I've been an entrepreneur
all my life.

I moved to the
city at the age of 18

and I began a catering company
with a very small
investment of $800

and I had to figure it out fast.

Yeah, no kidding!

I started producing muffins and
I made muffins for everybody.

You pour it in the bowl.

I baked three in the
morning, till eight at night
making muffins.

Try, try, trya.

Our first year, we were
doing $100, $200, $300 a day

and eventually, you know,

we were doing $40,000 a day,
$50,000 a day.

That's a lot of muffins.

She was working so hard
to provide me with everything

that I was given in my life
and everything that I have

take that for granted.

and I live in Yaletown.

I'm a former Miss Ohio and
was in the Miss America Pageant

and my talent was singing
and I was really fortunate

to have won the talent award
of Miss America.

I lived down in LA
for quite some time

and fell in love with a guy
from Vancouver,

he was a venture capitalist
and lo and behold,

I ended up in Vancouver.

He made us a
heck of a lot of money,

which meant I could
actually focus on my singing.

Who knew that I
would become a Canadian pop star

upon moving here?

I've had 7 top 40
hits in the country

and, you know, in the past,

I thought a career
could only last you so long,

but a marriage will last you
a lifetime...

We ended up splitting,
but you know what?

Uh, it was a silver lining
because I think Vancouver

is one of the most
beautiful places in the world

and I love
having raised my kids here.

I was pregnant when my first
single "Do Me Right" came out
actually.

I was like, "Oh, my goodness,
'Do me right'?

That's a great title when
you're like this, "Oh, boy...
