Then did you

restore this zither?

Qingcang

gave it to me as a birthday gift.

But I

trampled on it.

I felt so sad.

Hypocrite.

If you couldn't bear it,

why did you destroy with your own hands?

Qingcang.
