hit in the back of the head,

causing blunt force trauma.

The wine bottle.

There were fragments of glass
matching the broken wine bottle

found at the scene in
the wound and of course,

wine stains in his hair
and on his clothes.

But there's no way he'd die

from getting hit
by a wine bottle.

That's the thing.

The blow from the wine
bottle didn't kill him,

though it very likely
knocked him unconscious,

at least temporarily.

So, what was the cause of death?

He was stabbed in the
side, chest level.

And they punctured the
ventricle of his heart,

causing cardiac tamponade.

The bleeding was
predominantly internal,

very little external bleeding
there at the entry point

to the stab wound, which
is about seven inches deep.

You think it was a knife?

The shape of the wound
and the fact that we found

traces of glass in it makes it
very likely it was from a shard.

From the same wine bottle.

It appears so.

And the angle of entry makes
it very likely the attacker

was left-handed.

See, the thing is, we didn't
find a shard that size

at the crime scene.

Or pieces with the
