the queens back home in Atlanta.

She’s very southern,
she has that twang,

and she has that

it resonates with me.

I’m originally
from Dallas, Texas.

I’m still there.
I’m not going anywhere.

- I had a pretty adult
childhood.

I helped raise my sister,
who’s special needs.

We’re two years apart,

and the diagnosis
is Angelman Syndrome.

She has a touch
of cerebral palsy

and mental retardation.

But she’s smart as a whip,

My mom was in and out
of our lives,

and she was addicted to drugs
up until our adult life.

And then she was in prison
for this last time,

and in prison,
she got clean.

My daddy worked his tail off.

He had been a single father

all the way up
until he passed away.

He worked at a bank
for like 18 years,

but then he found his passion
in clothing,

and he put all his energy
into fashion design.

And once he got laid off,

he put all his energy into that,

and I think that’s what
brought me and him together.

Because he was
a struggling artist,

I’m a struggling artist,

and our relationship
just blossomed.

He came to my pageants.

Anything that was of importance
to me, he was there.

So I didn’t have
much of a childhood,

but I don’t regret one minute.

By this time, I was all for it.

This tour,
we are changing lives,
