I found my way back

but just as meaningful normal.

And then came Little Jack's
diagnosis last fall.

At first it felt too big
to ever overcome.

But at some point

you have to look up,

take in the new landscape,

and begin to accept
that although it has

indeed changed forever,

something beautiful can
still rise from the ashes.

The fire was a far
reaching tragedy.

and I don't think any of us
can quite yet comprehend

all that's changed.

The flames cruelly
stole from so many,

not only their past,
but the future as well.

We will rebuild.

But first we have to mourn.
